I'm still content with my order even if it doesn't make as much as I thought it might.

I'll be even more happy if they do clock the boards to 350, or if they go higher but I ordered a 180GH Unit and if it does more than that, great!

224GH if the chips run consistently at 350MH - I'd say to expect 205ish. That's an extra "Bitfury $1300 miner" right there for free Wink

The bitcoin price seems to be heading up, there are a lot of new ventures that got backed in the past couple months that are opening their doors, some countries are even getting closer to go through what Cyprus did.

If we get these boards by the end of August (Hurry the F up Avalon) I think we'll be fine.

@Zurg, they've been contacting Avalon, when I went there last Monday they had stated there's nothing Avalon can do and they will receive the chips when they receive them.

I know it is easy to blame Terrahash because they have your money, but don't be ignorant by blaming the wrong company.

Once there is confirmation of chips sent and received, then count the days until your receive your product. That's when Terrahash will be on the hook.

Agreed.

TH has been giving us details of what the staus is on many things surrounding the boards and production of them. And they have been logging into this thread a little more frequently and answering questions. Im sure they are axious to as we are. It would seem they are doing all they can to be ready when chips arrive. However I am still waiting for a support website for downloading software, connecting the boards to power, chaining the boards and so on,, etc....they had responded to an email I sent early on saying this was forth coming?

"WHERES THE CHIPS" lol

If I don't add modules in my hosted Large it will be pretty much useless in 1-2 months. I won't be able to afford even the hosting expenses let alone break even...
I haven't done the figures (too scared ) but I think this is going to be a huge problem for people in the near future. Hosting eating away at your ROI and the dilemma of what to do when it goes negative. You know the minute you pull out and sell it (if your overseas and it uneconomical to ship back to you) then BTC will double  Sad .
You hit the nail on the head! I am mining for 1 reason,,, My faith in BTC and that it will rise in value thus making the investment quite worthy down the road. If I beleived BTC was going to stay at 100.00 then this would be really just  a waste of time. Simple: 45 g/hash income now 424.00 per week. BTC doubles 848.00 per week Smiley Thats the theory as difficulty rises and BTC is more widely excepted. Let hope! Smiley

For those saying that we claimed to have all the components in hand, I would like to quote the following for reference:

For an update: We have all the parts/components needed for assembly of up to 200,000 chips (12,500 K16s) either on stock, on the way to us, or on order due to be delivered within the next 2 weeks.

As for the PCBs, turn-around time for them can be as little as 2 days. Even for an order of 1000 K64s, most shops start delivering 200 boards everyday from the 2nd or 3rd day. There are atleast 50 board houses here in Bay Area.
Hey guys, many of us are wondering ..how many pci-e power plugs will there be on a k64 board...one per board or 4 for each part of the k64 (4 pci-e)?
THX  Cheesy

Each per K16 board. So that is 4 per K64. The K64s would have perforations between the K16s so that they can be separated easily, if need be.
Got it! Thanks! just need an accurate pci-e plug count lol Smiley

I think Terrahash, out of courtesy and appreciation to its first batch customers (us guys)... should consider offering us a Second Pre-order opportunity prior to reopening to the public,,,and maybe offer all of us who have hung tight with them a chance to purchase up to 2-k64's or 8-k16's  (128 chips) for example" at a respectable discount ( even 5-10% Smiley ), But only after the first batch has shipped and been received. Thus giving us a chance to help make up for lost time if any, or just a way to say thank you! If they ship us, then they know we are good paying customers, and it would be easy to to do for Terrahash as they would have the production machine rolling, and they would know, by limiting the amounts of G/Hash we can reorder at max, then there would be no big surprise for them in inventory counts. I think something like this could be a WIN WIN for us as well as Terrahash!...Think about it please Terrahash..... Might would be a good contolled stratigic order move that would serve your budget well and smoothly....Even if only for a limited 12 hour hour order window for us,,,so long as we get an email first! Ok, just thinking outside the box ,,,maybe wishfull thinking but deserves some consideration I would think Smiley
3608  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 06, 2013, 04:00:33 AM
Yep, I must say having BKK come here and inform us of that is all anyone should need. Impressed and unexpected.
ya defintely unexpected.... quite the honor Smiley calmed my nerves a little to
3609  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 06, 2013, 01:30:33 AM
WOW! I do feel a little priveledged to be in in the same thread with Terrahash and BKKcoins in here and online! WOOT!  Wink
3610  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 06, 2013, 01:25:01 AM
Thank You terrahash!

