441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 11, 2023, 12:35:25 AM
PSG had plenty of chances to take the lead against Bayern Munich, which actually didn't play well at all. De Ligt's role was especially important, he removed a ball on the line. Otherwise it would have become 0-1 and then you get a completely different game. Then PSG would have really had a great chance to progress. It was of course the cracker of the eighth finals, and the fact is that PSG again failed to win the CL. Would players still want to stay? You have stars in this team but no star team. Real Madrid could also go far, but the draw is after the next round next week.

I agree that Bayern Munich was not as dominate as the end result may suggest but i also don't think that PSG really had plenty of chances to take the lead. They maybe had 2 chances to score in the first half and the biggest one of those was after that huge mistake of Bayerns goalkeeper but, as you already said, De Ligt saved the ball from the line.
In the second half though Bayern was the better team and if we are looking at both games, then i think it was completely deserved that Bayern Munich advanced into the next round.

This is another huge blow for Paris Saint Germain and i think it is possible that this is the end of that big star team. Messi does not want to stay, Mbappe also wants to leave probably and PSG already wanted to sell Neymar before the start of this season.
442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 10, 2023, 02:30:49 PM
Bayern and Dortmund are creating an interesting race to the trophy and with opposite results in Champions League, they will have different aims in rest of season. Both of them want to win Bundesliga but Bayern also want to win Champions League while Dortmund only have Bundesliga. It can help Dortmund to have an advantage against Bayern Munich if they can convert their focus to good result in Bundesliga.

I don't really think that Dortmund now has an advantage over Bayern Munich in the race for the Bundesliga title just because the BVB is now eliminated from the Champions League. Yes this means that they can concentrate more on the Bundesliga now but first of all this is still a pretty bad thing. I also think that the momentum for Dortmund can change now. They have won 11 games in a row before the second leg against Chelsea but in those 11 games they were not the better team at least 5 times and still have won. This luck ran out in the second leg against Chelsea. If this continues then i can totally imagine, that Dortmund will have a few losses and draws in the remaining Bundesliga matches.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: reasons why someone wants to pay in tether and not bitcoin? on: March 10, 2023, 02:23:53 PM
What could be the reason for someone wanting to pay in Tether and not bitcoin?
my understanding is that using bitcoin, you will not have to worry about your crypto being frozen.
Could there be any reason for tether being advantageous in such transaction?

If i had the choice to choose between Bitcoin and USDT or any other stablecoin out there to pay for something then i would also choose to pay with stablecoins to be honest. For me Bitcoin nowadays is not really a normal currency to pay your daily stuff anymore because it just has become way to rare and valuable. Now for me bitcoin is an investment asset just like gold, that you buy and hodl in order to make some profit with it in the future. So if you pay your 100$ bill with Bitcoin now it is very much possible that the amount of Bitcoin, that you have spent to pay this bill is worth 500$ in a few years. Of course the other way around is also possible.
444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 09, 2023, 10:04:12 PM
Winning trophies with Spurs have been a big dream for Tottenham and Harry Kane has spent many years with Spurs with high hopes of winning trophies. I think Harry Kane should consider Manchester United’s offer if he wants to win trophies because Tottenham are still not in a place to say they can win trophies not even in the next season.

Harry Kane is turning 30 this summer so i think if he wants to make a move to leave Tottenham, then it has to be after this season. Now that it is clear, that he will be without a title yet again with Tottenham i think it is very likely, that he is trying to go to another club now, where his chances of winning a big title are higher. I am not sure but i also think that Kane possibly does not want to go to another club within the English Premier League, because Tottenham will always be his club and he does not want to play for a direct competitor of the spurs.
Maybe Bayern Munich is really trying to get Harry Kane in this summer. It could be a good move for every party involved, if Kane is not to expensive.
445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is launching a new project during bear market a good idea?? 🤔 on: March 09, 2023, 09:58:29 PM
FireDAO is a social DAO project based on PID and FID soul-bound accounts, and it's initiated and established by the RainbowCity Foundation. I'm one of the project team member and would like to gather more ideas from everyone in Bitcointalk forum.
I've seen alot of projects did so well during the bull market, but now I'm wondering is bear market will affect the progress of a new project...

