what concerns me,,,I don't see BTC value rising proportionally to the difficulty yet..   Huh

Nor will it. There is no direct supply / demand correlation with difficulty. If anything, it could cause a larger availability of coins, as those who are getting them may need to sell immediately to pay for their ASICs.

Lol ..true!

Food for thought. When I ordered my 45 G/h June 18th from TH

My expected earning where $128.00 per day. NOW after the next difficulty rise (in 1104 blocks to 98961309) My daily earnings would be $27.54 per day.
Down $100.00 per day,,,and BTC was somewhere around where it is now.

Like I said earlier ,,,by the end of the year things are going to get pretty challenging to mine for BTC.. crazy hash rates on the horizon.

They should cancel Avalon order and convert existing orders to the new venture as well as refund who asks.
Avalon is the lost cause at this point.

They honestly should. And 3 months is just stupid. We all know its a long stall.

I am very skeptical about the time frame for them actually to be up and running with hosting....I just dont see it till after the New Year. So to start taking preorders so soon,,,,is about the equivelent of taking preorders for klondike boards back then, and we see how that has gone now. I feel its just another FUND raiser  (the new preorder) to gain capital for expenses, and to cushion the blow right now for all the refunds they are facing on the klondikes,,and will have to be paid back. Seems the hole is just getting deeper for them bless their hearts Smiley

Will your miners you have on order be worth anything by the end of this year if any of this comes to be?

This is just one of many..... coming on line soon,

Unless you have tons of cash to tie up you will be just a a little minnow fish surrounded by whales in a small lake. Personally, Im not spending another dime on asics till I see where this is all going to level out at, if at all. I really dont think anyone will see any ROI on their purchases for asics. The only ones making any money will be the manufactures and its investors, and the already well established large mining farms. I think the future for the little guy will be in Alt Coins, which there are some doing very well. Smiley Now we just need someone to develop better scrypt mining hardware....could be the next asics".

Sure, .4BTC in last 48hours on my BF Smiley
Average hashrate in last 10 rounds: 37895 Mhash/s
Hey thats great Zurg! but I was refering more towards the end of this year Smiley

your estimated income today is: BTC 1.534578      $186.77 per week! go get em while ya can! lol

PS: and how much did that unit cost you?

I just got a lowly 25k kit for $1.3k. Dave actually threw in another board  since they had problems getting 25k per board. So with 2 boards I am getting 38 to 40hg/s.
Got up to 0.50322280 BTC now with 53 hours running.
So not to bad. I am probably going to order me some October cards from him.
BF's customer service is bar none! I sent Dave a PM, had reply in 1 hour and that is every time I PM him.
I tried calling TH for a week straight couldn't even get through once. Sad

you have a chance,,,lol, if nothing were to change starting now,,like that pesky thing called difficulty" you will see your ROI in about 7-8 weeks,,,,bet your sure glad they tossed in another board! Smiley I wonder what TH will do to help make things right?

Miner-

You are dead on.. Chasing ASICs at this point is not a wise decision. There is slightly more life left in the Scrypt market, but hash rate is increasing there as well with all the small miners realizing that BTC is not profitable.

Math is a weak point of many still buying, I can't tell you how many people I still see stating that they just bought a bunch of USB miners! I mean it is fine if you're in it for fun, but if this is an investment, people really need to take a closer look.

If you get the latest miners before others do, you have a chance, but very few can.

Presumably their deal is with Cointerra.  It could also be ActM.

If you want to wait till November to hash, I'd get a refund and buy ActM shares. eASIC put out a press release talking about their chips.

http://www.easic.com/vmc-uses-easic-to-achieve-24-756-ths-bitcoin-miner/

I still think Labcoin is a better deal, but for people who JUST HAVE TO HAVE 28nm, this proves ActM has a real chip in the pipeline.
Yes have been watching cointerra, very impressive, but so is easic. They both are going BIG in design plans. This will get real interesting before the end of the year.

TH could you give us a an update on the the chip orders? Some others had said they got "pre-shipping" notifications from avalon

No update on our orders yet.

By the way, I am glad to see you guys moving more towards the future with hosting. Lets face it, hashing/mining BTC ourselves, is out growing all of us just way to fast to make any real profits. As in most things, there will be strength in numbers, such as 2 peta hash! and thus hopefully on going/continuing profit for all involved. So far I like the concept in theory. But, it will take the working miners in place for it to become reality. keep us posted! Smiley

I just slapped a phenom x 6 black 1100t in one of my GPU mining rigs,,,had a sempron 145 in it lol,,,at stock, 3.3ghz i am getting 140 K/h per core. so 840 in all. (only using 5 cores for src) I had this CPU sitting on a shelf for the last 3 months wondering what i would need it for..lol, so now it has a purpose Smiley PS: I will overclock it see if its worth it and let ya know....

