981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: September 27, 2022, 10:41:50 AM
This was a bizarre match. I can't remember seeing such a curious scoreline anywhere lately. If it is 0-0 at half time, you do not expect that the final score will eventually be 3-3. Actually, the chance was quite high that it would only be 1-1 or 0-0, for example. And that Germany also leads 0-2 and leads 3-3 within fifteen minutes is completely unimaginable, of course. fun for the spectators. Tonight we have Portugal Spain, I think that's the match most are looking forward to.

It was an absolutely weird game i agree and it was also extremely obvious that both of the teams are completely out of shape at the moment and that both of them don't have any confidence right now. I think England was better in the first half and would have deserved to score the lead there but Ter Stegen showed some good saves. Then in the second half Germany scored first and after that England seemed to be completely destroyed and Germany scored the 2-0 shortly after, but even then Germany was not able to get this 2-0 lead over the line and they brought England back into the game.

Also i have to say that the performance of Harry Maguire was one of the worst ones i have ever seen on that level. Not only did he make that big mistake and the foul that has caused the penalty for Germany. He also looked extremely slow and clumsy when having the ball in general. Like when he dribbled near the german box and lost the Ball and then it was 2-0. It really looked like he should play a few divisons lower. I have no idea how he could have ever had a market value of 70 M€ and now still has a value of 30 M€.
982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eth merge and fork on: September 27, 2022, 10:33:15 AM
"there were some Miners who  were forking ETH to keep a PoW version so that  they can continue mining".  i saw this on twitter and i don't understand this. Ethereum merge is done. could anyone explain me this which contains in quotation mark ?

A fork of a crypto coin is basically taking the codebase of an existing project and modifies it a little or even a lot and then you basically have a "new" crypto project that is independent from the original one even though it is maybe 99% identical with it. There are many forks in the crypto space. We already have Ethereum Classic for example, we have Bitcoin cash and many other forks.
That proof of work Ethereum fork was created by big miner because obviously they have lost a lot of potential profit with the switch of ETH to proof of stake. That is why they tried to introduce a version of Ethereum that is still proof of work, so they can continue to mine. It seems like that project is not doing so well though.
983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 25, 2022, 11:15:13 PM
Indeed, This season is very different from the previous. The dominance of Bayern is really declining, moreover during these matches. Bayern could play amazingly in UCL, but they couldn't perform optimally in the Bundesliga. So far, only Union Berlin can perform quite consistently among all clubs in Bundesliga.

Well at the moment the table of the Bundesliga is really looking very unfamiliar in comparison to the previous year. I would not go so far and say that the dominance of Bayern is declining already though. I mean of course they had 4 games in a row now where they did not win and they even lost the last one, but in all of those games they did not play that badly, they even played pretty good in most of them. They just were not able to score because they were so inefficient with their chances. I am pretty sure though that in a few weeks the table will look different again. Maybe Bayern will not already be on the first place again then, but they will definitely be ranked higher than they are now and pretty close to the first place.
If not, they probably have to sack Nagelsmann.
984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why have so many platforms delisted Polygon tokens? on: September 25, 2022, 11:09:39 PM
Due to low fees I used to keep stablecoins and some other tokens in the Polygon network, but in the past few days, most of the exchanges de listed these stablecoins or tokens on the Polygon network and only accept deposit and withdrawal to Ethereum network

Hmm. This news are completely new to me as i have never heard before that a lot of exchanges are delisting polygon based tokens or stablecoins. The only thing of that direction that i heard was a few weeks ago when Binance announced that they would delist USDC and i think also other stablecoins. This had nothing to do with the polygon chain though. This was just a move to make the people use BUSD more, because that is the stablecoin that is minted and controlled by Binance itself so they are just using their market power in order to push their own stablecoin.
I think everything is alright with polygon and you don't need to worry.
985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 24, 2022, 11:09:59 PM
I am with you on that, though i do not support any particular team in the Bundesliga, but i do not like it when one team dominates a league for too many years. Just like what happened in Italy, i was very happy when Juventus lost grips of the Italian seria a title, and now any team can win it, that is what i hope to happen in the Bundesliga from this season, now that bayern are not in their best rhythm, it is the right time for the other good teams around them to step up and challenge seriously for the title.

