7901  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin and altcoin on: July 08, 2018, 07:07:00 PM
I believe the natural place to be for Bitcoin is around 80% of marketcap share dominance, and this will eventually come as the altcoin bubble pops, because clearly, the utility of the altcoins out there is near 0 except a very reduced number, and this is not sustainable, it is for a while, inasmuch a Madoff scheme is sustainable, but eventually tower of cards will collapse and said cards don't disappear, they will be put into the Bitcoin box making it around 80%.

Right. Perhaps a good 60-80% bitcoin dominance will be a fair estimate. That's why market cap is not really a good measurement specially for alt coins in terms of its real value in the market. Most of the time is it pump beyond believe and then bitcoin dominance falls back. But if you are going to look at it, doesn't really makes sense for a coin to be pumped above 100% and gaining dominance and then the next day it collapses.

This does not mean you should stop looking for good altcoins. Even after all the scams I've been through, I still dedicate some time to altcoin research. It's only a matter of time we see something good coming other than Bitcoin related improvement proposals.

Yes, we shouldn't stop looking for one because there's some coins who has really some purpose and could potentially grow the price. Unlike those pump-and-dump coins whose value goes artificially.
7902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN is FUTURE !!! on: July 07, 2018, 11:18:06 PM
Yes, I agree that bitcoin or crypto in general is the future. The only problem that we are facing is governments around the world is very hostile against bitcoin because they are afraid that it would took over. In a sense in might, but in a positive way unlike what they are thinking.

Imagine we can do anything without any third party involved (usually banks), then that would be amazing. However, governments and central banks doesn't like that, but for majority of us, this will be a good option to do transactions without having to pay huge third party fees.
7903  Economy / Economics / Re: market refresh or just a pump ? on: July 05, 2018, 11:33:35 PM
After many depressed days now we can say market is going to stay here for some time and then we can watch some good jump as its happen many time in past but still we cannot say its in green because any big drop can happen again we have to wait for some more time then surely this is going to stay on green or can give some good uptrend

Its been up and down, but the recent price hike seems to be stable so to speak. We have been above $6K for quite some time now. If day traders or whales decided to take profits, its should happen a few days ago when bitcoin peaked at around $6700. But it didn't happen and the price is still going strong at $6500++.

A good sign that investors are not making any sell but buying more bitcoins in anticipation of another break out run for $7K-$10K at least in the next succeeding months. So just stay tune and make the necessary adjustment on your part to ride this wave on the next recovery phase.
7904  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dont Buy BTC Expensive, Wait. on: July 05, 2018, 10:52:18 PM
Dont Buy BTC Expensive, Wait. Whale want to sell you Expensive BTC  now, wait and buy BTC cheaper.

Lol. Wait till what? When bitcoin hits < $1k? The problem with your argument is we don't know when the price could bottom that's why we should try to buy small portions if there is a sudden dip. And try to observe what is the sentiments before making a decision.

Right now even though we are making a break out run, the price is still cheap in my opinion and it still a good time to buy. Don't wait if you have the budget today, because once bitcoin make another bull run you will be left out and miss other opportunity and might regret not purchasing it will the price is still below $7K.
7905  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has the bull run of Bitcoin began? on: July 03, 2018, 08:21:03 PM
The market pumped 2 times this week so that is a good sign that the bull run of bitcoin has begun. The question is how long it can go for and when it will reach $20k again, could it be this year?

Others doesn't want to used the word "pump" in bitcoin market. They say that this market is not a pump-and-dump scheme. However, I really like what we are seeing in the last 3 days because bitcoin suddenly increase its price and it looks like its trading around the $6500-$6600. Maybe the bull run has started, or it maybe the case of a dead cat bounce. But, I'm bullish about it so let's hope that its going to be sustainable and at least hit $7K before the end of this month.

Really? I just now came to know about it. I hope the price will increase more and people will get to increase their money as well.

Where have you been living? under the rock this past couple of days? Or are you really busy with all your twitter bounties?
7906  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin value on: July 03, 2018, 07:38:10 PM
What escape path for Bitcoin?
The value of Bitcoin is still very high . Some problems of bitcoin are difficult to solve as :
- Slow transaction speed

The last time I checked, confirmation time is very quick. Haven't you heard about a $300 M transaction with $0.04 fees, confirmation in about 4 minutes? https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/39afcad6c4d0713ed291014315c4dcf2d81334275218c28fd354af45b7395c61.

- consumes a lot of energy

I don't know when investors started to become very alarm about mining consuming energy. I suspect that this is just another argument to throw off investors.

- It is banned in some countries

That's their own choice. We cannot control them.

- Price manipulated

Debatable. Any particular whales you are aware that manipulating the price from behind?

