761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you would win a Jackpot what would you do with the money? on: September 21, 2017, 11:27:22 AM
If I get to win one. depending on the amount involved. If its high as possible like say 100btc, the first thing I want to do, is to resign my day job to take time to think on the next line of action. After that, I will withdraw little by little to avoid drawing attention where I can then invest as much as possible in a reputable money market platform to generate decent and consistent profit on a regular basis. The rest I just watch and smile on how I wont work again for the rest of my life.
762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are the Big Gambling sites paying taxes? on: September 21, 2017, 09:24:48 AM
Of course big gambling sites will pay tax because its just part of the requirement for them to continue to stay in business. The taxes might not come in form of income taxes like all other companies but licenses and permits will definitely eat into their business. On the issue of not publishing their financials for the public, this is due to the fact that most gambling firms are not publicly owned as they are majorly own by individuals, group of friends or families with limited amount of people.
763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinions about whitepapers on: September 20, 2017, 03:43:34 PM
What is your opinion of whitepapers you read.
I'm asking because I read few and was very inaccurate, very confusing.
Please let me know your opinion, thank you.

I have read several but I didnt understand it especially when it gets to the point of sharing of token, amount of tokens to be raised. Even from the introduction and down to implementation the few I have read just lack coordination to me and eventually I just stop to rely on the review of others that understand how the white papers are written before replying on such project and the quality of the team out in place.
764  Economy / Economics / Re: Most people dont even know what this is yet. on: September 20, 2017, 09:22:27 AM
As much as the people who are into bitcoin already, there are still several others that are still outside the net and waiting to be tapped and brought it and that alone sends a message to those of us in to try as much as possible to add one more person to ourselves with that alone, the population will double and in few years down the line, it will skyrocket to a point where all together a course of action can be taken.
765  Economy / Economics / Re: A sprinkle of realism ... on: September 20, 2017, 05:53:12 AM
Sometimes, being overly optimistic is not any way wrong because human beings by natural configuration is meant to wish for the best even though he might not have access to make it happen at the moment. Its true that every active users of bitcoin wants the price to go higher but at the same time no unmindful of somethings not planned for that might happen along the line. So, our quest for high price is not one that is blinded to the goal alone but cognisance of ups and down along the way.
766  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is everybody dumping Bitcoin? on: September 20, 2017, 04:39:35 AM
The market is so decentralised in my own thinking that the behaviour of participants cannot neither be controlled nor predicted which is in this case, as so many people are dumping several people are also holding because I know that if everykne should dump at once, what price is saying will be a price for what it would have fallen to. For those who are still holding like myself, don't loose the faith as we are sure to have the last laugh.
767  Economy / Economics / Re: What is a good amount of BTC to Buy? on: September 19, 2017, 07:10:37 PM
I think you should mortgage your house, take out a home equity line of credit and load up the boat with BTC!

You must definitely be joking with this your advise, and I am sure Op is intelligent enough to separate real advice from joke. Even as at now, anyone still asking the right amount to buy in btc is either a newbie totally or one who is lazy at reading because at every point the notification is always there to only put what you can afford to lose not because its a ponzi but because of avoidance of heartbreaks that it might cause if one did other wise.
768  Economy / Economics / Re: GoodNews: Japan is finally given licence to bitcoin exchanges on: September 18, 2017, 07:52:12 PM
"Every disappointment is a blessing" - Unknown

Japan has finally joined the crypto-currency race by giving licence to crypto-currency exchanges but with regulations to avoid experiencing another market collapsed by the market e.g. Mt.Gox

Coincheck’s application approved for Japan’s new bitcoin exchange registration
https://www.cryptoninjas.net/2017/09/13/coinchecks-application-approved-japans-new-bitcoin-exchange-registration/amp/

Its actually a good thing that one country is bold enough to have come out to partially fill the shoe that the Chinese exit is going to create in the market. I also believe that this will send a message to the Chinese government that what they are turning their back on, someone else is seeing an opportunity in it and maybe that would influence their decision making process in the coming days.
769  Economy / Speculation / Re: New Spring for BTC - Storm has ended on: September 18, 2017, 12:56:12 PM
Just a peep at the price shows the recovery is strong but the concern is if the current trend can be maintained up to the ealriee point where the crash occurs and the reason is because while we are rejoicing that the recovery is happening, to someone who bought at $4900+, its not any where close to his target and they should be commended for not dumping when the going was tough.
770  Economy / Speculation / Re: Short term investment on: September 18, 2017, 06:21:14 AM
Bitcoin has been an asset of value that everyone with your interest is taken care of whether you want to be a long term holder or a short term holder, you will be taken care of. Where the problem comes is that some people want to be long term and short term holder at the same time. In the sense that, I want to buy at $4000 and sell at #4500 in three days but nope that's not long  term and that's not short term before of the margin is too short.
771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Asking about myetherwallet on: September 17, 2017, 05:35:35 PM
Is the wallet myetherwallet required fees?

