nicely packed

when I hot air blowing out of it I figured someone was making some money on my electric and sure enough - someone's account and pool were in there.... I wonder how long they test these things -  A WEEK???  LOL

aside from the bad power cable to run the rasberry (which I'll get rid of soon) and the problem I had after upgrading the firmware - thee unit is running nicely. I have no been able to test the watts its drawing but it goes generate a decent amount of hot air (so do the guys I work with tho) and the fan is not overly noisy. I have my units in my basement where it's always cool and I can't hear anything from down there anyway.

I'm quite impressed that's it's hashing at 26.5 MH with the standard clock setting. I'm not going to experiment with the faster clock setting - you guys can do that because I want his thing to be reliable and last and pay for itself many times over.

Which fan would you say is louder, The fan on your hashra machine or the fan on a g-blade?

this fan is certainly louder - it's almost twice the size of the gblade fan...

I would not want the unit in my office that's for sure... but it's not obnoxious...

Am I missing the proof here? They showed a miner (probably a relabeled miner from a 3rd party) that has nothing to do with the product they are taking orders for.

And somehow this proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are legit? Oh right, they have a real office with a friendly receptionist and a Rockminer with a MAT sticker covering the original one. This just HAS to be real, lol.
Hello,

This is what i have seen, there is not more or less.  MAT knew i was coming, and this is what they has shown.
There were questions about they having a real office (including me), That`s been the case.
The Miner I hold is been the real thing, but still a pre production. There were no scrypt miners so no real proof there.
In have talked about 1.5 hours whit there CEO, and i had a good impression, that's what i report here for u guys (no thanks)

I cannot proof it they will make business mistakes, nor did i financial investigation on there
bookkeeping (someone ask true pm today). What i can do is make a visit and tell you guys what i have seen and my feeling about them.

The questions were Will there be a office? yes there is.  Is the CEO really there? Yes he was and he knows a thing or two about mining. Have you seen any products? I have seen one real sha256 miner.

Hope this will clear things up.

Zeta.

sorry - you are one of the bad guys now - don't you realize you are not permitted to say anything nice about any companies - unless of course is spoonfoolies... (sic?)

you will be pounced on...chided...second guessed, called a traitor...drawn and quartered and then hung from the gallows until you are silent...

welcome to the dark side LUKE!

My hash rate just dropped by like 70% and all my miners are working just fine

quit whining - I got a car whose gas mileage dropped by 70% too...

Josh/Inaba is gagged by their attorneys

He hasn't posted anything since April yet has logged on less than a week ago.

They probably don't want the hole to get any deeper when they can't control the conversation.

That little pussy is going to sing like a fucking canary when the shit actually hits the fan.  Sonny fucked up by hiring the retard and paid the price while Josh helped dig that big fat hole.  Now Sonny has to keep the useless sack of shit around for fear he will sing like the bitch he is if he's let go.  Either way at some point bitch boy will not be able to keep the big boy pants on and is going to sell old Sonny down the fucking river.  Going to be loads of fun, shits just warming up, be prepared to be shocked and amazed, I predict we aint seen nothing yet!!

The only pussy here is you, as in you are whining like a cat in heat.  Whine some more for me, I like to read between the lines on how pathetic your life is.

Gagged by lawyers?  Way to spread more lies, Joe!  How many lies can you tell in one day?  Lets find out... go!  You wonder why I don't bother coming by here very often... heh.  This place is the laughingstock of the hardware community.  Nobody gives two shits about this place anymore and it's all thanks to people like you making the incredible shithole that it is.

Good luck and please carry on and see how much I give a shit about the trolls here! Smiley

Hehhehe someone has a hard time telling the difference between my "lies" and Bait.

Did anyone notice that Josh did not comment on the case being overturned.

Case...........CLOSED.

Not another word of discussion is necessary on this topic.

troll history : LOL figures...

I have still got the Flu, so it will be a brief report.

