Relax you bunch of frothing at the mouth trolls, you'll get my response soon Tongue

My second son was born yesterday so I've been a tad busy.

For now I'll say that I'm deeply disapointed in Terrahash at this point and they have definitely lost the respect I had for them. That being said I still hope they salvage their reputation and company from this mess... somehow.
HEY congratulations Bar! ,,, Now we all just want you to send us a cigar! Smiley you know aside from the TH mess and all therein, we love ya! Take good care of your precious new little boy!

Lets look at it like this,,If the chips do arrive, I really believe TH and others will work out the bug with the I2C issue. Otherwise they will have to build out the cases with an added built in hub and cables, which i agree would not be as much fun" but would still work but would up the cost per case unit. But I'm sure a solution is there they just havent pursued it with full force until the chips are a sure thing.
3324  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 14, 2013, 02:12:48 PM
In regards to BKK, I dont believe he ever promised a k 64 board, he was developing a k16 only. Other developers like TH and so on, brought into the mix the k64 by chaining using i2c. With that said BKK did deliver on the k16 design. And he did refund anyone who he had finacial commitments to when the chips fell through. Anyone that still uses his board design for k16 in the future will still owe him licensing whether it be gen 1 or gen 2 chips that go in the k16. BKK hasn't deserted his post as some have suggested in here. He has given the required design for the working  k16. So leave him out of the mix where k64 and TH are concerned. Smiley

EDIT: If TH can't get the k64 to chain,,,they can always stick with the working k16 and ship that asap (4 per k64 ordered) Im sure no one would complain.

Good point MMNC. The one thing that appears to be the problem is that BKK has not been able to work out the I2C issue to daisy chain multiple k16s together. I know he hasn't worked on the k64 expansion of the design. It seems like all of the DIY companies have been running into problems with I2C. If that function isn't worked out, we would have to buy a bunch of usb cables and hubs. At this point, I wouldn't mind doing that.  Smiley
Hey ,KL...also a good point...chaining the k16 vs. a bunch of usb cables .... thats true as well  Huh But would still work that way if all else fails. Sorta like having the Blades at that point that don't chain...hmmmm. I guess that was one of the better aspects of using the I2C,,,good point there. Not sure if that was in BKK's original design or came later on...chaining...either way I would be happy to have had 4 working k16's with usb vs. none at all Smiley

Lets cut the redirection of blame crap. At this point it's pathetic. I get the issues, but this was the one thing they had in their court and they failed, after many statements even after the chip and BKK issues that they could pull it off, and they did not. Good lord, no wonder so many people are losing money in this realm, most of you supporting TH just want to make excuse after excuse for them and believe anything they state after so many broken promises. This was the straw.

Again, blame us WHEN we fail.
On a different note...what the hell happened to FTC and even LTC down,,,and all the other alt coins???...lol,,,well SRC is up tonight a little  Undecided
3326  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 14, 2013, 02:16:26 AM
Ya I hear Zurg....lol, as far as the 38 G/h I am thinking about ordering 2 blades or 22 g/h only to help cover my electric bill for my gpu's that are humming away 24/7,,,cost me about 125.00 a month for them to power....so im thinking 22 gh would about cover it,,,for now,,, Sad  the blades are now at 4.6 BTC or about 54.00 a ghash. TH boards with shipping are at 53.00 per ghash,,,so the blades are here and now and can be mining by weds of next week,,,soooooo?
3327  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 14, 2013, 02:02:25 AM
Ok, here is what I was going to say. Smiley

TH should have looked at the people who cancelled order and pulled their $ out, that $ is already gone.
Then they should have mailed EACH of existing buyers and asked if (1 time only!) whether they want to still get the Yifooked product or (since we already know they aren't giving anything back) do they want to convert the $ to the new hosting thing.
The reason "I think" they should have done this is they are paying full price for the chips, their margin was what like 20-30% ? on the whole thing. Well, who the heck is going to buy a 18Gh board for $900 now? So as you can see they'd have to drop the price to attract buyers at that point the profit would be negligible to where why even take the risk and based on customer survey actually be able to cancel however many batches that wouldn't be needed. Heck they could loose even more $ then they paid for the chips if nobody will want to buy canceled preorders etc...

but then again TH comes here and says sorry we know we suck at CS, we'll get better...  then the same thing a month later..  and no changes.

