7922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any chance to pump eth value? on: June 17, 2018, 03:43:03 PM
Just like the other altcoins, ethereum price is dragged down by the bitcoin's falling price and might recover again when it go up. But I am positive of ethereum growth in long term and there is possibility that its price will go up again before the year end. The price downtrend is temporary and it affect not only ethereum but almost all cryptocurrencies and tokens.

Yes, and with EOS as the heel of ETH to mount a big challenge, I wouldn't be surprised if the price just maintain on the levels of $400-$500 unless something or someone put millions of investment of ETH because of some good news. Of course we need to be positive at this put, but to be honest, I already dumped the last of my ETH last month now because I no longer trust it, but I needed money for emergency but I'm glad I did because it went on another crash and followed bitcoin' free fall.

Anyways, let see how EOS will do as well, there were rumor that some of the project are moving to EOS platform but I don't know if that is true or not mostly ICO are mostly dominated by ERC 20 tokens which is based on ETH platform.
7923  Economy / Economics / Re: Why BTC is tremendously undervalued on: June 17, 2018, 03:07:58 PM
Bitcoin is the most overpriced and expensive asset in the world that does not have any utility or application. The only good thing about Bitcoin is that Bitcoin achieved to present the Blockchain technology to the world, but not more. So, I don't believe BTC will remain as valuable asset for long-term. When the hype is over, a crash is expected any time!

Lol. What hype are you talking about? If bitcoin was hype we could have touch $100K today. I don't think that you truly understand the idea behind bitcoin or crypto for that matter. I suggest you go to back and read Satoshi's Whitepaper and come back here. Its not even touted as asset in the beginning. Satoshi created it for micro payment, P2P application.

The hype that surrounds it is when bitcoin become a Store of Value (SoV), that's why the prices suddenly jumps from < $700 >>> $19K last year. But no matter what the so called hype is over, the price is still good, although we can see that the price has drastically fallen, again if you look at it, from < $700 >>> $6500 is still strong so I don't think that the hype has died down.
7924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What made you Invest into Crypto Currency on: June 17, 2018, 02:42:41 PM
I guess most of those who invested in cryptocurrency wished to have a financial freedom, as what Bitcoin's idea of creation in general. Some investors believed in cryptocurrency's potential to penetrate the world market and make use of it as a currency more than just an investment asset. And I am one of these investors that made me invest in this field. There are still plenty of room for mass adaption around the world and I would be glad one day if we can use crytocurrency in almost all of the aspect of transactions.

Well, personally, that was not my first intention though, I just wanted to test out crypto, however, last year was a good year and brought financial freedom to all of us. We now have more purchasing power, we can used our bitcoin and convert it to fiat and settle everything (internet, water, electric bills). So who wouldn't like that?

And then the potential to get a good ROI specially if you will just HODL on it was also present. Another good reason that really open the market for most people, globally. Although the market suffered and the price free fall, the equation is still there. Everyone that month after month a fresh air come and change this bearish sentiments so that we  can again enjoy the financial freedom we have last year.
7925  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoins price is falling. on: June 17, 2018, 02:18:16 PM
The fluctuation of price of btc or cryptocurrency is high. I think there’s a massive sell out btc when it was a bit higher last month that’s why the price drop suddently. We will expect the price will increase on the next quarter.
It's normal so nothing to worry about cause bitcoin is part of the market. Fluctuations are usually happening because it's not just always being on top. Sometimes the price must go down too to motivate us that life has a problem to be solved. We must not lose hope instead keep on going and help bitcoin to rise again.

For me it will cause some alarm on investors because the price is drastically reduce from as high as $19K>> $6K. That's a big drop so I'm not surprised by the frustrations and worries from most of us, even those experienced traders. But we are not giving us on this market and this is a good opportunity get and purchase it at a cheap price.

you should take advantage of such a moment to be able to buy as much as bitcoin, bitcoin prices are not high and will not be long under then should buy when the price is cheap.