The reason why the winning streak of Juventus in the Serie A ended was because they have pretty high debts now of around 400 Million € because of covid and of course also because of mismanagement. That is why they had to sell players and can not buy really good new players. This made it possible for other Italian clubs to overtake Juventus.
This situation will not repeat itself in Germany though, at least not because of financials. Bayern Munich is still one of the healthiest clubs, if not the most healthiest in terms of financials in Europe. They bought great new players this season and sitll have more than 100 M€ laying around in the bank.
So the other German teams need to be beat a Bayern Team that has a very good squad and i doubt that Bayern will continue to miss that many great chances to score. They are not playing that badly, they are just to inefficient at the moment, but i am pretty sure this will change quickly.
986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A good news or a bad news on: September 24, 2022, 11:01:03 PM
I read online that A US court have ordered USDT owner Tether to disclose the reserves backing its stable coin, this is the largest Stable coin in crypto space presently and this doesn't sound like a good news to me, is this the great crypto collapse in play or I am just think way too much? This freaks me out.

Well i am also not sure what i should think about this. First of all i think it totally makes sense that the company behind USDT shows what those reserves are that they are talking about that are backing their USDT. As far as i know they changed the wording regarding the backing of USDT a few years ago from "We have enough money to back every USDT minted" to "We have enough reserves to back every USDT minted", but no one really knows in what form those reserves exist or if they exist at all.
If they don't have enough reserves and this becomes public then we will have a huge dump of the whole market. Way harder then the one we had when Terra blew up. I hope everything will be fine.
987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 24, 2022, 04:46:26 PM
It looks like FC Bayern is interested in signing Tottenham's Harry Kane. FC Bayern is said to have contacted the player and advised him to wait with a contract extension until Bayern has made an offer for him. After the departure of Robert Lewandowski, FC Bayern has an urgent need for a striker - Mané has (unfortunately) not yet been able to meet the high demands. So that the discussions about another striker at FC Bayern are currently increasing strongly.

Harry Kane at Bayern? Would absolutely love that! What about you guys?  Cheesy

Well there were already rumors and news that Bayern Munich is interested in signing Harry Kane a few months ago and some media even speculated that Harry Kane could also come to Bayern even before the start of this season. Of course that was very unrealistic because Bayern already bought Mane, De Ligt, Gravenberch and Tel in this summer and a Harry Kane deal on top would just be way to expensive.
After this season the things could be different though. His contract is still running until Summer of 2024 but with only 1 year worth of contract left the transfer fee next summer could be in a range that is affordable for Bayern Munich. I just hope they don't pay 50 M€ or more of transfer fee for him. Next summer he is 30 years old already.
988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins that fell below negative 100% this bear market on: September 24, 2022, 04:36:50 PM
Okay so Terra LUNA probably the most notorious collapse, but ... were there any other tokens you thought would do well and fell below negative 100% ?
Here's one that was hyped by a lot of Influencers earlier this year: The Neighbours
Supposed to be a realistic game / metaverse where you could buy and furnish your own real estate.
Went from a peak of $147 to an unbelievable $0.006203  !!

I think that the general rule during a bear market is that the smaller and the newer the project the higher the losses are. Of course there are always exceptions like the one that happened with Terra that you already mentioned but that was also something very extraordinary and that event did not only bring Terra down but also the whole crypto market with it.
At the top of my head i don't know any project that has experience such a sharp drop like that metaverse project that you have mentioned, but i am pretty sure that 99% from all those thousands of meme-coins (shit-coins) that came out in the last few months have gone down in value just as much.
989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: September 23, 2022, 09:50:42 PM
So Italy winning and Germany is losing  Roll Eyes
Imagine not be qualified for the World cup and be able to beat one of the team candidate for the top 4. Roll Eyes

Those stupid nations league games are nothing more than glorified friendly matches to me and just another way for the UEFA to make more money again. They are maybe a little bit more important right now because they are one of the last matches before the world cup starts in a few weeks. Germany did not play well tonight, especially in the first half they did create no good chance to score at all. Hungary scored a very beautiful goal, that was also pretty lucky of course.
Afterwards Hungary defended very well. I think that at the moment Hungary is at least one of the top 20 teams world wide, so it is pretty sad that they are not qualified for the world cup this year. They could have played a good role there.
990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A meme coin called baby doge worth this risk? on: September 23, 2022, 09:46:03 PM
I can't mine ETH or any other coins right now but I do find a way that might look good but bad to many, I can mine a meme coin called Baby Doge, I can get 609,000,000 of this token per day but that's because the max supply of the project is enormous, what do you think about Baby Doge, some time back there are a lot of noise about this project, any believer here?