On one hand i would say, that if your project is really good with a real use case and so on, then i think it would do fine even in a bear market, but to be honest i am not to sure if that really is true. I think the crypto market is still 90% based around hype alone. During a bull market even the biggest shit projects are pumping while in a bear market even good projects can have a really hard time to survive.
So i think it would definitely make sense for you are and your partners to postpone the launch of your project a bit. At least until the heavy dumping is over and the market seems to be at least a little more stable. I wanted to take part in a public sale of a project today and they also postponed it because of the overall market conditions.
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your opinion on the future of Decentralised exchanges on: March 09, 2023, 05:24:35 PM
Will decentralised exchanges get more attention now that FTX secrets is all out? Will people now trust decentralised exchanges more than centralised exchanges? Cos the only thing still standing tall right now is Binance, I believe this is the only CEX people still give full face 😂  but it seems like Uniswap and Pancake will take the lead in near future?

I think, that decentralized exchanges definitely have a bright future and are here to stay. I also think though that centralized exchanges also still have their right to exist and that there will always be centralized exchanges out there and that is not a bad thing. Of course a CEX has the big disadvantage, that a user is not in control of his funds anymore as soon as his money is sent to the CEX wallet, because he is not having the private key to that wallet obviously. So there is a fair bit of trust needed to let your funds on a centralized exchange because there have been hacks and also scams in the past that led to big losses of funds that were stored on a CEX.
447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 09, 2023, 05:19:50 PM
Every season is the same for PSG ,they do well in the group stage and once they step into the knockout faze they get knocked out fast and easy. Too many superstars in team especially in attack and that means less running so easier to concede a goal. PSG needs a new approach.

I have said this a lot of times before but if you are having players like Messi, Neymar and Mbappe all in the same team, then it is not really a thing that is totally positive in every respect. If those 3 players are playing at the same time, then this basically means, that your team probably has the strongest offense of all teams in the world, but in the same time this also means, that you have 3 players on the pitch, that are doing absolutely nothing to support the defense. I think this is just to much and can not be compensated anymore in modern football. Also i have to say, that the squad of PSG, bedides those 3 superstars is not really that great.
448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 08, 2023, 10:02:00 PM
It's kinda over for PSG at the game is only 10 minutes away from final whistle and Bayern makes a well deserved qualify and most likely the big contender of winning UCL for this year.

Bayern won it with 2-0 in the end and over the course of the two games i think it is fair to say that Bayern definitely deserved to advance into the next round. Of course it was not as easy for Bayern as the final result may suggest because Paris had a few good chances to go in front in the first half, but one time Messi was stopped and the second time De Ligt was able to save the ball closely before the goal line, after that huge mistake by Sommer. After Bayern scored the first goal it was a totally different game of course. Paris needed two goals then and therefore they have risked almost everything and therefore they received another goal.

Overall another disappointing season for Paris and it just proves again that money can not buy success.
449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which cryptocurrency do you prefer the most to accept payments in? on: March 08, 2023, 09:39:20 PM
There are more than 12000 cryptocurrencies like bitcoin, altcoin, litecoin, dogecoin, etherium and so on. We all have our favorite cryptocurrency. Among all of these, which cryptocurrency do you trust and prefer the most to accept payments? Share your thoughts about it.

Well sadly i don't own a business or something like that so i don't really get any payments from customers. If i would have a business though, then i would definitely go for the safest and the most stable cryptocurrencies out there. So obviously this would be the stablecoins USDT, USDC and also BUSD i would say. Apart from the stable coins, i would probably also accept Bitcoin.
Accepting Bitcoins or other non-stablecoin cryptos can also be dangerous though i think. If you have a business then you probably a big part of those payments that you receive to pay for the expenses of your business and if the price of Bitcoin for example is going down like 10% during that time, then you already have made a loss and maybe you can not even pay your bills anymore.

You know that the contract of Lionel Messi's with PSG is going to end at the end of this season. So it is very possible for Barcelona to get Lionel Messi for basically free. But will Barcelona be able to afford the salary of Lionel Messi?
Lionel Messi is still playing very well. So it is very understandable if he demands a good amount of salary. But I will not be surprised if Lionel Messi does take a pay cut just to play for Barcelona. After all, it was supposed to be the club which was going to make him a one club player.

I am almost 100% sure, that Messi will not return to FC Barcelona. First of all, no Barcelona can not afford to pay the salary for Lionel Messi. That was the reason why he left Barca in the first place. Barca has more than 1,3 Billion € worth of debts and there is no way they can afford to meet Messis salary demands.
I also don't think that Messi would be willing to take a significant pay cut, just to play for FC Barcelona again. If money is not important to him, then he could have stayed at Barca becaues he did not have to leave. He wanted to earn very big money though and that is why he went to Paris. I think he will stay at PSG or he will go for the huge money like CR7 did.
451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which project according to you is solving real world issues? on: March 08, 2023, 06:24:54 PM
I find happiness whenever I see a project meant to solve world issues as Bitcoin did and has been doing. I have been tracking the progress of a few projects but I am not happy with the outcome for now. Maybe in the future, they might gear up and prove they are worthy of investment.
Which one do you think is good enough for 2-3 years of investment and for a short-term return on investment? If you have any other in your mind then do list them with your reason for investing. Please do give me an ROI timeframe.
Thanks in advance.