Yes, that''s the bright side. Since the market has turn to red and somewhat fluctuating around $6K-$6,500, it would be really a good buying point again because we have bottomed. And it will not be long when we see the price started to pick up and make its break out run. So investing today its a good choice and just wait for the next 6 months to take your profits.
7926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: June 16, 2018, 08:36:37 PM
Oh god! I'm so up for Kawhi Leonard to join the Lakers. I just don't want to think about what they have to give up. I saw an Instagram post said that the Spurs are asking the Lakers to give up Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram, but I didn't believe that post one bit. I thought that the value of the player drops when he says that he wants to leave. Personal decisions make the player less valuable for transfers, how come they are asking for Zo and B.I?

That's the price that the Lakers have to pay. They have built their team around Lonzo now but I think he will be used as a trade bait to get Leonard. No one thought that Clarkson will be traded because they are building him as the next Kobe Bryant, unfortunately we was let go. So I wouldn't be surprised if Lakers shift him out as well to either get Leonard or even Lebron himself.

As for the value of players, they have existing contracts, but I don't think that Leonard will accept less than what he is getting from San Antonio, unless he is somewhat like a Green or Durant mentality, accept less money in order to get more players to built a championship team or even a dynasty.
7927  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin stay above 6500? on: June 16, 2018, 07:53:09 PM
I wonder if I should sell now or hope for the bulls. Looks like it's way too late to sell...

Selling at dip doesn't make you money unless you bought it very low. Bitcoin did stay above $6500 after falling at $6K but it doesn't mean we are out of the woods yet. Most of the "speculators" is pointing that it can still go below $6K, so it doesn't look good at the moment. It looks like the bears are still very strong so the bulls can't do anything but to waited it out and look from the outside.

There's no news that will temporarily halted this bears which is kind of scary for all of us. But hey, we have been is this kind of situation, maybe tomorrow or the next day we will bounce back or it may go down again below $6K. So I advise everyone to make a back up plan now and follow it if something worst came into the market.
7928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: June 16, 2018, 11:20:17 AM

Manny is already old, he might not win a fight again. He might be out of shape already after months of no jogging and practice. But maybe for the sake of  exposure he will just fight and even if he lose he is not after the money.  The guy is already rich I think he is running for senate re election and this game is one of his plan to appear in the media.

Looks like you really didn't know that Manny have regular exercise as part of his daily routine. Even when there's no upcoming match, he always do that routine. Media will not covered it of course because in the first place it's a normal scene.

Sake of exposure? lol. You really think Pacquiao will have a sole purpose of fighting just because of exposure? You don't have an idea how large and wide his mechanism here in PH if the goal is for public exposure. Smiley

Manny is a avid fan of basketball and I remember him having a close relationship with Boston big 3 then specially Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce. He's even have his own basketball team if I'm not mistaken. What I'm trying to drive out is that Manny not just loves boxing, but other sports as well. So he is really involved in other sports like basketball so he must be really keeping his physical eventhough he is busy at his Senate duty.

I also agree that he doesn't need that exposure, just hearing his name would be enough for the Philippines to go out and watch his fights. He is very well known obviously that he was elected as a Senator in a very tough election two years ago. Exposure would be the least reasons Manny will fight again. He really wanted to redeem himself from his last fight with Horn.
7929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: June 16, 2018, 10:57:07 AM
If ever Kawhi really leaves Spurs, that's a big loss for them and they aren't a ring contender anymore not unless they will get Lebron James in exchange but if these two superstar team up in Lakers, sure thing Lakers will be back in Playoffs or if they choose both Spurs. They stand a chance against the superteam Warriors.
I dont know the reason why Kawhi will really leave the Spurs next season but if he will be traded, I wish it will be a playoff contender team or he will stay in Spurs and they will get Lebron.

I saw some rumors that Kawhi and Lebron will go to Sixers.

Nah, Leonard wants to be traded in LA Lakers. While Lebron hasnt decided yet. But Leonard, Lebron, and George could potentialy land in the same team, cosidering that Leonard and George wants to play with Lebron, and I hope it would not be in the western conference. Chances are slim, but they really need to build a superteam, someone needs to make a move, GSW is indestructible.