On the Bitcointalk forums people ask for a independent source to visit the Mining ASICs Technologies.
So After a long drive (250km) I arrived at Maastricht.
At the reception of Mining ASICs Technologies (MAT) a friendly girl asked me to take a seat.
5 minutes later i am shaking hands whit the CEO Marc Coumans.
We took a seat and his start talking about the MAT company that he and his two partners started February 2014. They want to create a cheap 28nm asic chips.

Of course i asked about the miners itself, mister Marc Coumans got a big box from behind, we unpacked the pre-production Titanium 3 Terra Hashes miner.
The Titanium Has 7 Mining boards od 340 Giga Hashes. Its a heavy machine, really well build.
In the Final product sall have 4 Mining boards of 1.5 Terra Hashes each, whit a updated asic chip.
The Miners (scrypt and sha-256) will be a Modulair desing, so you can order extra mining boards later or replace broken boards. This all can be hot swapped!
We of Bitcoinupdate got a lot of questions about DreamChips, MAT has a exclusive contract to create there Asics chips.
So no other company will be using DreamChip as there FPGA or ASICs hardware cource.
I think people can take there own conclusions from that.

I must say i have really good impression of Mining ASICs Technologies.
Its a real frim, in a really building, and i have seen even some real people ;-)
It seems more then legit to me.
I hope my effort helped the mining community, and a thinks are more clear now.
If there are any questions, please ask them.

As reviewer my report also can be found here: http://cryptomining-blog.com/2641-a-visit-at-the-office-of-mining-asics-technologies/

thank you so much - now people will stop questioning my sanity....well - at least the people here on the forum - my friends question my sanity all the time Smiley

ciao dickhead...

I was advised to upgrade to the new firmware.

please go back to the rock you crawled out from under....

Anywho......

Is the img file up on their support site. Maybe reflashing the SD will work.

It was definately the firmware - DO NOT UPGRADE YOUR FIRMWARE FROM THEIR CONTROL MENU!

I reflashed using the firmware that comes on the chip and i'm back hashing fine again.

it you want to see what's really happening on the system - ssh to the ip address of the rasberry using pi/controla

and then tail /var/log/syslog

they have debug mode set on so everything is written to the log file

or you can just watch it scroll by in the debug window

with the clocking set to 301 (default) I'm hashing along at 26.5 mh

pics coming in a few

what's also nice is they're using cgminer and have the api enabled to I can monitor the machine through cgremote and get alerts if it stops mining (and most mpos pools offer these alerts also).

I can't wait till the second arrives and I ordered another today from zighash

simon's tech guy did get back to be and I'll be trying the original firmware that was shipped on the ssd card.

I have my fingers crossed.

but I still hate rasberry's!

folks - if you get your miner my advice that if it's running ok -  ignore the message that says there's a newer version of firmware and DO NOT UPGRADE until  get my problem figured out.

I am not defending Hashra,

BUT

It seems like you are the first person to get a unit, you were very patient to wait for your unit, now be patient to get support.

Where are you located and where are they located? Are you looking for them to reply to your support request and perhaps its 3am where they are?

Have a little patience.

you my friend are not out $6,000 like me.

So let me make sure I am clear?

It arrived, you plugged it in, it Hashed at 25Mh as advertised,
You did a firmware upgrade and now it won't hash,
You sent support an email, they haven't responded yet,
So you now believe you are out $6000?

How did you come to this conclusion?

I don't know who you are but you're a late comer to this thread so do me a favor unless you can help me out you're not help.

I've waited patiently so my unit...

I only received one of the two I ordered...

I followed their instructions to a T.

I make accomodations for a power cable that did not work

I can ping the unit and can ssh to is but it does not respond on port 80...

and since there's no source code available for me to compile a version that I can run off a linus box I'm stuck with this rasberry that's not responding.

I even tried my own rasberry to no avail.

it would be nice to see my investment and time start producing income for me...

ciao!

