881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins would you invest $ 1,000,000 in? on: January 10, 2022, 02:29:51 PM
What altcoin / altcoins would you choose and what would you invest your million in? Huh

A $1 Million is a very huge capital you got there mate, but before you consider yourself to invest in altcoins perhaps you should invest in bitcoin first for a sum of atleast $300k-$500k as you can really secure yourself a very competitive returns or profits and more promising to invest in long term rather than altcoins.

But you ask is what altcoins to invest, then my honest answer is I recommend you to invest in ETH, BNB and SOL.
That 3 stated altcoins is going to be good in the future especially BNB, also it's recommended and good for long term hodlings.
882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will owning 0.01 BTC really make you rich? on: January 10, 2022, 01:45:44 PM
0.01 BTC or $400 is definitely not that much and certainly ain't going to make you rich now as for every bitcoin is valued $41.9k as of today.
And even if you live in some underdeveloped nations or some parts in Asia, that 0.01 BTC won't be enough for you to live and eat for atleast a month. So, for now it won't make you live like a king, perhaps it could make you one if the value starts to plunge at $1M or more.
But in other perspective, that value will be enough to start a small business and could eventually make you rich if you can manage it well.
883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 10, 2022, 07:39:42 AM
Nets couldn't have an easy win against Spurs today. It is still good for them to win by 121-119 after overtime. Spurs are not one of the fascinating teams of this season in fact but they still did a good job by making difficulties for Nets in this game. Harden and KD had the role to carry again and they did it successfully. I think that Harden was better as he made a double-double by 26 points and 12 assists. And if he was able to get 3 more rebounds, he would have made a triple-double.

I wonder if having Kyrie back with the team on and off is going to cause problems with their play. It seems like they struggle a bit without him, but at least they got the W.

Today’s big story though is obviously Klay Thompson’s return to the Warriors. It’s been a long time since the splash brothers have played together. I’m just hoping for a safe return and for Klay to nail that first big 3.

I think that the arena will absolutely explode when he hits his first shot.

Just don't expect too much though, he obviously still needs to get back to playing condition and it's definitely not easy having been out for 2+ years. But once he does he will propel the Warriors to the next level in the playoffs.

You can tell that he is itching though, and a lot of fans have been flooded with rumours of his return for quite a while now. Would be good to have it finally become reality.

The Chase Center were definitely flooded by people especially the GSW fans just to see Klay play again for about 2 years of inactivity due to his injury. And as expected, Steve Kerr only allowed him to play 20 minutes on the court but Klay is still very capable throwing 3s and driving the ball towards the ring, he even dunked against Stevens and Markkanen on the 2nd quarter, overall he made 17 pts and 3 rebs.
Now, the Splash Brothers are back again! With Green which will make them more tougher this season.
884  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sell a little bitcoin now to get into alts when it all drops soon? on: January 09, 2022, 03:40:52 PM
wouldn't it be a good idea to sell some bitcoin to be able to do that?
Why would you sell a fraction of your bitcoin invesment just to buy some other altcoins? Are you for real mate? That ain't a good idea to start because even if you're new to this, by now you already know what's the difference of bitcoin to other coins and it's not logical. You could always invest to altcoins separately without touching your bitcoin.

I'm new to trading and wow it's more complicated than coding. What do you guys think?
Those two you mentioned is a two different skill and surely theyr'e both complicated as those skills can't be learn in just a matter of few weeks.
Trading deals with your psychological and emotional point of view while coding deals more in math.
885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 09, 2022, 02:12:00 PM
Phoenix Suns are having just a great season and it is really hard to stop them. But Miami Heat made it last night by beating them, 123-100. They beat Suns even in an away game which makes the win more special for them. Heat just destroyed them especially in the second quarter and managed to keep the gap at a high level to the end. And this was the game Tyler Herro being the player of the game for sure after some break. He scored 33 points and played a big role in this victory.
There was a time it was cut to 13 point lead and I thought that was the moment they had been waiting for, but they got careless with the ball especially Booker who had been throwing the ball off the mark. 5 turnovers were made by him and I saw how bad it is watching live.
Tyler Herro talking trash with Cam Payne made it more fun and I thought it will be the reason to boost the Suns again but no, nothing good happened and he just received a technical foul. Phoenix Suns roster is complete, Miami Heat just played better.
Heat was just an underrated team, the spread was too high thinking that the Suns could dominate an undermanned team, but they are wrong, it was the other way around. Loved what happen because with that loss Warriors could catch up and will be in the number 1 spot again.