There's was a cryptic tweet from Jeanie Buss, owner of LA Lakers and trying to land Lebron and Paul, but its too early to say. Her Do not ever understimate tweet put the NBA fans into frenzy and up speculation is that they might be really getting a upperhand on Lebron James.

But for me, GSW is not indestructible, we have seen Houston almost got the chance to upset them in their playoffs if not for CP3 getting injured and the wrong move by the coaching staff to go and continue with the 3's eventhough they are not hitting them.

As for Leonard issues, its already an open book in the NBA social media that he really wanted to get out out the Spurs that he didn't do anything this season and wanted to be traded as early as last season.
7930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The value of the token on: June 16, 2018, 10:02:20 AM
I am a bounty hunter. I participated in the Airdrop campaign and bonuses. But I have an evaluation of the value of the token when listed on the floor.
- The Airdrop campaign distributes free token and you will use your referrer to get more. Most of these Airdrop campaigns are not mentioned in selling their token releases. These campaigns deliver a large number of tokens and most of their projects are not of interest to investors. But it does not matter, It is important that the value of the token when listed on the exchange is very good. The value of this token is the pump.

- Bounty campaigns: These campaigns are engaging people in a variety of ways, including through social networking, signatures, natural content creation, translation, and so on. Projects through the Bounty campaign to promote the project are interested investors and their project is successful in selling the token. But in my opinion, these tokens when listed on the exchange are not really worth it.The value of these tokens fell sharply when listed on the exchange. It can be reduced to just one third of the ICO purchase value.

So why does the value of the project fail in the ICO, but the value of their token when listing the trading floor is very high? They distribute their token with many Airdrop campaigns. Meanwhile, successful projects in the sale of ICO, but the token is low value when listing on the exchange?

Have you heard of a pump-and-dump scheme. Well, that's the main reason why the prices of token suddenly exploded when it was go live and schedule to be listed in a exchange. Many groups have anticipated this kind of situation, so they usually bought or hold at it cheap price but then they will suddenly pump it before and during the actual listing, but then eventually it will all crashed in the end.

As for successful projects having low value, most of the time, their pipeline hasn't been met, or delayed because of unforseen reasons. I hold tokens that I didn't sell during the listing and now its down by almost 60%. But I believed in the project, What I'm trying to say is that a successful project takes time, it needed to mature before we can enjoy the price. Might take years or even months, but if the project has a good roadmap, eventually investors will find them and will pour their cash on that coin.
7931  Economy / Speculation / Re: No change in bitcoin price for 24 hours on: June 16, 2018, 09:36:20 AM
Today Bitcoin fell from $7500 to $6,700 and the price has not changed in the past 24 hours. It is at $6750 all the time.

Did something go very wrong with Bitcoin ?? -12% fall in one hour and then no trading till now..

And a few days after you opened this thread, the price seems to go down to as low as $6K-$6.2 and now we are hovering the $6.5 range. What went wrong? Well, there's a report that a South Korean exchanges was hacked, sending another shock wave that causes the price to go down because of panic and eventually we hit another low for this year.

But just like other market crashes we have seen, its better to not opt out at this point because once everything has settled down. We have see some recovery on its way. It's just the timing was so bad because we have been in this bear market for all eternity and it seems it will not end. But anyways, I urge everyone to remain positive and keep HODLing.
7932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: planning for down market on: June 16, 2018, 12:36:24 AM
when market is going down what strategy you adopt??? like some people will sell or may be buy , some will hold or may be convert btc in usd.
i would like to know from all of you about your planning/ strategy.

Usually when the market is in red, I like to buy a lot of coins that in my radar for the last couple of days. So I try to accumulate as many as I can and hold on it. Also I see to it that I don't sell at this time, just because others are offloading doesn't mean you will do the same. Besides, we all know that you are not losing money if you continue to hold, and it won't hurt your portfolio.

I guess I got immune already. I'm not saying that I'm not affected, of course its our nature to get frustrated seeing our portfolio down because of the current bloodbath, but I always remains in the positive. We have seen this many times, market dip, people panic and sell, and then once it recovers, they regret their decisions. I don't want to be that guy. So I stay calm and wait till everything settles down.
7933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Awesome project on: June 15, 2018, 07:37:07 PM
Any investor can tell stories about investing in a strong team with a bad idea, because he believed in their abilities of creating a valuable product in the course of their activity.

