P.S. I have unlimited supply of Avalon chips for anyone who wants them for $23 each

lol, Ill take 10,000 please. What a bargain!
3562  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 09, 2013, 02:10:08 PM
Not if they just wanted to delay all the other chips for a bit. They wouldn't have to completely scam anyone, just hold up the delivery of everyone's chips to make a greater ROI and then send them out a month or two later than expected.

Like I said, not accusing anyone, just throwing it out there.
Do you really think they are that concerned for any of their customers???
3563  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 09, 2013, 01:31:32 PM
Some tech firm needs to redesign fpga boards to be more powerfull and enery efficient, get them back on the market. I dont care if its the size of a wheel barrel to produce 60 g/hash or more! this asic sharade really sucks...I dont care which company it is,,they all promise the moon in the beggining and never fully deliver on time if at all. The web sites all look so inviting and exciting....but seems they all hit snags. fpga technology is here and should be developed more. Maybe Im crazy... but i think there is a market for them still if done right and affordable. Smiley
3564  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 09, 2013, 01:12:44 PM
Well the only thing we really can do is wait, Unless Terrahash has a bead on some other source of chips,,,which they have hinted to that, to some extent,,but think they were all inclusive with these shipments as well. But someone sure seems to have some on alibaba? lets wait and see what TH's take is on all this or if they know something we dont know now, as they havent addressed this yet.
3565  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 09, 2013, 01:06:10 PM
Yo guys, the tracking number IS on these boxes, under the Airway Bill number;

http://www.track-shipments.com/track-trace.aspx?pref=AWB&awbno=87150508076

Click "To English" and the tracking number is 87150508076

Doesn't give much information, but it shows that it left on June 25th and there are 135 Pieces.

Well 25th is way over a month, it's six weeks, so TSMC kept their side of the bargain. WTF Avalon has been doing since is anyone's guess, but those chips ain't held up in any customs there, Bitsyncom made receipt of those as confirmed by Gridchip...

135 Pieces (if all chips) would be over 2 Million Chips if my calculations are correct.

Each box contains 6 "Smaller Boxes"

Each Small Box contains 2600 Chips

Thats

135*6 = 810 Small Boxes

810 * 2600 = 2,106,000 Chips.

Obviously what we can see in the picture is a group of 24 boxes estimated at around 300,000 chips.

Either way you are correct, we are not getting any information from this tracking number as they arrived at their destination UNI GLORY INTL LOGISTICS

Great analysis BG. 2 million seems like a lot tho...maybe not...
3566  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 09, 2013, 12:47:07 PM
Does anyone in here really think they would receive a refund? much less a real law suit being started? and by who and from where against who...an office that can close up and vanish?...that will drag out for 2 years if it even got off the ground. I think either case will not happen. So what to do....wait and wait and hope like hell yifu is telling us the truth. Ya I feel a little screwed here at the moment too!
3567  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 09, 2013, 12:40:03 PM

You don't question everything that is put into print? Really? Not a follower of Chomsky I guess.

I am I highly skeptical person. Trust me on that  Wink

That being said, there is zero consistency or useful information in the "news" posted.

For me, total questions answered or address in the "news": 0

If the news answers all the questions you have had you are reading the wrong news or not asking enough questions. As for Yifu's "News" agreed it was 0.

It didn't answer my own questions. Where are the chips I ordered and when will they be delivered? Short of that no one is going to get an answer. I suspect that we are already past the point of caring about those answers and now looking for restitution. It is now refund time or lawsuit time.

I vote refund.
Hey Bicknellski, do you think there is any chance that the chip shipments will start flowing again by the end of next week? as yifu stated? or is that just part of the cushion with the rest of the negative news.... I guess if there is any truth to it,,,better late then never at this stage of the game? Smiley
3568  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 09, 2013, 05:25:38 AM
Maybe TH will strike a deal with some of the other "in hand" chip holders that are out there (being sold for resale not mfg.),,Alibaba anyone? lol
3569  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 09, 2013, 04:59:50 AM
Well if no one is getting their chips soon,,the Network Hash rate should level off soon..... and for what its worth,,he did say, they have found another shipping route and will begin shipping:

We do have more chips coming in via different route next week which will ease this a little bit. (you can take this as chips will resume shipping by end of next week for now.)

So that said, by the 15th-16th chips should be flowing again...I wonder if thats including all of the presumed chips held in customs too, and the new route chips?...oh well so long as someone somewhere starts seeing chips then i guess we just really have to sit and wait. (longer) I suppose someone could snag some chips through Alibaba....lol If desperate and have more $$ to tie up.. Also more chips bought by non devs could start showing up as well,
3570  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 09, 2013, 04:42:54 AM

indeed... Now only if terrahaash has everything in place to make the orders to ship.
Unfortunately, without the basics in place such as meeting the hash rates promised... terrahash deliveries are still up in the air

Lets say customs clears up tomorrow. Still no boards, still no case, still no many many components needed to populate the boards to meet the orders.

Excuses on Force Majeure‎ due to avalon is now done (maybe good for 1 more week?).

