761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone buying Aptos already? on: December 03, 2022, 10:02:49 PM
Since VCs that invested in Aptos are affected by the FTX collapse do you think that Aptos still have a lot of downsides in near future? With the current high supply and high price I don't think it's a good time to accumulate this crypto project.
the reason why I am not already buying is the high price, 4$ per Aptos still look like a stupid buy to me, what do you think?

I agree with you that the current price of Aptos is not really tempting to invest. I mean you always have to keep in mind, that the team behind Aptos received around 400 Million $ of funding from big VC's. Of course, one of those companies was FTX, but they also got money from Binance and many others. This means hat those big companies are owning a very big amount of the total supply and i think once we have reached a certain price level those bic companies will start to sell of their tokens and they have so much of them that they can really control the price of the whole project for at least a  few years from now in my opinion.

Ghana head coach, Otto Addo have resigned following their big defeats against Uruguay 2 nil. Although the both teams failed to qualify for the knockout stages but it was one of the crucial game yesterday. We witnessed more actions from Uruguay as they played with seriousness and Ghana captain, Ayew missed the penalty that would have put Ghana infront. Let's say the Ghana penalty curse against Uruguay continue as the second goal was caused by Ayew which led to goal. It's very embarrassing to see the Ayew brothers substituted after halftime. But I give my credits to Kudus who did his best in the game, it's just that it's wasn't his lucky day on the pitch

I don't think that there really is a reason why people would be disappointed in the performance of Otto Addo. I mean they were in a group with Portugal and Uruguay so i don't think that a lot of people expected them to go through to the knockout stage of the tournament. Still they had a big chance to advance and as you already said they even had the chance to go in front in the match against Uruguay but Ayew simply missed that penalty, so that is definitely not the fault of the coach. Maybe they made an agreement before the tournament started that he would resign if they would not make it into the knockout stage or something.
763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's with the Star Atlas rally ? on: December 03, 2022, 02:48:01 PM
Did not see that coming ! I had already sold my POLIS tokens, but bought some back last night ! Anybody knows what's happening ? This project had lost some serious money with the FTX collapse  and I thought it was all over for them, but it seems I was wrong ! I guess it goes back to fundamentals... Star Atlas is a heck of a project, with a huge following and I think most of us want to see it succeed. I did not see the Atlas token following though, for some reason only the DAO token is pumping.

When i read the title of this thread i was expecting to see that Polis did a x5 or so within a very short amount of time or something. I just checked and it "only" went up like 22% in the last 24 hours. Of course this is still a great development, because we are in a deep bear market at the moment, but i still expected more.
I also thought about investing into Polis a few weeks ago and so far i didn't do it because i invested in another project but i think just because it went up 20% now does not mean that it is too late to invest into Polis now. It's ATH was at more than 10 $ per token so we are still in a very good buy range in my opinion. Maybe i buy a few myself too.

I am really proud of Cameroon, they are the first African team to beat Brazil at the world cup. They tried even though they didn’t make the next round. I knew it was going to be very hard for Cameroon when they had only a point after playing two games...but I never doubted there performance tonight. Switzerland only needed a draw before the game but ended up defeating Serbia. They have been solid in this World Cup and we’ll see how far they can go.

Yeah i also think that this was a very good performance of Cameroon today because it is never easy to win against a brazilian team in a world cup no matter how the circumstances before the match are. That being said, of course it was easier for Cameroon today because Brazil was already qualified for the knockout stage before the match even started, so of course the did not go all out today.
Also Switzerland also showed a lot of willpower and mental strength today. They were already 1-2 down against Serbia and they would have been eliminated at that point but they managed to come back and win the game with 3-2 in the end. So they totally deserved to be in the round of the last 16.
765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happen to Bytecoin on: December 02, 2022, 09:29:54 PM
Some years ago, the most cheapest coins you can find is Dogecoin, Litecoin and Bytecoin, my question is what the heck happened to Bytecoin? I remember I piled up some and just lock them away, my expectation on this coin isn't big though, I was just learning then.

I still remember that Bytecoin was a very active project back in 2017 when i made my first steps into the crypto market. I do not own any Bytcoin myself and i never did, therefore i also did not really follow the development of that project that closely. It seems thought that it took the direction that a lot of the old projects are taking in the last 2 years or so. They slowly but surely lose relevance and after a certain time they die out almost completely. At the moment Bytecoin has a trading volume of less than 5000 $ which is nothing.
So this proves again that you should never invest into cryptos and then just walk away for a few years because the crypto market is just to fast for that.
766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 02, 2022, 10:07:49 AM
Juventus are said to be interested in Gvardiol these days. But their future is still not clear at the same time after the last incidents. Chelsea have been interested in Gvardiol for a long time already. They got really close to a deal last summer as well but they didn't do it later on. They went for Fofana and spent like 80 million euros to sign him.
Now I don't understand why Chelsea are interested in Gvardiol as well. Their main problem is with score productivity actually. They had better care about that more to be more successful. It is obvious that they can't do much with the current strikers.

