981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying house with fake tokens on: August 14, 2022, 02:43:29 PM
~
I read in the local news that a person bought several houses with fake tokens. He has defrauded more than 1.2 million dollars and now, house owners have a worthless fake token.
I am not sure, how is this even possible, if anyone is willing to purchase a property using cryptocurrency the seller should know about the cryptocurrency market and why would they accept transaction for fake tokens. Even if they know about the cryptocurrency market, they would never accept the tokens for huge amounts on a logical sense and how could anyone get fooled like that  Huh Roll Eyes.
982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many ancient anonymous whales are there? on: August 14, 2022, 07:38:25 AM
Like people who explicitly bought or mined bitcoin with literally zero KYC back in the day when it was easy to do that. And are now moving the markets buying and selling. Is that still a thing or not?

Or have pretty much all of the ancient whales touched an exchange or cashed out?
It depends upon individual users and the time they sold their coins and through which medium, if you are planning to sell huge number of coins now a days, you need to verify your KYC with a centralized authority to carry on with the transaction now a days, but if you are planning to sell small amounts you can use DEX to trade without worrying about verifying anything. Things are changing with time and in the future we might be forced to carry on verification even for small amounts.

Cruz was lights out but he did something that I didn't expect. He started aggressively and gave Vera a hard time in the early rounds.
But just one big shot was needed and it's all over. Good game.
I was rooting for Dominick Cruz to win the fight because of his experience but with age your chin will be weak and one shot was more than enough to seal the fight, with all the injures he sustained in his career Dominick Cruz needs to retire and focus on commentary which he is doing great.

Another upset was Nate Landwehr winning the fight against the heavy favorite David Onama, seen many big bets being waged on him but he lost by decision and a good fight plan by Nate.

Two strange decisions considering the total strikes landed and significant strikes landed were Cynthia Calvillo Vs Nina Nunes and Angela Hill Vs Lupita Godinez. Need to watch these two fights once more.
984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: August 13, 2022, 10:36:06 PM
Frenkie de Jong doesn't seem to be in the starting eleven indeed. In fact, Xavi made a new statement like he would like to see him staying here but they still didn't know what would happen until the end of the transfer window. Maybe this ambiguity played some role in this. Anyway it is still very good to see that trio in the attacking line. They are all very deadly players in terms of productivity. I expect them to perform solid.
Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Andreas Christensen made their debut for the club and it is good to see that the team is trying to build up the team right from the start of the season and unfortunately for the punters the scorecard did not move as it was an uneventful match and ended up being a goalless match. Will see how they will perform later in the tournament against quality opponents  Cheesy.

Manchester United really devastated presently after conceding 4 goals in the first half against the home team Brentford. United boss should try to give confidence to his players as most of them are making punishable errors on the pitch like Maguire,Eriksen and David De Gea. The second half kick off and I think united might record a goal in the second half. Truely, Brentford are so happy to make a heavy win against the red devils. Let's wait for the outcome of the second half, either united can a record a goal or allow Brentford to net more goals.
If you make errors after errors every 5 to 10 mins you cannot expect a different result than today. Manchester United is playing like school kids, passes are not accurate, their defense is sub par and if you present chances any team would score goals in high numbers.

They need to let go of CR7, looks like he is not at all happy with the team as rarely he gets to touch the ball.
986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 12, 2022, 08:59:36 PM
The second match between New Zealand and West Indies gave New Zealand a huge collection of 216 runs. Despite having a record of winning many matches with such a huge target, the current West Indies are much weaker than before. So it seems not possible to win the match by targeting 216 runs. But cricket is a gloriously uncertain game, so nothing can be said definitively here.
West Indies is struggling, with a team that struggled against teams like India and Bangladesh even though they were not playing with their best team, it is not a big surprise that they are struggling against New Zealand who is preparing for the upcoming World Cup as they are playing with their best players and now West Indies is struggling at 28 for 5 and it is a matter of time the rest of the wickets will fall  Grin.
987  Economy / Economics / Re: EU countries agree deal to cut use of gas this winter on: August 12, 2022, 07:13:31 PM
~
Here in India, the government is absorbing most of the price increase, so the common people are yet to feel the full impact.

At this point, gasoline costs around $1.25 per liter. Previously taxes used to be 60% of the total price, but now it has been reduced to around 35%. Government revenues are down, but they don't have any other choice.
The way things are in India is that the government says that the price are not controlled by them and that is the narrative they said when crude oil prices were trading well below $40 and no one got the benefit as the common people were still paying higher prices due to exorbitant taxation imposed upon them and now you think that government is absorbing the price and the common people are yet to feel the full impact, what a joke.

Wait for the Gujrat elections to get over and it will be back to normal with price rising on a daily basis Tongue.

@OP EU countries agreeing to cut the use of gas this winter, which means industries will be hit hard and household will be as well which will be really bad.