TH would be better to get a chip refund and just refund all in here that want a refund as well, and let the rest decide if that want to go forward with the hosting project and or wait for a bitfurry board or what ever? and wipe this mess up and get it behind them.

PS: I hope you got the kids all tucked up Smiley I really miss those days, I had 3 kids back to back, 2 years apart in age, in my first go around. Now I just have one that came along late in life, (kid #4) lol,,, now he tells me when to go to bed! lol,,he is 17..smart great kid tho...

<blah> <Blah>

Keep holding on to that dream. It's over. Let's flashback to the good times....

As I have repeatedly said, we were and are 100% ready to go into assembly as soon as the chips arrived. We have been fully ready for more than 2 weeks now. All the parts not ordered were the parts that can be delivered in a day or two from multiple sources. How hard is to understand this basic concept?

We have already tested the version 1, and we know exactly what was causing the error rates and that has been fixed in this version. If the boards you get do not work at the promised hashrate, you can blame us then. Right now you have no right to tell us how to run our business. We acknowledge that we have been lousy on customer support (we are fixing it), but on the technical and operational side, we have been very professional and have done everything the best we could do.

The Spartans were parsimonious of patter. When they refused Athenian terms, on one occasion, the herald declared : "If we come to your city, we will raze it to the ground."
The Spartan answer was the one word: "If."
"If" is a two letter word with a huge meaning. If a bunch of gas particles did not get together to form the Sun, we wouldn't be here today.

Can we stop using "IF"?

.... IF only TH could have lived up to their promises. I may be calling it early, but I borrowed Bargraphic's investment eightball and asked it if TH would fail to meet the challenge of getting a SINGLE order sent out in the promised 2 week timeframe:

HAH I love it ....oh yes, those were indeed the good ol days!  Great post Atomic  Wink
3330  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 13, 2013, 02:50:45 AM
Marto has his hex16 board fully operational at very reasonable prices, I see no reason why TH can not outsource this to Marto and still turn a profit, with the exception of components and cases.

The silence from TH is concerning, perhaps TH could comment on the above.

Unfortunately I believe the next words from TH is claiming bankruptcy and then were all fu*ked :/
Never know? start ups fail everyday,,,so long as they incorporated, then its pretty cut and dry for owners to simply say cya! wouldn't want to be ya"

Abusing your irc powers when I make a valid point.  You're exactly who I want running this site  Grin
i refuse to argue with you on my own thread. this project is to support ZET and only ZET. 5% of all sells will go to the Dev fund of the ZetaCoin any further questians or concerns can be directed to IRC or on the facebook group
Hey just passing through....I like the concept of what your doing, Good luck! I book marked your home page for zetasteam. Will take some time and work and talking to get it off the ground, be patient. Smiley

I doubt their even concerning themselves with the klondikes at this point,,,,, theres just no immediate future in it for them. Damage control mode at best now. How to deal with the refunds and stay afloat. And Im sure they are looking hard into the new venture with hosting and trying to get that ball rolling as a means to generate cash flow and are hoping like hell nothing else goes wrong Smiley I really do wish them lots of luck as they sure do need it.

TIP: Say something to your customers TH, good or bad.
3333  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: September 13, 2013, 01:23:19 AM
I saw a post earlier that stated BKK Sent them a board... Could we use that address to find out how hes doing?

Kosta

I think he has his reasons for not being present any more....

I'm sure he does, but he was paid Royalty fees for a finished board/firmware. Hopefully he will be able to just finish that up.

Thank You terrahash!

I just wanted to publicly Thank You for making a substantial license payment to me for the boards you have under way. I thought it would be good for your customers to know that you have been taking the steps to make this "officially endorsed". If you ever need my assistance I'm always here.

The impression I got was that terrahash was quite capable of completing his commitments with the progress made to date without the assistance of BKK.
I am concerned by Bkk's absence thou, not forgetting the legal standing of bitcoin in Thailand is questionable. Lets hope he's OK and will get back to us shortly.
Im confident TH can handle it if they want to or need to Smiley
3334  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 12, 2013, 04:02:53 AM
If BKK wants or needs a month off from all this bullshit I dont blame him one single bit,,,besides whats the rush now anyways...no chips,,,,and no 2nd gen chips I'll bet till after the new year. And then, I'm not sure if he even wants to go there yet. TH and others have enough design data from him to complete any klondikes now.
3335  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 12, 2013, 03:48:01 AM
Hi Amir.

