861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain agents on: November 05, 2021, 10:19:25 AM
~ If blockchain is charging for every transaction there should also be a unit where someone can  make complaints about an error transaction.
Such things happen only with credit cards and other transactions involving centralized payment system. Not on a decentralized blockchain.

~ What happens if I mistakenly make transfer to a wrong bitcoin address? So I believe if blockchain have customers agent such mistake can be rectify immediately the complain is made known to them.
You are thinking blockchain like a company that will have customers and third party agents. It's not.

Even a bank who offers crypto custodial services will probably not be responsible for any refund when their customers sent to a different address. That's because they have no control over the Bitcoin blockchain.

Someone won $20 from FR and was too excited to share Grin

Congrats if that was really his/her account. The best I had so far was 9886 - 9985 but I wasn't that active on the free rolls until recently. I redeemed the five WOF bonus for every roll and I had to make sure I get the best out of it. I managed to get back the 3K+ RP somehow, 1 Golden Ticket, and hundreds of satoshis/lottery tickets Grin

~ Sometimes it feels great sharing your gains on social media, especially if you haven't had this much money in the past.
Yeah that's exactly what's happening to some people in my circle right now. They've been around since 2017 but it seems they're too proud on their recent gains from a dog themed meme token. I'm just not sure if it was their portfolio or they just grabbed it from somewhere.
865  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Treasury bonds and bitcoin on: November 04, 2021, 08:06:24 AM
Others have already said that it's unlikely for the TB investors to move to speculative market but it probably depends on who we are asking. I can only guess there is a change in mindset for some of them. Maybe they found out how BTC has been the best performing asset even during the height of the pandemic. Maybe an effect of more institutions getting into crypto and SEC approving futures ETF.

Hey guys, is the free WOF spins for premium members gone? I usually find it on the home page but it's not there anymore. I haven't logged in for days and the last time I received was October 30 (from transaction history).

edit: Seen it already. It popped up together with five free spins I got from redeeming WOF Bonus. I must have accidentally closed it, my bad.
867  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin ETF sa Pilipinas, Possible kaya? on: November 03, 2021, 08:37:20 AM
Apart from UnionBank and its arms, wala pa masyado institutional adoption ang crypto sa Pinas.

869  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Verified Information - Missed Opportunities on: November 02, 2021, 08:10:02 AM
I've seen this tweet many times already and I used to laugh at it. We know now that he made a huge mistake selling all his BTC but it's hard to judge when we weren't there when Mt. Gox happened and when BTC was treated like a loose change. What could we have done differently?

I'm pretty sure there were more stories like this but the worst case of missed opportunity is probably throwing the hard drive with 7,500 BTC in the trash.
870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Jonas Sultan vs Carlos Caraballo - October 30, 2021 on: November 02, 2021, 07:53:14 AM
Apart from the 10-9 on one of the judge's score card on a knockdown, I'm not going to argue with the rest of the rounds. I think we can all agree that Caraballo is the more technical and efficient fighter throughout the match. He's unlucky that Sultan had a very tough chin despite landing clean and powerful shots of his own. I think a rematch is in order.

I'm not sure if a rematch will be a wise call for the camp of Caraballo. They just recently inked contract with Top Rank and hoping that this will be his first win and potentially he is promised of a good money in the future. However, Sultan derailed all their plans, lol, and they don't want to damage Caraballo early. So probably just another cherry pick fight for Caraballo to bring his confidence back and then knock out his opponents again just to get track.
Yeah that's a good point if you're seeing it from Top Rank's point of view. If they go that path, it's possible that Sultan will also lose to someone else. Caraballo can take the belt back from the new champ Grin I bet he wants an immediate rematch if he's the one calling the shots to redeem himself. Although it's his first, it wasn't a devastating loss that would lower his confidence in his own boxing skills.
871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do bookmakers make mistakes in setting odds? on: November 02, 2021, 07:09:42 AM
I'm not surprised that the odds were close but I didn't expect the current champ to be the underdog. She's younger with slight advantage on height and reach.

~ Should the bookmakers consider Rose Namajunas' KOs of those high profiles she busts before setting the odds,
They probably did already. It looks like they put more weight on Zhang's superior striking and TD defense.

