I would like to bet whatever is equal to TMAN's monthly pay, which is his 2017 taxable income divided by 12.

However, I couldnt afford that

so I will bet 0.01 BTC that the pharmiest is not lauda

Just been hear choking on popcorn for a while, but is this a clever way to hedge your bet, lol. Not looking to be rude, just made me laugh
3843  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling Various RX 570s/ 580s on: February 24, 2018, 05:35:15 PM
OP- Are you willing to accept forum trusted Escrow? Where would you be shipping from, and is shipping included in the price?

So you have photos of the items you could post for proof of ownership? (maybe include handwritten note with Forum name and date in the picture)

How long have the cards been running, I might be interested in the Armor 8GB

You should start your own thread, pretty bad form to hop in here and advertise your site.
3844  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTS] 5 Bitcoins for sale on: February 21, 2018, 04:21:55 AM
Not sure of your location, but I know someone in Winnipeg who was doing deals in person, and might be willing to buy up some of your coins. Other than that it is way out of my league.

Before anyone "touches base" with you and wires you $55k you should discuss your terms of sale here.

Email and Skype are shady platforms for discussing deals. They are best openly discussed here to give you and the buyer an opportunity to be transparent, fair and, most importantly, safe.

You must also know that a trusted escrow is strongly recommended for the safety of all parties involved.

As for e-transfers, be aware that they are reversible. The service provider, Acxsys, is known to reverse e-transfer transactions if there is any element of fraud involved, proven or otherwise. When the fraud defense is invoked, the sender usually succeeds in reversing the payment. Be very careful of this payment method. There were several Canadians on Localbitcoins who lost coins and money AND had their accounts frozen as a result of the reversal.

Wire would be a safer method for as long as you can conclusively and definitively identify the sender of the wire. Assuming you do have the 5 BTC, do not underestimate the importance of doing due diligence if you want to stop scammers from stealing them.

Use wire and do not instruct escrow to release coins until the money is credited to your bank account with finality. Never rely on screen shots or pics of receipts as a basis for releasing coins. Don't allow the buyer to pressure you to release the coins earlier even if evidence of payment is presented. Wait for the money to appear on your account. Do not take checks (cheques), money orders, drafts or anything similar. If you are offered a cash deposit to your account, double check and make sure it's cash and not a check.

As for the buyer, use a trusted escrow forum for a secure trade. Contact the escrow directly and wire money only after the escrow confirms the coins are in his control.

Just thought I would add, I like the way you lay out your warnings for both potential buyers and the seller. It's not often you see a well reasoned warning.

I believe there was a promise of a review/video from a canadian 6 to 8 months ago?
What ever happened to this? Did I miss it somewhere?

No you did not miss anything.

There has not been any solid proof of a marketable product presented. This has been spun many different ways. Some say great marketing tactic, some say scam/vaporware.

Honestly whatever it is this product deserves no further attention until it actually materializes for the many people who pre ordered, or it goes up on the list of vapor ware.

The first thing that will prove some units exist and hash will likely come from Phil, when he gets the units he has posted about from Yoshi.

3848  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] RX580 1080Ti - Brand new on: February 20, 2018, 04:17:55 AM
Yes I wish everything had gone differently.

As I said when our deal fell through, make sure you communicate timelines accurately and execute them in a timely fashion. Also if you are going to be out of communication for a few days let people know.

I became worried when I  wasn't hearing anything from you and I reviewed your post history. A few things or ideas expressed did cause me concern.

All in all, our deal just resulted in both of us wasting time, and missing out on hardware or money. The seller did refund me fully and we went our separate ways.

As you can now see, not that I have a massive amount of trust built up, you would have had an easier time arranging your sales. I wish you the best in your dealings and that all deals meet everyone's expectations.

My other post in the thread pays you a little homage for your heat removal abilities.

EDIT: Feel free to disregards, didn't pay attention to this being for Alt coins.
3850  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Mining Electricity Questions (AMP-Breaker) on: February 20, 2018, 03:53:36 AM
In regards to handling your intake and discharge air, you have a few options. One is to create a wind tunnel that your ten miners and power supplies will sit in with the discharge of these units about 3 feet away from your main fan discharging air out of the space. Making sure that you have a filtered opening elsewhere in the garage to allow the free flow of ambient temperature air for cooling.

The other option uses the same idea but with a mini room built for you discharge air. The miners and power supplies themselves run through the wall with intake on one side and discharge on the other. You still need to have a discharge fan set up to remove the air from the hot side, and an adequate filtered opening to allow cooling air.

Without knowing what your garage has in regards to windows or air intakes it's hard to give you any more than theoretical ideas. Here is a link to an idea for the wind tunnel idea.

Not my idea just something I found useful once.

3851  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] RX580 1080Ti - Brand new on: February 18, 2018, 07:19:00 PM
Hi guys

I did try and purchase some gear off OP. Phil you may recall in your thread when I was asking about different branded cards. The deal fell through.

Here's how it went: I had a thread looking to buy cards and OP  responded. After some back and forth I decided to go through with a purchase of 6 cards using PayPal G&S.

After initial payment the payment was returned, it was a larger payment and the funds were in hold in Op's account.

He then invoiced me for 3 separate orders broken down into 3 cards each and one including shipping.

After payment we did communicate daily for 2 days as I tried to verify he placed the order or had the cards. He then contacted me presumably from his shop or the shop he purchases from, saying he had different cards on hand and that they would be a little cheaper, or I could pay a little more and step up to different cards.