I think that Gvardiol really has a great future ahead of him. I watched some of his Bundesliga games with RB Leipzig and he really has everything that a good central defender needs. He is big, strong, fast and also has a good technique. He is also playing a pretty strong world cup so far and he is only 20 years old. I definitely see him as one of the top 5 defenders in the world in a few years.
I don't believe though that Juventus will buy him. They have huge debts and made a loss of 250 M€ in the last season alone. So if they would spend 80 Million € on one player now then this would be completely irresponsible. I hope the Juve officials are not as incompetent as the one of FC Barcelona.
767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next crypto craze? on: December 02, 2022, 10:01:49 AM
Cryptos have had many crazes all over the years. First, it was Bitcoin appearance.
right after that, there were the altcoins and soon after the ICOs, IPOs and all the O's thingy craze. Afterwards the PoS and stacking craze came to play and then smart contracts came around then the DAO Blow. Then the Cexes, the Dexes and right after that, we saw NFTs rise along with the metaverse.
A lot of developments have been a part of the industry growth, so my question here is, what do you guys think will be the next craze in the industry?

Obviously it is pretty hard to tell which could be the next big trend within the crypto industry because the average user first knows about this trend when it is already happening. My guess would be though that Web3 implementations could be one big trend. Magicsquare seems to be a pretty big new upcoming project with investments from Binance, Kucoin and Huobi.
Another trend that i could imagine to happen would be the transition of already existing companies to the blockchain and therefore also the issuing of tokens from that company. Yesterday WeSendit launched on Pancakeswap and at the moment the price is at x5 of the presale price which is a pretty good achievement in this deep bear market in my opinion.
768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 01, 2022, 09:07:48 PM
Yep..it's all over for Germany unfortunately and they need to understand that ego and fancy stuff won't win games for them.
Surprise of the night in a very positive way is Japan who once again show great force and managed to score twice against Spain ...a team of Spain that were on the verge of elimination for a couple of minutes when Costa Rica had 2-1 and I think this one of the most craziest groups in recent World Cup  Grin Grin.

Germany is out in the group stage in two world cups in a row now which is a total shame for them i can imagine. This match today was also weird again from Germany. Of course they were dominating Costa Rica but at one point they were even 1-2 down against them which should never happen. It is also true though that Germany did basically everything today that they could do. They won their game with 4-2 but that was just not enough because Japan somehow managed to win 2-1 against Spain which nobody expected before i would guess.

I also have to say, that the result of Japan vs. Spain smells pretty fishy to me. Spain is probably very happy now that they only placed second in the group because now they will face Marocco in the round of the last 16 instead of Croatia, so i can imagine that Spain did not really want to score the equalizer anymore. That would be very bad sportsmanship though.
769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can crypto exchagnes regain users trust with PoR? on: December 01, 2022, 09:03:00 PM
GM crypto fam. Happy December!
I've seen that several exchanges are trying to increase client transparency after the FTX crash by disclosing their Proof of Reserves. Since there is no way to determine whether the exchange is not using client funds to cover hidden debt or anything, I personally don't buy any of this.
Since I'm genuinely unsure of whether I'm missing something, I figured I might get some helpful insights from more experienced people here.
Is PoR actually enough after all that has happened so far?  Huh

I also noticed recently that coinmarketcap added the parameter "exchange reserve funds data available" on their list of exchanges after a few of the big exchanges like Binance, KuCoin and Bitfinex have published their reserve funds. So i can imagine that if a new person joins the crypto space and is looking for an exchange to buy it's tokens then it could definitely make the difference if a exchange has published their reserve funds. As you already said though i don't think that there is a way to make 100% sure though that those reserve funds are really owned completely by the exchagnes itself or if there are also some coins of their users contained.

If Belgium win this match then Belgium can play in the next round. But it doesn't seem that Belgium can win this match. I think Croatia will win this match.  We have seen that Croatia played very well in previous matches, today if Croatia can play well then Croatia will win.

The outcome of this match is very hard to predict for me, but i would also say that Croatia is the slight favorite in this match up against Belgium today for a few reasons. First of all Croatia is the reigning vice world cup champion which is a pretty great achievement, so they definitely have a lot of class in their squad. Also they looked stronger so far in this tournament then Belgium in my opinion. Also i think this tournament is probably the last chance for Belgium to finally win a title or to at least reach the semi-finals or something because the players of their golden generation are now all older then 30 now, so i doubt that they will play another world cup.
771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone know anything about YoBit? The exchange? on: December 01, 2022, 02:30:16 PM
They seem to be a survivor in the industry.
Apparently they’ve never been hacked?
Native token sits at 500 with the ATH being 3000.
Anyone in the community know more about YoBit? Has anyone done any due diligence on them? Are they trustworthy?

