So is anybody still unconvinced that this is not a scam?

Lol i was convinced when they could not put hardware together and missing deadlines within my days of refunds of papal.  They were salesmen with no r&d, production, prototyping, customer-service, and so much more.  They had to know when they could not meet first deadline and kept quiet, then released eventually a prototype hashing slow with hardware errors.

btceic i still give you huge credit taking crap, and always saying logical things about TH.  Some will say you were trolling, but honestly people i hope see now TH did not add up no matter what logic you used.

If they would have switched directions when hitting road bumps they could have made it.  But instead they were quiet.  And people vouched for them and some unfortunately took them for their word.  Knight where are you!!!!

The following is my opinion and I'm not a lawyer and cannot prove or disapprove anything.  I am not passing this as liable/slander.  It is meant as only suggestion for thought (I make many stupid statements this could be one of them when coming up on it my mind was thinking about porn)... ok now that i have said that so i dont get my ass sued.   If you have a lawyer you might have them look into Knight, he verified chip shipments.  He i believe said he saw Amir log into 1 account and saw all the chip orders...... 20k i believe they never did purchase....  So if you can find Knight.... maybe you have something good there maybe not.  Food for thought.

Notlist.... You really should lay off of the porn. What an idiot. Number one: TERRAHASH PURCHASED 40K CHIPS! THE ADDITIONAL 20K THEY CLAIMED TO HAVE BOUGHT, BUT DID NOT, WAS IN ADDITION TO THE 40K!

I verified it and documented it. Everything I did was in good faith. I am not liable for anything in this debacle you idiot.
In addition, I changed my feelings about Terrahash when it became apparent that they were not following through with their promises in early September. In the past month, you have quoted me from July and August, which is foolish. Isn't anyone entitled to change their opinion? Oh, not when you are a dealing with a child living in their parent's basement. Things have changed with Terrahash, that is clear. I made it clear that I was not happy with them. I even advised the board against trusting in any "Gen2" avalon crap. I'm not liable for anything. I didn't tell you to make your purchase back in June. I asked everyone to think clearly and not refund back in late July/Early August. During that time frame, I thought TH was legitimate, and I think they were working in good faith during that time. I changed my mind when TH did not show any logical business sense when Bitsyncom failed to deliver. I still don't think that TH was a scam. They have made bad business decisions and are becoming a scam by default. They could have handled this differently and possibly come out ahead, but they did not. So here we are..

I have dozens of close friends that are judges, and more contacts in law than you can fathom. It's my background. Advising people here to send their lawyers after me would be an exercise in futility and would waste their money. I clearly was acting in good faith when I reported what I found out by visiting TH. I did not gain anything from my trips. In regards to my "SPECIAL DEAL TO PICK UP MY BOARDS AT THEIR OFFICE WHEN READY", that was a delivery option when we bought our boards! I live 3 hours away and figured I could save money by picking them up. It was an option you could select when making a purchase. Not some special arrangement I made with them behind the scenes. You are now the first person I am placing on Ignore. What a waste of oxygen...

Bar has things well in hand in this thread. He and I are in discussions outside the board. I am working to recoup my losses. Staying away from this thread helps my blood pressure.
Hey KL,,, hows it going,,,I have pretty much backed out of this thread other than to read in here and there, but don't sweat it, I for one believe and know you were acting in good faith in this thread,,,,plain and simple. I wish you lots of luck in your efforts to retrieve your investments.....I held on in hopes of seeing TH come through, even hoped for a miracle when it started to look bad,,,,but got my chargebacks before shit really hit the fan. Take care if I dont see you in the forums, but some how I feel I will again,,,,,,,early on I know i had my doubts about you, but you changed that opinion long ago,,,take care!

Look, there are a lot of people out some large amounts of cash here.  It would be best if we could keep the squabbling off this thread so we can work towards some type of resolution to this.  It's a bad deal, and some people seem personally offended by others in this thread.  But continuing on in this fashion isn't helping anyone.

I vote we start working towards some type of resolution.  Be it a group legal action (class action) or useful info (such as how to reverse PayPal after 45 days).

