Who in their right mind is still banking on these Klondike boards? Its over. Done. Time to move on to the next opportunity.

The joy of the Cryptoworld, where a week is a year in real life... Smiley
You got that right Atomic.....amazing how fast the BTC earnings have dropped per G/hash,,,,,scary,,I think I may just stick to gpu alt coins for a while and have just enough asic miners (erupters or a blade) to cover utility cost on gpu mining. Smiley For a while anyways.... Smiley

White is the color.  It's an alternative solder mask choice Smiley

White is a shade, not a colour Smiley

Quote
White is a color, the perception of which is evoked by light that stimulates all three types of color sensitive cone cells in the human eye in equal amounts and with high brightness compared to the surroundings. A white visual stimulation will be void of hue and grayness. White is the lightest possible color.

When in doubt, check it out! lol,,, thats good Bicknellski!

It could be worse I guess, ya could be one of those poor souls on Ebay still trying to sell a BFL pre order almost a year old.... which will make little or no money..... and to you guys that are still trying to sell  Klondike boards on ebay, how can you even attempt to sell, (in good conscience), knowing the chips situation. I feel in someways you are discrediting the Klondike Design or its Manufactures by posting them in there under the circumstances,,,,kinda looks and aligns itself to the Butterfly's Labs debacle. Lets try to preserve the Klondike Reputation. You will sell them faster and make more money if you wait until you have them in hand. Whenever that may be
3425  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 24, 2013, 09:12:59 PM
Yes, well it was a good try.  I'll certainly never buy anything that has something to do with Avalon again, unless it's available, in stock, and can be had next day delivery.   I have no respect left for Yifu and BitSyncom, he screwed over the entire DIY community.
Ditto
3426  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 24, 2013, 07:51:36 PM
Food for thought....

My 45 g/hash's of boards ordered on June 18th would have earned about $128.00 per day in BTC (then). Now 45 gh will earn a hair over $39.00 and dropping like a lead ballon   Undecided so sad for all of us,,,and I'm not blaming TH at all, in this observation.

wtf - this thread sucks.

you just now realizing that...lol. I guess some are just content to wait until the cows come home" by golly!

Good news TH is finally going to test the new K16 PCB.
Seems like this should have been done a couple of weeks ago.
If changes need to be made this could cause more delays.
Lets hope it goes well and the boards hash with low hardware errors rates this time.

This should have been done in mid-late July, not just a couple weeks ago. Truth is, even if TH had received the chips on time they would not have been ready to have the boards made and shipped by Aug. 15th.

The Spartans were parsimonious of patter. When they refused Athenian terms, on one occasion, the herald declared : "If we come to your city, we will raze it to the ground."
The Spartan answer was the one word: "If."
"If" is a two letter word with a huge meaning. If a bunch of gas particles did not get together to form the Sun, we wouldn't be here today.
Hey thats good  "IF"  nice point  Smiley

Edit: heres my favorite "IF"  Wink hang in there TH

Update:
Cases are ready and have been delivered at our assembly facility.
PCBs have been ordered and will be here by Monday.
Power supplies have been ordered and will here Monday.

We will be assembling a test K64 next week.

Thank you! Smiley

wait... didnt you say that about a month ago? Post pictures please... stop trying to scam us.
lol you like that word "scam" don't you.....
3431  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 22, 2013, 10:36:24 PM
Terra Needs to be more open in lines of communication, that would be their fault. If this is not a scam there needs to be a reason as why they have not spoke out. GL VIVA BTC
I think the reason is they really don't have much to say is, without the chips,,,we are all just kinda stuck in the mud with the klondike design,,,,just the way it is for thousands....

And I did check out your site, i was impressed, and I think you are filling a great need that is increasingly growing with bitcoin, and yes all the scammers!...with that said though, I personally think you really should remove Terrahash's name from your list,,I think their issues, short comings and misgivings are not so intentional, as they are a matter of consequences somewhat beyond their control......so give that some thought, I try to be fair in all i see...and look at all the angles,,,keep up the good work, but think about what i said Smiley
3432  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 22, 2013, 10:18:58 PM
We all bought product expecting the chips to be delivered by Avalon in a timely manner.  It didn't happen.  How is that Terrahash's fault?  They plainly stated "two weeks after receiving chips".

Fact of the matter is, they got screwed over even worse than the people that bought product from them.  Bitch all you want, but it isn't two weeks after receipt of the chips, is it?   Just because we all expected the chips earlier, well, it just didn't happen to work out that way.  That's YiFu's fault, not Terrahash's...
I never said it was Terrahashes fault? or am blaming them"  don't put words in that havent been said to make your points... or anyones. but myself and others, purchased under a presumtion, and rightfully so, that we would get a product within the expected time frame given from TH. and not to mention a refund (if so desired) up until the order has been shipped. Now to your point" if they had also said: 2 weeks after receiving chips, we will ship,,,BUT the chips could be delayed or could be really really be delayed an additonal month or 2 or never,,then how many may have passed on ordering with them under that condition. So your point, is kinda half assed.