What is the order status of your chips?
+1

Knight, any chance you'd be in the bay area to checkin on this Amir character?

I'm looking at options going forward kooks.

Personally I just want my boards. I don't want any gen2 from Bitsyncom. Steamboat announced in an update letter to buyers that Yifu said the gen2 chips most likely will not ship until November at the earliest. Doesn't build much confidence there.

I'll make some attempts to contact Amir today. If I am unable to contact him, I will make another visit to their office by next week. Things are very busy for me at work and I don't have time to stop by today.

knightlife, didnt you mention you were a police officer? Or am I thinking of someone else? If so can you call in a favor to hunt these guys down?

Yeah,  call in the SWAT.  Smiley
LOL

It's good to hear that you've come back to the world of the living TH.
Now can I please have my refund of my order #630.
I'm not going to wait for that Yifu bastard to clusterfuck us again with his "business done right" bullshit.
He can stick his 2nd gen. chips up his ass!
Im sure many here and in the DIY community feel that same way,,,you have a great way with words! lol
3337  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 10, 2013, 08:26:06 PM
I wonder, out the estimated 600,000 they took in pre orders (based on cryptoins early estimates), was in the form of BTC and or cash? and how much do they have left in the balance? I know there has been a slew of CC chargebacks and Paypal refunds..... plus by the way, most C Card companys will go after a chargeback beyond the 60 day mark if you never received the product.
3338  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 10, 2013, 08:16:09 PM
TerraHash I know your reading this. Come on, seriously. This is fu*king frustrating! I want my refund? Order number 1230. You dont answer tickets or phone calls this is ridicules! Seriously, give me a refund PLEASE.
TH has already said that if you want a full refund it is a 3 month wait.

That is BS. Its a long stall. If you dont keep asking your never going to get it.

And with the 70% refund? Is that 70% and game over? Or 70% now and over time we will get the 30% back?

Hmmmm....When they made the gesture to refund 70% now and the balance in 3 months,,, That, they would begin the refund of 70% like right away...or is that part being delayed as well....so when does the refund process start?Huh that is the question....
3339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SRC] SecureCoin | A Fast and Secure Version of Bitcoin | LAUNCHED on: September 10, 2013, 11:59:51 AM
I setup a p2pool (2%) for securecoin.

Please join and provide any feedback! Grin

Quick tutorial:
1. Get minerd64_sse4.exe here https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxKqW4aMUczmaTVfWjZEdnpqLVk/edit?usp=sharing

2. Run this at cmd prompt but put in your Securecoin wallet address!

Code:
minerd64_sse4.exe -a quark -t 8 -o http://www.japool.com:17339 --userpass=YourSecurecoinWalletAddress:AnyPassword

*Change this "-t 8" to the number of cores you have I have 8.  If you have 4 cores change it to "-t 4" if you have 2 cores change it to "-t 2"

The p2pool is still up and running!

You might have trouble with my website (http://209.188.16.220).  It should be fixed in the 24 hours but the p2pool works fine.

+1

I got back to mining there...great pool.
back on it as of 6pm last nite,,,going to track earnings again for 24 hrs and compare. Currently running 24 cores. about 3,000 k/h for now.

If anyone in these forum
Put money at terrahash for their hosting
Will be the most stupid person at world

Why? Terrahash's faults lie completely with the Avalon chips.  How can we judge a company on their product when they don't have all the parts for a product?

inb4 "Because they wouldn't have had the boards completed!#!#@!@!!"

Even though BKK never finilized the K64 code between boards,

Even though Terrahash is actively in that thread helping people and asking questions,

Even though Terrahash had one of the first boards operational (Even if it had HW Errors)

Even though Terrahash now has the K16 Boards completely finished and working with < 1% hw issues.

Even though the same individuals that apparently think "What-If" Scenarios hold any weight in the real world.

Check-Mate
BG you remind be a little of "Baghdad Bob" I think your a little in denial, still believing your massive order of chips and boards will come one day and still be worth anything, let alone be able to sell or sluff them off to someone on ebay... but I admire your loyalty to the cause and TH Smiley not that TH didn't have the potential...but?
