belief and opportunity and will

if there are 1million kids that want to be an astronaut when they are older. but there can only ever be 5 astranaughts ever couple years.. then not all kids will get to be astronauts no matter how much they believe it..

however if you believe you will be one of those 5. then its not just that 5/1m opportunity. it also the belief and opportunity  and will to learn math and science to narrow the odds to give you a better chance
its then training(opportunity) and will to keep pursuing it

you cant just wake up and belief you will win the world cup at soccer. you have to believe you can join a local footballclub and take that opportunity. then believe and take the opportunity to score goals. then believe and take the opportunity to get noticed by higher league scouts.
then believe and take the opportunity to join the higher leagues. and be willing to continue this all the way up the ranks

belief is the foundation. but it also requires willing and opportunity.
belief alone is just the dream...... opportunity and willing is the reality that makes the dream come true
8622  Other / Off-topic / Re: Oil/fat from one of the most disliked meats on: April 29, 2021, 06:45:35 AM
I have told is when you're in fasting or after your fast, you shouldn't eat something like that. You should go with vegetables and soup instead.

But there really is oil when you extracted it from the pork. CMIIW, it's coming from its belly and you can use that to fry as an alternative to the normal oil we use.

when fasting. your body is not ingesting/consuming glucose(sugars) so it burning off your bodies fat for energy.

if you are a thin person. after fasting you need to replenish your fats, because if you get too thin your body at the next fasting will start burning protein(muscles) into energy

if you are obese. then having sugary stuff but in moderation spread out over the day means your body just uses what you consume and doesnt refill your body fats. meaning you can lose weight

just dont go to excess in both cases. meaning if you skip 2 meals dont then binge eat 5 meals after fasting
8623  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the most appropriate thing to say when asked what business you do on the internet? on: April 29, 2021, 06:37:53 AM
the problem with the OP's question is
'meet someone you like to marry'

this assumes the OP is one of them crazy people that need to fill in a whole years worth of getting to know someone on the first 1hour first date

the OP does not assume that first introductions do not have to be fully detailed. the first date should only be the basics and not assuming marriage at the end of the date

so heres some advice
dont lie. but dont get too detailed. waffling nerdisms or mentioning too much will bore or scare the person away. especially if you assume marriage will come of it.

take it slow.
dont think they are interested in bitcoin and want all the details upfront. take your time gently let them get to know you over multiple dates. over multiple months.

if you take
human fat(store/weight gain)....       or human glucose(sugar/energy)
C55h104O6                                       C6H12O6

and then take
pork lard
C21H42O5

vegetable fat
C18H32O2

anyone do the math

to turn pork fat into human utilised fat/glucose
requires a 5th of a breath to make ~3 molecules of human carbohydrate from 1 molecule of lard

to turn veg fat into human utilised fat/glucose
requires 3 breaths to make ~8-9 molecules of human carbohydrate

but here is the thing. to attain the oxygen requirement for fat/sugar the body recognises/utilises
pork fat easily breaks down closer to be glucose.. where as veg fat prefers to be nearer to human fat

this means. you can burn off pork fat as energy easier where as veg fat becomes stored human fat

yep a morning bacon butty with lard will give you more morning energy without weight gain. compared to something with veg fat

science and math is great
8626  Economy / Economics / Re: Using Blockchain to run economies on: April 28, 2021, 02:59:48 PM
blockchains best case usage. is where each transaction has a multiple use purpose.

imagine it like you go to a car dealership and you order a new car. the colour and seat type. and you pay.
that transaction is on the blockchain.

the car factory sees the blockchain that dealership requested Xcar. and also the blockchain becomes the vehicle registration and reference for maintenance and warranties and also tracking for the 'autopilot' to set the destination delivery from factory to dealership

if its just used for one use cola bottle purposes. then the blockchain would need to prune the data after the natural expiry date of the bottle
EG batch 127e34543 expiry june 24th 2022...
that block just gets deleted on june 25th 2022
8627  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla still an unprofitable automaker on: April 27, 2021, 06:40:05 PM
when car manufacturers are in the expansion phase they are never profitable
every penny goes into making newer bigger facilities. if they just stored the money. declared it as profit and paid tax on it. they are wasting it

no expanding business makes profit. its how they expand.
paper losses dont equal property losses

heck even trump earned hundreds of millions and only declared a couple thousand in profit (less than a minimum wage waitress would declare)

even bezos under declares his true financial state to pretend he is not making profit

vitamin D is not a cure
people living in places with better sunlight than US/UK still get sick

yes a vitamin D deficiency means it can make your immune system deficient. but its not the only thing
the amount of people with difficient immune systems vs those deficient immune due to vitD is small
people without vitd deficiency dont need vitD
people that dont need vit D can stil get covid..