As others in this thread have already mentioned. YoBit is an exchange that is around for a long time now, which is usually a good thing but at the same time YoBit always had the reputation to be shady or even scammy. They had some weird launchpad sales in the past that did not so well if i remember correctly too. So personally i would not really use YoBit as my primary exchange or use it to keep my funds stored there. Also the token of YoBit really seems to have a pretty high value at the first glance but if you look a little closer then you see that the total supply of it is only 17000, which is extremely low and the trading volume is also very small.

Argentina are now two goals up against Poland, even after a missed penalty by Messi and this has already secured them a place in the next round, after a slow start and a loss to less favorite Saudi Arabia I think the team has really made amends for that loss.
It’s now up to Mexico and Poland to fight for the first runner up position they are both currently tied on points and goal difference

Wow in the end Poland was really lucky and they somehow managed to get through to the knockout stage. When Argentina scored the 2-0 and at the same time Mexico was already 2-0 up against Saudi Arabia i was 100% sure that either Argentina or Mexico would at least score one more goal which would have meant that then Mexico would have been qualified for the knockout stage and Poland would be eliminated, but Mexicos goal was taken back and Argentina had another huge chance to score but one player of Poland managed to get the ball away just before the goal line when the goalkeeper was already beaten. Poland now against France if i am not mistaken.
773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance smart chain and 0 dollars transactions attack on: November 30, 2022, 08:47:01 PM
There is an attack going on where transactions are created that show transactions going out of your account that have 0 tokens moved.
The attacker sends 0 tokens from your address without your private keys. The address is very similar that you send tokens to. Then a user copies address and accidentally sends tokens to scammer.
Here you can see 20 such 0 token transactions.
https://bscscan.com/tx/0x8af45041085d513da6c5acb06bc82acf108ccc08d7ae3a2b7dbe4671c2d75d70

Well first of all thank you for the warning and the heads up. I am not really sure though how this transaction attack would work. As others in this thread have already said, there should be no way that a scammer can send tokens from your wallet if he does not have access to your wallet which means to your private key and if he would have access to it then he definitely would not send 0 token transactions first. He would instead just send all of the funds from your wallet to a wallet that he is controlling. So i don't think that this scam works as you said, but i also don't now how it could work any other way. This kind of scam would be new to me.
774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 30, 2022, 07:23:05 AM
As you must have heard, Juventus are about to deal with a huge problem now. The president Agnelli and the whole board have resigned. Juventus are even under the danger of relegating to the Serie B as well. If this really happens and we start watching them there then we might be very likely to see many players leaving the team as well. I wouldn't expect their best players to decide to stay. In this case one name is already coming to my mind for a probable transfer: Dusan Vlahovic.
Vlahovic is one of the most talented strikers right now. There is no way seeing no team being interested to sign him in this situation. Maybe Manchester United might try their luck but their job would be still difficult against more successful teams in a probable race for him.

Well i think it was just a matter of time that the officials of Juventus resigned. In the end it is their fault they Juventus has such high debts now, so they have to take responsibility for that and leave the club. That being said now that they are gone the big problem still remains. Juventus has a huge amount of debts and made a loss of 250M € in the last season alone. That is also the reason of course why they are not at the top of the Serie A anymore. I am always completely baffled and shocked how irresponsible those clubs are handling their financials. I mean they have spent 42,5 M€ for Chiesa and 41 M€ for Bremer before the start of this season, even though they have this huge amount of debts.
The officials of Juventus are just as incompetent as the ones of FC Barcelona.
775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase wallet stops support for XRP, ETC, XLM and BCH on: November 30, 2022, 07:15:55 AM
Those that still have their mentioned assets on Coinbase, you better withdraw it immediately because they'll be stopping the support for these by January 2023 as per Coinbase's article but on Coindesk, it says December 5. Although from their website says that it won't be lost but it's better to have it on your own posession before anything else.
As of January 2023, Coinbase Wallet will no longer be supporting the following assets and networks due to low usage: BCH, ETC, XLM and XRP.
Coinbase cited "low usage" as a reason for delisting the four coins,

Pretty weird because those 4 projects that they are delisting all seem to be pretty big crypto projets in my opinion. I mean especially XRP has a huge following and it is still rank 7 in terms of marketcap so i am not really sure if the reason for the delisting is really low usage. Also i don't really see why an other reason why Coinbase should delist those tokens. I mean they are not from direct competitors like Binance, Kucoin or Huobi. There were quite a few delistings in the last few months like the stop of support of USDC as a stablecoin from Binance. I wonder why this is happening. In the case of Binance not supporting USDC anymore it is pretty obvious though that Binance just wanted to harm Coinbase.
776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 29, 2022, 09:10:45 PM
USA can hold on till the end of the game. No late dramas will happen in that game. They've played relatively well in this tournament. The draw with Wales and also draw with England, a game no one expected them to draw. And they've been pretty impressive against Iran tonight. They'll probably be facing Netherland in the round of 16 which also looks impossible but never say never. We've seen so many shocking things in this world cup to write off any team