I have not heard of any of the project that you have listed to be completely honest so i can not really tell you if those projects are really good for a longterm investment or not. I think though that just because a crypto project is trying to solve a real issue or is trying to be a green project and therefore good for the environment does not automatically mean, that it is successful. A few years back a project called Energi was pretty popular for a while. There appraoch was to be environmetally friendly because they were full PoS and they also had Masternodes. Nowadays though the project is not really successful anymore and the price is only going down.

If you want to pick a project that is relatively safe to hold for a few years, then i would look for bigger and already established project. I recently bought Cosmos and now i am looking into buying NEAR because the price per coin is now below 2$ again.
452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 07, 2023, 11:14:52 PM
It was easier for me to say that I expected Chelsea to perform well, and they did so by defeating Dortmund with a score of 2-0, so I'm not surprised that they won and advanced to the next round. From their first leg, I could tell that Chelsea played well and created some good opportunities, but they weren't just lucky with goals. Today, I used their first leg to make a prediction, and it turned out that they had more advantages over the other team in today's game at Stamford Bridge. They won their game tactically, and they won it well.

I felt exactly the same before the match started and i was surprised that apparently Borussia Dortmund was the favorite for most people to advance into the next round. As you already said, FC Chelsea was the better team in the first leg already, but they were just really unlucky and also inefficient with their chances. Today it started kind of similar with Havertz only hitting the inside of the post in the first half. I think that overall FC Chelsea was the better team if you look at both legs and therefore they have definitely deserved to go through.
That the penalty was repeated was still totally weird to me because it was the player of Chelsea who went into the box first, but anyway.
453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Doge coin. on: March 07, 2023, 11:09:47 PM
I have strange relationships with doge coins.
I like investing in altcoins and I believe that there are a lot of good projects that bitcoin maxis are ignoring. And you definitely can't say that altcoins are useless.
Do you still buy doge or other meme coins?

I have never bought any of those meme-coins and i will also never buy any of them because for me they are all useless shit-coins. In addition to that i would even say, that those stupid meme-coins were also a reason why we are having this bear market now for over a year now. Dogecoin pumped like crazy just because Elon Musk made a few funny tweets about it. That was the only reason. Then afterwards we were seeing a lot second generation meme-coins being created because of the Dogecoin pump.
Obviously Shiba Inu made a lot of early investors rich, everyone has to admit that, but that made the whole situation even worse. Now we had literally hundreds of new meme-coins appearing each and every day which definitely has hurt the market.
454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 07, 2023, 08:21:26 PM
Chelsea will lose this match full-time today because Dortmund is a strong team. Although Chelsea win their last match but l it's a bit complicated for them to win tonight's match

I personally think, that Dortmund will win today. Yes it is true, that Dortmund has won 11 games in a row so far in this year but if you have watched the games of Dortmund then it was pretty obvious, that they were really lucky to win a few of those games. In at least 4 or 5 matches of those 11 they were not the better team, but still somehow managed to win it. It was the same in the first leg against Chelsea because the blues had way more big chances to score back then but just were not efficient enough.
The game today is running for a few minutes now and so far Chelsea is completely dominant. If the game continues like that, then it is only a matter of time before Chelsea will score.
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how exchanges list news crypto tokens on: March 07, 2023, 08:18:53 PM

i want to know,
how do crypto exchanges list new tokens, what terms and condition or what type of document are needed to list a token .
i really doesn't know anything so may be the written terms may seem off the points

I can't really tell you what kind of documents are needed in order to get listed on a centralized exchange because i was never part of a crypto project before, but obviously there are a few factors that are really big advantages if you want to get listed on a exchange with your project. First of all some of the new upcoming projects have received investments from the exchanges itself f.e. from biance labs, kucoin labs or from coinbase for example. So with projects like that is almost certain that they will be listed on the exchange where they have received an investment from. I could imagine though that you have a really hard time to get listed on a big exchange if you are a new and small project without much volume.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question about token's price when a listing takes place on: March 05, 2023, 12:38:02 PM
Hi everyone,
There is something that I don't really understand.
Recently, a listing for a token took place on a CEX, and it had a starting price of 0.2$.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think that there were no tokens airdropped before this listing.
And that all the tokens were vested, so the only way to buy and sell the token was on the CEX where the listing took place.
And what surprises me is that right now, the token has lost around 20 %.

