This whole deal is completely over, they sounded like the real deal for a short time - they are not, it is clear!
The couple of fanboys on here who keep posting positive stuff about them or slagging off detractors have low post counts and are likely aligned with TH either Amir himself or friends or just people too greedy to not see the truth.

Why did you guys even bother pre-ordering if you cant handle waiting? its been a week..there is no chips and nothing is ready let them work and when end of July comes then get antsy(if they even receive chips by then).

Just because he said it, doesn't mean its true. Unless he shows some evidence, I don't believe him. Avalon is the last company I would ever invest in. OK, then you took your decision, time to move on. Stop worshipping him like a God. His company should be scrutinized for illegal practices. So, Yifu says he prices Batch2/Batch3 and chips not according to their manufacturing cost, but based on profitability calculated by estimated difficulty. And that's why he is offering a refund to Batch3 because the shipment has been delayed and the difficulty has risen significantly.
So if the prices are based on difficulty, why doesn't the chips price go down every day/week? He should keep reducing the prices for new chip orders based on the increasing difficulty!
You can say that legitimate businesses would have a refund policy, but not having a refund policy is not illegal (as long as the promised goods are delivered), and it is clear that the money is needed to actually manufacture the goods, so a refund policy would not be practical regardless of how legitimate the business is.
I know its not illegal to not refund the money. Thats why I said "any legitimate business" and not "any business". Since his product is in high demand, he can always sell it again. His decision not to refund pre-orders makes me smell scam. That's all I am saying Excellent Atomic! |

Just sent out an email. We have secured two additional early-may orders of Avalon ASIC chips. We now have 40,000 chips (all ordered before May 16) which are enough to process all the orders that we received during our pre-order opening. If we get the Avalon chips by the end of this month, we will ship out all the orders by Mid August.
On a separate note, the test board is hashing now. I will post pics/videos tomorrow. Have a great weekend!

I am really on the fence about canceling, half of me says to be patient the other half is screaming to get my refund started now before it may be to late. Their communications since prior to the pre-sale untill now is unsettling at best, a giant red flag at worst. I do not feel that there is malice here on TH's part but their lack of communication and professionalism is telling. I only have 3 K16's on order for $750.00, I could put that money to use elsewhere and buy 10+ btc's at today's < $70.00 rate, maybe buy some more KnC group buy shares but I really wanted to diversify. I will probably hang on the fence here for a couple more days and chime in when I make a decision, good luck to all. What kept me from ordering is I don't think there's anything to claim with Paypal or with Amex if TH doesn't deliver in 30 days. Their T's & C's mention nothing about immediate delivery. In fact, they say that delivery is highly dependent on Avalon, and that they will have 2 weeks to start shipping after Avalon does. So if 30 days rolls around and Avalon hasn't shipped chips yet, is that basis to file a claim with Paypal/Amex?
