981  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-11-15 - Make a Fortune with ASRock's Latest Mining Machines: H81 Pro BTC & on: November 15, 2013, 09:55:56 PM
Asrock is a little late, I wish these boards were available way back in 2011 when GPU mining was the craze.
AMD had recognized 7970 for mining needs in 2012.

I don't know.  China is appearing smarter than the US lately in the fact that they are buying more and more BTC. Also, all the Asian kids I knew growing up were pretty smart and from what I have observed Asians really like money so I would not underestimate them. Wink
+1
you dont' get to mess with anyone of Asian descent for long that includes Chinese, Indians, Japanese. They are much older civilization than us westerners and they know many more tricks in the book, and mostly are smart and intuitive as hell.

When will Africa, India start catching up?
It's a shame that India is way behind esp. in mining and adoption.

Dave, any chance we can get an update soon?  The price of BTC is making the natives restless.  We have bitcoin burning holes in our pockets and we want to throw them at you!   Grin

Credit card processing will make it even better Smiley
993  Economy / Service Discussion / Coinbase withdrawal delays thread [Please add ACH delay reports to this thread] on: November 13, 2013, 08:19:17 PM
Looks like coinbase ACH withdrawals are getting delayed. I have a few transactions set for today from BTC sales last week, which have not arrived to be bank acct. Waiting for one more day before contacting support.

can someone explain the concept of the Banks and how they apply to v2.2 H boards and v3 M boards?

Dave said that the Banks are obsolete and that the H boards are just numbered 0-9, A-F.  however, on 3 of my M boards i have one entire bank at zero; 2 Bank 1's, and 1 Bank 4.  there must be some relationship btwn the 4 adjacent cards in those Banks.

any suggestions to revive those Banks?

Even v3 M-boards have 4 banks of 4 slots each.

Try reseating cards, or rotate the 4 cards within a bank.

If you think the problem is related to VRM thermal/current overload, try disabling a chip or two on each card, or turn down the voltage with the trimpots.

i have heatsinks and multiple fans so hopefully it isn't thermal.

i know the GUI shows 4 banks but do they have a function?  Dave did say they didn't mean anything.

Can you please post a screenshot of your bitfury webpage? Can you enable remote login to your rig for a few mins?

Since Bank1 and 2 are kaput, You will have to

a) Unplug all but first card from Bank 1 and Bank 2
b) Check if the cards on Bank 1 and  Bank 2 are mining
c) Add one more card to each Bank
d) Repeat b through c

what's the recommended procedure for doing this as in "stop miner" or "shut down completely" or "power off" before adding another card?

a) stop miner
b) shutdown -h now
c) power off PSU
d) PS no hot-swapping Wink

forget everything else and remember this. Try to follow and at least explore every opportunity you're given. Whether that be college or Bitcoin, traveling the world or with love. Every opportunity. An entrepreneur finds opportunities where others don't and/or won't.

This is what life is for.

Good one man.
996  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Internet bandwidth requirements for ASIC's on: November 13, 2013, 03:27:46 AM
Here's a thread that explains your question in reference to the stratum protocol.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=108533.msg1180029#msg1180029

It really depends on what difficulty share you are mining and your hashing speed. High difficulty and low hashing speeds are most bandwidth friendly.
997  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 1 BTC whoever gets this Bitfury Unit up and Running on: November 13, 2013, 03:26:45 AM
I haven't been this close to throwing my laptop in a long time. I have to much money invested here to not have it up and running. You'd think there'd be verified operational SD images we could download along with an up to date how to guide.
Can you paste the webpage from the miner?
Can you enable remote login for few mins?

Thanks
