Ok guys, here's the deal. Given the current conditions (rising difficulty, Avalon uncertainty, etc.), a lot of people who ordered chips from Avalon are willing to resell their chips at cost price. This was not true a month ago or so, when we made a deal to acquire two additional orders for a premium (We never bought those orders, but only made a deal to pay a premium once they had chips in hand). We have decided to scrap those deals and instead buy chip orders from people who want to get out by selling their order for the price they paid. We have got 3 offers so far. We will re-open pre-orders after buying these.
We will keep you posted on this development.
Also, all these 3 offers are for May orders.
Will resold orders keep their order number? Also say that i buy an order for a K16 that is order number 2000 but i have a K16 in queue that is order number 1000, would i be able to add the other miner to my existing order? Any orders already placed are still in queue, and adding new orders onto your existing queue would be very unlikely/unethical, as it would boot already paid orders up in the queue if you are before them. Thats exactly right.

Hey Don't sweat it Terrahash, since day one you have invited anyone to come visit your office and meet you. You even showed us pics of the new office when you moved in to it. And 2 of our guys have dropped in to see you. So, I trust that you have your ducks in a row right now with componets and soforth. Please stay focused on acquiring the chips as mention earlier, and things will fall in line Thx for the updates,,,,its what we need right now, whether it be good or bad updates

August 07, 2013, 11:59:13 PM #296 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is certainly "life at Avalon." I was poked by the team, to make sure my batch #3 arrived (it did, even after a shipping address mistake, though manual intervention with DHL was required).

That information is no more troubling than the fact that BFL has taken much longer than promised to deliver their orders. Yifu is not answering his phone or replying to emails. Avalon is finally shipping Batch 3 pre-orders the past couple of weeks. It looks like they are holding off of sending the bulk chips to catch up on their batch 3 miners. This isn't us getting scammed yet. It's just Avalon's bad customer service and unreliable order fulfillment procedures. At least Avalon is only 2 months behind and not 12 months+ behind. Everyone is looking for a reason to freak out. Take some xanax and relax. Avalon hasn't bought an island and fled the country or anything. Yifu and Avalon are trying to get into more public offerings. They wouldn't flee with everyone's money.
I mean, come on.... over a month late? How late are everyone's BFL orders?
Whew I was wondering when you would chime in KL! lol, ya I have been snooping around the forums and news bases and havent seen anything concrete on anyone vanishing with 14 million,,,well at least not yet? lol, I dont mind waiting a little longer,,,but boy what assurances and guarantees does TH or any open source orders get from avalon... A bill of sale in Bitcoin,,,no strings attached...except reputation,,,,thats what BTC really is all about,,,,trust,,,but there is a lot greedy crooks out there! They sure are holding lot$ of Bitcoin..avalon

WOW Zurg,,, If any thruth to this,,,,we all be in deep doo doo $$$$$ $14,000,000.00+ in Avalon chips missing, and you thought BFL was bad? (self.Bitcoin) submitted 27 minutes ago* by defconoi Avalon is currently over a month late in shipping over $14 Million dollars in Avalon asic chips to group buys on Bitcointalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=264098.0This could quite possibly be the biggest Bitcoin theft in History. If anyone can contact Yifu Guo of Avalon for chip status/confirmation that they will ship, please do. They have ignored all contact emails and phone calls for over a month EDIT: um this would explain things.... oh noooooo! lol

I wonder why it is so difficult for Th or any of em to simply call up avalon and ask what the ETA is for their chip order??? Ya know? Do you have to speak Chinese or something...lol, I mean with $78,000 per batch ya think there would be some formal line of communications...I understand TH cant build and ship till they have all the parts in house...but what about avalon are they waiting for a shipment of silcon or something lol if anyone has a good answer please post why the big mystery on a shipment anyways

I am the customer. I have not received my product nor was I told that there were no refunds available. I did not agree to any terms or conditions that delineated a no refund policy. If I want a refund for whateverthefuckingreason then I deserve one.
The no refunds policy was actually in place before the pre-orders started. Not their fault you couldn't read. But Amir told people earlier that refunds would be offered up until the ship date. The policy was changed 2 days before the order period was opened up. So it was a bit disingenuous. lol ya it sure was

So what, we got like 7 business days for the chips to be received if we want to see anything by the end of the month... Color me shocked if that actually comes true. lol
Highly doubtful. We still got zefirs 6 batches of chips and steamboats batch before terrahash. Id love to be proven wrong but I think were all screwed Danny That is not correct - Terrahash bought two early May chip batches of 10k each. If things ship in order (or any more chips are shipped at all), then those chips should arrive before zefirs batch 2. From zefir's thread. #10149 April 30, 2013 Chips ordered ฿1,564.20 for 2 items #10137 April 28, 2013 Chips ordered ฿782.10 for 1 item #10105 April 24, 2013 Chips ordered ฿782.10 for 1 item #10037 April 20, 2013 Chips ordered ฿782.10 for 1 item #9921 April 20, 2013 Chips ordered ฿782.10 for 1 item #9725 April 16, 2013 Chips ordered ฿782.10 for 1 item TH also bought out 20k extra chips, a while back from somebodys early order on top of what they ordered.... maybe they will see those sooner???