Whats next? Stay tuned. This is better than reality television.
I'm not all that concerned about TH being ready WHEN the chips come in. I believe they will be ready.
But yes this whole worldwide battle for asic mining rigs is unreal. It is better than reality TV.....this thread was a reality show in the making early on.. lol
3571  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 09, 2013, 04:39:02 AM
Here's Yifu's actual comment announcing the news was posted:

You know how it is - you've been on a long plane flight - you've been drinking free booze all flight in first class - you get back in front of your computer you've not been near for weeks due to partying, whoring and boozing in Vegas, and it's like
"Hmm PMs and emails while I've been away ... oh well, guess I better say something before I pass out so I can ignore that crap for another week ..."
Wakes up the next morning ... oh crap I said "tomorrow" in the post ... oh well no one will notice anything different if I do nothing for a few days, they're used to that from me, and I am only a PR guy, not like I know anything about hardware or software and have control over anything except delaying deliveries ... ... ...

don't you got better things to do like writing code mr. software engineer than waste time with some first-class-riding booze-drinking "pr guy" like me?

anyhow, update is live on main page. http://avalon-asics.com

Ya he is quite the character.....lol,
3572  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 09, 2013, 04:34:03 AM
Oh come on, I expected more conspiracy theories as to why and how Avalon chips are being made available on Alibaba. Pay off? Stolen chips? Employee theft under duress (threat or kidnapping)?

http://www.alibaba.com/trade/search?fsb=y&IndexArea=product_en&CatId=&SearchText=A3256-Q48

Oh those are just some of the chips held up in customs for a couple more weeks,,,not to worry.  Wink
3573  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 09, 2013, 04:16:41 AM
This is lovely, lets hope Terrahash has something else up their sleeve.

the important right now is for the announcement, about the chip and the order, hope that it will be positive result.
ya i tend to think it will be.... i think this is his way of reminding us tho, of who's da man lol ")
3575  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 09, 2013, 12:52:53 AM
I have nothing against Yifu at all but I dislike when people do announcements of an upcoming announcement. I mean what does that really accomplish aside from showing that someone isn't dead?
He will announce his announcement has been delayed for a month  Cry
3576  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 09, 2013, 12:39:45 AM
The odds are higher that the news is simply:

"Your chips aren't coming for another few weeks, we are not offering any refunds, because fuck you"
or they are not coming at all...  Undecided
3577  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 09, 2013, 12:38:32 AM
What news? Were getting 55nm pin compatible gen 2 Avalon ASIC's instead of gen 1. Grin

I have thought of this too, but it's too good to be true Cheesy
Yes to good to be true, but might would explain the delay in shipping, a possible transition durring production,,or who will get what and when  of 2nd gen and who will get whats left of old...lol but wishfull thinking probably?

Ya it could be that simple...but everyone in the order queue will have to cough up some more bitcoin for em...lol,,, Its the wild west still Smiley
3579  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 08, 2013, 11:01:48 PM

I'll bite,

How in your twisted mind did you come to this conclusion?

I find it ironic that the person that attacks so many people that mention anything, however minor, negative about Terrahash also has the first orders, and yet they are trying to sell it. You never had any dealings with Terrahash prior to this thread, right? I doubt that is the case, but then since you called in the first order, I find it odd that nobody else knew to call in orders. I guess you're special.

Obviously, it makes sense to sell it with ROI falling everyday, although why people would pay a premium over the already high price due to falling ROI (not Terrahash's fault), is beyond me, but people line up to buy the USB miners too. Early resellers made out nicely, as they also get the .17 BTC purchase for each they previously bought in group buys.

As suspected, you are a complete moron.

I came here to make money not to hold your hand while you decide if the money grandma loaned you can make you rich if you buy a bitcoin machine.
No one knew Terrahash prior to this thread besides Cloudhashing.
I didn't "Call in" my order, I'm actually not even sure how you came this conclusion since I stated that I simply checked out with a wire transfer which completes the order without going through the time consuming paypal issues. Landing me the First Order. (Again Logic, something you are not used to)
Anything I "Attacked" anyone on wasn't a minor issue and more than likely just like your post above they were simply making up scenarios to suit their view.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how selling a Terrahash order has anything to do with me not liking them as a company? Again I'm here to make money however I see fit, but I won't jeopardize a start-up company that has done everything correct by asking for a refund when they order parts as needed for your order. It's people like you with zero disregard for logic, others, and ethics that puts me in "attack" mode.

Just to put your mind at rest, even if I get this unit in a month. It will still be profitable for me over time since I have near free electricity.
lol, Im not getting in the middle of this one BG, but the fact of the matter is, Atomic has been mining with over 60 g/hash probably longer than any of us,  and way before Asics..and is a very active trader. I dont believe he had to borrow any money from his grama for a TH unit...lol, he may be lending his grama some money now on the other hand  Smiley I'm sure you got your orders in the same as we all did ,,just had better luck,,I was unfortunate, had wasted 10 orders #'s starting at 502,,till one went thru, thanks to paypal,,,not TH..ok, have fun guys! lol we got bigger issues to worry about anyways..like the big announcment less than 6 hours away from yifu regarding the avalon chip picture...