I think you should do some research to find out how well or how poorly bad company has kept their promises for equipment in the past
936  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: HASHRA - LUNAR LANDER & LAUNCHER - ASIC SCRYPT MINERS 14MH+ - 78MH+ on: June 05, 2014, 07:21:04 PM
well - I guess I should have left well enough alone.

perhaps my power cable for the Pi was simply defective - I dunno, but it's kind of cobbled together so I'll pull the tape off later and look to see if the connectors are put together properly.

the controla software told me there was a new version of firmware available so I chose to download it.

and it attempted to reset itself but would not start mining again - so I powered everything off and back on and it's back hashing again.

as you see on the attached screen - there is a drop down list so that you can set the clock speed. It defaults to 291 but as you can see on the list you can run it slower or a lot faster

I'm going to hook up a meter soon to see the actual current load.

By the way - what is really really nice is that Simon includes an adapter that plugs into the 'motherboard' harness of the PSU with an on/off rocker switch on it so that you do not have to jumper pins 3&4 on the harness to supply power once the PSU is turned on - that's a really nice little touch.

937  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: HASHRA - LUNAR LANDER & LAUNCHER - ASIC SCRYPT MINERS 14MH+ - 78MH+ on: June 05, 2014, 06:51:13 PM
Update - My Hasrha unit arrived this afternoon.

I just got it all connected and what I noticed is that there is no power supply for the Pi included.

what is included it an adapter that takes one of the standard four pin plug from the PSU and has a power plug for the Pi on the other end.

Unfortunately this power cable does not supply enough power to the Pi to get it to fire up it's lights and the ethernet link.

Fortunately for me I had a Pi sitting around that I used to use with my Gridseeds and I used that power supply to get it fired up.

I am anxiously waiting for Simon to post a link to the the GIT source project where the Hashra source code is located so that I can compile it and run it directly from my pc using Linux.

I am going to attempt to access the unit now.

ps: there's a great little freeware program from www.advanced-ip-scanner.com that I use to scan the network for new ip addresses and I used that to find the Rasberry/Hashra unit.

the unit must be hashing already into Simons LTC account somewhere because it's putting a load on my UPS and is blowing hot air out the back.

In terms of noise it's no louder than a small room fan.

more to follow:

939  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: HASHRA - LUNAR LANDER - ASIC SCRYPT MINERS 12.5MH+ - 75MH+ on: June 05, 2014, 11:07:41 AM
it seems they only got up to 14Mhs by overclocking the pants off it though. It was only 400w @ 12.5Mhs but now 485w at 14Mhs. 1.5Mhs for 85w  To be honest I might prefer 12.5 because at 400w I can run 2 off the same PSU. At 485 I can't.

from the read file for cgminer posted on their website (windoze version)

so: it appear as though you can set the clock speed, of course the setting are contengent on what setting the source code is setup to recognize. I'll be wanting the source code to complile for linux and I can take a look in the code to see if there are settings for 275, 250 etc....

but just try it.

=================================
execution  example:

cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://usa-1.liteguardian.com:3335 -u aaaa.256 -p x  --chips-count 256 --ltc-clk 300 -S //./COM4

===================================
execution option readme:

--ltc-debug
enable debug info output

--chips-count 16
16 chips in one COM port

--ltc-clk  250
clock 250M

--nocheck-golden
init with no Golden number check

--nocheck-scrypt
Don't check the miner's result.
Must set it on openwrt 703N version, as the scrypt.c calculates wrong on MIPS platform./

well - there'a a config file in the miner and I'm sure you can crank the HZ rate back down. Im going to give it whirl and test it. I'll run a some tests - hash rate vs power consumption. I pay 12.6 cents per Killowatt hr so I'll figure if there's reduced power consumption at slower hashing speeds and it's cost effect electric wise.

I've go a few left over 1,200 watt psu from my rigs so I'm set PSU wise for the two units I have coming.
