My credit card has been charged. I have a zero Pay Pal balance. So they must have paid TH. Right?

It sounds like just your payment actually went through.... and is your order showing processing" ? i don't think" that indicates that paypal released funds to TH tho ?

It says Processing on the TH site. Mine is likely paid. I guess they just send the same email to everyone regardless.  I wonder why the rest haven't went through?

What email are you refering to? the paypal email you receive when you complete a purchase?

EDIT: and did you place your order after they announced they were suspending taking paypal or there abouts? hmmm...lol

My Credit Card has already been charged by Pay Pal TerraHash. So they should be able to get the money from Pay Pal if they don't already have it. My account still says processing. Huh

Same status here on my account/order. Im not a paypal expert, but I think with new or large orders, paypal holds" or more or less has a lean on the money and can hold it. TH is under review, so I am thinking paypal simply is not actually releasing the funds (our order money ) as they are on the hook to reimburse us within 45 days if we are not happy. If they release that money to TH and then something goes south for TH, and the funds are all spent, then paypal will have to cough up the money for all of us, and seprately try to persue getting their (paypal) monies back from TH after repaying us first. So thats my thinking. anyone who knows more on paypal this way, chime in here...lol,,I am not the expert Smiley

Paypal likes to put 21 day holds on funds for new merchants, established ebay sellers who start selling in a different category or there's a change in their sales pattern, anyone who has a sudden large influx of money, etc. basically any excuse they can come up with to hold your money for 21 days, and then if 'in their sole discretion' they decide something isn't on the up and up, they have been known to freeze people's accounts so they can no longer accept payments, get to their money or anything else, and keep your money for 180 days before they'll release it.

I've had an ebay and paypal account for over 10 years now and have been an occasional seller; never had a single complaint registered or chargeback filed; and sold an item on ebay after having not sold anything for awhile, under $200, and paypal locked the funds on me.  Paypal has always been bad, but they got even worse after ebay bought them.

Hey thanks for expanding on that. Well, I guess so long as they (paypal) are going to gaurantee a purchasers purchase, they have the right to set their own rules... just not good for the guy on the other end doing the selling ( TH ),,,but thats why so many use paypal I guess, because they feel they have an "out" when things don't go right. I am assuming, TH was hoping to raise capitol for what ever reasons, by making this move...but for me it seems a bit risky to use other peoples money,,well your customers, to get things off the ground before you have a real viable product in hand and ready to go. Its almost like we are being used as the venture capitalist here...lol and I think BFL did the same!  thx! " Smiley

Just got this email a few seconds ago:

Sorry for taking so long for this order status update.

Here is the update:

PayPal has still not released the hold on our funds. We are still talking to them and trying to get the hold lifted. If something does not work out, we might have to refund all the PayPal orders. In that case we will give all the PayPal customers an option to hold their spot by paying with Credit Card, BTC or Bank Transfer. We have already been approved for a merchant account for Credit Card processing, and the bank will take 2-3 days to setup our account. We are still hopeful that PayPal will release our funds and we won't have to take this step of refunding all the PayPal orders. If not, as soon as our Merchant Account for Credit Card processing is set up by the bank (hopefully before Friday), we will mass-refund all the PayPal orders.

In case of a PayPal mass refund, certainly a lot of customers will fail to repay and hold their spot, resulting in many orders moving up the queue. So please give us another 2-3 days to resolve the issue with PayPal and decide the next step.

Thanks you.

I just received the email at 1:13 pm est  ... better late than never lol,,,,(even tho we had it in here to)

The order queue doesn't mean shit if they don't have a working product, that's the kind of updates I want, where are they at with the development and testing.

All this silly bickering about my order is before yours is totally childish.
So it's not just me who thinks that? I thought I was back in kindergarten.

You both do realise that they are waiting for BKK to finalize the boards. You should watch this thread if you are interested in updates. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=190731.0

If those boards work then the only thing that matters is delivery of chips and their custom cases are in stock with the PSUs.

It pains me to think that you guys didn't know this already......