Speaking of warriors, they have a game tomorrow and Klay is officially back.

https://www.goldenstateofmind.com/2022/1/8/22874243/klay-thompson-officially-return-vs-cavaliers

The Miami Heat proved it again and made it clear that they're worth it even if they have 11 players missing including Butler who already missed 2 games in a row due to a sprain in his right ankle. Robinson and especially Tyler Herro who scored 33 points again led the team towards their win against the Phoenix Suns.
It wasn't CP's day today and scored below his average PPG. Bridges and Booker also played well but really made mistakes along the way and ain't enough to defeat the Heats today.
886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which coin(s) would you buy now? on: January 09, 2022, 12:48:02 PM
Unfortunately the market is red from December and as a benchmark, bitcoin and ethereum are also still red, even though the market is red but I always buy or switch coins to MATIC and Sandbox, because I believe the growth of these 2 coins will skyrocket and recover faster than the coins that were released. other.

All coins now are in red mate, and in fact, there's definitely no coins that atleast had potential last year and this year that have been exempted in the market's current situation. This is natural when especially bitcoin is experiencing some difficulties climbing in the market, the altcoin also are affected even ethereum.
And at the current situation, I'd still pick and invest on what is on my current portfolio, so I'll just buy more to maximize it namely BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL, and ADA.
887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A quick reminder from Eric Adams, mayor of the City of New York. on: January 09, 2022, 12:17:59 PM
As of this writing, the bitcoin's value is currently trading at a price of $42.9k , declining 11% since December 2021.
With this current market situation, it's already anticipated that many would panic and sell their assets out of fear in line to the market's sudden steep declination and with these much selling of assets, we can't deny that it would have an impact bitcoin's value.

Mayor Eric Adams of New York City was right, instead of going panic and sell what you're hodling, then might as well see this current situation as an advantage to buy bitcoin at a much more cheaper price and think of it as an extended year-end sale. After that, wait until the market recover in-order to reap the profits because it will surely recover and it's been already proven historically.
888  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and happiness. on: January 09, 2022, 08:03:20 AM
Well, happiness is almost what everyone need as far as this life is concern, because many people or almost everybody that is happy is subjected to proper mindset. But sometimes someone can have money, and will not be happy due to lack of proper mindset because money cannot but you happiness. So money is not what make people happy, proper mindset and peace of mind bring happiness.

Still it's subjective as people has different point of views and perspective about money and happiness.
Certainly money can't buy happiness but that word is sometimes came from a rich wealthy man or a dying man who had so much money but didn't had any happiness at all. But we can't say that phrase in front to those people who had almost nothing to eat as they really need money to buy their needs and happiness will follow.

As of now, I'm currently with my current work where I can get paid to pay the bills, wants and needs for daily survival but sometimes it ain't enough as there other things that is needed to buy. But, still a question for me of how much money is literally enough.
889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 09, 2022, 06:59:20 AM

In this fight, I can say that both sides have studied well about each other's weakness and movements. So, it will just a matter of who's punches will connect and the first to make a lethal blow. But these things is just a mere speculations, we will see it soon as they fight.

We have our own biased speculation and personally, I would bet on Magsayo although I know that Russell is not an easy opponent to crack. This is just an opportunity for us bettors to get good underdog odds as Rusell is heavily favored, so I'm very excited to see the odds so I can place my bet early.

