I do see the initial transfer of .007, it shows as pending with no conformations as of yet.

Okay thank you. I will monitor. Would you be able to do the same idea with a small amount first? I'm still pretty new and the transfers still give me butterflies when it's substantial. If not no worries

Good idea digging deeper to root out a possible offshoot of this person's, I use the term loosely, scam.
The current price drop just adds insult, after buying the coins for this deal, but I would have been hit anyways as I was buying most of them for my hopeful Canaan order.
The bright side atleast his profit dropped a little as well.

That's understandable, I don't mind waiting, I just got off a night shift and can hold off sleep for a little while.
The returning of shipping was a big one that, put me at ease, and I could easily see how they would have been able to milk a few more people through pm's. Lesson learned, thanks for making sure it wasn't the hard way for us.

Hi, Let's say somebody would invest 1 btc into GND tokens. What's the expected power supply after ALL fees and costs? Should he install his own miners at your datacenter?
1 token will get you 1KWH. Let's say a miner takes 1kw , in a month that miner uses 720 KW. Thus it would cost 720 tokens to host this miner for a month. With the coins at 7 cents it would be the same as paying 7 cents for electricity as well as your miners taken care of by GND and serviced by them So in this scenario, it is like prepaying for .07$ electricity, as well as the servicing and care? What is the other option of buying coins and holding them? Is there the potential for a ROI/ share of profits by essentially becoming a shareholder? Thank you for the info.

This is why we have escrow - Especially philipma1957!
Thank you philipma1957!
I was wondering when you overpayed in shipping did the "seller" reimburse you that amount? I just found it weird that seemed to be something that I thought to myself, a scammer wouldn't do. I guess he was playing the long game hoping maybe someone would bypass Escrow or something. Thanks again philipma1957, I really appreciate you offering to reimburse us our shipping, that is a stand up gesture that goes above and beyond. Maybe one day we'll actually get to see the end of a good deal lol. On a side note I really liked your setup for moving the air flow around your mine.

1 out of 1 broken? Ouch sorry to hear that, I was flip flopping back and forth over whether or not to buy 1 of these or wait on Canaan. I ultimately decided to wait on my Canaan order as I am done jumping around beating myself just to get a unit up and mining again. was this your first one from them, I have been trying to find any info possible in regards to the average failure/DOA rate for these units. Good luck resolving your issues.

Well thanks for the hard work and providing the escrow for us. Good call on freezing sales to wait out the original sale.

Any word from the "seller" as it is now past 8pm throughout Europe.

UPDATE
I contacted DHL to pick up the miners for shipping, they come tomorrow between 1-3pm to collect the boxes and provide the tracking details.
Tomorrow once they are picked up you receive a pm with tracking details, will also send this to philipma1957. Apologize for 1 day delay.
For now keep up the agreement, till all miners are delivered and tested sales will stay on hold.
It would have been nice if you had set up the pickup yesterday as you did make it seem like you had this all planned out. What country are the units shipping from? I would like to figure out time zone difference and look up DHL expected shipping times. Can you also post some photos of the packages ready to go. Thank you

I was in the same boat, but I did get that gut feeling to sell and pocket my 200$ gain, that way I just had the cash with my exchange until I got an address, in the meantime found a different hardware deal I'm hoping pans out.

Sounds good looking forward to receiving tracking info.

Wait for philipma1957 to post escrow address
I will I messaged him for the address. I did send you the .007 for shipping in the meantime.

I take it the miners are sitting directly in front of the cold air vents feeding the area as spot cooling? I've seen a lot of rather horrid industrial shop-floor environments at that is the only way I've see it happen to power equipment that has been powered down for a while... Partly for this reason you never ever want to duct cold air directly onto/into power electronics.
IF that is the case either move them or deflect the airflow around them as pre-heating or running the fans does not address the root problem.
So you are saying not to pull direct air from outside? How should it be done then? I always thought that pulling in direct cold air from outside is the way to go...Thanks. I think the point is to not have the cold exterior air blowing directly onto the miners, especially once powering them down, as they are the first surface the air touches, and that's where the condensation will occur. Have the air come into the space, but direct it in such a way as to lower the overall temperature in the space.

I was thinking since you obviously have power restored by the time you are planning on drying out your miners. You may want to set up a few different fans to blow onto your miner set up, once everything is up and running with a dehumidifier or 2.
Another option is looking into Desiccant trays/bags/packets placed throughout the container during layup periods. It is what is used inside boilers during dry layups during prolonged downtime, to prevent moisture and corrosion.
I would also look into trying to seal whatever you can to reduce the exposure to the elements during these periods; and as much as you can during operation.
