821  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic and finances start young Age Stablecoins on: September 09, 2023, 07:22:41 PM

Its stablecoin. There is nothing to teach for that except how to send and receive using their wallets and which blockchain it uses. Stablecoins are just like fiat that just turned into digital using blockchain. But then we are up to this again.

What schools should be teaching is thorough economics, which we learn in trading from why money has value down, how a country fall once finance is a mess and a limited supply of currency is much better than government has the right to print. This is so that they won't mess up again like the people who created this financial system.
822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ask about prediction on: September 09, 2023, 07:10:15 PM
Hi,

I want to ask about how if I giving football or other predictions in this forum. Is it allowed? No feelings. I don't have any purpose and just wanna share what I can.

I don't force anyone to use my prediction because it is just a sharing prediction with all of you.

Thank you.

How dare you!!  Are you an experrr... Oh we're not gonna be forced oh yeh sure you mean thread like this? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1877785.0

There are tons of users who are fan of such sports, you can literally just walk into any bar and find one who talks about premier league all the time. They all have a say which one is going to win in every match. So if you wanna share and create a new thread, hope to see you post your big wins as well in that thread.
823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does an online Foodbetting site sound? on: September 09, 2023, 07:02:45 PM

There use to be hotdog contest before or burger contest, the ones who ate the most wins. There were fast food restaurants who runs this kind of contest before, but it seem on the best promo of these days. A contest on who ever eats more within 5 minutes is nothing sort of different, it just need on to be hungry as a dog and he'll east faster than piranhas.

Its not a sport but a contest. Its easy to know who would win in such contest since its usually the big belly guys who wins an eating contest.

I'm a bit surprise OP didn't warn us that its from 1xbet.
824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A typical weekend in sport betting-Why do gamblers still do sport bets? on: September 09, 2023, 05:16:50 PM
I would venture to say that this is the main reason fans gamble on sports at all, when I think of all the people that I know that make sports bets none of them care about games like poker, dice or slots, so it is not as if they like gambling itself, what they like is the feeling of having more at stake when their team wins or losses.

So in a way gambling in sports bets is simply an extension of the passion they have for a particular sport, this is also similar to what I see with video games, in which people play a video game that is about the sport they love but otherwise they do not care at all about any other video game.
But some gamblers gamble on sports and play casino games like poker, craps, or slots. I also sometimes gamble on sports, and I also play slots. So gamblers will choose gambling games that they like, and there may be gamblers who like all gambling games even though they don't play them very often.

And what makes gamblers return to gambling is winning some money even though not many can. When gamblers have found a gambling game they like, they will return to the casino, and it doesn't take long for them to return to the casino. Besides that, gamblers who gamble on sports betting place their bets again because their favorite team will compete or they really want to use their free time by betting. But some really want to bet at the end of the week.

To feel normal I guess. Gamblers will gamble, that's normal to them. They can't  take their eyes off the odds they see on matches in order to make money, they bet especially on the sport they follow the most.

There are just casino games as well that doesn't need learning at all. You don't even need to be a fan of the game to play it. And if there is no matches during the week, casino games will do to make the day normal.

825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest reason people fear Bitcoin investments on: September 09, 2023, 04:39:54 PM

I think we have passed that phase anymore. Only those people with no knowledge in what is happening in the finance world will not see Bitcoin as solution. If a person still hasn't seen it coming that we are heading to market crash and out fiat money is losing value yes. That should fear them more than having fear in BTC when after all these years of constantly misrepresenting it to the public, it still has more than $20k of value.

If he thinks BTC is still a get rich quick, he should take advantage of it because its recurring every 4 years.
826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 09, 2023, 03:37:45 PM

A character like that with all his nasty promotions, idk Strickland will not be welcomed with smileys by Aussies. He must have thought because he beat Abus by surprise he got merits that he'll get away doing just about anything. If Conor didn't escape that fate, he sure wouldn't as well.

The co-main event is indeed quite not interesting. But it would be fun to see Tai win again, I still would love to see beers flowing from a shoe.
827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Friendly wagers in Bitcointalk on: September 09, 2023, 03:22:13 PM

There is a distrust among internet users. No trust even when they see each other's faces on facebook. There will be the need of escrow for anything like this. Its just needed as not everyone keep their word.

Friendly wagers are great only if they wager something less valuable like memecoins like SHIB, 100K SHIB is nothing worth of but that might just work for friendly wagers and no friendship will turn south and no one gets red trust.
828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A History of Sports Betting on: September 08, 2023, 05:34:11 PM

I have some doubts about that sports betting started 1990s. Even in the late 1990s the internet wasn't very adopted. I think websites during that time static pages written in html. The first website I visited 1997 was the garment brand with nothing on its page but but white background with colored shirts.

Crime organizations are indeed engaging in sports. Boxing was riddle with Italian and Irish mobs as what I've seen on documentaries.
829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: September 08, 2023, 04:09:55 PM

^ It's possible. Boxing gloves are heavy, they would have to agree on which boxing gloves to wear and if Fury suggests the heaviest boxing glove, there goes the chance of Ngannou to the south. The ball is with Fury and the fight result might just decide to be cruel to Ngannou.