thats reality. thats fact. thats logic.

if vitD was a cure they would have used it last february
why would they have used it last february you ask...

well because all infections need the use of a immune system to fight it.
all throughout history
decades of infections and stuff and its found even with pople without vitd deficiency still get sick
its not new. its standard logic

so if the vitD deficiency was the only cause of illness they would have dealt with it long ago
every infectious ailment would be iradicated.
and no one having supplements would ever of got sick
but thats not reality.

but here is the thing those with healthy immune. those taking daily supplements those with good sun exposure STILL GET SICK
thats reality

if you are immune deficient purely due to vid D deficiency then yes boost your vitD but dont think it is your immortal pill/cure

loads of people have gaming idea.. but if you produced a white paper and ICO and wanting support for ICO..
the screw that. its a non-starter project

real people with real idea's start with the idea. they expand the idea. like write the script of the game. explain the theme/motives/rewards/ strategy/category of the game. even explain some character stuff

if all you have done was the ICO stuff. then you are not a person set to be a gaming project manager. you simply looking to hve a crap 5 minute idea and hope 100's of people do the actual work while you keep the money.

.. here is the thing 12 years ago satoshi did not go on a fundraising project asking 100's of people to fund him to then develop something. he first released the actual project. explained its function and strategy and utility. explained the rewards.
in the end it self funded itself.

..
anyone going ICO first should be ignored and treated as bad investment

"Bill Gates says no to sharing vaccine formulas with global poor to end pandemic"

Health advocates blast Microsoft billionaire for saying patent protections on life-saving vaccines must remain

https://www.salon.com/2021/04/26/bill-gates-says-no-to-sharing-vaccine-formulas-with-global-poor-to-end-pandemic_partner/

wrong
BG said dont open source the PATENT. because some shady factories will make knock-off's that are not monitored/tested/quality assured.

BG said get the regulated/monitored vaccine labs to share the vaccine with the world. but dont allow any idiot with a test tube and a spoon to be allowed to make and sell it

8631  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Did you take the vaccine? tell us what happend? on: April 26, 2021, 07:18:13 PM
[
Data to support this assertion? AFAIK preliminary studies do show reduced transmission (I've linked to this previously).

Even the pharma companies only claim %0-80% effectiveness with their vaccines, and you need multiple jabs with some of them. Natural immunity if it is allowed to develop and be used by the body, offers 100% effectiveness. This means that vaccines will allow the virus to multiply far more readily than with a healthy non-vaccinated person. I have yet to see a basic comparison between the effectiveness of vaccination and non-vaccination without introducing other factors and manipulation.

Always remember that the vaccine needs a working immune system to do its job, and it bypasses the primary protection offered by the immune system.

people getting covid in march 2020 were getting sick 3-6-9months later.. so it seems its not 100% effective to catch a virus that has a 3% kill rate.. nor is it safer to prefer the virus over the vaccine

the more the virus is allowed to spread the more mutations and thus more problems it can cause

id rather have a vaccine in my arm that may irritate my arm muscle for a few days than have the virus that will irritate my lungs and organs for longer.
you can still breath with an arm ache after all
8632  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Did you take the vaccine? tell us what happend? on: April 26, 2021, 07:15:43 PM
even using your data

At least 135,791,031 people have received at least one dose
Open VAERS 2602 DEATHS

maths is great under 0.002%

badecker seems to think that 3% death from covid is acceptable loss
badecker seems to think that 0.2% death from other flus is acceptable loss

but a vaccine that has a 0.002% rate is some how a thing badecker fears
even if that vaccine can turn a 3% down to a 0.15%.. and then add in the incidental loss of the vaccine
=0.152%

so a vaccine changing 3% to 0.152% seems to be a good thing even with incidental loss due to the vaccine side effects

so what is badeckers problem with a 0.002-0.152 death rate.. if he thinks a 3% death rate is ok

my view is badecker just fears needles or anyone smarter then him.. and is just looking for any excuse
to remain ignorant
8633  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin wasn’t created to make you rich. It was created to Enslave U & Track U on: April 26, 2021, 02:43:35 PM
bitcoin does not ask for your name/location/social security
exchanges are not bitcoin.. they are fiat

its the FIAT that being tracked
yes fiat businesses that also handle bitcoin still have to obide by the fiat laws because they handle fiat.
handling 50% bitcoin does not mean they can avoid fiat rules

so recognise that fiat businesses will always follow fiat rules and actually recognise this fact..