That would be interesting, since Magsayo is the challenger here odd, for an underdog will be given to him. As a fan, it would be a nice pick to bet with what you think will excel in this fight and once Magsayo takes this from Russell, the entertainment/enjoyment would be double Grin Tongue
a nice opportunity to support your idol and make some decent amount of profits while watching the fight.

Then again, we can't really say who will win until the fight was over and the announcer announces the winner!

Mark Magsayo may be the underdog in this fight, but he have the higher hand here  and definitely had what it takes to crack Russell just like what he did to Ceja, a lethal blow that would likely to secure his win. Also, their KO rate is really gapped, like Magsayo have a 85% KO rate while Russell only have 79% plus his inactivity in the ring would really give him a ring rust as a disadvantage.

But yes, we can't really be certain who will going to win this fight, unless the fight is over.
890  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin to hit $100k? on: January 08, 2022, 01:47:21 PM
Quote
Bitcoin could see further upside and reach $100,000 by the middle of this year, claims Antoni Trenchev of crypto lender Nexo.
Bitcoin has been a winner in the pandemic era, rising more than 80% in 2021 despite being far off record highs hit earlier that year.
However, some experts have warned that bitcoin may be poised for a steep drop in the coming months tanking as low as $10,000 in 2022, virtually wiping out all of its gains in the past year and a half..
Read more on: https://www.cnbc.com/2022/01/04/founder-of-crypto-lender-nexo-says-bitcoin-could-hit-100000-in-2022-.html?recirc=taboolainternal

Nonetheless, experts may seem predicted the current situation and that bitcoin will likely to experience a steep drop in the upcoming months.
But is it really possible for bitcoin to achieve $100k by mid this year? Given that the market is currently declining.
What are your thoughts on this?
891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you buying in this market downturn? on: January 08, 2022, 01:28:20 PM
Ethereum is what I am about to buy right now, since the price has drop very well for any customers to make a good profit. Many altcoins price has dropped since last year which many customers have been waiting for before they can sell to make income from their investment.
Any investors that will buy more of ethereum in this month of January will have a lot to achieve soon in the community. Ethereum price will definitely increase before the end of this month for holders to smile with their long team and short term investment.

Ethereum is a good coin to buy especially this bearish season, its markets is undergoing such declination like bitcoin so might as well buy it now while it's cheap and before it gets expensive. On the other hand, aside from ethereum, it's also good to include BNB, SOL and ADA to your portfolio to maximize your profits more if the market starts to recover because these coins are also promising and can get you competitive returns soon. I, myself also invested in those stated coins including ethereum but I'm more focusing on BNB.
892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin upgraded my financial life on: January 08, 2022, 08:59:15 AM
So I had a great holiday season all with the help of Bitcoin I came from an underdeveloped country where the rate of unemployment is pretty high and many youths are left to do some hard jobs just to survive even graduates with University degrees have no paying jobs I got to know about this forum some months ago and since then my financial life was transformed and the Christmas happens to be my best I can now earn little money to take care of my financial needs all with the help of Bitcoin-related jobs both on this forum and off the forum. BITCOIN IS A SAVIOR
There is more to Bitcoin I'm case you don't because their is many aspect Bitcoin can change e your life more if in jump into trading, mining, staking and many more. We are in the era of digital money so the wise that quickly adapt to the nature of bitcoin will tend to benefit earlier and more than those who will be coming after. Keep learning and enjoying your cool money..lol

I'm really having a hard time understanding your post man, ain't really sure what you're tying to say. But I think what you're trying to say is that there's more to bitcoin and not just for hodling but for trading, staking and mining as well to maximize your profits.
And yes, indeed we're currently in the era of digital currency and advanced technologies, so might as well keep up and take advantage what bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies have to offer.