I think that you have just missed something here and that there definitely were some token unlocked already for certain types of investors or whatever. I mean that CEX also needed to get the tokens from somewhere to even have liquidity for a trading pair so it is impossible that all tokens are still vested. Also if you look at the tokenomics of most new projects, then usually a part of the tokens that private and even seed sale investors are getting are unlocked on the TGE (f.e. 10% or 25% of the total amount of tokens that they will get) and the rest has a vesting and will be slowly unlocked over time. The team behind the token usually has a cliff which means they don't get any tokens at all on the TGE. If that is not the case, then i would not invest into that project.
457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: March 05, 2023, 12:30:57 PM
Verstappen actually improved his lap time on his last try but still Leclerc could have had a chance to take the pole position anyway. I wonder what the problem was this time.
I hope that Ferrari won't deal with similar problems in this season also. Because Leclerc wasn't seeming very positive about the car. The car is really fast on straights but it is the opposite when it comes to corners. This can be a big problem for them to compete with Red Bull at the same level. Because even if Ferraris start ahead of Red Bulls, the Red Bull drivers can still catch up with them easily thanks to their high speed in turns. Leclerc won the first race in Bahrain last season and I wonder if he can repeat this.

I have to say, that i obviously not that much has changed in terms of performance level of the teams in comparison to last season. Red Bull still seems to be the strongest team closely followed by Ferrari just like it was during the whole last season. I am kinda surprised though, that Mercedes was not able to catch up more to those two teams because in the end of the last season they were close to being the strongest team again. Also the biggest surprise probably is the performance of Aston Martin. They already made pretty big announcements before the start of last season but then they totally disappointed. Now it seems they have finally found a way to improve.
458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need Suggestions About Investment in new projects on: March 04, 2023, 08:10:10 PM
Hello everyone, I want to ask that investing in new projects has worth or not because to many scams projects now a days and i am afraid of losing money.
I wanna invest in quizbox.finance and this project looks really amazing and unique. what you guys think about this.
I need suggestions,
Website: https://quizbox.finance/

I have never heard of that project before so i don't really know to much about it obviously but i just took a quick look at their website and i have to say, that i personally would definitely not invest into that project. First of all, as others already said, i don't really see where their tokens is needed or where the demand for the token would be created. That you get free tokens for doing the quiz is a fact that only will devaluate the token even more.

Also i see that their are listing Binance as their backers and i am 99% sure, that they are not really backed by Binance at all. Probably they are just using the BNB chain as their blockchain. So to say that Binance is a backer is a very shady move and that alone should be a big red flag to everyone.
459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 04, 2023, 07:59:39 PM
Dortmund beat Leipzig 2-1 in a difficult match.  Then Bayern Munich played with Stuttgart as far as I know and won 2-1.  Statistics in the match show that Stuttgart played very well in the match.  At least that's how they play against Bayern Munich can be considered a success.  They may have lost, at least they tried.  Dortmund and Bayern still have the same points.

Today Bayern managed to overtake Dortmund again with that win against Vfb Stuttgart. For 80 minutes or so it looked like a pretty easy and uncontested win for Bayern Munich but then Stuttgart scored the 1-2 pretty much completely out of nowhere and there were still like 8 minutes left to play at that point, so i was already thinking that Bayern would throw away a win, that felt completely certain over almost the whole match, again. It almost came that way again but the header of Coulibaly just missed the goal. Bayerns goal difference is way better in comparison to Borussia Dortmund so the BVB needs to overtake Bayern in terms of points if they want to be on the first place.
460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 04, 2023, 02:53:57 PM
Real Madrid are going on incredibly great in the Champions League. Their performance is much more impressive than they have in the La Liga now. That victory over Liverpool is really hard to forget. Because it was a really huge win in Anfield which I assume not many people would have expected such result. Ancelotti is like he is motivating the players specially for the Champions League right now.

The match against Liverpool really was an exceptional one and after Liverpool was up with 2-0 already i would have never thought that Real Madrid would be able to get back into the game again and still they even managed to win that match with a 3 goal difference in the end. That being said, this was only possible because Liverpool is just not in a great shape at the moment. After being 2-0 up they should have never let it happen that Real gets back so easily. For me Real is still not a big favorite to win the Champions League title this year. For me other clubs like Manchester City or Bayern Munich are just looking way stronger, but then again this was also the case last season.
