561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum’s Shanghai upgrade is set for March 2023! Is this HODL or DUMP? on: February 02, 2023, 08:15:58 PM
Ethereum's upcoming upgrade, Shanghai, is said to happen on March 2023.
This hardfork will enable ETH staker and validator to withdraw from Beacon Chain which said to be approximately 16 million coins or over $25 billion.

Well usually i would say the news about an upcoming update is always a positive thing because that means that the project is alive and still developing actively. Of course in this case this could be different, because if that many tokens can now be withdrawn this could also mean that a lot of tokens could be for sale at the same time which can have a pretty big and negative impact on the price of the coin, even if it is a project like Ethereum that has a huge trading volume.
That being said, i don't think that we will see a heavy dumping after this upgrade and also not shortly before. Usually such activities are happening as soon as they are announced or even before.

Graham Potter is in a position to make the transfers he wants and right now he should think about who he will bring to the team and take that step.  The choice available to Potter is incredible.  There are situations such as the ability to spend unlimited.  After spending so much money, the main goal should be to get into the top 4 in the league and build a squad that can be champion for UCL next year.

So what happened to financial fairplay? I thought that it was introduced a few years ago to prevent that a club, that is owned by a sheikh, an oligarch or by other super rich people, can just buy every good player out there. Seems like financial fairplay is already dead again, what a shame. Also i want to  add that, just because you have a lot of money to spend, does not automatically guarantee success. How many Champions League trophies has Paris Saint Germain won since it is owned by that sheikh and since they have spent hundreds of millions of € for new players? None at all. So just because Chelsea has now spent a lot of money does not make them stronger.
Also just because they have spent 130 M€ for Enzo Fernandez does not mean that he is performing like a 130 M€ player. His market value is 55M€. It's Chelseas fault alone, that they have spent way to much for him.
563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers stole $3.8 billion from crypto investors (mainly through Defi) in 2022 on: February 02, 2023, 12:15:59 PM
Reason number 1007 why I don't want anything to do with altcoins or defi nonsense. They are a hackers wet dream.
Tens of millions of staked assets were also lost or hacked from Blockfi, Celsius, etc.

Hmm i don't really think that altcoins are nonsense. For me it was Ethereum with it's introduction of smart contracts that made crypto as big as it is today. If we would still only have Bitcoin today, then the price of one Bitcoin would probably still be way below 1000$ because Bitcoin alone would have never reached the masses and mainstream adoption.
Of course when a product or a software has a lot of functionality and different applications then this also means that hackers have multiple possibilities to try to get access to those software. I still think though that Defi will be the driving force for the whole crypto market in the next years.
564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 01, 2023, 07:50:12 PM
The match between Dortmund v Freiburg is of course an important match for both of them, because they currently have the same points in the Bundesliga standings. So that the team that can win in this match, the team will have a good position in the top four.
But because Dortmund is currently in a good trend with three consecutive wins that have been obtained after the season break, it seems that Dortmund will be able to continue this good trend to beat Freiburg.

I also think that Dortmund is definitely the favorite in the upcoming match against Freiburg. Not really because of their current series of consecutive wins though, because if you have watched those games then it is obvious that Dortmund was pretty lucky in each of those matches to have won those. They were not the better team in any of those matches, they just were more effective than the opponents and they had more luck with very late goals for them or even own goals of the opponents.
We should not forget though that Freiburg usually is not a club that is fighting for the top 6 ranks of the Bundesliga. So we should not expect from them to stay up there in the Bundesliga table for the whole season.
565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Shiba inu get to $1 on: February 01, 2023, 07:46:35 PM
Can shiba inu ever get to $1 in the next bull run or more years to come??,  though nothing is impossible, but i don't think it can get there,
And is the project still good to invest in?

As others in this thread have already mentioned, it is literally impossible for Shiba Inu to ever reach the price of 1$ per token. If i am correct with my math then it would need another x100000 from here on in order to reach a price of 1$ per token. This would mean though that the market cap of Shiba Inu would probably be higher than the total wealth of this planet. So there you have it, there is no way that Shiba Inu will ever reach the price of 1$.
In addition to that, i also think that it is generally no good move to invest into Shib. The time of useless meme-coins is over in my opinion and the longterm trend for Shiba Inu will also be downwards in my opinion, but of course that is just my personal opinion.
566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 01, 2023, 12:04:00 PM
The winter transfer market is over and at the same time Enzo Fernandez, who was recently brought in by Chelsea from Benfica, made him the most expensive player purchase in the English Premier League and managed to break the transfer record previously held by Jack Grealish when he moved to Man City from Aston Villa. Rumors that have been talked about for 1 month about Enzo Fernandez's move to Chelsea have finally come true today.