Hearing from the OP that his/her life changed and bitcoin did really had a great job helping his/her life financially and more comfortable than what he/she had used to. And as a matter of fact, bitcoin had truly touch many peoples lives already and all thanks to the creator, SN!
893  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins and Video games on: January 08, 2022, 08:25:39 AM
I think games are still aimed at games, namely entertainment even though they offer an income like NFT games but there must be an investment and here you risk it with game skills whereas if it is without investment then what you will get may not be as good as local games that pay quite  buy pulse token sim card

Indeed! NFT based games like Axie Infinity also needs a capital as a form of investment but the great news is after investing, you're going to manage your investments by playing it. Gamers don't really care about those capital because even if they're not generating incomes in some random games, they still buy some avatars to make their characters look good. So as long as they earn or get paid by just playing on it and have, that's all that matters to them and it's like a gamers fantasy that have been came true. That's what makes the Axie the one of the most successful games under NFT.
894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 08, 2022, 07:31:04 AM
We have a final-like game tonight between Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks. I would like to watch this game really but it is a bit late for the place I live in.  Grin  Anyway, I will be favouring Nets in this game. I'm one of the people who don't support Nets' action to bring Irving back to the starting five. But it looks like nobody is uncomfortable with this. Then, I can say that Nets are more powerful now. We are going to watch the trio tonight again and I think Nets will win.

Sadly, the Nets have been defeated again by the Milwaukee Bucks, it was their 5th straight loss in their own homecourt. James Harden isn't feeling but managed to give 9 rebounds and 7 assists in the game today, while Durant almost made a triple double just like Giannis on this game. Gotta give some credits to the Bucks especially Portis, Middleton, and Giannis who have dominated the game and each drilling 3-points from the start until the end. The Bucks is seriously confident in the game, leaving the Nets for a 20 point lead in the 3rd quarter.
895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2022 is the time to buy or sell? on: January 08, 2022, 06:22:04 AM
2022 is the time to buy or sell? If it is time to buy, then which coins or tokens?

The year 2022 started with bearish season and as we can see bitcoin and lot of altcoins are declining and affected by the current situation. Let's make this as an advantage and chance to buy coins while it's cheap, just remember to just buy it partially and not by a huge sum because we don't know or predict what will likely to happen in the few weeks to come. Just have some research first what to buy before you start investing.

Which coins or tokens? BTC, SOL, ADA and BNB.
896  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Losses in trading are nothing but Business expenses on: January 06, 2022, 06:40:43 PM
Yes losing in trading is business expenses but someone who has put all the money in trading and unfortunately the price goes down then he will surely drop all of his  capital. So it can be make him disappoint and due to this reason perhapes he stop  this activity. Therefore for some people it is not just business expenses but it is hope of gaining profit as there is no other source to gain money.

Actually, even the most skillful and experienced trader isn't exempted about it, up until now they're still lose if they can't predict it very well and with just a small margin of errors may lead to losses not just profits but capitals as well. Losing is always a part of the expenses and there's nothing we can do about it but the important thing is you have learned and gained another experience.
It's very unfortunate to hear some stories that have failed in trading and lost due to greed, I mean they know that it's a gamble to take but they still did it because of the tempting profits if ever if it succeed but sadly it didn't. It's never a good idea to put all your capital after all, because chances are it'll lead to disappointments.
897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 06, 2022, 04:41:33 PM
The Dallas Mavericks - Golden State Warriors game didn't end in the way I imagined. I was expecting a high-scoring game and a very close win by Mavericks. They still won but the result was 99-82. But it was still great to see Doncic continuing to improve his performance by this game. He got 26 pts, 7 reb and 8 ast. Curry had another terrible game with 14 pts. He got only 5 field goal made out of 24 shot attempts. And they performed really poorly as a team too.
Curry wasn't playing his MVP level in the last 2 games, not sure if he is 100% healthy or he is having a minor injury that hinders him in playing his full potential. It was a great game as Luka once again proved that he deserve to be part of the MVP conversation, and yes, let's hope we will see the Mavs to be consistent in winning again.
Sometimes even the best player in the NBA also experience some struggle, that is normal but what is important is that the Warriors are healthy now and they are still the number 1 team in the NBA. We cannot underestimate the Dallas Mavericks also, they have Luka and they have a good system as well, but if they will play in best of 7 game series, I'm sure the Warriors would win.