Anyway, we understand they factor all usable stats but don't really know their exact formula in setting these odds.
872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 02, 2021, 06:11:51 AM
~

It seems like the Bulls have found a gem with the team rebuilding.
You can't really say a gem to veterans Grin They might be underrated but they had their share of the spotlight.

I'm guessing their performances and results is more down to the freedom given to them to just play basketball. No high expectations from the management and from the fans. It's like they are enjoying themselves on the court. I see a similar thing happening with the Miami Heat.
873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THORChain Rune is explosive ! on: November 02, 2021, 05:53:07 AM
^ One doesn't really have to hold Rune to understand what you're talking about. There are many cryptocurrencies that pumped in a short amount of time (explosive as you call it) and I've experienced some of them. Like buying a token at under $1 them pumping to over $10 or buying under $5 pumping to over $40. I'm pretty sure there are more altcoins that did better but the percentage doesn't really matter. I'm speaking in general of what's happening with coins/tokens in a bullish market.
874  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Cardano - Union Bank Staking Pool on: November 02, 2021, 05:08:55 AM

Regulated institution UBX now running a public stake pool on Cardano

In addition to these partnerships, Cardano took strides to increase on-chain DeFi activity through a strategic collaboration with UBX. UBX, the fintech venture studio and fund spun out of UnionBank, has launched its own public stake pool featuring Cardano. UBX stakers are now able to earn rewards on their ada for helping to secure and operate the Cardano blockchain.

John Januszczak, President and CEO of UBX said, “To further excel and maximize the potential of blockchain, we’re looking at emerging protocols like Cardano to connect traditional financial markets to the world’s most innovative financial operating system.”

It's only a matter of marketing at time siguro bago dumami delegators nila.

875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THORChain Rune is explosive ! on: November 01, 2021, 03:11:23 PM
Finding reasons for coin/token price jumps in a bull market is kind of a waste of time. For now, nobody cares too much about utilities because anything can move up at anytime with enough hype from influencers and some well-known figures in the traditional financial market. Some TA guys would pick up an altcoin then check if it bottomed out, starts buying them, and share to his subscribers later on.

Rune is probably better than all meme tokens that pumped recently but it's still not exempted from what I said above.
876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shocked to discover Trezor T doesn't support my ALT Coins !! on: November 01, 2021, 03:02:10 PM
Have not yet used Metamask but it seems everybody is using it these days. So I guess I would have to use the Metamask Wallet rather than the Trezor Wallet to access all those ERC20/BEP20 tokens ? But then aren't you subject to the dreaded Ethereum gas fees ? What confusion ! I'm leaving my tokens in the centralized exchange for now.
You'd be fine moving bep20 and other supported networks to Metamask except Ethereum. You are better off leaving erc-20 tokens on centralized exchanges if you're more worried about the gas fees fees than having control over your crypto assets.

P.S. The fact that Trezor does not support most of my tokens shows how early we are in the crypto game, so I guess that is a positive !
Yeah I'm thinking they couldn't keep up with the fast pace of the crypto market. They also have to be careful in integrating these new coins into their wallet for security purposes.
877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoinMarketCap Rankings on: November 01, 2021, 11:39:32 AM
It's probably their way of protecting their users from deceptive projects inflating their market cap. As posted above, they need to complete some steps before they are ranked properly. It looks unfair to others who doesn't want to be subjected to such scrutiny but they cannot do anything else because CMC is centralized.

Maybe switch to Coingecko.
878  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin futures on: November 01, 2021, 10:51:40 AM
I'm new to this forum, and I joined because it looks like it is the leading forum on the internet for discussing investing in bitcoins. A friend of mine who trades commodities options (mostly currencies) said the best investment I could make in bitcoins right now would be in options or futures.
You should probably just ask suggestions your friend about third party brokers because, AFAIK, most members in this forum are retail trades and DIY investors. I can only assume that none of us ever heard of that website until you asked here.

Logged in after a few months of not checking my account. Homepage is much better than before. I tried each game and I'm satisfied with the speed. If I can still make one more request, could you put an option to disable animation on Crash? I mean no lines, just the number (like what I see on Target).