They can convert my 2 K64's to this...

Anyone thinks it's a bad idea? lol
I mean besides having them hold my $ for 2 more month. Smiley
I think thats an excellent idea Zurg and anyone else who wishes to do so, plus the 20% credit towards the preorder package. Smiley

TerraHash to Provide a Hosted Bitcoin Mining Solution for $6/GHash in November

B September 5, 2013 at 3:08 am
2 News

Santa Clara, CA (PRWEB) September 05, 2013

In a move to significantly reduce the costs for mining Bitcoins, TerraHash has announced a hosted solution of 2 PetaHash mining power at the rate of $6 per Giga Hash. The company will create a Bitcoin mining farm, and sell portions of the mining power to its customers.

Matt, the company spokesman explained, “We are in the final stages of signing a groundbreaking deal with a leading Bitcoin ASIC manufacturer. Leveraging their 28nm chip technology, we plan to host a mining farm starting with at least 2 PetaHash in November. Our customers will be able to buy blocks of 500 GigaHash of mining power for $3000 each. This will include all manufacturing and storage costs for hosting the equipment. Customers will pay a small monthly fee, which will cover electricity, maintenance etc. Our data center will have a 99.9999% up time guarantee. Being located in the Santa Clara county, we have access to some of the lowest cost of electricity. This allows us to create economies of scale for the mining world.”

Terming it as the next natural evolution of Bitcoin mining, he compared the plan with services provided by other cloud computing companies. “For instance, we have seen the computing industry evolve in a similar fashion. Initially, companies hosted their own servers in their offices. Then, we saw the emergence of data centers which provided with the optimum infrastructure to run your servers efficiently. Finally, a few major players (like Amazon, RackSpace) began providing the end user with the flexible concept of renting storage space, without being bound to the physical hardware. We expect a similar transition in the Bitcoin mining world,” he said.

At a time when most Bitcoin mining equipment manufacturers seem to be more focused on accumulating maximum pre-order money, TerraHash is once again planning an innovative strategy. They plan on only taking 25% of the money upfront, and the rest when the hardware is ready to be hosted. Pre-orders will open up this coming week, and mining is set to begin by end of November. The company also plans on offering an “insurance” plan for the customers, to cover up any potential delays in the timeline for mining.

Matt further said that, “We have learnt a lot from our experience assembling Avalon ASIC chips. Customers want a solution that can be delivered very fast, because of the ever increasing network difficulty. On the same hand, they do not want to risk a lot by investing in an unproven technology. By only demanding a 25% reservation fee, we are reducing their risk significantly.”

At $6 per GigaHash, the pricing is nearly half of the nearest competitor. Along with that, a November timeline would promise delivery much earlier than any other company. In an industry where time to delivery is the most critical element, TerraHash claims to be heading for the final evolution in Bitcoin mining.

More details will be coming soon.

Ok, my earnings 5.63 just showed up in one lump on cryptsy,,,THX!

THX feeleep for fixing payout Smiley

i didn't do anything - this was clearly cryptsy issue I believe. Payouts were working OK all the time but I am checking your income.
Hey I suppose it could be/is cryptsy....i also, just now had a lump of cgb show up on crypsy??? Note: my payout of src is still unconfirmed on cryptsy. Will see what it does. Everything seems a little squirley from last night lol. However apples to apples... i did earn 14 src on p2p and 6.45 on CM, in approx. same time/hash frame..... i know your still tweaking things. I will do a same test again soon.

p2pool had to be extremely lucky as I checked algorithm shared earlier in this thread (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AsoEvtUcZSjWdDJzd3Riek9Mb2RwUVhubUdrdEthclE#gid=0) and with your hashrate (600kH) and difficulty 793 you should get around 19.5 SRC/day.

You earned 6.45 on my pool in 6h which gives lets say 25 SRC/day (we probably has some luck as well). If you got 14 SRC in p2pool in 7 hours then go and play lottery Wink

feeleep
nah the lottery never has treated me that well...lol,,, You almost sound like you dont believe it?  14 in 7hrs ...like I said I will run a bench again and report back soon Smiley I may post a screen shot if needed to prove what I am saying, but shouldn't be neccessary. Smiley beginners luck maybe? lol
