I easily found 20 posts that could reasonably have received 1 merit. 20 merit awarded

Thank you for the honest  review and merit.

If you run short on merit and there are quality posts let me know and I could merit a few if I have any at the time.
3782  Other / Meta / Re: Conflict of Interest on DT1 on: March 25, 2018, 10:46:21 PM

P.S. I am new here  Cheesy  Grin

This here is the only part for me that was worth quoting. Bullshit.

I've notice a lot of these New accounts that have exceptional skills in tying things together concerning Moderators, and past history that escapes most of us "casuals"/ post 2016 BTC adopters.
So my guess is you either got caught up in some account farming or something else of the sorts that caused you to get a red mark on your actual account.

Maybe you are one of the people who just likes dragging these peoples names through the mud for some reason or another.

Either way I can only speak to Yahoo as I have had no dealings with the others you have mentioned. His trust is well deserved. should be able to leave an end of story there but I'll go on a little. I have 0 doubt when I wear a SIG for him that he will pay. The ICO's that he works for trust him with a significant amount of BTC each time as well; but you don't see that as they don't come here and leave him feedback.

I have seen a lot of things recently when I get bored, about accounts having been collateral in the past and how account sales have resulted in NEG trust, but I think it was situational and the "intent" behind that is what mattered; also DT trust is up to them there is no right or wrong just opinion.

Side note as well, account sales are only discouraged via forum rules... ( I in no way condone them) .

I'm sure everyone you have mentioned will be along to answer to their own allegations as well.
3783  Economy / Reputation / Re: EDIT: OMG HUGE Merit Farming (New list updated) on: March 25, 2018, 09:48:53 PM
I had to point this out that the 2 accounts -Ronaldcoin2017 and Twinscoin2017 just threw you a nice chunk of Merit.

Not sure if they are trying to drag you down with them; or if they're the types of criminals that love to be caught...

Either way good catch
3784  Other / Archival / Re: 3 on hand 11 Terahash SHA-256 Miners for Sale on: March 25, 2018, 08:39:38 PM
I'm sorry but you didn't even care enough to post the name of the Miners you are selling.

You also don't mention the condition of the Miners.

So now for the basics, can you post a picture of the miners with your BCT username and current date written on a piece of paper.

Will you use Forum Escrow? This in no way takes away from promoting the decentralized nature of BTC it just provides a safety net.

Finally when you say PayPal, I assume you mean via goods and service, so as to offer buyer and seller protection.

Hey there,

Just stumbled upon your thread. Thanks for putting this out there for the community. I'll post a few links here, not sure how far back through posts you'll read but you will notice since Merit has been introduced I have begun to delve into more areas of the Forum and general discussions; where I used to be more of a fly on the wall. I must admit I find the system frustrating and useful. Either way thanks for looking over my posts.

3787  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BLOKFORGE- Official Canaan Distributor on: March 25, 2018, 04:15:36 PM
Obviously, people are not rushing to buy bitcoin miners anymore. As there are loads available everywhere you look. If Canaan isn't competing with their distributors, then why are they listing the bulk orders below blokforge's pricing? They also list a single quantity, tho it's out of stock. Why even do that if they don't want to sell directly to the public?

1) you cannot and will not be able to buy a "single" unit from Canaan direct.

2) they will sell to the public if you buy 60 or more.

3) the price they show on the website is roughly what they charge Blokforge (not taking into account any volume or official distributor discounting. So it makes sense the pricing at Blokforge would be higher considering they also pay shipping and import fees.

It really shouldn't be hard to understand a proper distribution chain.

Simply put 60+ units Canaan direct
59 - units Blokforge (or your nearest distributor)
3788  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BLOKFORGE- Official Canaan Distributor on: March 25, 2018, 02:11:37 PM
Canaan is competing with their distributors and Bitmain. They just dropped the price of the 841 down to $1625. Looks like you are right, the people rushing to buy earlier are going to end up paying more and getting it at the same time as the late buyers. If you're able to buy 20 from Canaan right now, you'll get them before the distributors. It's a 3 week wait for everyone else. Looks like Bitmain may drop their prices again too with this move by Canaan.

Canaan is not "competing" with their distributors. They work very closely with Blokforge and others to maintain their supply chain. They set up this distribution network to get Miners into the hands of the public without the ordering fiasco of 8000+ people all trying to order from their site within seconds of product availability.

Also as you can see if you read back through the pages Blokforge was able to work with Canaan to offer reduced pricing to customers through coupons and discounts as a good will gesture for purchases made during higher pricing a 4-8 weeks ago. That being said Nick and Blokforge have been very open about responding to email requests to try and sort out payment/pricing issues all you have to do is email them, and in my mind be curtious and reasonable in your expectations.