I think its one of the success criteria that someone needs to look at.

Therefore, it is crucial that the team should be multi-professional, and  have had some success. They should also have at least some experience in the blockchain domain. Quite often, teams try to launch fundraising when they don’t have competent engineers dealing with the blockchain. The founders consider money-raising to be the most important task and they are pretty sure they can employ an engineer later on.

Obviously, in order for the projects to succeed, the CEO or whoever is on top, should get competent devs and ensure that that have the correct job description and skills before they hire one. It means that the CEO should filter out and not just hire someone to do the job and in the end, it exploded in their face because the person that supposed to do it was a no show or doesn't know what to do.

The second section of the white paper should contain the product description: prototype data, first users and development strategy. Frequently, in the course of ICO the project team only have a perfectly designed pdf and a few mock-ups. Yet, they have no actual product, its potential users and development strategy. If the project already has an ecosystem and users, this increases the chances of token survival on the market. These elements must therefore be present in the documentation.
Awesome team

And at least not to technical so that a casual like most of us will understand what they are trying to accomplished in the first place. And those investors who are going to their Whitepaper can relate to it in layman's term. I see Whitepaper being too technical and its hard to grasp and chances are, investors will just stay away from that project.
7934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is that a begining of the end? on: June 14, 2018, 11:55:28 PM
I'm interested in Your opinions, don't You think we are in the middle of failing cryptocurrencies?

What do you mean middle? This is the bottom for this year and we still have like 6 months to see if we can somewhat recover or the bears has taken over the market in 2018. Its really incomprehensible to see this year, from as high as $20k and falling to $6k, ouch and as investors that truly hurts.

However, I'm not totally sold that this bear market could maintain. There will be a time that we will make another rally and push the price to at least $10K. So I'd say that we have bottom right now for this year, but the good thing is that we all know that once we go down, logically we will stand up and bounce again and go even further. So everyone who is still holding, will be very happy once another bull run happens in the near future.
7935  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-06-13] BLOOMBERG: Bitcoin Extends Its Collapse on: June 14, 2018, 11:39:17 PM
Bitcoin didn't rally last year because of some positive news, because there were no significant positive news at all. In fact, there was much more FUD than today, because of SegWit2x and Bcash attacks, and later because of high transactions fees. Also the FUD about 0.5% of electricity first appeared in the last year. What is happening now is just the market cycle, the price skyrocketed and went parabolic without any good reason, now the market is bearish because no one expects to have a new rally just half a year after a previous bull run and ATH. News in general have very little impact on Bitcoin's price, and even when they do it's pretty short lived.

Exactly, we are all in awe at how the price could gather steam and almost touch $20K last December. But most seasoned trader are scratching their heads because we don't know where all the money is coming from. Maybe we can conclude that the CME and CBoE entering the game didn't do good but bring us more harm as the market free fall from $19K to $6K.

I guess its really a expensive lesson for everyone here, specially who FOMO and bought bitcoin as its peaked and thinking that we can go on parabolic rise. We all got burned, the market suffers and keeps on struggling and we do hope that we can even get to $10K at the end of the year to kick start 2019 with at least to end this bear sentiments.
7936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why do altcoins follow bitcoin? on: June 14, 2018, 11:00:14 PM
Is true money moves and it seems no new entry of money on any particular coin so i think maybe if to say new investor decide to embrace say ethereum at the time while bitcoin seem stagnant where it is then it means market capitalizations moves and it may even cause a change in power in position if its strong enough..Good point I think the whole thing is about market capitalizations

Almost all the money come from the bitcoin market, so obviously when people move their funds from bitcoin to altcoins, bitcoin prices are affected and vice versa. That's why we always say that altcoins follows bitcoin. However, there are rare causes then both of the markets really shown good gains, just like we witnessed last year.