Bangladesh Cricket Board is richer than New Zealand, West Indies and even South Africa cricket board. Even so, their performance is much weaker than these three teams. Even now they are losing badly against teams like Zimbabwe. Despite having a lot of money, the board is not taking any effective steps for the development of cricket or the development of the players. Even after the players enjoy huge salaries and perks, they cannot perform as expected
Bangladesh is developing as a cricketing nation and money alone does not produce exceptional talents  Tongue. They have their Bangladesh Cricket League and hopefully they will be finding players of quality like Shakib Al Hasan, but it is a long process of grooming young talents.

~
To be honest, it is not the problem for ICC. First of all, Zimbabwe receives around 60x in ICC funds when compared to some of the more promising teams such as Nepal and Kenya. Even after receiving so much funds, if the Zimbabwean board can't find a sponsor, then it is their issue. I am against the idea of pouring even more funds in to the Zimbabwean black hole. And I never thought that availability of funds are one of the major issues with Zimbabwe. Their major issues are political interference and corruption in the board.
ICC funds and sponsorship has nothing to do with each other Cheesy, you need to attract a company to invest in them and it depends about the reach the cricket team gets in Zimbabwe and if a company thinks that they can attract more people by sponsoring their Cricket team, they would have already done that.
989  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for August on: August 11, 2022, 07:02:41 PM

With BTC finishing up in the green for the month of July, I'm pretty sure a lot of you guys are somewhat bullish now.  And rightly so.  I kinda am too.  But here's the thing..  Do you guys think the momentum will continue enough for August and for BTC to form higher lows?
The market started rallying right after the Consumer Price Index results were announced and i was expecting the market to go the opposite direction as i did not expect the inflation to be slowing down, but that is the results and the market responded to that news and immediately started moving up, not sure whether it will sustain, will see how it goes.
990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 09, 2022, 09:58:38 PM
Ireland got a great win in the first match. It was an incredible victory. Afghanistan lost even after giving a target of 169 runs. Openers Stirling and Balbirnie scored 31 and 51 respectively. Tucker was dismissed after collecting 50 runs. And finally, Tector scored 25 off 15 balls and Dockrell scored 10 runs off 5 balls to give Ireland victory. All of Ireland's batsmen were outstanding. If Afghanistan's bowlers fail to improve their performance then Afghanistan will lose this series.
It was a really close match even though the scoreboard looks like Ireland won with plenty of wickets in hand, in the last over, there was a missed fielding when one of the fielder dived to save them but instead dragged the ball over the boundary and if that one was saved, the results might be different. Good to see that Ireland winning a match after getting close to a win in many matches but ended up loosing.

Mohammed Usman did my accumulator in. I underestimated him after watching him on the The Ultimate Fighter. I know I didn't put out any predictions, but I hopefully will be back in full swing come next event, and hopefully have a few good winners. I believe Lean Edwards against Usman is coming up too, which I'm excited for, although I do think Usman takes it, I might put a speculative bet on Edwards just for the fun of it.
Mohammed Usman messed up many bets along with Vicente Luque and even though Mohammed Usman is the brother of Kamaru Usman, he was not known to be a great fighter but under the bright lights he made his name which is incredible.

Leon Edwards has the real opportunity to score an upset when they fight for the title because Usman was rocked badly by Gilbert Burns, Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal and i consider Leon Edwards as a superior striker than the rest he faced and Usman is coming after a hand surgery, so who knows what will happen  Wink.

In last world cup too India had this Wicket keeper fetish (KL rahul, Pant and DK)
KL Rahul should be in the team as he was in great form in the IPL and yet he did not get a place in this team.

The kind of dominance Australian women team have in Women's cricket, it scares me really. They are miles ahead of Indian Women team, we all would love to witness some upset but it would be fool's errand against the aussie.
I am watching the final and India Woman's fielding was simply outstanding and the couple of catches were one of the best i have seen in Women's cricket. Set a target of 162 to win the Gold by Australia, but it is going to be a difficult chase as India lost both the openers.

One interesting thing i saw is that, Tahlia McGrath tested positive for COVID and she was allowed to play the match. How soon things are changing when you are COVID positive and yet i am living in a place where mask is compulsory even when you are travelling in car Cheesy.

and obviously, the number of teams playing cricket right now is going to increase and that is exactly what the big 4 fear
FYI there are 94 Associate Members and 12 Full Members under ICC, which means 106 countries are playing cricket. Unless the quality of Cricket increases they wont be getting a full membership.

~
cricket was first played in the Olympics in the year 1900 if i am not wrong, cricket is not part of the Olympics since the ICC has never submitted an application to the Olympics committee to include cricket

a big part of that is the big four, they do not want to lose their authority, they know very well that if cricket is included in the Olympics there will be a lot more teams playing cricket, it is very easy for them to lose their authority at that time
This is another lie, Olympic committee was not ready to accept Cricket because the length of the matches and the other hassles of organizing the matches during the Olympics was the reason why Cricket was not included in Olympics after 1900. If you really think that the associate countries can create the revenue, why not now and waiting for them to be included in the Olympics Tongue.
994  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: August 07, 2022, 12:07:54 PM
why chipmixer representative didnt tell anything here?Huh is chipmixer closing
It is better not to speculate about shutting down, if that is the case they would inform the community regarding that. For the past week they were under heavy DDOS attack and hopefully that is the situation now as well. Wait for them to mitigate the situation and they will update the community on the situation.