The Mavericks sure have some tricks and answers to every opponent they have even if it's a much more stronger team than them, so we can't really underestimate this team because they are on the 5th spot in the West for a reason. Right now they are on their 4th win streak and it could be their 5th as the Rockets will be their next opponent, not a tough team this season. But as for the GSW, maybe they're just tired from their game against the Heats the other day. We can really see it on how Curry, Green and Poole played today, it's just not their day and GSW will always bounce back from their defeats.
898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we sell all crypto now? on: January 06, 2022, 01:16:35 PM
All crypto is dropping now because of FED. It seems that it’s the start of the bearish market. Should we sell all crypto now?

If you sell all your crypto assets now, then what's the use of hodling it anyway in the first place if you'll eventually sell it and give up when the market dips or bearish. The steep declination of market is quite normal now as we've already experienced it almost every year.
The market's sudden declination will really give some people a mindset to sell before they lost it all, panic selling can be seen nowadays and this will continue if the market stays this way. We can't really blame them because it's their money and their loss, but surely they have a weak mindset.

“The dollar is going to get stronger and stronger, and ultimately I want to see a strong dollar,” Trump said in an exclusive interview from the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. “Our country is becoming so economically strong again and strong in other ways, too.”
Trump’s latest remarks about the dollar diverge from his past comments. Last April, Trump said he was worried the dollar was “getting too strong.” Trump tells CNBC.
Source: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/01/25/trump-says-dollar-to-get-stronger-and-stronger.html

I remember when this man bought an entire airline for a staggering $365 Million on late 1890s and 18 months after, it went down and declared bankruptcy. And ever since former US President, Donald Trump have been always vocal about his love about the money (meanly dollar) ever since he's young and a teenager up until he became a president. He literally spent his entire life making money, trying every sort of businesses and investments until he became what he is now.
I'm quite sure he knew that NFTs are on the cypto blockchain as he's a pure businessman. It's that he can't prevent his wife Melania to be an anti cypto like him so now, he can only say that Melania is going to do great. Lol Grin
900  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 05, 2022, 05:58:52 PM
Despite being a champion, he shouldn't still be too confident because Magsayo is preparing hard for this fight. 2 years is a long time rest for Russell so it might be the edge of Magsayo who has been continuously doing matches for years. The result is honestly quite unpredictable but I'm sure that this will be an exciting fight.

Still even if he is a champion or even he is known as undisputed fighter he still needed to prepare for his upcoming fights and not be overconfident on what kind of opponent he is going to fight with. It is better to be prepared than being overconfident if Magsayo is really looking to win this fight. Which in fact, Garry Russell is not also a small fighter that he need to be confident, I believe this fight will be a difficult fight for both fighters but I am also rooting to Mark Magsayo to win this fight.

It's okay to be confident but never underestimate an opponent whether you are a champion or not. It's necessary to ensure that proper training is done since this is a championship fight, and the loser here will lose the chance to have bigger fights in the future. For Magsayo as a challenger, he should give everything he has for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Let's just give Russell the benefit of the doubt as we don't really know what does he thinks to this fight. Though I'm not a big Gary Russell fan but I could say that he's not underestimating anything about Magsayo's skills and capability but surely he knew that his inactivity is really a disadvantage because practicing and training consistently is so different when you're actively fighting an opponent professionally. Both fighters have something to prove, like for Russell that he's capable and worth to be called the undisputed champion despite his inactivity and as for Magsayo, this fight will be his stepping stone towards success and to have more fights in the future if ever Magsayo could defeat Russell. But that is a question for now because I have no doubt that this fight is going to be a close one and tough, so there's no guarantee who'll be declared as a winner.