For me it is absolutely crazy what FC Chelsea was doing during this winter transfer period. It will be interesting to see what players will leave the club now in the summer. If they are losing players like Havertz for example then i don't really think that the overall quality of the squad of Chelsea has improved even though they have spent an ridiculously high amount of money.
I also have to say, that i think that it is absolutely stupid to pay a transfer fee of 130M€ for a player that "only" has a market value of 55M€. Enzo Fernandez has played a great world cup there is no doubt about that, but that is not enough to justify such an extremely high transfer fee. Chelsea has just gone mad.
567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are good at using the most hyped utility on: February 01, 2023, 11:59:17 AM
There are over dozens of meme coins that are now almost dead or dead already because they are the most trending hype in last bull market.
Today the next big thing is called Artificial intelligence and as a coinmarkcap user I am seeing many new A.I projects, I investigate two newly listed on CMC and I found out they are rubbish,  it seems the Doge and INU race is over, now it's A.I call for scammers.
Most new projects listing on CMC are now having _____ AI name, for example AkitaAI, StableAI etc, there is nothing to be expected of these new projects, they are here to grab some attention that won't last and they will make tons of money doing so, it's always the money race.

Well from a scammers point of view it just make sense to always hop on the current hype train because obviously those hyped topic are just generating the most interests of the people at the given time. In addition to that i also think that the share of absolute crypto newbies that are wanting to invest is higher in those hype topics than in the others. I also have to say though, that this type of behavior from scammers is not unique to the crypto world though. Recently there have been many new scam shops appearing on the internet that were all selling firewood. The reason for that was that firewood was becoming so expensive here in germany because of the war. So scammers in every section are always going for the most searched product.
568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 31, 2023, 09:15:41 PM
This is a signing that i am well pleased it, a perfect short term replacement for the injured Eriksen and a stop gap depth for Manchester United for the remaining 5 months of the season. It came late but it was worth it. Welcome Marcel Sabitzer to Manchester United

I am actually pretty surprised about that news. I followed the coverage of the deadline day on german sportsnews today in the early afternoon and one news or rumor there was, that Marcel Sabitzer will most likely go back to RB Leipzig. Seems like the things took a pretty big turn here. I just did a little research and it seems like the transfer to Manchester United is not done though. There is still no official confirmation from Manchester, Bayern or the player himself, so we still need to wait for that.
If that transfer goes through, then i think that ManU made a pretty good signing there. Sabitzer can be an exceptional midfielder if he is feeling good and also gets the support from the coach.
569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: beginner in Crypto on: January 31, 2023, 09:10:19 PM
As a beginner in Crypto with a limited budget would you recommend purchasing the lower priced NFT's?

Even though i am interested in cryptos for at least 5 years now i am still quite a newbie in my opinion so i am just stating my personal opinion here. My first purchase in the crypto space would definitely not be a NFT. I think the big NFT hype bubble has already bursted. Of course NFT's has some use-cases and they will definitely stay but those thousands of useless NFT collections probably won't have a bright future.
It also depends on what you want to achieve with your investment. If you want to be as safe as possible then just buy Bitcoin with your money. If you want to take a little more risk, then invest into altcoins that are already big and established like Ethereum, BNB, Cosmos etc.
570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 31, 2023, 08:34:14 AM
I'm very surprised with the news that Cancelo is joining Bayern Munich on loan. Because there is no meaning in Manchester City to let one of their crucial players go so easily. I know that they have Sergio Gomez as an alternative left-back but it is still not a sensible move. Cancelo has been one of the key players in defense. He has been more like a offensive back actually and he has scored lovely goals in addition to his contribution with his passes. This is going to be a very favourable deal for Bayern Munich and they have an option to buy him also.

This is one of the really wrong moves for Manchester City while they are trying to achieve the Champions League title. But hopefully they will make up for this.

For me that transfer also came completely out of nowhere to be honest. I would have never expected that Bayern Munich would be able to get such a big and important player so easily. I have read that Cancelo was not playing in a few matches after the world cup so maybe this was a reason why this transfer is now happening.
From the perspective of Bayern Munich this is definitely a good signing. Currently they have Pavard and Stanisic as right defenders and it seems like Pavard is unhappy and wants to leave Bayern after this season. Stanisic is still very young and not at the very highest level yet in my opinion.
571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins do you think are currently still cheap but have good potential for on: January 31, 2023, 08:29:11 AM
I want to ask everyone, now the number of altcoins is increasing and the prices are various, do you know, in your opinion, what altcoins are still cheap now but have good potential for the future?
I want to hear an explanation from you?