~
I am a new ChipMixer user.  I spent 3-4 days testing with trivial amounts of BTC.  When I was satisfied that the service worked exactly as documented, I started to move much larger amount of BTC through.
Regarding the reputation, they are active from 2017.

@Lucius mentioned about the TOR DDOS attack and most probably that is the case.

If they are not able to beat a team like Zimbabwe without the experienced players of the Bangladesh team, where is the Bangladesh team going from here in the future? This was a winnable match for Bangladesh which they lost.
The pitch might not the assisting spin like the West Indies series and so is the reason Bangladesh was not able to continue with the bowling performance like they did against West Indies. Couple of good overs in the death could have changed the match.

~
I blame the Bangladesh team's batting performance the most for the loss of the Bangladesh team yesterday. How players like Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das bowled so many balls to score only 62(88) runs and 81(89) runs respectively.Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das are the batting duo most responsible for Bangladesh's loss.
Tamim Iqbal gave a flying start in today's match and the run rate was above 6, but now the run rate is going down considerably and all of the top order players got their starts but failed to convert them into big innings yet and they need to score over 6 runs to reach a good total, if not the same result like the first one.

Indian batsmen and bowlers have made this an easy win. Bhuvanesh Kumar haven't got a wicket. In most of the matches he's the one to make the initial break. Axar Patel managed to take 2 wickets, but he have allowed 48 runs in 4 overs. Arshdeep Singh have mastered taking 3 wickets with the economy of 3.79
Axar Patel is batting really well but he needs to focus on his bowling to be a permanent stay in the team as it is hard to get a spot in this team as the level of competition in the team is getting tougher. Arshdeep Singh was hitting the Yorkers with ease and he along with Avesh Khan bowled really well.

I was surprised to see India playing 3 wicket keepers in the match, Dinesh Karthik has a spot in the team as the finisher and Rishabh Pant will be the main wicketkeeper if he is able to keep up his form and Sanju Samson is the floating wicketkeeper and if he can be consistent he should get a spot in the team as he can clear the boundaries with ease.

India Women reached the finals along with Australia in the Common Wealth games, Australia is the strong favorites and it is highly unlikely we will see an upset, India's performance against England was great especially Smriti Mandhana.
997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu Long-Term Holders Are Increasing as Investors Shift Focus on: August 06, 2022, 10:58:22 PM
Omg thats why iam still holding shiba inu for the long long time. I trust the process and believe soon it will be like doge that hit 0.32usd price. Thats why iam still holding it soon shib will be like doge hold hold.
If you are expecting Shiba Inu to rally once again and that too just like Dogecoin did, then you need to find someone like an influencer who could help in rallying the token. Elon Musk is the sole reason for the Dogecoin rally and it is hard to image that you would see something like that in the future in the meme market. Nothing wrong in being optimistic Wink.
998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POLYGON’S MATIC or Solana on: August 06, 2022, 10:07:59 PM
Both are good but I prefer Solana.
From my opinion, I think Solana is more promising. The popularity of Solana Blockchain is increasing day by day.
The presence of Solana Blockchain in some of the best projects is growing significantly.
With the recent wallet hack it was evident that Solana is getting more popular with hackers as well as around 8000 wallets were hacked and millions lost. This added with their recurring network issues they had a few months back, i doubt how they are going to instill the confidence in the investors and new projects on how they can deliver when more issues are popping up every now and then  Wink.
999  Economy / Speculation / Re: Skybridge Prediction on Bitcoin on: August 06, 2022, 09:17:28 PM

August 5th, 2022, Skybridge investment firm estimated on Bitcoin bull market at $40K and Ethereum as $2,800. Anthony Scaramucci who is also part of the managing team made the statement on interview on Marketwatch. He made it clear that the bear market of bitcoin as gone so the next terget of the the market on the bull statistic is 40k.
Speculation and more predictions will be coming up when you see a hint of green in the market and that is nothing new, if anyone here is expecting the market to follow these predictions and then place a call in the option market, you will have more baggage. I am not expecting the market to touch $40k this year with the way things are moving globally.
1000  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1 Billion Bitcoin users by 2024 is possible with increased access to electricity on: August 06, 2022, 08:14:58 PM
~
The economies of developing nations might be very insignificant when compared with developed nations but it can have a positive impact on the Bitcoin space. And this can be achieved if developing nations have access to electricity. Seeking cheap alternative and innovative means of power such as solar powered phones and computers can be a good starting point. Instead of buying an entire solar system which includes batteries, inverter, panel, etc, an affordable phone or laptop with inbuilt solar system would be ideal. These developing nations might no have the financial power, but they have the population.
Even if people starts using solar power to charge their phones and Laptops, what about the connectivity, how they are going to solve that. Since you mentioned that there are places where there is no electricity which means they are not connected to globally. First the government has to think about the infrastructure and then we can think about people using solar power to charge their gadgets Wink.