Edit:Its not what they said, its what they didn't say. And don't say well they didn't know, (about the chips) well we didn'nt know either, and as the customers, the onus is on them to be the one's to know whats up, not us,,,,they offered the product.

By the way ,,for me I hope to do a lot if business down the road with TH, I luv the Klondike concept.... Smiley
3433  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 22, 2013, 09:28:41 PM
Terrahash has always stated that deliveries would begin two weeks after chips are received.  Anyone bitching about them not delivering might want to remember that - it was one of the conditions of purchase.  You get to start complaining two weeks after they've received chips.

YiFu is the problem here, not Terrahash.  Are daily updates of "Nope.  No chips yet" really going to be very useful?
you just happen to leave out the rest of the story. Chips should be/expected to be delivered by mid to late July and completed boards shipped out by august 15th. so if the chips do not come for another 8 weeks, then another 2-3 weeks to get boards assembled,,,and you say no one should bitch? LOL.... thats funny
3434  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 20, 2013, 09:46:00 PM
If terrahash can ride this out, I hope they would offer another closed order opportunity to the initial group in here, regardless of whether or not they cancelled, refunded or whatever that folks felt they had to do. But "only" once they have more than enough chips in hand. Which in the beginning that was going to be their policy, no preorders and go on sale only when they had a product ready to ship. Im not sure where when and why they decided to deviate from that business plan, but would have been wise to have stuck to it. Of course, hind sight is always 20/20. We all have made decisions that turned out not to be the best. When I first started hunting for an asic miner, I had no clue nor had I ever heard of yifu and his associates. I only trusted that when I chose Terrahash, that they had all their ducks in a row, as all of us did and had confidence when ordering. I do wish the best for them (TH) and want them to know I will still be a future customer as I am sure many in here would definitely be also, once they can get the ball rolling. And who knows, the chips may come this week! lets hope so. Smiley

From http://www.avalon-asics.com

story so far - 8/19

chips have arrived via other routes as previously announced, we are shipping them out at the rate of 40-50k on a daily basis at the moment, in addition to the ~150k or so that went out, another 40k was shipped today. There is multiple channel which the chips are arriving from various packaging facility to minimize downtime. Please bare this in mind: while we had backup/multiple packaging companies and various delivery routes, things still will go wrong. There is also testing that must be done, then they can split, packed and sent to the EZP coupled with their CN-22 and be on their way. We will provide more update as they come. In addition, the trade-in and refunds are being processed.

If this is true, many folks on this forum should start receiving chips in the next week or two.

Is he saying there needs to be "testing" done on the chips??...

Bunch of lies as always.
"testing" lol he is trying to lie that they will take each chip out of the tray and 'test' it and then put it back into tray and ship to us.
What is this I don't even...
How hard to understand for ppl do not have a clue about technology.
I try translate it for you:
Various companies take wafer from TSMC cut, packing (assembly silicon structure in the QFN48 package)  and testing.

Additional translation..............   A LOT MORE TIME
Funny, I dont see a terrahash or any TH may 10 and may 16 order??? maybe my dates are wrong or they were in a group buy???
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AiLYkKIHJaIsdHpIaGdUOWRYVUdncTNpNlVKbVhCbEE#gid=0

Did they not secure other people's group buys? Maybe wrong but aside their first 20k chips I think they bought out other bulk orders.
Yes that is correct, but the first 2 orders they showed a copy supposedly of a purchase invoice with their name on it...as far as the other 2 purchases, they were to come from other group buys,,etc,,,so thats a bit of a mystery to me know?? hmm?

This is cool,,,I was wondering when someone would build something like this,,,,I really thought that AMD Radeon would be the first,,unfortunately, it was BFL Sad 600G/hash  wow...asics are going to become so powerfull and competitive that only a few and the strong with deep pockets will survive and be doing all the mining. everyone else will be left with table scraps, pocket change at best. Even if you have 60 g/h now,,,it wont go but so far, for so long anyways.

This whole thing is one big bummer! for everyone. BKK your board design will be and still is awesome and no one knows the future. Nobody has worked so hard and so enthusiastically as you.... don' let this crap spoil your achievements, and you do deserve to be very proud of it. I know I sure would be, no matter what happens!  Smiley unfortunately we all had little choice, but to rely on ONE person, and he has let us down. Plain and simple. Perhaps he will find a way to make it up, despite the picture we see now unfolding.