then you can separetly recognise that there are bitcoin-bitcoin only stuff that doesnt need to follow fiat rules..
8634  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bullish or Bearish? on: April 26, 2021, 02:39:56 PM
anyone can take a snippit of 1 day or 1 week and scream bear..
but sorry.. zoom out.
a true bear is not a day-week. its a 3month-12month thing

these daily/weekly dips are just corrections
dont think bull and bear when zooming in on 1day-1week. call it calve-cub market
8635  Economy / Speculation / Re: New Bitcoin support! Fall or rise? on: April 26, 2021, 10:47:13 AM
well according to any measure someone purposefully chooses. they too can find a moving average that has no pattern before it

its funny how people selectively choose certain moving averages to set an agenda.
one time its m30-m60-m180 to say 'its following a trend.' then all a sudden a m50 doesnt follow a trend

well the $62k is not a norm. not a supported price.. its a near ATH unsupported bubbled spike. anything below that is just a correction

you cannot use a silly M50 stat that is post spike to predict the correction because everything after the spike is pure speculative hyped up prices.

you need to find the real supports before the spike to find where the real price will land at its new bottom

its like throwing a ball up into the air and back down at your head 10 times.. but you want to only include any statistical data AFTER the 10th throw. and pretend the other 9 throws never happened. where all your judgement falls on just the stats after the 10th throw while its in midair
'this throw is fell on my head. its unprecedented'.. sorry dude you have 9 other bruises from previous throws

maybe look at the motion as the ball went into the air. look at previous rises. then maybe you can predict where it will land and dodge the hit

..
in summary. using POST spike data to think about what prices were PRE spike.. but without even looking at pre spike.. is meaningless

M50.. pfft.. makes me laugh
8636  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The people of banaladesh are suffering from climate change on: April 25, 2021, 12:16:19 PM
cnut is correct. living on flood level land is a problem that will become apparent sooner or later

yes it can provide good fertile land a couple seasons after a flood. and the hope is floods only occure once every 20-100 years so people end up settling on the land.

but also there are many other factors at play.
1. land erosion
yep its not so much "sea rise" but land fall.
depleting underground aquifers leaves a huge hole underground that also causes land subsidence

2. damming up rivers.
yep by conserving water into dammed reservoirs and man made rivers and diverting natural flow..  instead of letting it flow naturally down irrigation streams. means that it has less land to spread and drain into(fill aquifers) or evaporate from(cause regular rainspells). meaning less random spotty rain and instead mass rain in certain times.(drought then monsoon).. whilst depleting underground aquifers before people even get to deplete it further by pumping out whats left
the lack of water then surge of water is caused by messing with the river/stream system

3. upstream downstream
if you reduce the water flow upstream. it affects those downstream

in many countries including bangladesh. they think if they can plug up a river with a dam. or divert its path into man made channels. that can then allow people to live on flood land.

people living on the flood land. think that by living there the land must have always been safe from floods because no housing developer would dare make houses on risky land..
well no. people end up living on flood land and then get surprised when they get flooded.

climate change in bangladesh is not carbon problem.. but water diversion problem and then selling off the floodland for cheap housing.

no 'carbon offset' will solve there climate problem.. but sorting out their river and land use issues will
8637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's talk about bitcoin's image on: April 25, 2021, 11:41:31 AM
the barry silbert crowd(blockstream/greyscale) want to paint their non-blockchain different decimal tokens as if they are the same as bitcoin.
they have not just a toe dipped in the water but a whole torso involved in bitcoin. everything from exchanges(coinbase). media(coindesk) and even the bitcoin development(blockstream)

they are tarnishing bitcoin by stfling the transaction count onchain. limiting its utility with silly cludgy fee math. and then advertising their altcoins/alt-nets as being just like bitcoin or better.
8638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2021: Can Bitcoin be Hacked? What tools are Required and Expertise?? on: April 25, 2021, 11:30:48 AM
OP pretends bitcoin can be hacked....in a couple years(facepalm)