Well if you don't have any other option to mine, then why should you not try to mine this coin? I am not sure though if Baby Doge is really a proof of Work coin because according to coinmarketcap it uses a proof of stake consensus mechanism. If a coin is mineable there should be a profitability calculator somewhere on the internet and there you can check if you make profit with that coin. If you already have the hardware and you make more profit from mining then the electricity will cost you, then i think you can do nothing wrong.
I don't think though, that BabyDoge has a future. It's a useless shit-coin after all.
I would probably just use Nicehash i think. That way you are always using the most profitable algorithm for your hardware.
991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino Stake.com sued for $400 million on: September 23, 2022, 07:21:48 PM
https://watcher.guru/news/bitcoin-casino-founders-slapped-with-a-400m-lawsuit?c=566
As a long time Stake user this makes me feel concerned, I'll be withdrawing all of my funds and going elsewhere!

As far as i know Stake is one of the oldest, biggest and also most well established online casinos out there. So i think that even if this lawsuit is legit and will end up in court i don't think that this will have a drastic impact on Stake.com, because even if they would have to pay 400 M $ to that guy i highly doubt that they would have big problems to pay that amount of money.
We all know that crypto casinos make a lot of money, that is also the reason why they can offer twitch streams 1 M$ or more if they use their casino on stream. So i would guess they have enough money on the side to pay a fine. 400 M$ is a huge sum though and i can definitely understand if users get nervous.
992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple (XRP) goes up, Bitcoin stays flat or even lose value on: September 23, 2022, 07:17:35 PM
Ripple has success in court and that is why the currency is flying high.
Take into consideration the 3rd and 4th largest Cryptos as of today are USDT and USDC and Ripple can soon go to the moon.
Would you consider investing now in Ripple instead of Bitcoin?!

It is true that Ripple (XRP) saw a nice increase of 35% in price within the last week while the rest of the market was dropping in that time, all because of that news that they won that trial in court. If i would consider to invest into Ripple instead of Bitcoin? Probably yes because Bitcoin already made a x10000 or something while XRP still has some room to grow probably. So if i would have to decide between Bitcoin and Ripple i would maybe decide for Ripple.
That being said, if i have the free choice of where to invest my money then Ripple would be very low on my list, because it is centralized and that is not what crypto should be. Other projects like Cosmos for example would be way higher on that list.
993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 22, 2022, 10:43:24 PM
The problem is that with such an uncertain performance, Bayern could once again miss out on the Champions League title. Last season, Bayern also looked great from the start (and in the Bundesliga too) - they scored a lot of goals but also conceded a lot. The pattern is repeating this season, with Bayern risking get an inconvenient/lucky Champions League opponent and be knockouted early on.

Well the good thing is that we are still so early in this season, so i would say it is way better to have a series of bad results and maybe even a bad performance now then later in the season in april and may when the very big and very important games are played in the playoff round of the Champions League.
That being said, i think it is highly likely that Bayern will miss out on the Champions League title this year. Not because they are bad, i think they are one of the big favorites, but still it is just so hard to win this title. Just look at Manchester City they were the best team of Europe for the last 3 years now or so and they will have not won the CL. You also need luck to win it.
994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO / Presale Question on: September 22, 2022, 10:39:14 PM
Hello. I’m looking for help from you guys on the best website or pay for service that gives you information on ICO / Presale of new tokens preferably on the Binance chain.  I look on coin gecko at the new coins listed and see that after a day or so some coins are already 2-300% up. I’d like to be able to find info so that I could get a chance to buy these prior to being listed so I could have a chance to actually buy a coin before it’s all time high. I’m only looking to throw a couple hundred into a few coins and see if I can hit on one. Thanks!

As others in this thread have already said, there are a few different Telegram groups or websites where you can find lists, dates and information about upcoming crypto projects. That being said, don't really expect to find neutral information there. You always need to be aware that the crypto space is full of shillers that are just hyping up the token that they have invested in themself. Especially telegram groups are very bad in that regard. I doubt that there are telegram groups out there that are giving good and neutral evaluations of upcoming crypto projects without a bias. If those groups exist i am pretty sure that you have to pay to get into those.
995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 22, 2022, 12:33:28 PM
I read an article online where the Bayern Munich management team came out to clearify this rumour and said that they are fine with the current coach and have no intention of patting ways with Nagelsmann. However, if that eventually be the case in near future,  Thomas Tuchel I know will do very well with the Bayern Munich team, he was there with Brussia Dutmornd before and did well and therefore this is not gonna be a new environment to him before he could starts catching up.

