Some things, unfortunately, have no solution. No matter how easy it would have been.

GHOST TOWN

Well, supporting this project kind of comes with that "privilege", right? If you REALLY, REALLY, REALLY believe in it, it shouldn't matter much, right? As a matter of fact, it presents you with countless incredible buying opportunities...

That is if you REALLY, REALLY, REALLY believe in the project, of course.
923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: March 02, 2015, 04:25:06 PM
Amazed, really amazed by the "minds at work" here...  This turd is, always was, a copy cat hack job that Dumb and Dumberer thought he would be able to, just on his name's association, make successful. It was also the little thingy, side show if you will, that would make him a bit different and, maybe, grant some more appearances on CNBC. It had never anything of value, on any way, other than his name -which quickly, in crypto, became shit-value-. There's no "master plab"; there's no "conspiracy of the powerful"; this is just a spiteful side joke with no chance whatsoever of success. None w h a t s o e v e r. Who, besides Dumb and Dumberer, ever thought that having POS, which about 300 other turds already have had for years, would mean anything at all? What else has Dumb or Dumberer available that they can bring to this project? It isn't that either don't want to communicate and ra-ra... it is that it's long past due all those things: They have absolutely nothing to bring to the table, alright? So, instead of posting here the usual, absurd "we are working behind the surface", which everyone knows what it means, they get all wrapped up on their undies and "leave" for "nicer" forums, where people is still either oblivioous or somewhat receptive to their BS.

It is THAT simple.

But, by all means, keep working your "amazing" minds....

Community is lost, and there is an update at nautiluscoin.com, but seems like nobody cares lol

And BK is asking for suggestions from the community for centralized mining issues. From Which Community ? That is another Big LOL.
BK, you destroyed the community by yourself and now asking for suggestions ?

The actions and attitude of BK take Dumb& Dumberer to a whole new level...
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Viorcoin | Voice & Video Call | ViorNumber | Cheap International Calls on: February 28, 2015, 08:30:41 PM
Actually I have 50 people (so far I haven't started marketing) who I am going to sell my coins to once everything gets polished.

We don't need the crypto world, except for maybe a place to buy voir wholesale, as long as the dev opens up a voir coin purchase center.
At the moment development is buying back voir coin for 10x the price of bittrex and as soon as we the investors feel confident that voir coin is a competitive sleek and professional service the coins and money will transfer without any need of an exchange.

But go ahead sell what you have left and increase liquidity.
Only the quick alt traders care about that, and hell those guys are small potatoes.

BC

Where exactly is that buying happening? I have a modest position that I would very much like to unload for 10x the current price. I would even take much less... or is it just your usual BS?
926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Viorcoin | Voice & Video Call | ViorNumber | Cheap International Calls on: February 28, 2015, 05:55:25 PM
one question, who gives a shit about videocalling (besides the 10 people that pump this thread?), thats right nobody, look at price..1btc down to 900 sat.

Yeah I make international calls to Russia, America and Canada for basically free. I can mint like 80+ VIOR a day and I've used in a month like 10-20 VIOR on calls. LOL! Love VIOR so much!  Cheesy

Great. Your very expensive hobby (the cost of your coins is extremely high) makes you happy... that's what hobbies are supposed to do. Skying in Colorado does that for many. Parachuting for others. But, as a matter of fact, you are a very serious problem for this project to go forward.

Let me explain it to you a bit: Imagine (not very hard) that 10 more people are like you and instead of having so much VIOR the only have a few tens of thousands. Follow? The resulting reality is that no one, quite literally, has any interest in this project. As you can see VIOR is already on the verge of delisting in Bittrex because, well, no one is selling. And, of course, no one is buying. In other words, there isn't a MARKET for it. Or, to be more precise, the only ones interested in buying more at lowerr prices are the same 10 people that already have 90% of it -or more- and who, also, are the only sellers at an unreasonably higher price, therefore producing a gap so big that the (non-existant) market has de facto disappeared. As a consequence, inevitably, the coin will be delisted and VIOR will be very, very soon a pale memory and yet another abandoned project. Catch my drift yet?

Now, why is that the situation? It's very simple: The crypto community is NOT at all interested nin VIOR. They are the ones fully aware of any and all coin projects and they are simply oblivious to it so there will NOT be any support from them. At ANY price. They simply are not interested in investing or otherwise supporting a crypto project whose use case is becoming a telco a la Vonage... best case scenario. It's like selling bikinis, if you will, in the North Pole, ok?