satoshiN's coins still intact even after 12 years, even with public keys visible...
take the one where satoshi moved funds to hal. its now accumulated lots of more coins .. but no one has hacked it

so to me bitcoin is not hackable.because those coins have not moved

..
most hackers are not trying to break the blockchain. not trying to reverse engineer public keys.. they instead are hacking users. hacking their computer. hacking their wallet

the true vulnerability is in user-fault hacking. where a user accidently downloads a trojan horse and finds his wallet has been emptied
8639  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Could It consulting services help for making Bitcoin mining software? on: April 25, 2021, 11:12:04 AM
seems a newbie is just copy/pasting an outdated article from pre2013

bitcoin mining is not done by PC's any more.
its firmware handled inside ASIC hardware

no point developing pc software for bitcoin mining.

please catch up because you are 8 years too late
your IT service must be fake or its an intro into a scam.. because your IT consulting business has not learned the basics

goodbye
8640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Transaction Fee on: April 25, 2021, 10:30:45 AM
There’s simply an extreme lack of education about Bitcoin, and the blockchain and how they work. If the newbies knew how they work, just in the introductory level, I believe they would understand why Bitcoin is the way it is, or why the Core developers chose the design-decisions the way the did. It’s not simply “let’s make Bitcoin like BNB”.

we know you skilled a few lessons

ASICS do not touch transactions. dont calculate transactions. are not burdened by transactions
ASICS do the same job whether the block is full or empty.
transaction numbers mean nothing to asics

cost of mining is based on asic hardware and electric cost. NOT transactions

a tx complexity of validation is less than a couple miliseconds of one standard PC. so the 'cost' of computation is not even 1cent of electric.
if your electric is 6cents/kwh then a block of 2500tx is about couple seconds. so again not even 1 cent

again the transaction fee has no correlation to mining cost.

..
the fee is not about mining. its about auctioning space.
but instead of allowing more space to allow lower fee's
EG
1000tx at $2 =same as 4000tx at $0.50($2k=$2k)

the FAKE plan is 'we need to give more fee's to miners because the coin reward is depleting

again. allowing more transactions give this 'more fees' without stifling usage
the future should not be $4 average now $8 next halving $16next halving $32 next halving
it should be 2500 average tx now 5000tx next halving 10k tx next halving 20k tx next halving

and yes 4tb hard drive in will cover 2500tx (1mb) for 70 years
                                                    5000tx (2mb) for 35 years
                                                    10k tx(4mb) for 17 years
                                                    20k tx(8mb) for 8 years
a 4tb hard drive can handle 10k transactions a block for 17 years. by which time you would have upgraded your pc before then anyway. so its a non issue to cry that 10k transactions are too much

as for bandwidth
a ~ 500mb download a day(1-2node block repeat of 144 blocks + transactions)
=3.5mb every 10 minutes = .35mb a minute = 0.0058mb/s
even the most basic adsl offers more then that. it offers 0.5mb/s
so basic internet offers 100x more then download requirement to get blocks
(its why 12 years of data does not take 12 years. nor 1.2year. nor 1.5month)

as for uploading if your an open peer wanting to participate in the relay network.
average is ~10x that.. so still a 10x buffer..

meaning even on the most basic adsl connection. 8mb per 10min is not a problem
...

and please dont you even dare come back with a rebuttal that bitcoin is designed to work on a XP computer with 500gb hard drive. using dialup.. and saying anything above will kill the network
(as per your mantra in other topics)

.. the core devs have already said 4mb blocks are not a network killer. 4tb hard drives will not kill your debit card
ADSL wont break your twist dial oldy home phone
and devs have already said they will no longer support xp.vista aged systems

so knowing that bitcoin is supposed to function with windows 7+ computing, adsl(devs request) not XP, diaup(your 'conservative' lunacy request)
means you need to stop trying to say that bitcoin needs to be conservative to XP based hardware(per your other comments in other topics) because you beleive stifling(conserving outdated limits) is in bitcoins benefit

we already know that its not in bitcoins benefit. it makes less users want to use bitcoin.
less desire to use the blockchain is what will centralise the network more (common sense logic)
it only benefits the groups in control of sidechains and altcoins that can profit out of bitcoins limitations

again. realise that transaction counts per block do not affect the cost of mining.
if unsure get a ASIC and review its function. and realise transactions do not get processed by asics

in short
we should have moved to 5k plus average tx count per block 4 years ago and be at a 10k tx average block today.. meaning transactions should be ~2-4x less than now
