841  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: HASHRA - LUNAR LANDER & LAUNCHER - ASIC SCRYPT MINERS 14MH+ - 78MH+ on: June 11, 2014, 03:51:43 PM
Sorry, my fault, my PSU has 6+2 pin cables, and I used all 8 of them.
Now I use 2 cables with only 6 pin and the ASIC it is started.
Thank you very much for your help !

you know - I hate to read instructions myself: LOL - but the instructions that come with the unit specificically tell you not to plug in all 8 pins...

glad you got it sorted out.

Something definitly happening with ZED, the last ann is more than a week old so only people knowing what will happen soon (i hope) are buying.
And sellers seems to have big balls, so it's not easy to buy cheap without pushing the price when nobody's selling.

And by looking at the order book, ZED could go way higher than 5K. around 10k is not so far
Glad i invested in this undead coin, time to buy more for me Smiley

I though it was the 'dead' undead coin.

ny the way - mintpal prices are much higher they on cryptsy

what's causing this pump? do you think is going to rise more?

must be some people "in the know" if you know what I mean.

Before a big breakout some whale tends to buy up while nobody notices.  Maybe this is the case.  I'm definitely buying and holding.

good idea the was decent size buy order at about 1600 but that got filled in a heartbeat. I'm looking for at least 2000 today

it all boils down to the nerve of sellers..

how about me naming it to the walking dead coin

I used the charger for my smartphone.
Right now when I use the HASHRA CONTROLA, I receive this message:
cgminer: Started cgminer 3.1.1
cgminer: All devices disabled, cannot mine!

What is wrong ?

that's not uncommon - sometimes it takes a few minutes for things to start synching...

846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ZedCoin [ ZED ] - Now Trading! on: June 11, 2014, 11:05:33 AM
9 blocks now - come on...

when I arrived the pool had only found 1 block in the prior 24 hours...

let's go...

the more the merrier!   $$$

5 blocks now..

let's go - point your miners to : http://zed.minecryptocoins.org/

I've got my big miners running over at http://zed.minecryptocoins.org/ and we need more miners.....

found two blocks in the last 10 minutes - join me over there....

let's make some beer money!

we've got 1/3 of the network hash now and need more miners to find more blocks.

Hello !

My ASIC arrived today but I have the same problem with the power cable for the Pi, like jjj0923 described.
Unfortunately I don't have any PI to spare, what shall I do ?

do you have any android phones like a samsung etc.

the power plug is the same.

additonally - there's a compiled windows version of the software on their website you can download and run cgminer for hashra from your pc.

At clock speed 291, LL hashes about 12.8mh/s, 444 watts, still 6% HW errors.

Also, < 1% rejects on clevermining.

I switched from clevermining to http://coinking.io/?r=11339 I had over 2% rejects on clevermining and now I am down to 0.95 on
coinking.io - they also do poolmining and the poolside hashrate seems to improve maybe as a result of the lower reject rate? Anyhow I am happy with it and they have a referral program which compensates for the 1 percent pool fee they charge. Before I get flamed for shamelessly promoting this pool please try it our yourself and let all know if it works. I am not affiliated with them in anyway and yes if you use the link above I think I would get the referal bonus. Let me know what you guys think!

what kind of return are you getting in terms or btc/mh/day from clevermining?

Is there any way to turn the fan down on these? Can you please work on the decibel levels on the next version. It kinda sounds like a wind tunnel. I think maybe its the design of the heatsinc. The air passing over the fins creates some kind of resonance. I have been doing my mining at a friends house because he has free electricity. I brought this asic over and hooked it up and he said get that thing out of here. I need to find a way to dampen the noise, so I can get some free electricity.

I'm thinking to switch the fan to a much quieter but still high flow fan I have at home but no idea of the windflow of the stock fan. I wonder if you're right about the fins though, that would be a real pain as there's no way to get around that obviously.
Not sure about risking $2,000 on switching the fan tho...