I just wanted to publicly Thank You for making a substantial license payment to me for the boards you have under way. I thought it would be good for your customers to know that you have been taking the steps to make this "officially endorsed". If you ever need my assistance I'm always here.
Hey BKK! Welcome to our little thread here,,,,Thanks for dropping in and sharing that with us,,your work has been remarkable! and it seems Terrahash has been pulling their weight as well, Good luck with everything!

Open notepad:

1.Go to your "receive coins" button, click it,copy & paste that addy in notepad. This is YOUR wallet addy, any BTC sent to it will end up in your wallet & no one else's.
I only have one receive addy,if you have more than one...........I don't think it matters, just pick one.Someone correct me if I'm wrong

2.Now,go to "transactions" button, click it, find the transaction you want to sign, right click on it & click on "show details".Copy & paste the "Transaction ID" in notepad.

3.Your ready to sign a message,go to "file",upper left corner, click it & click "sign message".

4.Copy & paste YOUR wallet addy in line 1.........In the body copy & paste the "Transaction ID".Put your info in there too, what the BTC was sent for & how much (EXACT amount),name, shipping address,etc...

5.Click "sign message" on the bottom,it will generate a unique ID #.Now copy & paste the info from all 3 sections in an email or PM,keep them seperate in the email (don't just bunch em together) & volia!!!!

You just signed a message  Grin

point 1.. This worked for me the first time, then I looked an ass Grin , always double check the blockchain after sending a transaction to confirm your address before signing an message, It wasted so much time for group buys chasing payments..

if you think you have got it,  you can do this in reverse.  VERIFY A MESSAGE

Address : 1DononEbNw8traGfgQpvkV99tRPkat8H7t

start message-----------
This is the message southerngent signed.
end message------------

Signature : HCjjSUOpvoK7HkSvwqc687hHiLwfw8GEaV2wmNuAg8ErQ6Mb58JAhFtuyC9OonjUm9nBs5kbilaaxWc 8Nff4c7Y=

Try it.. then when you have signed a message you can verify it. Only you can sign a message with your address but anyone can verify it..

What does any of this have to do with Terrahash??
Your right, Nothing,Its just helping people out, off topic i know... However there`s nothing else going on here for a longgg while so I think its ok  Wink
Hey this is great info...and don't pay no mind to bebfo...this forum has slowley evolved a little into a nice forum where intellegent people are sharing knowledge. Instead of a gripe forum all the time. People will really want to share things once we get our klondikes! Smiley
THx again,,,the signing is looking good.
And bebfo is hardly ever on in here so don't know what he is bitching about anyways?

*grabs pitchfork* yea! damn them!

while we are still waiting on chips, hope TH caught this:
NOTICE:

There is an error in the K16 Parts List on Github.

R47 is marked as 0603 package but the board requires an 0402 package.

This is a 100 ohm resistor.  Qty 6 should be reduced to Qty 5 and an 0402 Qty 1 added.

I've fixed the error in the parts list but if you have ordered 0603 resistors for production you will need to also order some 0402 of the same. For DIY hand assembly you may be able to fit an 0603 in as a hack. I'll update later as I see how this works out.

Sorry everyone. I thought all the errors had been caught some time ago but this one slipped in as part of the last revision.

It's fairly minor in comparison to the ASICs that never ship, but it's a nuisance, I know.

Yea, already ordered the new part. We have ordered enough components to assemble upto 200,000 chips or 12,500 K16s. The only part in shortage right now is the PIC. But, we have enough of them for 40,000 chips and more are coming in around August 15. Heatsinks will be here next week. The cases were supposed to arrive today, but the shop says they are delayed by a couple days, which is fine for now. Power supplies and fans (for the cases) have been ordered as well. Cable harnesses for powering upto 40 K16s from a single power supply have been custom made, they will be here by next week too.

Sounds good! Keep at it  Smiley
THX for the update guys!