I agreed with this,

So you guys can keep you nonsense up, I'll be here giving out every bit of information I can about Terrahash and the lawsuit that I am able to for the benefit of the customers.

Note: Cloudhashing said they are also taking a legal stance against Terrahash in the CoinDesk article. Maybe they will also help provide any information that might be useful.

I guess it's safe to assume that Terrahash never refunded Cloudhashing.
ya apparently they scalped cloudhashing as well....... we all thought they did the preorder to pay them off way back then,,,,,,hmmm?

I see the Pied Piper of Terrahash is back........ I won't mention any names Smiley

Gotta love Yifu and avalon,,,lol, in my email:
I guess Terrahash was just a day late and and a dollar short.......

FROM Avalon:

Avalon turns One years old

What a roller coaster ride it has been

We went from the last to enter the ASIC mining market crowd-funded by the community to the first to shipping a consumer product in little over 4 month. On this journey, many mistakes were made, tons of things were learned and we will continue to grow as one of the groups to keep mining decentralized and support the DIY community. Those are our goals.

In the up coming week we will doing a clearance sale on the refunded chips as well as some mining units and modules to close generation one and move on to a pre-sale-less generation two of the Avalon Project.

Stay tuned as many more exciting news will be announced in the coming week.

Oh look, he actually did go back and delete them, but I have them logged now. What a pansy, needs to hide how wrong he was. Man up Bar.

I was just going to post this, he had over 1000 posts as of yesterday! I guess his lawyer told him to delete all of those cheerleading posts!

I already archived them all and will post them to pastebin shortly.

Thanks!
Ya I think when confronted with all his quotes all in one place, it must have become too much to bare for him....lol just won't be the same now will it....well this thread is doomed anyways, but it certainly has been an exciting ride huh! Smiley

Some events happened last week, that have forced us to make a decision to go out of business. A lot of issues compounded to press us to do this. The failure of the Klondike project was one. Chase, our bank, shut down our accounts. Also the delay in the shipment of the chips has resulted in a lot of customers asking for refund. We already owe a lot of money to PayPal, and with all the refund requests, it is impossible for us to continue our operation profitably. So we have decided to dissolve the company.

We are going to ask for a refund from Yifu. As soon as we get a refund from him, we will start refunding all the orders. We will be able to refund about 50% of every order with this amount. We are trying to get our money out of Chase, which will help us refund another ~5% of each order. We are trying to return as many components as we can, and as soon as we get more money back, we will send additional pro-rated payments to each order.

Once we get a refund from Yifu, we will be sending an email to everyone asking for a current Bitcoin address where to send the payments.

So out of all the money you received, you blew through over half of it AFTER Yifu refunds the chip orders?

By rough estimates, you blew through $300,000 to $500,000.  Only offering a 55 percent refund on orders is lame.

I can't imagine.  Well, I can.  Were you doing blow and buying Herman Miller chairs for the office or what?  How much skin do you have in the game here?

Well you know how it is, new company cars, trips to see venders and suppliers in other countrys, company picnics, (a few home repairs, new garage, remodels etc) just usual and customary business expenses. Oh and Im sure plenty of new highend high powered hashing gear, maybe 20-30 terrahashes worth, from cointerra, KNCminer paid for with untraceable currency, a/k/a (your pre order BTC funds) for their own personal use after the fact. Ya, running a small business can be brutal sometimes for the owners Smiley

I was never once wrong, game set match.

BAR, Just a suggestion:

I think it might just be easier just for you to simply say I was wrong about TH, and they sure had me fooled all along and Im sorry for defending them, lesson learned. And to Atomic and any others that I attacked or mocked, in the name of Terrahash's defense,  I apologize .

Thats all you have to say and Im sure we would all try to understand that maybe the thrill of all that hashing power simply went to your head and now your back down to earth with the rest of us Smiley

I have a modest proposal for Bargraphics, Atomicchaos, and possibly MinermanNC.