Obviously it is very hard to predict anything in the crypto market because most of the time, at least for me the price movements are coming pretty much out of nowhere and most of the times they don't really seem to have a reason or a logical explanation. I was buying some Cosmos (ATOM) a while ago for around 10$ per coin, because i think that this project definitely has a lot of potential to become really big in the future and i think that a x10 or even more from here on are definitely possible if the market overall is doing well.
I also looked at NEAR, but i did not buy at 1,30$ per coin and now it is at 2,30$ so obviously i can get myself to buy some now. If it drops below 2$ again i will probably buy some NEAR.
572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 29, 2023, 08:23:23 PM
Thats what I think Tsitsipas lacks or is his weakness - his mental strength. He has the tools,
the talent to win.

Even though i agree that players like Tsitsipas or Zverev or Shapovalov or others need to improve on their consistency in order to really be able to get on the level of the very best players like Djokovic and Nadal. I also think though that this is so much easier said than done. I mean it is almost impossible to win against Djokovic in my opinion because he just is the best return player at the moment and he is able to bring back almost every ball of the opponent. So you have to be very aggressive and you have to take a pretty big risk because you need to place your shots in a way where even Djokovic can not reach them, which obviously also increases the number of unforced errors.
573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will crypto banks replace traditional banks soon on: January 29, 2023, 08:19:28 PM
"in just a few years, a younger generation of financial services users are going to into a bank and gain access to create ☑️ credit products, savings accounts and investments that can host both crypto and fiat assets. In fact, the inroads that will allow for all of this to happen are already breaking ground.
Consumers will soon define a “full service” bank as one that offers financial services in both crypto and fiat. The time to start acquiring the necessary tools of the crypto banking trade is right now. The world need it.👌Banks need to start adapting or get left behind. So what do we all think about this

Even though i would like the idea that banks that are running on the blockchain will replace tradiditional banks, i have a hard time that this will happen in my lifetime to be honest. Back in 2018 or so i took part in an ICO of Mt.Pelerin, this is a swiss project that also had the goal to create a bank that is running on the blockchain and the reasons for that made sense to me. You would have significantly less fees and costs for the bank because everything would work automatically because of smart contracts and the usage of blockchain.
Because it was a swiss project they have to proof that they have a lot of money as reserves in order to be eligible to create a bank though. So it is still in the works at the moment.

Roma manager Jose Mourinho is keen to return to the Premier League for next season and his ideal job would be a third spell in charge at Chelsea. We all know how much Mourinho is connected to Chelsea, but is this a real possibility or just someone's wish?
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl says they are yet to receive any approaches for England midfielder Jude Bellingham amid Manchester United'sinterest in the 19-year-old. Many clubs want Bellingham including Real who see him as a replacement for Modric. How will this football saga end and what will Bellingham decide?

To be honest, i have never been the biggest fan of Jose Mourinho as a coach. I think that he really is a good coach and especially when he won the Champions League with FC Porto it was a huge upset and surprise and in my opinion also the biggest achievement of him as a coach. Then he came to FC Chelsea and had the opportunity to coach a squad that was full of stars. Still they did not manage to win the Champions League. At Inter Milan he was again extremely successful with another win of the Champions League title.
I think Mourinho is great at motivating his team and making them play for him too, i also think tough that there are several coaches out there that are playing a much more attractive style of football like Guardiola, Klopp, Tuchel or Pochettino for example.
575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big Banks and MainStream on: January 29, 2023, 04:29:46 PM
What do the big banks and mainstream institutions think of bitcoin?

I think the view of big banks and also institutions and government on bitcoin and the crypto space as a whole has significantly changed withing the last 5 years or so. Back in 2017 or so when i first entered the crypto space, big banks and governments were still pretty much making fun of cryptos and did not take it seriously at all. Nowadays crypto currencies get adopted by big companies more and more and therefore also banks, institutions and governments have no other option than to really look into cryptos. They are not doing this because they are fans of cryptos, but they simply also want to earn from the trend. Big banks are doing everything to make money.
576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sending in fake ID for KYC on: January 28, 2023, 10:39:47 PM
I just was brought up to speed on groups of people sending in fake/Photoshopped ID's by scanning public records to defeat the KYC process and it seemingly is very easy to do.  It appears that many people sent in fake documentation to the Bob's and Polymath KYC and had no hassles.  How do these companies verify people if all they have to go on is public information?  Did they even really check the ID's or were they simply collected the data?  How rampant do you think this is?  How many of us are complete fools for turning in our documents when others simply faked it.  Now they have our data and the people who faked it are still secure.