Consequently, we arrive at the ONLY alternative: Widespread adoption. Or, to put it in perspective, being a competitor to other mainstream telcos and such as Vonage, Skype or Google and all the browsers and services that use message and voip free or semi-free.... If you believe that any iteration of VIOR, now or in a very distant future, has even the slimmest of chances in hell to be a player in that amazingly competitive -and unprofitable- world, well you need, in my opinion, to get your head examined. Is there, then any way out? Any possibility whatsoever for this project to go forward? well here's the good news: YES, I believe so. Why? Because it has some small but potentially valuable assets: A very nice logo is one. A very good working, staking wallet, is the second. On those alone, it is above 80% of all the rest of cryptos. So, in my opinion, the development should ease completely, or almost completely, on the "telco" side to concentrate on pure-crypto development. And, at the same time, in promoting, within the crypto community, just another copy/paste hackjob, yes, but with active, engaged development with commitment to become a contender for survival in the alt crypto space, with the "telco" side as simply a side for the very few interested. OK, crypto is full of hundreds of clones that somehow have managed to survive even without any use-case. VIOR can do that. It should look for other uses, like in online gambling, for instance, a HUGE market open to everyone. Create lotteries, people seem to love those -you can call it raffles-, I don't klnow, brainstorm ideas. It is a GOOD Pos COIN. iT IS A GOOD WALLET. iT HAS, FOR THOSE FEW INTERESTED, THE VOICE/VIDEO OVER iP, it has an active developer -who should remain not ever posting directly because he will sink it instantly-, it is a great logo and it is a very attractive price... if it finds it's market. It SHOULD do much better than it is doing even if nothing else of interest is developed.

But what it is clear as crystal is that the path followed until now, takes it it to 10 crazy nut big holders with no more spare money that, de facto, kill the project altogether. So no more looking for markets where there's nobody interested in buying. No more voice/video over Ip that no one wants. No more wrath rants by the dev. And, instead, more promoting the great staking wallet to the crypto community. That is the ONLY path to survival, in my opinion. And it has to be taken pronto, before delisting/death delivers the final blow.

Otherwise, just prepare the funeral, because it is coming...

Nice, but is this then the March 1st announcement or is there something [more] still coming?

There's something else coming (considering this a "something" at all is ludicrous enough, you know?). He will say "hi all!".

What else is it that you are expecting? Come on!
928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paycoin (XPY) is scam on: February 28, 2015, 08:10:44 AM

Another XPY thread.  At least this one is more fact based rather than hate mongering like that 1200 page one.  Nothing but idiots over there.

Cheers!

It seems to still be a mission for a bunch of people. Amazing indeed.

No thread. Minimal volume, about to disappear from Bittrex. Gone.

Pity.

Racist turd Will7am (now on PANDA team), fully responsible. Panda people should know better. But do they?

Actually there's this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=903578.40 but no one really posts anything of any interest there, of course. Just a couple wishful thinkers jerking off each other with absurd speculation and looking to unload their bags. Sad state of things...

well, VIOR is also in the voting on C-cex, but it seems nobody here cares about voting it. People can only complain that Bittrex is the only exchange, yet even with free votes we have only 2 votes (one of them mine, as the author of submission form) altogether. Is that what VIOR community stands for?

VIOR doesn't need more exchanges. It needs more BUYERS. And that doesn't depend on exchanges at all.
agree, VIOR needs more buyers, but they may activate having more exchanges, not just one that is ruled by bots.

barabbas, I was wondering if you saw my question to you in this thread. Just in case you missed it:
Fine. Tell me what investment do you propose instead of VIOR, I am all ears. You may use pm, to avoid bringing this thread off-topic.
I am really interested what do you think.

I disagree. Bots are prevalent on every exchange and BTER in particular is a cesspool of fraud and corruption... I suggest yoiu read the uncensored thread about BAY or many other threads about BAY and David Zimbeck to know to what level of corruption the owner and operator of BTER has gone... that we know off. One can only imagine what REALLY goes on there.

As for investments in crypto, I don't believe any crypto deserves any "investment" at all, understanding that "investment" to me is supporting a project from inception to consolidation. If any, it would be BTC and, perhaps, NXT because they are quickly (NXT) consolidating and their exchange is growing in volume every day exponentially. But I don't give investment advice not in crypto and definitely not for free. I can tell you though that I trade, rather heavily, in a bunch of coin projects... including NXY and XPY and a few others. I have a weak heart for Solarcoin, for obvious reasons, but I am not sure that "investment" will ever pan out.

I doubt you would take away anything of value on what I just posted, I chose to ignore your request because I don't think you should be influenced by me or anyone else, nor should anyone. This crypto "scene" is far from being ready for investment, so risk your money on your gut feeling if you feel like. If you do it after deeply researching the tech, you'll probably support very valid projects but also probably you will lose money rather than make money. So, I'm afraid, you are on your own.

It's actually thriving, rebounding again to consolidate the 60% jump of yesterday...

In case anyone here would be even remotely interested in reality... fat chance right?