3615  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 05, 2013, 07:17:22 PM
are these guys legit? they seem kind of flaky with responding to refunds, queue position, support tickets and basic communications. also i am trying to find info on how many people cancelled and or got/asked for a refund, if i order now what will be my queue position?

edit: there seems to be alot of backlash on refunds, I just googled them and see a ton of sites badmouthing them, why dont they stand up for themselves?
Ya they are legit,,,,but their communication skills are lacking a bit. I will say this for their defense....they do have a working prototype K16 and was first out of the gate to get it hashing.....so I am still confident they will deliver asap when the chips come in. As always, we all are including TH, at the mercy of avalon....As far as que? if you havent ordered yet,,,then there will be a new que I assume when they start taking orders again,,,their site should still be showing "out of stock" on fully assembled Klondikes.
3616  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 05, 2013, 04:04:36 PM

Were at the mercy of Avalon now  Angry

What are we looking at? End of August, Mid Sept? or later.

No one knows except Avalon, and they aren't saying shit.  I'm not very hopeful at this point. ROI for the TH devices is going to quickly dwindle to nothing if chips don't show up in TH's hands in the next few weeks.

More like the next few days!

Hey gang, (KL and S.gent) thx for the info on canary....super prices! and he sure seems solid with trust! Now if i can just figure out how to send and sign etc,,,lol, but its all there I just need to study his thread again, can't be that hard Smiley

How to sign, post # 410,if the link does not take you to it:

Just change the body of the letter to state what you want, its a great example  Cool

The bitcoin address you sent the payment from is ANY address you RECIEVE BTC with to YOUR wallet  Wink

Just copy & paste the 3 fields in an email or PM & your done!!!!  Grin

Hey I just read through that..its a good example. I may have a question still about this part: where am I generating this address from?

In line 1 - enter the bitcoin address you sent the payment from

I that my address for payment to canary (his receive address) ?

Ill look at it more later got to go get supper for me and my son... Smiley
thx Unacceptable,,,great link!

EDIT: I think I just saw my answer in your post,,,that address would be any receive address generated in my own wallet,,,same as if i was generating an address for receiving payment from a pool etc...
Exactly  Wink
I use the addy from my pool, which I've used since June 2011.It's been a steady addy & is easy to find in my wallet & on my pool account page Grin

No problem,I was confused as hell till I found that guys post  Grin
its becoming clearer...lol, thx again man! so you just use the same address over and over for receive coin,,,for the signature part? (line 1)
when signing...

the address you use for the signature should be the address you sent coin from (you need to check the block change transaction to get the address use http://blockchain.info/ or http://blockexplorer.com/) enter you transaction id in the search and you will find the address ( or addresses, use either one)  e.g. my transaction id was ----     fc3180a4cc196558890bb5e884685464c2d27980beca322bf1f1cfd4dbebdaf9
this returns with my address >>>>>>>>>>   1DononEbNw8traGfgQpvkV99tRPkat8H7t
and that is the address to sign with..

Try it with my transaction then do the same for yours  Grin

OK, I think I got it,,,lol,
For example:
I went to my wallet and looked at a sent transaction to coinbase.
I right clicked on that CB transaction and hit "show transaction details".
I Copied and pasted that long "Transaction ID" number.
I Pasted that ID number in the Bitcoin Block Exploxer Search window and searched.
IT went to a page with a heading "Transactions"
It Displayed a box with a "From Address" and to the left of it it showed the amount of BTC I had sent to CB in that transaction.
So, is the address in the "From Address" box, my address and is that what I would paste in LINE 1 of the signature box window?
Then of course fill in the info for my mailing address etc.

Ok, I think I have it now Smiley please correct me if im still not getting it... I just think Im having brain farts here,,,comes with age Smiley

wow thats the longest round i have ever seen in slushs pool?  but have seen longer on other pools, lol,,,not much btc made today like that Sad

I will answer all the questions asked below as FAQ here:

Q. Are you going to design your own PCBs?
A. No, we will be using BkkCoins' Klondike design. We are already in talks with him for a bulk order. But of course, we are still waiting for specs from Avalon, before he can finish the design.

Huh
wow thats old...yes they are using his design complete with royalty's...but are having their own boards printed from that design locally,,,at least now they are,,,I remember that faq....lol....I think there has been a lot of twist and turns for TH,,,,, putting it lightly.. Smiley

Plus they have a full k16 already hashing....beyond that does it really matter who makes he boards? they got it now Smiley