Is there a sustainable future for bitcoin and cryptocurrency ?
Bitcoin will become the coin of payment as its purpose is created. Or is it just a game of whales? A financial game with winners and losers

Of course its sustainable, the last bitcoin is not yet even mine and it will took many years before we can achieved time. I don't think that its a game of whales, because others have used to pay online, including myself.

7908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: July 03, 2018, 09:21:34 AM
Oh man, what a big addition again to Warriors line-up. DeMarcus Cousins signed a $5.3M 1-year deal. This guy want a ring, that's kinda too low salary for a guy like him but he still agreed. As for GSW, he maybe a big addition but I don't think they still need to add such guy in their line-up. I mean they are strong enough already.

I guess that's their weakest link, the middle, they used to have Bogut then but adding a solid centre like Cousins will put them again on top and offload some on Green's shoulder to man the centre. I don't know though how they are going to handle Cousins temper, I hope that the guys had mature enough and that chasing a ring with GSW will be his focus next season, Its a one year deal though, so its like a waiting game, if Cousins mature and help the team win another ring then I'm sure that he will be extended, if his performance is subpar then they will let him go. (McGee left and joined Lebron in LA). We might even not know, but Cousins might be the 3rd splash brothers. Grin
I don't think that GSW has problem in the middle because they are even deadly when they go small but with the addition of Cousins it definitely take some of Green's load. Cousins' scoring is a bonus to the team, what they need from him is the presence and intimidation factor in the middle because they can't leave him to double the splash brothers.
Cousin is still young but very desperate, why would he sign for the super team and receive only a small salary.
Now, the warriors just ruin the competition, even if Lebron is in the Lakers, I don't see them betting the new improve GSW.

Players now learn that its better to have a small salary but have a good chance to get a ring while they are still in there peak instead of having a huge payday but can't still get their team pass the 1st round of a play-offs. Maybe he learn something from Durant, opting to work with Curry and Golden State to win a trophy even though his salary is greatly reduced.

So this is not a desperate move for DeMarcus but a good move. He doesn't want to be on Charles Barkley or even Chris Webber. All great players but didn't have the ring to back up all their NBA accomplishments.
7909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Shyness in gambling on: July 02, 2018, 11:52:59 PM
When you're playing with someone's money you need to feel shy about it. Gambling is a way to show yourself a risk taker, here you afford what you can loss. It can be of fun or for profiting, unless you make money without disturbance to the one next to you nothing to shy.

You are not shy to borrow someone's else money just to play, so I don't know how you are going to feel shy about it Lol. And I don't think that gambling is a way to show others that you are a risk taker away, I haven't seen gamblers playing just to show off may except for poker because its you against other players.

But going to a casino for the first time is different, you will feel a bit shy but if you get used to it, I'm sure that in just a matter of hours that shyness will be gone and you will enjoy yourself having touch a casino and you will be addicted to it, that's for sure.
7910  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Every thing I touch go down (gravity rulez) on: July 02, 2018, 05:03:53 AM
Guys every coin a buy the price automatically goes down ... contact off  we can may take advantage of that algorithm behaviour

ac--

Lol. Its just a coincidence buddy. However, since we are in a bear market, you should not be surprise because simply every coins/tokens are going down without any reason. Maybe you need to get out and not buy at this point or just invest on a few coins that is cheap and not touch them for the next coming months. But once this market recovers again, I'm sure that gravity can't stop the price from increasing, and you might even get the profit that you are all hoping since joining this market.

Iam in the same situation, too big loss even more than 50%. And i dont have any idea to recover the loss, i can only wait for the market turn in to bullish. This is my loss should be become experienced for me , and later i can make greater strategy how to manage better of risk crypto investment.

Then the only strategy is to really wait mate. If you sell then you will get a negatives, which every one does like it. And just remember that by holding, you are still not losing money.
7911  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is making admirable progress! on: July 02, 2018, 03:44:26 AM
As a new investment instrument, bitcoin shocking many peoples in the world. In short period, bitcoin price rising and reach $19k in just 8 years and i am believe bitcoin can reach as predicted by many analys and reach $60k end this year
ya i heard some people said that bitcoin will go to more than $50k at the end of the year. maybe that is only to attract investor so they can stay longer in this investment. it is good because more people who adopted can help to realize that

Those people saying that bitcoin can go to $50K at the end of year are either have tons of bitcoins in their wallet that's why they are trying to influence the market and at least swayed investors to pour their cash on the market again, or people who don't really understand how the market works. To be perfectly honest, bitcoin will not go to $50K at the end of the year, period.

We may not even get to new all-time-highs this year because of so much selling pressure along the way. But it doesn't mean bitcoin can't recover anymore and the bubble has been burst. It may take some time, but 2018 is not very favourable to us. So just continue to HODL and hope everything changes for the better in 2019 and beyond.