This was a second flag for me the first being the returned funds, this one because in the PayPal terms multiple payments for 1 item voids the protection.

I had opted for the cheaper cards and a partial refund.

After this he began to ask where in Canada I was presumably he was thinking of delivering the cards to me, as he said he was coming for a business trip; first time it was mentioned. I told him I wanted the cards shipped.

I heard nothing for 3 days then started a dispute with PayPal. At this poi t OP contacted me and said he couldn't do business with someone like me, even though I said if he could prove shipment or ownership of the cards I would drop the dispute. At this poi t he was also apparently landing in Ottawa.

I received all my funds back through PayPal. So there was no loss in my part. And we parted ways.
3852  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Mining Electricity Questions (AMP-Breaker) on: February 18, 2018, 01:10:58 AM
Hey there,

So with a little more info in regards to what miners you plan on installing in your garage will help.
Here is a formula that breaks down electrical calculations to the simplest form watts/volts = amps

Using this if you were say running Avalon 821's
They are quoted at 1200 w.

You could set up 2 30 amp 220 volt circuits. And 1  20 amp 220 volt circuit ( or just make this a 30 amp like the others)
By using a PDU you can distribute the power to 4 miners per circuit.

The break down is that on a 220v circuit these miners draw less than 5.5 amps each(less because It's actually a 240v circuit)

You will probably want an electrician to install anything but it doesn't hurt to have an idea if what you need

3856  Other / Meta / Re: 500plus activities still a Sr. Member on: February 15, 2018, 12:17:48 AM
Hello guys just wondering why is it Im still a Sr. member while my activity count is already for Sr. member.  Is there a bug or new adjustment from the forum algo?  Thanks a lot.
it's really surpised me that you are an active Member here and already Sr. member didnt even bothered on new feature of this forum?
Did you actually not wondering what's the "Merit" used right below on your activity?

You shouldn't be surprised

Not everyone here goes through the Meta section to discuss the forum, a lot of users are here for the various sections and the topics they relate to.

I only looked into Merit because a telegram group I'm a part of was talking about it.
Had I not checked into it I probably wouldn't have paid it any attention until I saw the first Merited post. Depending on what section you are in those can be few and far between, unfortunately leaving a lot of good quality posters out to dry.

For someone like OP this sucks as they were pretty close to achieving their new rank; it would have been nice if Theymos had at least gotten you half way there. Not just you specifically but any members who where half way to their next rank or some other sort of proportional distribution. I think that he made an adjustment a few days after the system was introduced to assist hero members who were close to Legendary; I can't remember.

Thanks for offering the service, I tried to wait it out and see how Merit fell without using the services. So now I'm going back a couple weeks and seeing if some Merit some Merit.

3858  Other / Meta / Re: Lauda removed from DT network via 3 exclusions on: February 14, 2018, 09:58:16 PM
Long story short I hope you all still continue to leave people trust accordingly because some of us actually review the entire feedback left section and not just the rating under their profile.
I very much doubt that people are going to accept their efforts being wasted. Most DT members abandoned ship partially due to this. The majority of users do not view untrusted feedback.

I hear yah, and  I can't blame anyone for not wanting to comb the site for little thanks or any.

In my mind untrusted feedback is no different than reading reviews online some are spam/fake/and accurate, that just comes down to due diligence and whether or not people want to put in the effort. It is more time consuming but between that and doing a review of their past posts it's a good way to see what their game is.

Either way, thanks to all who have tried to keep things safe and tidy.
3859  Other / Meta / Re: Lauda removed from DT network via 3 exclusions on: February 14, 2018, 09:16:47 PM
I like your logic. The fact that TC excluded you is clearly evidence that OgN and myself are in cahoots. /s
You and TC were close around your escrow debarcle. TC has essentially copied Og's excludes. Og left you positive feedback very close to when this all went down. You've been a Nasty Fan for a while prior to this. All of the people excluded are people that have talked ill of Og or Nastyfans.

Of course none of this is proof, but there are a fair few coincidences.
I never spoke ill of OgNasty or Tomatocage.  However, I have stated that Quackseller is a troll and a scammer, which I firmly believe.   So Og and Tomatocage excluding me from their lists?  Hmmm.

I don't really follow meta or the inner workings of the forum;  but a telegram group had a few people applauding all these DT members being busted down.

Honestly sorry to see some of you go, like with any system there were people who might have been caught in the crossfire; but for the most part I think you had nailed it.
I didn't really have nay dealings with most DT members but do still look through all trust left to someone before making a trade, your ratings just had more merit before I decided on how to proceed.

@Pharmacist I don't necessarily agree with the wording of some of your neg trust, as some came off as racist, you were not in a position of power at the time and I did notice a change in tone after that. I also noticed you giving people the option to appeal after a few weeks to show they could be of value to the community with their posts.

For me trust only came into play for trading; for most of the people bitching about being negged it had to do with sig campaigns, because they wanted to come here contribute very little and earn an income.

Either way as is apparent in this thread there is way more history here than I've been around for; and it shows that the system wasn't and still isn't (merit system is far from perfect) ready for the huge increase in activity this forum has received from the recent boom in Crypto.

Long story short I hope you all still continue to leave people trust accordingly because some of us actually review the entire feedback left section and not just the rating under their profile.

Regards. Have a good day!

I might be interested.
I am wondering have you considered using a campaign manager I would recommend Yahoo62278

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=355846

That is his profile link.

If you are going to do it yourself, will you be escrowing funds for the campaign?

I will send you a PM as well. The more details you put up the better the quality of your participants will be.