I was thinking maybe putting one of these on each end. http://www.iaqsource.com/product.php?p=suncourt_dm106&product=111138&CA_6C15C=405309807. Or maybe rigging up my own with some acoustic egg crate foam.

that's a great idea! - the diameter matches the size of the fan also - I just measured my unit.

those dampeners are a little expensive. I'm thinking about making my own with some of this foam http://www.foambymail.com/EC1-5-F-CH/1-5-eggcrate-foam.html. This dampening technology should be implemented into mining machines, especially machines that are meant to be used by basic users. The big farmers get to go home and sleep away from these machines.

mine are in my basement where it's 65 to 75 degrees year round so I don't hear a thing...

you could build a 3 sides sound proof box - use thin balsa or 1/4 plywood and put some pillow foam on all three interior sides where the rear of the unit begins and have it extend about 8 to 12 inches behind the unit that will deaden the sound of the fan. as long as you don't interrupt the air intake or exhaust fan I think you'd probably be in good shape.

or open the unit up - gets some specs on the fan itself and see if you can find a less noisy fan.

Ok, I'll take the bait. Have you taped out and sent the details for manufacturing ?
tape out will be in 4-6 weeks. and get wafer more 4-6 weeks.
we can ship out miner 1-2 weeks after chipset arrived.

How are you getting 28nm chips in 4-6 weeks after tape out? Who is the fab that is making the chips? TSMC?

coming over to the Dark Side.. Luke?

Website still alive even:

WARNING, NSFW: website with LOTS of taxis.

This reminds me of when "SexCoin" was supposed to change the porn industry because it had... Sex in the name.

how exactly was that supposed to work?  LOL

I'm really tempted to have someone develop AFC for me...

yup - AFC = Another Fucking Coin Smiley

it'll have like a 90% premine : cause we need a lot of money to promote it and it''ll be so fricking worthless I'll need all 90% for the stabilization fund also know as my weekend drinking fund...

LOL

if it's making heat then it's mining....

what's in the syslog file?

can you tail it and post the results or the log file on the screen?

Here is a little more on the error (below).  Physically, it seems that once I get this error, the unit shuts down.  so the fans shut off, the PSU powers off, and I have to cycle everything to get it back up and running.

Jun 10 21:11:00 cgminer: Started cgminer 3.1.1

Jun 10 21:11:01 cgminer: Icarus Detect: Test failed at /dev/ttyUSB0: get 00000000, should: 00038d26

Jun 10 21:11:01 cgminer: All devices disabled, cannot mine!

Jun 10 21:11:01 kernel: [   80.162232] usb 1-1.2: USB disconnect, device number 4

Jun 10 21:11:01 kernel: [   80.162905] cp210x ttyUSB0: cp210x converter now disconnected from ttyUSB0

Jun 10 21:11:01 kernel: [   80.162985] cp210x 1-1.2:1.0: device disconnected

I assume you've tried both usb ports on the pi?

once it's running and you get the error message - disconnect the usb cable and reconnect it - see if the pi detects it?

I finally got my y Lunar Lander today and it isn't working. I tried with a laptop (downloaded the software), and with the RaspPi that is included (which I had to power with another cable because it wouldn't join the internet - thanks to the thread for heads up on that); and on both *AS SOON* as CGminer starts, the unit shuts down. I get this error in the log on the Pi:

Icarus Detect: Test failed at /dev/ttyUSB0: get 00000000, should: 00038d26

Not feeling great about this.

My PSU is rated platinum and at 1300W - pretty sure that's not the problem. I have each plug isolated, so I don't think that is the problem.  Since the error is USB related, I tried swapping out the USB cable - no dice.

I am open to suggestions.

well - don't use their power cable to power the pi - myself and other have had problems. In addition the ethernet cable they supplied did not work. (at least for me and I got two units). In addition make sure you're not plugging in the additional 2 wire plug from the pcie cable into the back of the unit.

send a message to support@hashra.com - their tech guy is very responsive.

if you can sssh - tail the /var/log/syslog file (it's also displayed on the diagnostic area of the screen)