And I rarely see new investors going into altcoins in the beginning of their investment. Almost everyone loves to enter thru bitcoin market and once they gain confidence on how investments and trader operates, we will see some funds moving out of the bitcoin market and flowing into alts. So there's strong correlation between the two and that it how the market works.
7937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops profitable? on: June 14, 2018, 10:31:37 PM
Hi guys, I'm doing airdrops now for 2 weeks but are airdrops that profitable they look like? The main question for me is: Could you make money (100+$ a month) with airdrops?
If you are more active all the day and participate in all of them then it is possible that you can make that much money but try to read about the project so that you not trapped by the scam projects otherwise you will waste your time with that.

I honestly believed that there are still legitimate airdrops out there. But its hard to spot them at the beginning because we all know that after 2017, airdrops are no longer profitable because it turn out to be scams as well.

I firmly believe that airdrops are sheer waste of resources . The expectations from airdrops are high and so does the disappointment people get from it .
Most of the airdrop coins don't even get lucky enough to get registered so getting some huge profit is a thing of far future .
I think a very lucky person can only hugely profit from airdrops . Airdrops has a tacky reputation .

Again, last year was a good year for airdrops because there are really legit so its not a waste of resources or time. However, overtime the expectations has changed I don't know what made them the flip to be legit to a scam. Because it was really giving us a good profit in the beginning. Just sad that it had to end this way, so for us, we still have to learn a lot from this market because its also evolving.
7938  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Hardware wallet vs Software wallet on: June 13, 2018, 11:58:04 PM
Surfing on the bitcointalk forum, I sometimes see some threads discussing about hacking of wallets and the discussion is geared towards the best wallets to secure individuals from hackers. Hardware wallets are normally mentioned. I decided to find out about hardware wallets and my searches made me know that, wallets which are normally hacked are of software base. I found out that some viruses which attack computers are able to steal private keys from the software wallets that we normally use. The issue of virus attacking a computer makes the use of hardware wallet very advantageous over software wallet since the hardware wallet are immune against viruses, hence viruses cannot steal from such wallets. My question is what are some of the hardware wallets and how can one get a hardware wallet?

I dig some previous discussion Hardware Wallet for you mate:

I'm pretty sure that you will find tons of idea on which hardware wallet can suits you. Actually hardware wallets are fairly cheap that's why I don't understand why people keeps on using online or even desktop wallet. Although other wallets have advantages, specially if you are a daily trader, but if you are a long term investor and just wanted to HODL bitcoin for more than a year, then definitely a Hardware wallet is the best for you.
7939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Big moneys coming on: June 13, 2018, 11:34:59 PM
The media manipulated us to hodl! “Big money’s coming” meanwhile they dump there load all over us!

Again, as I have said in the previous thread, you need to filter out everything you read from the media, because we all know that most of them are not true specially on how they manipulated the market in the last couple of days. Maybe some big entities from behind is pushing it, that's why media are schilling about the price movement.

So I advise that if you are not that really sure about how this market works, its not for you. Specially when prices goes down, your are being too emotional and every news you read are going to be true. So stay cool and just let ride this crisis together and it will be over soon.

On the other hand those immune to negative news are seeing this on the bright side, another perfect buying point if ever bitcoin goes way down as other may have predicted it.
7940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People move out from cryptocurrency! on: June 13, 2018, 11:05:58 PM
I have heard from many people that there are many people to leave the cryptocurrency.

Is that right?
If  yes then what are the reason behind on it?
If no then why people spreading that kind of news regarding cryptocurrency?

People selling off doesn't mean that that the will leave the crypto market for good. Maybe they don't like what they are seeing and decided to keep themselves at the sideline for now and just waited it out till the market bounce back and then go and enter the picture again.

For those who decided to get out, those are newbies who FOMO and thought that this is the best way to get rich easily specially last year when bitcoin suddenly goes to $20k (almost). But when the price goes down the following month, and seeing their portfolio going down, they decided it was not for them so  they panic and sell everything and never comes back.

And regarding people spreading this? Well that is what you call FUD, maybe they wanted to really bring the prices down because they wanted to buy cheap bitcoins. That's why you need to filter out every news, stories and rumors you read about bitcoin because 90% of them are not true and they just want to instill fear and panic specially to newbie investors so just be careful.