The initial post from this thread is from 2018 and therefore almost 5 years old. So i doubt that this it is still so easy to just upload some picture of an ID that you find on the internet and a matching document in order to get verified on exchanges or other sites. I personally would not fake my data in order to do a KYC on an exchange where i plan to do trades or something like that because i would be afraid that i would do some kind of update to my KYC before i could withdraw the money from the exchange to my bank account if i wanted to do that in the future. I did KYC for 2 exchanges i think and also for one or two ICO#s that i joined a few years ago.
For an airdrop or something i could also imagine to fake a KYC, because if it fails, it won't matter that much anyway.
577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 28, 2023, 09:55:25 PM
bayern munich seems to have had a little trouble in their last 3 matches where the results of the previous 3 matches ended in a draw. this makes the team below their ranking even closer to catching up on points which are now only 1 point away.

union berlin came back mighty after an additional 3 points from the match against Hertha berlin made them ranked 2nd in the standings with a point difference with bayern munich only 1 point away. well, if bayern munich loses its best form, i think next week it could be that another team will shift their ranking.

I guess no one expected that Bayern Munich would start with 3 draws in a row into the second half of the Bundesliga season after they finished so strong before the world cup break. I wonder how high the odds for such a bet would have been, if you would have placed that before the start of the first match against Leipzig. You would have probably get a rate of 50:1 or even more for that.
Today the performances of Bayern was again pretty weird for me. They scored the first goal and i think it was totally deserved because Bayern was the better team up to that point even though they were not able to create many big chances. Then Frankfurt scored the equalizer with their very first chance and then Bayern played shaky and without confidence again.
578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 28, 2023, 03:06:05 PM
Leipzig have continued to make extraordinary appearances and surprises in recent matches and that could be a sign that Leipzig have started better than before the break. So there is a possibility for Leipzig to continue to stick to Bayern Munich's points and provide competition to several teams that are very close to it in the temporary standings. Today Union Berlin will also play and I think Union Berlin will also get a win in today's match.

For me, RB Leipzig is the second strongest team of the Bundesliga and their performance against Bayern Munich in the first game of the second half of the season and also last weekend against Schalke was very impressive. I was not really surprised though because, as i already said RB Leipzig has a very strong team and they are definitely stronger than Borussia Dortmund for example in my opinion.
Yesterday they were pretty lucky though to win that match. Stuttgart showed a pretty good performance yesterday and the match was totally even. Stuttgart even has a higher expected goals rating than RB Leipzig. So Leipzig was definitely lucky yesterday to get the 3 points.
579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin + Ethereum = Proof Of Memes? on: January 28, 2023, 03:00:50 PM
A very new blockchain has combined the best of both worlds. Like Dogecoin, the supply is higher and the rewards per block are also higher (9 coins). Similar to Ethereum prior to the move to POS, the coin can be mined with GPUS or high end ASIC models designated for ETH consensus mining. POM AKA POMCHAIN is a fun environment for new crypto enthusiasts and a way to submerge yourself in defi. The team is even developing on top of Twitter APIS to allow people to mint their memes as NFTS and sell them for a value based on the social volume those memes attract. If you want to learn more you can go to proofofmemes.org or just search for Proof Of Memes on Google Smiley Hope to see you all in the bull run!

Dude if you want to shill your own project, than at least do it in a way that is not so obvious and annoying. Everyone that is older than 8 years and that has an IQ that is higher than 70 istantly knows that all those 12 accounts that are praising your project are created by yourself. I mean you could have at least took the effort to reister a few of those accounts a few weeks ago and "level them up" so they are at least no newbie accounts anymore, so it would not have been that obvious.
To the project itself, i don't really think that a higher supply and higher rewards per block are something positive. In the end a higher supply just means that every coin is worth less, if the marketcap is identical. It doesn't matter if you have 1000 coins or 1 if both are worth the same.
580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why people are always interested in altcoins on: January 27, 2023, 09:54:28 PM

Bitcoins are for long term only and altcoins are for short term trades. The top altcoins with high volume will pay off a lot when we know how to exploit them. Every fluctuation can be used as an advantage. High risk but also with high returns.
People choosing Altcoins should be familiar with the character of each altcoin, and it is safer to be with the top altcoins and developments that are clear for the future. Don't just choose altcoins based on other people's stories.

I don't really agree with the statement, that Bitcoin is only for a longterm investment and i also strongly disagree that altcoins are only good for a short term investment strategy. Yes it is true, that you can generate higher profits while daytrading altcoins because the price fluctuations of altcoin projects are usually significantly higher than the fluctuation of altcoin.
It is also true though, that there are already dozens of very good and strong altcoin projects out there that should still do very well in the next 5 or 10 years and that are very much suitable for a longterm hold. I think that many of those altcoin projects have a higher grow potential than Bitcoin but of course the risk is also higher here to pick the wrong project.