Fury is very confident he can beat the shit out of Ngannou and he was just acting it like is the easiest to do in the Tom Hardy interview. He seems not realizing he is out of shape.
830  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: September 07, 2023, 06:21:22 PM
Did not get it bro… What can I do dirty in gambling, that will force me to keep in secret that I gamble? Loosing money? But truth will come out anyway. Cheating - that is a big no.
Some people that are addicted hide their gambling activities because they believe if people notice the amount they spend on gambling, then they will be blamed. Some people might end up spending money that is supposed to be spent on their family members on gambling, which is wrong, so they won’t want their family members to know they are spending that amount of money on gambling.

Also, for some people, gambling is illegal in their religion, and most of them want to gamble, so they will rather gamble and keep it secret so that people won’t see them as bad people, so they decide to keep it a secret.

Some people do spend huge amounts of money on gambling, but they are not always comfortable telling people they have spent that amount of money on gambling, so they will just decide to keep it a secret. Some people do tell their friends that they gamble, but they will never show their friends their gambling account transaction history.
Hiding one's involvement in gambling, no matter the motivation, is inherently dishonest and problematic. You are entirely correct that a lot of people hide their behaviors because they feel ashamed or fear social or familial consequences. Is this explanation sufficient, though? Not at all.

It's clear that there is a bigger problem when people hide their gaming activities and costs. Since I'm a big player who plays it smart, being honest is important to me. People are already in danger if they feel the need to hide. Some people might say that spending one's own money is a choice, which is true! However, isn't ignoring family duties a moral offense?

Additionally, regarding religion: while many religious systems forbid gambling, it would be hypocritical to use religion as a cover for an ongoing covert vice. It's important to note, though, that recognizing the moral implications of one's conduct is just as important as being perceived as a "bad" person.

People can always tell bad things whether you live like a saint. And the badder you can be if they know you gamble. It's one reason to justify the secrecy of the activity.

Some of these people are just waiting for your failures to be exposed so they can say I told you so. But I'm not giving them the chance off that and hiding the activity from the government as well since the government is looking into our expenses.
831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Features on any Banking or Financial apps should be Removed on: September 07, 2023, 04:28:11 PM
It's only the regulators who are trying to protect the people from financial destruction either from investing or gambling. They forget that banks or finance apps also have responsibilities. But it's not surprising anymore that even the biggest institutions like the SEC approved investors in engaging Futures trading but not the spot market.

Crypto wallets also can be connected to betting platforms. I think they figured they could also do it for bank apps. Ye so why not?
832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Layer 2 Projects Speculation on: September 07, 2023, 05:38:56 AM

Aptos and ARB are somehow known since there are articles of them on popular crypto new sites. The rest are on the uphill batlle even in the bull market.

You wouldn't be bagging these tokens yet when the bull run is not very obvious in the coming months. Though BTC halving is almost here, you wouldn't risk jumping into these tokens yet. What you may earn from holding your BTC is probably a lot more than converting it to these tokens.
833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Frank Martin - tentative date 11/16 or 12/9 on: September 07, 2023, 05:30:44 AM
Shakur's belt isn't on the line but this is a title fight for WBC vacant title. Martin seem under rated fighter with more experience than Shakur but had not give more shots for a title fight but this one. The WBC however is not making it easy for him as he is to fight one of the technical fighter.

Shakur had capitalized his wins against the big names he fought.
834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Littleboy's altcoin casino on: September 07, 2023, 05:15:37 AM
Strange name for a casino. Any kid will seem to think they belong in this casino which I would assume the target market?  Damn. Thats a nasty business  Grin

LBC token doesn't have demands on that exchange also. You need to show what that token can do also. But like any other casino with native token, its for staking?
835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: September 07, 2023, 05:06:23 AM
I was in argument with someone. His view is that people who gamble are those that what they have is not sufficient for them and so they try to make more money from gambling. He said if you have sufficient money to take care of your needs that you won't think of gambling. He made reference to some rich people, who don't gamble because they have sufficient money to even gift to charity but that those rich who still gamble are only addicted to it not just because of the money. Therefore, that the percentage of the rich gambling is very small compared to those in middle class and lower class.

So my question is, is the percentage of the rich gambling lower than the middle and lower class?

I used to have a friend who worked as a croupier in a small casino. She recounted many different situations that occur in casinos, but in general, all of them happened to people with money, businessmen and production managers. In general, people who can afford to lose a couple thousand dollars every month. Therefore, I think that those who have money mostly go to the casino in order to get more, to play with luck and experience adrenaline. There are no poor people there, they are all working, trying to ensure their existence, they are not up to adrenaline.

There could be a study of this or just a survey whether the rich gamble to make more or just enjoy adrenaline. To me the rich gambles more with precision to make money not with luck. Their gamble is to secure more money which could lie to investing and a sure way to make money than relying on luck. One way the rich gambles with security in mind is betting on odds like 1.10.