I watched that USA vs. Iran match and i have to say it was a pretty boring match. The United states were stronger in the first half and therefore their goal was totally deserved at that point. In the second half Iran was stronger because obviously they desperately needed to score a goal in order to advance into the knockout stage. They never really managed to create a lot of pressure though and they only had like 1 or 2 good chances in the second half to score, which is not really that much given the fact that they were the attacking team almost all the time.
I think both teams showed a pretty weak performance today and the luckier one went through. With a performance like today the US will have 0 chance against the Netherlands though.
777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many of you believe in Litecoin? on: November 29, 2022, 09:07:34 PM
Litecoin has always been one of my favourite cryptos. It was the first crypto after Bitcoin, and it was the third crypto I mined first.
Nowadays, I do not mine cryptos any more, but I'm still hoarding Litecoin as I believe I will still make 10x or plus more than what I have invested. After Bitcoin, for me, it is the best.
So, how many of you still believe in Litecoin and think we will still see it go past the $500 mark again?

I don't have that much experience with Litecoin because to be honest i have never owned any Litecoin nor mined it or something like that. As you already said Litecoin is one of those crypto projects that are around for many years now and for that fact alone i think it is a very likeable project. From the tech side it is not that impressive as far as i know of. It is a simple Bitcoin clone with minor tweaks to enable more transactions and lower transaction fees but that is pretty much it.
I don't really know if i believe in Litecoin or not, i think it is definitely possible that litecoin will face the same future as some other older projects that were among the top 10 a few years ago. It needs to be careful to not lose relevance slowly but surely.
778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 29, 2022, 11:31:48 AM
Brazil, one of the favorites to win the World Cup, gave another outstanding performance against Switzerland yesterday. The Brazil team is strong and passionate. Yesterday's game between Switzerland and Brazil was a hard one, and they were unfortunate to score. The only team that has advance to the knockout round is Brazil, France, and Portugal.

Hmm i don't know but for me Brazil did not really show a very convincing performance yesterday. They had a very hard against Switzerland yesterday and it took them 83 minutes to score a goal. After that goal it was noticeable that Brazil was very relieved and after that they created a few more good scenes but until then it was very hard work for them and not dominating at all.
For me France was the most impressive team of this world cup so far, even though we also have to put into consideration that Australia is not as strong as switzerland for example and against Denmark it was a pretty hard game for France too. I think that there are at least 10 teams that have a chance to win the world cup.
779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will support Elon Musk if he creates a stablecoin for Twitter on: November 29, 2022, 11:25:11 AM
I will support Elon Musk if he creates a stablecoin for Twitter and also pays users for free, If Elon Musk pays $1 million per user per day, it would make the world rich quickly, Moreover, it will also provide liquidity to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I didn't support Mark Zuckerberg because he wanted to become the richest person in the world by creating more assets as a stablecoin and because Mark Zuckerberg wasn't even interested in Bitcoin, I refused to give approval to the US and European governments either. If Mark Zuckerberg had created a stablecoin, it would hardly have benefited users.

You will support Elon Musk if he creates a stablecoin and then pays 1 Million $ to each user every day? Do you even know how the economy and the market are working? You can not just create Billions and Billions of Dollars out of nowhere because that would generate such a huge inflation that all the money would be worthless. Also if everyone would be a millionaire then the world would stop to work because then there would be no more people that would do all the dirty and work that is necessary to keep he planet running.
That being said, i also support Elon Musk because he wants to make twitter to a place of real free speech and that is very important in my opinion.

The game was really good from both teams. I actually expected germany to lose today. That's why I'm positively surprised right now and the draw is really deserved. That gives me hope for the german team again. Hopefully they play well against costa rica and win. I keep my fingers crossed for the team and I'm looking forward to the next game too.  Smiley

That really was a pretty good game to watch today. In the beginning i thought that Spain would totally destroy Germany today because in the first 15 minutes of the game Spain was extremely dominant and had the ball almost all the time. After that period though Germany found it's way into the game and then the game was even until the half time break. In the second half Germany started stronger in my opinion and this time they were in control of the game but then Spain scored the first goal pretty much out of nowhere. In the following minutes the 2-0 was closer then the 1-1 but then Germany managed to get back again and after the 1-1 they even had a chance to make it 2-1 for them so i would say the draw was a fair result in the end.