Yep, just waiting any info on chips here. TH has done it's job so far.., slowly and with a lack of communication to us, but nonetheless at this point they are at Avalon's mercy just as we are. Except the little tiny thing of breaking Federal Trade Commissions regulations, IF they are refusing refunds before a product has shipped. Here come the lawyers. Listen, start your refund process with Paypal or your Credit card and please stop whining here. Stop being an advocate for everyone else and quietly take care of your own business. The sooner you get a refund the faster I can buy up your stuff. 1) IANAL 2) I don't need to start any refund process with anyone 3) I am no being an advocate for everyone I am stating the facts as I see them, my own business is quietly taken care of, thanks ever so much for the lovely advice! If you don't like what I say there is a neato little ignore button feel free to use it on me!! 4) see #1 no need for a refund here, btw if you want everyone refunded why not ask the company to abide by the law and issue a prompt full refund then you will get your wish and can buy up as many as you like. Holy Cow,,,sensitive...

I think Terrahash, out of courtesy and appreciation to its first batch customers (us guys)... should consider offering us a Second Pre-order opportunity prior to reopening to the public,,,and maybe offer all of us who have hung tight with them a chance to purchase up to 2-k64's or 8-k16's (128 chips) for example" at a respectable discount ( even 5-10% ), But only after the first batch has shipped and been received. Thus giving us a chance to help make up for lost time if any, or just a way to say thank you! If they ship us, then they know we are good paying customers, and it would be easy to to do for Terrahash as they would have the production machine rolling, and they would know, by limiting the amounts of G/Hash we can reorder at max, then there would be no big surprise for them in inventory counts. I think something like this could be a WIN WIN for us as well as Terrahash!...Think about it please Terrahash..... Might would be a good contolled stratigic order move that would serve your budget well and smoothly....Even if only for a limited 12 hour hour order window for us,,,so long as we get an email first! Ok, just thinking outside the box ,,,maybe wishfull thinking but deserves some consideration I would think EDIT: Better Idea Terrahash...How about you take all cancelled orders from the 1st preorder, Tally up the chips involved, divide by the number of actual Processed orders and then offer that in a a 2nd preorder for us. Example: Cancelled chips = 5,000 divide by 16 (k16's) = 312/k16 boards divided by actual individual (per person) orders in que say 200 and we all get another crack at 1-2 additional k16s EACH (or whatever in reallity) at regular price Wheres Cryptoin he could could about it give us an exact amount. But you get the idea. So how about TH? It would make your oldest customers happy again! and use up all those spare chips nicely (when they ever get here lol) Would be a great publicity move,,, We could even contact Coindesk.com

lets just redirect our brain powers in pushing terrahash for answers...
Where are these overdue promised items: 1. Pictures of the DX Mini 2. Picture of a completed Klondike 16 w/ heat sink 3. Hashing rate reaching promised rate (not prototype.. i'd expect terrahash to have this down by now hopefully) 4. Invoice/POs of all components 5. Project timing for each step (project management style)
We will all rest better and be more willing to wait when we see those listed.
Otherwise, we feel like we need a refund. Simply because you've over promised and under delivered so far. Time to rectify the Public Relations trajectory if you want repeat customers.
Terrahash, You dont have a product problem (crossing my fingers), you have a relationship problem with your customers.
LOL, we are not dealing with Microsoft or Apple here..... Its Terrahash,,,,,Come on chips!

Strangely enough I work for a custom furniture manufacturer. 11 years now. Lol If we did business like some of these ASIC manufacturers we wouldn't have been in business for last 50+ years.
Can you chime in on refunds for custom furniture? Lol, sure. Might take a few. On the phone and 2yo on the lap. But major differences is that we get paid when customer gets furniture. As far as custom stuff then nearly every piece is specifically designed for that specific order. Returns depends WHO screwed up the order. If customer gives wrong measurement then it's on who did it for them. Any faults beyond that is our problem. So with as many variants of product TH has we wouldn't consider it custom as much. Our custom parts list is in thousands. So in other words we could sell 1 desk with such custom parts that we will not see ever again. Our returns are very rare. Most of them are 1 or 2 prices, so out of $20+mil/yr sales it's nothing. We usually just take fault with anything as retaining a happy customer will always benefit us later. This was a quick cell phone entry with now 2 kids chasing me. Wow great synopsis considering your circumstances! lol,,kids etc...but ya unfortunately we are dealing with a new asic manufacture,,its still the wild west days of bitcoin,,,we have seen how other startups have done,,,most have fallen short somewhere along the way... in what they stated vs what was delivered and when....so, we all knew to some extent there was a lot of "if-ands"-and butts",,as in any pre order situation...do I like were things stand right now? heck no! but it is, what it is now, and here we all are,,TH included....at the mercy of 1 supplier, and if this wasn't a start up for TH, i would be a lot less forgiving,,,,say they had been in business for year and things were already up and running when we ordered,,,but they weren't. So Guess we have to just like or lump it" lol,,, no one made us want to be miners,,,so this is part of that effort,,,and there really is no good alternitives..unless you by a machine in the bid world,,,highly risky and you always will pay way to much! so i say we sit tight and hope the chips hurry up and get in to TH,