Thank you for setting the record straight  Cheesy

Well its not childish" when you have a few grand on the line and waited for the opportunity to finally order, and all the while daily earnings are dropping like a led balloon..and who's bickering anyways?Huh lol, but ya Im very much waiting to see a working product, but for now we have to presume thats a given based on why they are even taking the orders now... so....
3873  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: June 24, 2013, 09:09:39 PM
Im sure they will be weeding out any orders that were placed by accounts that were created AFTER the invite date/email went out. As you recall orders were taken breifly when their site was opened to the public Tuesday morning/afternoon after they did a server reset. I know they know this happened and am confident they are looking at those orders if any, and moving them to the end of the queue as that would be the only fair thing to do, and that takes just a little extra effort and time on their part. And those folks know who they are Smiley
3874  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: June 24, 2013, 06:56:01 PM
Sent TH another email with update on my payment just for a good measure. Smiley Never know, lol.

But on chip availability they did say "We have already taken orders for all the chips that we have pre-ordered from Avalon." so based on that I would think that they estimate that all the orders they took in will be covered by the chips they ordered. Just a thought.

Yes I have tried to read between the lines on that statement as well lol, with wishfull thinking. I guess we are all on pins and needles in one way or another. It wouldn't really matter as much if the difficulty and hashrate wasn't climbing so fast. Im afraid if and when we get our boards they wont be earning the amounts I had hoped for or even close? and now BTC is slumping, but it usually bounces back.

Edit: We have already taken orders for all the chips that we have pre-ordered from Avalon

I would assume this means both batches? Sad

Well, I cant get a break in this paying TH for my order, lol.
Just tried to initiate a new transfer from my bank and since their daily limit is $1k I thought I was good....
Well, I sent 1st $500 (max per transaction)  = good.
Tried to send $450... no go.. WTH.. it says I am over the limit.. click here to check. So I check and nothing abnormal I meet all criteria. Even says my max left for today is $500.
So I called the bank... after much talking about this they finally admitted that I cant have more then $1.5k outstanding. Sad Sad Sad
My transfer from Friday hasn't cleared yet so I can only send 2nd part of $ tomorrow sometime after this clears out.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr................... Angry

TH seems pretty reasonable, see what shakes out today and perhaps email them. so your saying you have sent already to Th $500.00? and need to send another 450.00 to complete an invoice? Is order showing pending or something? or Unpaid? Just curious Smiley

My bank shows as Pending for all 3 transfers.. I just got to send another $450 to complete the full order.
TH shows both orders on-hold. So I am crossing my fingers, lol.
They should have the first 3 transfers tomorrow.. 4th one will be Wednesday as I will send it express also.
Hope they will reply to my email... Smiley

Cross your eyes and toes too....lol, nah I would think they will give it the benefit of the doubt if you emailed them. Im sure they would rather have the sale then to cancel you. Besides I thought they were canceling any unpaid orders by Friday evening,,,,so maybe your pending is really pending. As far as email returns, I send one email after the announcment for the early orders, and they returned mine within hours. And another email on Tuesday was answered  a day later, so stay hopefull!

Sounds like today we will find out where we all stand in terms of what production run we're going to be in.  I can't believe this thread fell onto the second page!!!

Looking forward to hearing where we all stand!

If I were running Terrahash I would just be telling everyone they are in, and simply set the start date of shipping to reflect a time frame after they expect the 2nd batch to be in (if truely only two weeks after the first batch?)....that way there would be no hard feelings Smiley my 2 cents lol

Which is why we have an order queue thread to double check TH's claims.  I believe in "trust but verify".

For sure! Hey I feel these guys are trying to be be transparent. They have returned 2 emails with answers, they post their office address and invite folks to drop by and say hello, so I feel they are the real deal and really want to be successful. I always try to trust people until they give me a reason not to, so lets see...

Back to a previous discussion yesterday as to why companys like terrahash shouldn't sit on their products for very long... anyone read this yet? Seems to be happening more and more... not trying to dampen our spirits here, but this is the concerning reality we all face.

http://www.coindesk.com/california-issues-cease-and-desist-letter-to-bitcoin-foundation/

and anyone noticing the slide in BTC last couple of days......

Should this be a concern for those of us who are planning to have TH host our miners? Would it be safer to have them shipped directly and then avoid any possible confiscation by the state of California?

Well in my opinion, I would still go with the hosting if thats your plan... as of now it only seems that the companys that are being targeted are the ones that buy, sell and trade BTC where cash transactions are involved., not so much the makers of the miners,,,,and then they would only be sending the BTC to your wallet from your hashings. But stay tuned! lol, ya never know. But i think the hosting is a safe bet right now. Smiley