I think that Bayer Munich will keep Nagelsmann as their coach for as long as possible. I imagine that even if they are having like 2 or 3 more matches now that they will not win in the Bundesliga then he will still stay as their coach. Bayern Munich paid a transfer fee of 25 M€ when they hired Nagelsmann last summer. That is a lot of money for a coach because usually clubs don't pay transfer fee for coaches at all. Bayern paid that money because they really wanted him as their coach and they also want him to be their coach for a very long time.
Also Bayern is not playing that badly, they are just extremely inefficient with their scoring. They had more than enough chances to win every one of those last 3 games in the Bundesliga.
996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Testnet hunters on here? on: September 22, 2022, 12:28:00 PM
I heard that testnets participants are earning good money since last year, is this better than crypto airdrops and bounties this days? Any testnet participants on here to testify this? I heard this from a friend and he claimed he got better results compare to airdrops and bounties.

I think that there is no general answer to this question as there were some testnet campaigns that were very rewarding for the participants afterwards while many others are giving absolutely no reward. As far as i know the Solana testnest was also very rewarding which happend like 2 years ago. I even read that some people that were very early with their registration for the Solana testnet even got free graphic cards and stuff like that, but i can not verify if that is true.
Of course now that some testnets have been rewarding we will probably experience a flood of airdrop hunters that are now joining testnets too, but not to test the software and the product but only to get some free $. That is not a good thing, all those people hunting for free money are harmful for the crypto space.
997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 21, 2022, 11:50:45 PM
The Bundesliga is the worst league in Europe.
I think that in the last 20 years 90% of wins went to Bayern.

I would say that the Bundesliga is the third strongest league in Europe (and therefore probably in the world) after the english premier league and the spanish primera division. Of course it was kind of boring in regards to who will win the Bundesliga title in the last 10 years because it was Bayern Munich all the time in those years but that definitely does not mean that it is the worst league in europe.
You can also not blame Bayern for their success. They don't have any debts, like Barcelona. They don't have a sheikh or oligarch investor like ManCity or PSG and still they are among the favorites for the Champions League title. Bayern is just doing an amazing job in regards to the management of the club.
998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum POW - ETHW on: September 21, 2022, 11:44:03 PM
If BTC dumps more in this month I am positive that ETHW will cost 2$ per coin, what pissed me off about this coin is the lack of utility, vitalik walk away with everything, smart contracting and leave only PoW behind, who is going to build on ETHW? Lol this is going to end up a shit coin.

Well the Ethereum team has nothing to do with this ETHW coin as far as i know, so i don't think that you can blame Vitalik now just because he updated his coin to a proof of stake consensuns mechanism now. I mean i can understand that people that were mining Ethereum are a bit upset by this switch but to be honest it was clear for at least 2 years now that this switch to PoS will happen. So everyone had enough time to prepare for that event. That ETHW coin is just a attempt by the big mining companies to create an ETH fork that will be used by the people and still runs on PoW. The problem is there is already ETH classic for that. So i don't think that ETHW will have a future.
999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 21, 2022, 04:22:00 PM
Well, i don't think Manchester United will be big spenders in the 2023 January transfer market, it is very difficult (not impossible) to sign players of top quality in that time of the year, and not only that, Manchester United have spent a lot of money this summer already, i am not so sure if they will be open to spending big again, just few months after. The acquisition of Antony, Casemiro and Martinez cost the club a lot of money, so they will prolly be reluctant to spend big again.

I also don't think that Manchester United will do any big transfers this winter. As you already said it is very hard to make big transfers during the season. One big reason for that is that the player that you sign in January or so is not eligible to play in the european cups in that season if he already played in a european cup for another team before and this would probably be the case for every player that is interesting for Manchester United as they are probably looking for a player that significantly improves the quality of their squad and such players are usuallly already playing for big clubs that are participating in a international championship.
1000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How I feel about play to earn games on: September 21, 2022, 04:17:31 PM
At the end of it all no play to earn games can gives player the satisfying reward they deserve, there is no unlimited reward in play to earn games, the only thing that matters is how fun the game can get, people needs to feel like ' well I am ok with the fun more than the payout' its not how much people are going to be earning its how much fun people will have. The game needs to be addicting enough. Am I wrong?

I also think that this is the big issue with all those play 2 earn games that are out there right now. I think the main goal for every game developer should be that the game is fun to play if it is a play 2 earn game or not. I also think that sadly this was not the case for almost all of the play 2 earn games out there. They were designed around tokenomics and how to create as much demand for the game token and the NFT's as possible.
Most "real" gamers that are playing video games (not mobile crap games) are also very much against NFT's and play 2 earn and stuff like that so i don't think that we will see play 2 earn mechanics in any AAA game soon.