Of course he dopes, how would he not? He has showed everyone a level of unthinkable incompetence and irresponsibility that has cpost a lot of people a lot of money. And here everyone tells him exactly what he has done. Of course he hates it.

People here HATES him back several times more. And with plenty of reasons too. So he hides where he feels he can escape the hatred and criticism he so richly deserves. Everything quite logical.

This is how Wall Street does things.  I totally expected exactly this from Keiser and Kelly.  They can't do huge premines so then how do you grab 50%+ of the float?

You make some "errors" and "honest mistakes" and you forget to post for 6 months so people will assume you gave up.  Maybe pay a few trolls to troll 24/7 and WHAM, you grab 50-70% of the coin and now spending millions to promote and develop the coin actually makes sense.

Why would anyone on earth think that any person would spend millions to launch, promote and develop a coin when they only own 1% or 2%?

I can't even blame these guys, they should be allowed to do a 70% premine to save us all this time and trouble since they're gonna get that much with these games they play anyway.

And what do you care as an investor if you're smart and you buy low and wait?  They'll do all the work and you'll make 100 fold on your investment.

Warren Buffet took 40 years to make his first 100 fold on his best investment.  A shrewd person can do that in 6-12 months in crypto!

There isn't a chance in hell for this train wreck to ever get a 100%, no matter what Kelly does. As a matter of fact, there's nothing he can really do that can produce more than a double or a triple from the current levels. Chump change either way. This project, please make a note of it, will never, EVER, EVER be worth more than 25k sat. EVER.

insightful argument!  Cheesy I don't need vior to hit $1, actually I'm already fine now with free international calls  Smiley

937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Viorcoin | Voice & Video Call | ViorNumber | Cheap International Calls on: February 25, 2015, 05:24:09 PM

There are about 2 dozen services that allow you to do that, with video, for free. Already readily available. And for very small fees, much more conveniently. Google it and you will be flooded with offers.

There are several crypto projects which do it also, research them. Or just trust the dev here who has pointed them out several times.

But I understand: You WANT to like this. Which is perfectly fine: It has a great wallet, that works, and a very nice logo...

again, Vior thanks to staking is pretty much free, I can hardly see any other service being cheaper than free Smiley

also of course there is plenty of voip services for cellphones, but none of them is from voip on pc to telephonic line for cellphone. They all need the phone to be connected to the internet, vior's gateway does not. And even if there were (I'm really not informed about this), I highly doubt they would be free.

Then rejoice because this should be hitting the $1 mark any time now, right? hehe...
938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Viorcoin | Voice & Video Call | ViorNumber | Cheap International Calls on: February 25, 2015, 05:09:45 PM
It is pointless for you pennyless bagholders to keep on sending ignorant PMs. I'm not going to answer any of you, ok? that's what the forum is for.

This is a project still light years -in crypto terms- to have any practical use. That's why I simply state that fact. When and IF it reaches the point of actual usability, it will have a testimonial value for it doesn't represent any significant improvement over what's already readily available in multiple forms, including crypto. Before that it is just pure speculation and, as such, reflected in the price.

And all the dancing around the flames you pennnyless bagholders do, won't help any either. The opposite, if anything.

I didn't join the flame war going on in here and I'm not going to join it now, but why do you say it is light years from having practical use? I'm using it right now to call my relatives in the US from Europe, from my PC to their cellphone: it is here and working now, and there is no other crypto that lets me do this, and no other service that lets me do it for less, since I'm pretty much paying nothing thanks to staking. Why all this unnecessary and immotivate hate towards vior? just asking

939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: February 25, 2015, 05:02:39 PM
-make sure you have the correct version
- make sure the db is in the same file structure (nxt-default.properties will tell you)
- make sure properties points to the file (again) Smiley

I've never tried this service or on windows, but I've heard this works somehow.

What version of client are you running?

If you have just upgraded to 1.4 .16, you have to delete the 'lib' folder too.

But it sounds like you might be using the installer version of Nxt rather than NRS?

Thanks for the responses. It turns out I was running the wrong version!! I was running the installer version when I should have been using the NRS. I just downloaded the NRS and it seems to be working now and the blockchain file I downloaded is now recognized although strangely, 1.4.16 didn't work once the lib folder was deleted so I kept it. The NRS doesn't slow down my computer as much as the installer version too which is good to see although I'm not sure why this is the case.

EDIT: I decided to switch to version 1.4.15 of the NRS instead but everything else is still the same. Smiley

Right, when it was said to "delete the lib folder" it means the lib folder of your current version not the new version.

I always do this. I get the updated version. I delete all the files/folders in my Nxt folder except for the Nxt_db folder, then I copy the new version into the Nxt folder. This way if files are delete/changed I am guaranteed to be running all the newest files.

Shouldn't all of this, ALL OF THIS, be done by the client on "run" automatically? What kind of tech requires this kind of pre-diluvian actions? Come on!
