Looks like the stats server is down. Congrats to the lucky block finder

A staled block. Wow really. After 4+ days. I'm really trying to stick with Bitminter. But a 4 day staled block, that's bad. I'd rather throw the measly 1.2T back on the other pool and get some paid blocks from it.
It's just double bad luck. We had 4 blocks in 1 day just before this stale block ;-)

Hi, I ordered last week and paid for shipping via UPS. Apparently, they want more money from me now before they deliver it. Can someone tell me what the fee UPS want now is for?
Here is the message I got from their site:
The driver was unable to collect funds on the first delivery attempt. A second attempt will be made.
Custom and taxes fees

lol not a good time to start a pool as a 'Newbie' and no trust.
if that is all that is relevant to people then they need mental help mate, any body can make conversation and multiple posts in order to gain "status" lol i'm not looking for status nor is my account recent, and as stated ive had my alt pools up for a good year now and not a single complaint, pretty sure my name would be mud round here if i was a scammer, i just dont normally do forums (avoid them like the plague being honest) but ive made my btc pool public and this was the first place i thought of to invite some users, smaller pools do tend to pay a better reward just a lot less frequent. maybe id be wise sticking to just facebook in future, thanks for the insight though mate Please don't approach the problem in the wrong way. All they are asking is some solid and tangible security proof that they won't get scam. I think it's pretty much fair on their part considering how long they may need to mine at your pool to get paid someday (Might be months). The proposal escrow of the 25 BTC is an example of a possible solution. smaller pools do tend to pay a better reward just a lot less frequent
That's quite a statement there... Previous luck doesn't mean future luck. If in the past this happened, there is no way you can predict such a thing in future. maybe id be wise sticking to just facebook in future
People are not stupid, they just learned from previous experience that words don't make you an honest pool owner. (See the NEXIOUS thread) Good luck with your pool

So, like a lot of you using used equipment to start your own opps, I bought an S5 off ebay. It connects to the router and to the pool, except it isn't mining. Upon closer examination, the ASIC Status section (oooo oooo, XXXX XXXX or ---- ----) doesn't show me any information about the ASIC. What's going on here? I already tried a hard reboot and securing all wire connections. Also, I'm using a Corsair 750M PSU. Thank you, mining community! http://imgur.com/FQ8rXmFLook likes your daughter board is faulty. Make sure all the cable are correctly connected but you don't see both blade. I had a broken daughter board and I had the same behavior ... not sure it is your case tho. Have a look at the U5 chip (there is another one under the Beagle bone) Make sure they are not burned or see any hole in it. I had to replace mine to fix it.

wouldn't surprise me a bit if they'll drop the price to $500 in 2 mo considering the 16nm avalanche, which would basically mean (if no BTC price increase above $450) the more you bought, the worse it will be for you. S7 price trajectory resembles SP20 and S1 more than S3/S5.
Yeah, I hate myself now with those Batch 1 price in BTC The Batch 1 set had a low BTC price, and high fiat price to contend with. The fiat price has declined, which I expect is to encourage demand, and the BTC price has roughly doubled (for reasons unknown to me). I think there was "huge" pent up demand for the S7, and Bitmain priced it accordingly (in fiat). The changes in BTC price I think (and hope) are outside of Btimain's control. Yeah, that was direct complains to me, not Bitmain But how I could see the price double ?

Do not buy.
High custom tax (in europe).
Very short warranty (3 months).
Very poor customer care.
Miners may break after a few months.
Couldn't agree more. They actually pump the invoice more so you pay even higher custom taxes They don't care about customers at all, all they care is they make profits The build quality of the miners is awfull, it's a machine worth 100-200$ not 1500 $ This a thread about the S5 not the S7.

DO NOT BUY from Antminer.
I ordered two miners and got them. Then the problems. First I had to pay a very high custom tax. Then, one of the two broke after 3-4 months. Antminer will not fix or substitute it because the warranty was just JUST 3 months, which is UNLAWFUL in most countries, but in Italy for sure where they sold the miner. I think I am going to sue them. In any case, unless you have free electricity, you're going to lose money with their miners.
Best regards, ilpirata79
Mining is not For Dummies. You're a good example for this. Please, justify your assertion. If you're not able to do so, you have just qualified yourself. In any case, I won't be bothering to furtherly answering your comments, as you clearly don't deserve my attention. Your point is extremist, I have many Bitmain hardware and they are pretty much very solid machine. I own S1, S3, S4 and S7. I bought a broken S5 for the fun of it. You may have a bad experience with the S5 has many others but still ... your assessment is wrong The S5 might be the worst product of Bitmain but it doesn't make them a bad company. As for the high custom ... this is your responsibility to check that before you buy. If you have any complains about it, it's not Bitmain's fault. EDIT: Maybe a simple ROi calculation would have provide you with the answers you needed before you buy the miners

I tried to plug the daughter board on my second non-working board ... looks like a short since the PSU won't start and the cable become hot.
Anyone has debugged such issue ? Where to look for the short ?
Thanks