Its the gambler with lesser funds who are more prone to riskier bets in the hopes to hit the biggie.

836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Control Your Emotions and Win More Bets on: September 06, 2023, 07:46:11 PM
Your brain is you. Whatever you do you do it with purpose.  The one that is not calm is the heart which also pumps whenever something is very emotional meaning it's your heart that you need to say "calm down" while what you want your brain to do is to release dopamine and trust your instinct that you will win.

Our instinct knows Sabertooth is one large cat that also kills since we see it on TV. The ones with fangs are the ones that will bite their prey by the neck.
ChatGPT is not taught as a Terminator, we only knew it was something to run away from because it was created by someone who also created the Worldcoin and wants to scan our Iris.
837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fan of casino reviews online? This is a must-read on: September 06, 2023, 05:42:27 PM
So if I don't know about Bitcointalk forum and 1xbit I would have though the online casino is a good one. There is no single bad review about 1xbit on TrustPilot and I was like how the hell this is happening?

If you say that there's not a single negative review on the 1xbit page on TrustPilot then you are wrong. So far there's a composition of 22% of the total 3028 reviews that have been submitted. After all, TrustPilot is an open platform where each user can give a review as they like. So don't blame TrustPilot for what is happening now.

FYI, TrustPilot isn't just silent about what is happening now, they are also trying to filter out the fake reviews that exist.

To answer his question I think YES. Regular users of the internet, the not savvy ones will trust the reviews on Trustpilot because it's almost like a consensus where there are hundreds to thousands of users there rating 1xbit like they experience heaven while in reality, it's not.

Someone from facebook will really be persuaded to just register on 1xbit and just play there. It must be worth for 1xbit to pay reviewers and advertise through Truspilot, it pays. Despite how badly the casino was condemned here, they managed to make money from those users.
838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Behaviours of gamblers you dislike. on: September 06, 2023, 05:04:17 PM
Blaming someone when they lost. Like if you are playing slots in a traditional land base casinos and then by accident you are sitting beside someone who got a bonus unfortunately he didn't get a huge payout. And then they are going to complain that they have bad luck because the one sitting beside them has some bad omen.
Gamblers will put the blame on their breakfast, the weather, the dealer, the casino and every other thing and person but themselves. Gamblers have some annoying superstitious beliefs that explains why they lost. They didn't do their pre-gambling ritual and all of those bs.  Of course this makes them feel way and a reason for them to try again later. We all have that one annoying gambling habit. Well these annoying habits reduces with the years of experience in gambling and we start to see things for what they really are logically and not with our emotions.

Doesn't sound like a mature person. Blaming someone who sits beside him sounds like a high school bully. Not really sure if we could still see someone like that in the casino but a lot of men will gladly teach that guy a lesson.

There are annoying gamblers who are very slow when it's their turn because he has to talk to their buddies behind them every time they decide on blackjack or poker. Its a lot annoying when he wins every time he talks to his buddy.  Grin
839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 06, 2023, 04:23:02 PM
Idk. Can't expect Strickland can actually perform against Adesanya. He is gonna be KOed.
The prev conference wasn't so much fun, It would have been funnier if he told it to the press when Izzy was the Chinese champ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMdWyPGTDVk
He may beat Izzy up in trash talk but in the octagon, it's gonna be the other way around.

But come the day and Izzy will be showboating, it will be his defeat. And Sean adding salt as the thrash talk will be a lot worse after that.

At least Izzy did not fight Strickland before Cheesy At least something new in middleweight. Strickland can easily gain some weight and become a heavy hitter. Some random punch and Izzy's chin isnt made of stone (Pereira tested that). On the paper, Izzy is better than Strickland, but paper does not fight in octagon. People do. Who knows what could happen during the fight. Lucky cut, illegal hit. We have seen this year how champions fall from complete underdogs.

Adesanya still is one of the best strikers and can defend himself from takedowns. It's not gonna be hard for Izzy to win this fight imo.  Of course, I wouldn't say Izzy can win 100%. By any chance, he can be KOed as well if Strickland can hit a clean shot.

In the sparring room, Strickland doesn't talk that much actually. He doesn't sound like he wanna keep that mouth talking all the time, unlike Connor who does it all the time and can at least say something clever. He only does those trash talk when the camera rolls on him.

840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fan of casino reviews online? This is a must-read on: September 06, 2023, 04:04:54 PM

1xbit probably paid the Trustpilot to put them on top. I couldn't be sure but there is no way that casino is going up the rank without doing some manipulation because 1xbit is very well known to be a scam in the biggest crypto community.

But every review site today I think is also paid. Some of them don't even list the popular casinos yet the unknown are featured on top all the time. Apart from that, the administrator of the casino accepts banner advertisements where an unknown scam casino can buy the ad space. I remember 1xbit links and banners are on so many crypto sites that I visited.