I think bitcoin could well reach $2,000 - $3,000 if this $6,000 support get's broken. If you would sell now chances are high you could buy back and thus double your btc holding.

This is not financial advice, just a thought.

And this is not a good year for crypto I believe. Late 2019 we'll see some action.

If you have bought bitcoin above the current price then obviously its not a good deal to just sell it. Remember that by just holding your bitcoins, you are not losing any money. So it doesn't make sense at all to sell if today, specially if you are in for the long haul. You could always buy bitcoin when it goes down, and continue to accumulate as many as you can.

If price breaks the 6,000, I do not think it is going to deep badly more to $2,000 or $3,000. I'm expecting that market is going to take a positive decision this month ending.

To be honest, I think that $6K support level might be holding on for a long time unless we really see negative news and FUD that will really put some doubt on those holding at that price and just decided to push the sell button. As for the positives, well, we can't really tell right now, hard to see when its going to happen but I have no qualms that it might be just around the corner.

7915  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin miner stoped distribute bitcoin on: June 26, 2018, 10:37:23 PM
what if all miner bitcoin stops working does not generate or distributes bitcoin for one day if it could affect bitcoin price?

You have to understand that there's a lot of miners not just in China, although they have the bulk of the mining farms there. But lets say all of them stops mining, then in just a couple of days bitcoin price will plummet because this will severely impact investors mindset that bitcoin is already dead.

However, realistically, I don't think that all miners will have a collaborative and coordinated effort to shut down everything. Its business at the end of the day. So it doesn't make sense at a business standpoint to just stop it just even for a day because you are also losing money here not just investors or traders.

Now the former three main starter of the Oklahoma City Thunders now have Season MVP title each.

Good thing Oklahoma City Thunders doesn't retained this players as those three are having the same playing style.

But the worst thing is, it's now again happening. Carmelo Anthony will remained in the Thunders with $28m contract for 2018-2019 season so another incompatibility of some plays will happened again between him and Westbrook. For Thunders fan, just hope that their blend will now be good so no such thing as bad chemistry will be opened again.

That's something that can be talked when all the 3 retired in the future.

And I agree with the Carmelo Anthony case though. It really looks like Melo best days are over so we don't know why OKC still gives him that lucrative contract anyways. He still thinks that he's a superstar, but the stat says otherwise, OKC should have used Melo as as a trade bait to get players that will help Russ because Melo didn't do anything last season. He is purely a isolation player, but he is too slow and all he can do is fade away shots that mostly didn't hit the mark.
7918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GGG vs Canelo II on: June 19, 2018, 09:54:09 AM
Ok let me try to get it straight.

In the first fight, Saul Alvarez took the lionshare's of the purse. Splitting 70-30 on his favor. Golovkin then retains all his belt as a result. It ended up in a draw and both verbally agreed to a rematch but then time is 65-35, which is fair in my opinion. However, Saul Alvarez was caught with steroids on his system, causing the May fight cancelled. Golovkin then beat Vanes and broke Bernard Hopkins of 18 successful defense of the Middleweight crown. Now here's my take.

Canelo has more bargaining power now since (a) Saul Alvarez was suspended because of illegal substance on his system (b) He broke Hopkins record (c) he is the undisputed champion. So I think he has all the rights to at least a 50-50 split and eventhough he and his team verbally agreed on the 65-35 at the time because the result of the VADA wasn't well known yet.

But as mentioned, dela Hoya shouldered the remaining 2.5%, 57.5-42.5, but Golovkin rejected. So at the last minute, and to salvage the fight, he had to cough out that remaining 2.5% so that Golovkin will get 45%.

And as everyone who follow the first fight, it was a robbery indeed and I hope Golovkin winning. He did the damage early and I don't think that the championship was enough for Alvarez to rally to at least make it a draw.

I think you mean that Golovkin has more bargaining power now, Canelo is the nickname of Saul Alvarez. I don't think GGG's destruction of Vanes has much to do with this position for the next fight. Also, where did you read that Canelo took the major share of the first purse? Doesn't seem realistic considering GGG was the A side?

Yes, I stand corrected, it should be Golovkin has more bargaining power now. Saul Alvarez is the A side during the first fight because the has lot of fanbased And Golovkin hasn't have that drawing power yet in the US soil. While Alvarez has established himself as boxing cash cow.

Quote
Oscar De La Hoya, Alvarez’s promoter, said Tuesday that a 57.5-42.5 split was his final offer and gave Golovkin a deadline of noon PT Wednesday to accept it. A determined Golovkin, who accepted a 70-30 split for their first fight last September 16 and a 65-35 split when their rematch initially was scheduled for May 5, was rewarded for holding out for that final 2.5 percent.
