921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The World Without Bitcoin on: March 05, 2021, 08:13:14 PM
Bitcoin isn't a thing that a normal people will use let say average internet people do. And without bitcoin it would be just normal to them and most of people on earth as its not like a smartphone that could change and affect people's daily life.

While some industry will not exist, most .onion, gambling, porn website/service will still use paypal and mastercard today.
922  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Paano makakamura sa fees sa pag transfer ng BTC from Cryptotab browser? on: March 05, 2021, 03:50:34 AM
Just a heads up, simplehan natin, if gusto mo na talagang i'withdraw ang btc mo at walang manual/custom fee sa wallet na gamit mo.

Now if gusto mo namang medjo technical punta ka https://bitcoinfees.earn.com, at medjo scroll pababa, tingnan mo ang recommended fee sa "Which fee should I use?" pag maliit ang numbers na nakikita mo like~ 90 satoshis/byte
Quote
The fastest and cheapest transaction fee is currently 90 satoshis/byte, shown in green at the top.

923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie and very confused, please help. on: March 03, 2021, 11:57:49 PM
Please first you tell what do you mean ACR wallet. If you send you btc any other wallets without bitcoin. I think you lost your btc. But need to talk support team for back btc.
You should at least read all replies not just the op before posting.

Also, Coinbase is a very compliant exchange and it's in their terms that any transactions involved with gambling could have your account possibly seized (removed). So, You should possibly double check the "Terms & Agreements" for both parties, your poker club and for Coinbase, in order to be 100% sure your money wasn't jammed up.
Not the case, CB cannot detect if the receiving address came from a poker/casino or any gambling related websites in just seconds or minute(s), its said that the tx goes through and even got confirmed so its not the case here.

For now, op should wait the development updates of the team, it must be affected due to the site's cashier services is the ones affected.
924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The first response to satoshi's Bitcoin whitepaper on: March 03, 2021, 11:48:24 PM
Unless otherwise some guy who can either be Satoshi or a good samaritan will come over and take care of it, there's no stopping this problem.
There are lots of proposed solutions, lots of hardfork made to increase size yet many still uses bitcoin (1mb), now we used segwit to reduce much more transaction data (separate signatures in transaction data), and there you called lightning which is still considered in early development yet very useful already.

So we don't need satoshi anymore, current core developers, community consensus and other new ideas is the only way to take over such problem.
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: As being a miner, what can i do when the Eth is falling on: March 02, 2021, 07:41:10 PM
Do you have already in mind? Lots of recommendations and suggestions above  if you can answer those questions then I guess if time to do your part.

If you can sustain and maintain your cost with mining like electricity cost, its okay to hold your eth and wait another 2k or something higher.

But if not, then 50:50 ration is fine, withdraw 50% and pay your fees/cost everything then invest and hold the other 50.
926  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Title: Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas at ang Cryptocurrency on: March 02, 2021, 06:07:24 PM
These figures ay galing lamang sa mga regulated exchanges, so how much more if isali na yung mga non-custodial wallets but that's not possible as of the moment.

We also anticipate a continued increase in the adoption of virtual currencies in the payments and remittances sphere, as well as in the delivery of other financial services. This follows from an observed growth in virtual currency business activities from BSP-registered exchanges in the past few years,”
Good approach sa finance department ng bansa and expect this will be another chapter ng "another tax na naman" but sana nga enough na yung fees na kuha ng coins and other custodial wallets or taxes na nakukuha nila sa mga regulated exchanges dito sa bansa.
927  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC/USD Bullish: $51,400 will be the First Rebounce Target in Next 2 Days on: March 02, 2021, 05:47:42 PM
Today's peak was $50k and probably $51k isn't too far to reach though, so expect at least a $3k increase just like today, and yes $3k bounce is pretty normal in the next 2 days.
928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥Globedx Exchange Bounty Campaign🔥💰$5k - Payment will be send every week 💰 on: March 02, 2021, 05:35:05 PM
First 30 participants have been paid so far for the 2nd batch of payment as we encounter some errors upon sending the remaining participants. We will send the remaining once we can fix the error in our wallet. Thank you for understanding.

930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance USDT TRC20 has been changed from 0 to 0.20 USDT on: February 28, 2021, 06:27:08 PM
I don't even like this protectionist policy in favor of its coins and its blockchain that binance is recently adopting, why put fees on the withdraws of other stablecoins and not on his own?
But its effective, look how their coins reach the top 10 on cmc and ofc, its a way to promote to its users to use more of their projects which has uses, lesser fees and no network congestion as of now, and I see nothing wrong about that.

