Chrome has its own and it stores them encrypted with different password that the one for user profile.
But this doesn't matter. It was already said (I'll bold it and make it big) and it covers the story correctly:

Lockwise os different because it is a password manager. It can generate new passwords, while chrome, as far as I know  can't.
9182  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CMC Special Announcement, AMA On Friday, Feb. 28 from 9:00-10:00am PST on: February 28, 2020, 11:25:24 AM
Unfortunately, CMC is a Blockchain.info version that tracks cryptos price. Fame is what made him in first place.
Perhaps it was one of the best sites in the past but they did not change many strategies that made ranking cryptocurrencies according to the market capacity "which can be easily manipulated" misleading for many beginners.
The site is now concerned with profit more than developing an attractive and more reliable interface.

I agree that they are more concerned about profit, and the manipulated data is a problem.

But I couldn't find more reliable alternatives yet.
Cmc shows a lot of different coins and tokens, their price on exchanges,  the average price between all of them... updated in real time. I find it very good. I tried others but I always come back to cmc for some reason.

Which one do you use?

9184  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't auto Save your login details on: February 26, 2020, 11:41:19 AM
OP, your title is misleading, because from it alone it looks like you're telling to never save login information in the browser, but in your post you are only talking about public computers. There's nothing wrong with saving logins on your own computer, and if you use a master password, it's nearly as good as a full password manager, because your passwords will be encrypted.

I Agree
Firefox has an in built password manager, lockwise.
If you auto save your logins in firefox  this won't happen. But you should never do this is on public computers anyway.

Additionally,  every service states clearly not to save your logins in public computers.

Your funds are frpzen.

You probably need to do kyc (send some documents)
Coinbase is an exchange, not a wallet, you should never leave your funds there.

Your funda are now hostage unil you do whatever they want...

Coinbase should only be used to buy or sell crypto. Then you should immediately withdraw when.
9188  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible for a newbie to send merit? on: February 23, 2020, 11:10:28 PM
and how many can you receive as a Newbie?[/b]

You  can receive unlimited merit.
It only depends on your post quality.

In general  if you are interested in cryptocurrency and act as a genuine person, you will receive enough merits to rank up.

How low can John Macfee go?
He abused the fact that he was a somehow famous person in cryptography ecosystem to promote scam projects . He earned lots of money that way.

He had a nice reputation as the developer of macfee antivirus... sadly he is now just a scammer.

9192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paying low fees in Ethereum - Gas Limit, Gas Price and Gwei on: February 22, 2020, 09:11:29 PM
Gas Limit and Gas Price attributes define the total cost of your transactions, according to the formula below:
gas limit * gas price

You should edit the OP.

The Transaction fee is not gas limit * gas price.
What you pay for a transaction is used gas * gas price.

I believe you are going to refunded if you send extra gas
.
So you will spend all gas limit, and will get a refund later.
9193  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Anyone a Ledger Nano S expert? on: February 22, 2020, 09:08:02 PM
The seed is correct and the funds were sent to this correct address as it is confirmed on the blockchain.

That is exactly the problem.

The seed is correct and the transaction is confirmed. However,  that address does  not belong to your seed (at least it really looks like)
In this case, funds are lost. You cannot brute force that address to find the correct private key.

Did you copy paste the address for the Transaction or did you typed it?
9194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paying low fees in Ethereum - Gas Limit, Gas Price and Gwei on: February 20, 2020, 11:31:41 PM
I'm still sending 1 gwei transactions for under a penny in transaction fees.  It usually takes up to a day to complete but I have no issue with waiting.

Bumping for visibility

You can use a vert low gas price and a high gas limit . The extra gas won't cause you to problems and you will still make a very cheap transaction
9195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Need help] What should be done when the transaction fails due to "Out of Gas"? on: February 20, 2020, 11:29:50 PM
I made this topic log ago about how to use the gas system I  ethereum

Take a look. You need to increase gas limit, but you can use a low gas price.

Some time ago I participated in an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) and they defined the following parameters for Eth contributions:
Maximum Gas Price: 50 Gwei
Gas Limit: 150 000
I made a little research to learn what these attributes means.

Gwei, Wei and Ether are different unit measures of the same thing.
1 Ether = 1.000.000.000.000.000.000 Wei
1 Wei is the smallest unit of Ether, as 1 Satoshi (0.00000001 BTC) is the smallest of Bitcoin.

All computational work of running Smartcontracts or transactions in the Ethereum Network are paid in Ether (Eth), which is the fuel of that network.
Gas is a unit of measuring this computation work, which is usually measured in Gwei.
Some amount of Gas is charged for every computational operation in the Etehreum Network. For example, and addition costs 5 Gas.

Gas Limit and Gas Price attributes define the total cost of your transactions, according to the formula below:
gas limit * gas price

Gas Price: Amount of Gwei you are willing to spend per unit of gas.
Gas Limit: Maximum amount of units of gas you are willing to spend on a transaction.

From my ICO example, if the Gas Price is 50 Gwei and the Gas Limit is 150.000, this transaction will cost 7.500.000 Gwei (or 0.0075 Eth).

To determine what is the gas price, just check out this website

9196  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Anyone a Ledger Nano S expert? on: February 20, 2020, 10:31:46 PM
What is most probable is that the OP noted down the seed incorrectly.

Recovered it and then couldn't access his funda again

Another option is that the OP sent his funds to the incorrect address.  Or a copy paste virus or something like that.

The most unlikely situation is that the OP's leddger nano has a terrible bug, which gave him the wrong address.

This is very unlikely because there are no reports like that.

9198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to easily keep track of ETH wallets/transactions/tokens on: February 20, 2020, 02:47:37 PM
It is good if you have multiple wallets.
However if you have just a few addresses,  you can just bookmark them on ether scan so you can keep track of your shitcoins.
9199  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is it technically possible to create a vanity HD wallet? on: February 20, 2020, 01:07:26 AM

I think this is not a HD wallet, because there is  o relationship between those private keys that you generated.

A deterministic wallet is a wallet which all private keys generated have a mathematical relationship,  so you can only save its seed.

Like that:

Quote
A deterministic wallet is a system of deriving keys from a single starting point known as a seed. The seed allows a user to easily back up and restore a wallet without needing any other information and can in some cases allow the creation of public addresses without the knowledge of the private key. Seeds are typically serialized into human-readable words in a Seed phrase. The BIP 0032 standard for Hierarchical Deterministic Wallets is used by all good wallets as of 2019.

Coinomi is a great wallet to ger all the forked coins you need.
They have this guide here

And this one specially for bsv, which doesn't have replay protection. You need to split your coins first.