If yes can anyone give or provide a link where you can get a legit faucet websites?

Faucets at this time, I bet you will have to back out due to frustration on even meeting the minimum treshhold for payout and the number of hours you have to put in to achieve a fraction of that threshold. My ether wallet is one that is cool and even supports most of the token related. Just buy but if you have enough time you are not using, then you can invest it in faucets.
772  Economy / Economics / Re: China banning bitcoin exchages, good or bad? on: September 17, 2017, 03:30:02 PM
Currently, we all might be looking at the effect of the ban and the news surrounding such as something that is bad but looking at the big picture, I would say its all good because one sure thing is that bitcoin is coming back  stronger. It then means that bitcoin is now immune to one more big thing and if this does not happen to test how strong bitcoin could recover, then there is no way it can stand what is to come in the future.
773  Economy / Economics / Re: Pump and dump is the name of the game. on: September 17, 2017, 11:30:11 AM
We actually believe what we wanted to believe and since that is the game, then everyone move along with it whether you win or lose is now up to how you play the game.  However, the pump and dump is actually a figment of our own imagination because if that is the game, then we should also liken it to what is happening either in the stock market or the foreign exchange market. What we are facing is just made possible by virtue of volatility and nothing else.
774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be useful for governments and banks? on: September 17, 2017, 08:24:26 AM
Very often I see people asking here if governments and banks are going to destroy crypto, because it aims to replace them.

But what if governments and banks can benefit from Bitcoin too? Here's a few cases that I can think about.

Just like US military invented Tor for their own use, cryptocurrencies can be used by agencies like CIA for their own purposes. They can secretly fund opposition in other countries, as well as fund private companies, researchers and political figures.

Bitcoin can be used as universal global money, it's much cheaper to store and transact than gold. Many countries are unhappy with financial hegemony of USD, and Bitcoin can easily solve this problem (although centralization if mining around China can be slightly problematic).

Banks can offer their customers better privacy via cryptocurrencies.

Thoughts?

Truth be told government might have even been using bitcoin for the purposes you have mentioned but will not come out openly to admit it because to them, its not the right way of doing things yet and to mostly what those agencies do, are if not outrightly illegal, its is immoral coming to say bitcoin made it possible for them, means adding more negativity to what is on ground already.

776  Economy / Reputation / Re: Tomatocage & Lauda = female? on: September 16, 2017, 06:23:25 PM
Who cares if It is male or female. Fact is Lauda and Luptin are the same Person, hence he or she is a blackmailer and luckily he or she was removed from staff. Thanks to Shorena for giving this scammer negative trust.

Edit: Read through old threads, when ever Lauda is attack Luptin defends Lauda. Either they are gay or lesbian or the same Person. They even have enrolled in same signature campaign.  Shocked

This is one funny response that I have read here but unfortunately a "newbie" could know the two of them so well to have established a pattern in their posts. For the fact that we see things the same way does not mean we are one and the same person and not until we come to a public forum to argue against each other before people know we are against each other in terms if ideas. This your submission is not only faulty, but equally unfounded.

778  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Nexchange.io Developers trying insult to respected Members pls stop it. on: September 14, 2017, 10:59:02 AM
I really don't understand what the fuss is all about. A business came out to hire someone to manage his campaign and said what he can afford to pay. Its an open invitation. If you are comfortable with the terms, you apply if not, you swerve to another campaign that your interests align. Rather than coming out to malign their name, you can set up your own business and run a campaign instead.
779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin transaction fees fair? on: September 14, 2017, 08:45:55 AM
As at the last time I carried out a transaction which is not even too long ago, I  think the fee is pretty fair to me and I don't think I can get anything lower than that from all the other options available to transfer funds to another country where I transferred about .2btc and the fee paid was even not up to $5 in which timing is not too long.
780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you Jamie! Just bought some cheap coins again. on: September 14, 2017, 07:59:37 AM
We should thank all the idiots for the cheap coins. They give Bitcoin free publicity in the media < Bloomberg > and we get more expose to the general public.

This is JP Morgan's track record : http://violationtracker.goodjobsfirst.org/parent/jpmorgan-chase

When these people make desperate statements like this, you know they are up to something. Everyone should applaud him for his actions, because people already hate institutions like this and they just opened up old wounds.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/6zpzdp/my_memory_is_failing_was_it_bitcoin_or_was_it_jp/

Bring it on, we just love all the free publicity, even if it is negative. This gets people talking about the things that started all this. Satoshi did not introduce this technology because it was just another fun project. It was perfectly timed after the near collapse of the world economy. < Then the government jumped in and bailed out these companies with tax payers money. >

We will NEVER forget this. Thank you Jamie for reminding us. ^smile^

In every situation, there is an opportunity which is what smart people have been doing. Its a risk though but we are willing to take such risk afterall the higher the risk, the bigger the reward and that is  exactly what is happening. While the doubting individual will still come later after recovery and whine about some people getting into bitcoin early not knowing that early happens every time and its not only a matter of time or years but gets in.