The fees on usdt omni, erc20, trc20 is obviously because the congestion of its network and it should be adjusted so that it will be confirmed right away, but I cant argue that the fee seems so high for normal traders though. While BSC does not affect the congestions even though it reaches more transactions than the eth, so having zero fees is normal and its a win-win offer for their users to use it.

then the block a few days ago of the withdraw of eth and of the erc 20 tokens for more than an hour without warning?
You must follow binance and cz's twitter handle, all updates including the disabled withdrawal are posted there, mainly for the reason to minimize the eth network congestion. Its just few hours though and didnt affect much its users anyway.
931  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Be Aware]: Fake bitcoin.org on: February 28, 2021, 04:06:54 PM
We need to report this. This is very dangerous. I know that many Bitcoin Core now use it to store BTC.
I reported already the site on its registrar (namecheap) after seeing this thread, hope they eventually act on the report and take proper actions. Don't worry I'm into this, people here should be the ones to act to report such sites.
932  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Hardware Wallets banned in India?! on: February 28, 2021, 03:55:17 PM
1. They can still buy them from official retailer shops located in their country.

For Ledger, Trezor, Coldcard, Coolwallet, Safepal and other hardware wallets you can use:
- Esolvify Solutions LLP
- Etherbit Private Limited
 -Evyune
The thing that I didn't understand, you mean that they banned Bitcoin Hardware Wallet and their customs didn't allow to import HW in India but they had a local official retailer shop that you can purchase Hardware Wallet right?  So, how these merchants got a Hardware Wallet bringing inside their country?
The news and regulation is just recent (just this month), if these retailers have enough stocks ordered before the implementation of this regulation, then it's okay to say and recommend buying HW from these stores but that won't last long.

Alternatives and using desktop wallets are the most recommended one, worst india's ISP restricted bitcoin/crypto related websites and etc.
933  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo Wallet on: February 28, 2021, 02:07:09 PM
Can someone tell me that xapo is currently only available as an app? There used to be a website when I used this, but now I cannot see an opportunity to log in to this website
This is what can be seen on their website, and hope it answer your question.

Why can’t I access the web application?

We’re giving our undivided focus to bringing you this new, revamped Xapo. While we remodel our current service to fit this new vision, we’ve had to temporarily stop access to the web app; however you can still access your account through the mobile app. Please note: If you need to change your email address, please contact us at support@xapo.com.
934  Economy / Exchanges / Re: YOBIT STOLE MY TOKENS on: February 28, 2021, 01:45:01 PM
When I tried to log in, my 2FA didnt work. I got in touch with "support" but they just say they dont help with this anymore because they have been hacked a few times and no longer offer assisttance in getting back into your account if your 2FA doesnt work...what the hell?
Even I knew them as the worst exchange, I didn't expect to hear such answer for a problem like that, there would be a reset button on their admin side for such incident (lost 2fa).

Being hacked before isn't the case here and should not be the reason of them for not be able to help their user, this exchange really the worst lmao.

Be this mistake serve you a lesson to learn, if you think the token/alts you have only listed on this kind of exchange, I suggest you to trade them to btc/usdt or any coins available on other trusted exchange eventually and withdraw them for good.
935  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Be Aware]: Fake bitcoin.org on: February 28, 2021, 01:30:28 PM
there is already on google ads, just type bitcoin core into google search box then you will find much of them.
Unfortunately, they won't show any of my google searches due to an ad blocker. Thanks for pointing out, anyway.
936  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Be Aware]: Fake bitcoin.org on: February 28, 2021, 11:27:40 AM
Where did you've seen this, it's very rare to see that bitcoin.org has a phishing website, where there's nothing this website can offer other than verifiable information though I would be cautiously accessing the website, it might have malware or anything, bad actors to your device.
937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance USDT TRC20 has been changed from 0 to 0.20 USDT on: February 28, 2021, 09:23:57 AM
Last time 2 weeks ago (I guess) I used to withdraw usdt trc20 and it cost nothing.

Worst erc20 and omni cost 20 USDT for withdrawal fee now and 1 USDT for trc20 while 0 fees for BSC.

So this conclude that binance wants its users to use binance related coins/project for them to have discounts, lesser withdrawal/trading fees and etc. Its too eliminate all their competitors slowly, and that's a good tactic which obviously they will do.
938  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: https://freebitco.in SCAM Alert on: February 28, 2021, 08:06:34 AM
Op is likely got scammed because he was visited phising link of freebitco.in
[...]
Code:
freebitco.ini

Case closed OP, real freebitco.in real site won't do anything with your balance. They even opened an annual saving with %annual interest, so i don' believe with OP
This might be a typo, afaik there's no .ini domain extension. Checked whois nothing is showing.
939  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: freebitco.ini SCAM Alert on: February 28, 2021, 07:49:50 AM
After moving this thread to Scam accusation board, you can try to PM TheQuin to report your issue, he's one of the active support of freeitco.in in this forum.
940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Block chain "cleanliness" analytics on: February 28, 2021, 02:30:07 AM
do peer to peer exchanges check for tainted coins?  thinking yes since they take some of the coins as payment for providing trusted market place.........??
For KYC'ed exchanges with P2P, probably yes, such binance and idk if LBC do. But those decentralized won't ofc.

For your question, it will be possible if the seller will give you details where the funds came from such the wallet address(es) so you can check it by some chain analytics but don't expect its free as I know most services like this are paid.