It is obvious that the three of you have personal problems with each other. Ok, two of you with Bar, to be specific. And it's obvious that all three of you are proud men who don't like to back down.

So.

Why don't y'all come out to Idaho and fight it out. I'll sell tickets, video the event, and split the profits with you.

That would be fun, he might use his "very large wallet" as a deadly weapon though.

Of course that said, it's a whole lot more than two people that have a problem with bar, but I'd gladly represent them.
LOL...thats good.... that large wallet could be dangerous,,,of course it my be a tad lighter now after all this ....

Gee TH "going out of business" who woulda thunk, and I was called unwise and childish by DUKE and bar called me an amature one or 2  pages back,,,,,,,well let me tell ya something, MR Duke and bar, I  had enough insight and wisdom and f**king sense to get my chargeback started before the 60 day cut off, knowing the banks would most likely pull the plug on their accounts.... it appears my wisdom and age came through for me on this one.

PS: YOU WILL NOT SEE YOUR MONEY FOR A LONG LONG TIME IF EVER, especially if they are going into bankruptcy,,,at best PENNIES on the dollar..... and it will all be perfectly legal you get what you get based on their assets and cash on hand. Been there done that,,,but what do I know right? or even Atomic for that matter..... ATOMIC tried hard to warn everyone over and over, I am glad I looked to him for advise and his honest opinion in another forum on what to do here,,,his advise saved me 3,000 THANK YOU ATOMIC!!!! (even tho my gut was telling me to get out while the gettn was good) Smiley

You know what they say "Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while"

That being said, we have heard it all before, you paid with a credit card/paypal and got your money back. Great! Maybe your "age" is preventing you to understand that this isn't about people that paid via CC or PayPal anymore as they all received their money back.

You are an amatuer, as all you do is play captain hindsight.

Better to be Captain Hindsight than Captain Failhard Doesntlisten.

(I gave Bargraphics over a month of advance warning, telling him to get out of Activemining while he could.  He called me an "asshole.")

He's stuck with 97,000 Active shares, for which he paid 0.0017 but now can't sell for over 0.0012.

So Captain Failhard, tell us again who the amateur here is.   Wink
Thats right! by golly.. Smiley

I couldnt have said it better myself +1

And this is exactly why regulators are going to argue Bitcoin has no consumer protection, unlike the major credit card companies. The people who paid these guys in Bitcoin can easily get screwed over.

Agreed. Which is exactly why there needs to be a similar scheme in place for bitcoin. Or more than one. Mining is just a piece of the game.

And what 'consumer protection' is in place for cash $ ?  Bitcoin is just a currency.  Currencies do not ever have built-in consumer protections.

That being said, there is no reason why you couldn't eventually get a credit card that DOES give you protection AND let's you pay your bill with BTC if you want to.

Yep. That's exactly what I'm saying. Bitcoin needs a company or companies to issue credit/debit cards in bitcoin. If I had the technical wherewithal and the funds, this is what I would pursue over mining. It would make mainstream adoption way easier, offer consumer protection, and give the regulators something to target that actually kind of makes sense. Bitcoin, in itself, is just money. You don't send cash by mail or give it to strangers for the same reasons.
Guess this is where escrow accounts come in.... with BTC

LOL.... Hindsight is 20/20 woulda, coulda, shoulda.......... at least i got his one right for a change,,, Oh and ah there is still many that paid cc or paypal still on the hook,,,,How did you pay again anyways? BTC? OR wire?Huh

If you paid PayPal there is no point for you to do a lawsuit. You can get your money back. You just gotta keep calling again and again until you hit the right representative. Even if your past due the charge back period.

I paid wire transfer so there is obviously nothing I can do besides a lawsuit.

Anyways, this 50% refund is bull shit. I am beyond pissed and this is just non sense. They are just extending time again and unless you take action you wont get anything.
Once they file Bankruptcy its all over folks,,,end of game, over ,,notta,,,nothing coming back,, etc etc etc,,, their creditors get theirs first... Paypal,,and banks...
EDIT: and this BS about yifu? huh! lol,,,, kiss your BTC good bye baby