Also the 20 units you quoted, is still actually 60 MOQ from Canaan, if you try to order now it comes in with a set quantity of at least 3 packages.

3789  Economy / Reputation / Re: Red trust ON/OFF !!! on: March 25, 2018, 12:18:18 AM
I am in no way suggesting that purchasing accounts is appropriate nor do I condone it.

When looking at the example OP is providing though it's hard to disagree with it based on logical thinking.

An account sale is an account sale.

Regardless of how you came to have the account; through essentially buying it (collateral for a default loan) or building it up and selling it.

As for it being a different time it appears the actions were taken within 9 months of each other.

I wasn't a part of the community that far back and can easily see that account sales are a fraudulent way to pass yourself off here, and to receive extra coin in SIG campaigns.

I'm not going to go through your entire history of posts and what not, but as long as you have been a contributing member of the community and other than that one infraction haven't participated in any other account sales or similarly shady dealings; I would plead my case to The Pharmacist.

I would also suggest that this rule from the forum rules be changed to Account sales are prohibited. As discouraged is far to ambiguous; considering if the only reason you don't trust someone is that they have in fact bought an account or tried to. You may think well I don't know who that is... well we really don't know who 98% of the people who post stuff here are except for a few of the people who put themselves and to some extent their identity out there. I would say that until this rule has been changed the feedback should be neutral so that it is still visible.

EDIT: Just want to be sure it's known this was copied from the forum rules posted in meta.

18. Having multiple accounts and account sales are allowed, but account sales are discouraged.
3790  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin Forum Puzzle on: March 24, 2018, 11:32:34 PM

Find the living thing who is four-legged then two-legged then three-legged?

The answer is (size 1) : Human : baby then adult then elderly using a cane

Well it is obvious but you may find people who cannot figure it out.

Lol.

I was going to answer this and for the like of me I couldn't figure out why you had the size 1... and then the post below with size 2.

It wasn't until now I saw the answer was before my eyes the whole time.

made my day
3791  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: (Review/Guide) AvalonMiner 841 13.0 Th/s, 1290W Bitcoin (SHA-256) ASIC miner on: March 24, 2018, 07:55:33 PM
Sounds good I know they mention it here in the Data sheet. I'm sure Steve will be posting here at some point and give further details if there are any.

https://canaan.io/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/841-datasheet.pdf

If this is the current plan for warranty it more than makes up for the additional cost, and really shows their faith in the product

"All Canaan products are designed to last beyond
two years and we provide a two year limited
warranty. Free replacement of failing parts is
provided from 120 days of purchase." "Taken from the Data sheet"

Very nice another great guide/review. Glad your trip to the factory was successful and informative.

Did you have any info about the New Warranty being offered with these units?
3793  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A7 announced on: March 24, 2018, 05:42:15 PM
Okay, but I am wondering what you are using to power the Rasp Pi, I can't remember for sure but you need to be powering the PI with a minimum of 2.5 AMP brick (plug for the wall).

That's all I can really help with without looking at the logs. Hopefully you can get this sorted.
3794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: some body stole my bitcoins any help on: March 24, 2018, 04:22:35 PM
If they have been taken out of your wallet, all you can really do is try and follow the transaction and see where they went. It still probably won't reveal anything useful. Odds are you are just out of luck.

I would take this time though to take preventative measures against this in the future, such as changing your passwords and maybe looking into a different wallet setup. Maybe think about whether or not someone close to you gained sensitive information and took their shot.
3795  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A7 announced on: March 24, 2018, 04:10:47 PM
Okay... That's weird. The yellow light indicates it going Idle. I'm guessing that this happens when you are running at 0 for voltage offset, and when it "restarts".

When it goes yellow like this does it just stay idle until you cycle power?

So a few more questions:

What are you using to power your Rasp PI at the wall?

Are you running just the 1 Miner?

Can you confirm that the airflow from your miner is exhausting from the front (where the fan and black shroud are)

The only times I remember getting the API connection refused are when I tried to point my miner at a pool and had input the Stratum information improperly; but you say it hashes fine at -1 and at 0 until it restarts so that shouldn't be the issue.

Can you post the API log while it is running?
3796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Diet bitcoin... really? on: March 24, 2018, 03:38:56 PM
An analysis with a broken link any way let me make a short contribution, bitcoin can never be forks and linking bitcoin to the CIA is such an evil imagination because the distance between the CIA and bitcoin is so wide that there can never be a meeting point. So let stop spreading false news that can affect the price of bitcoin.

I'm sorry you couldn't be bothered to check the link for yourself... It's working in case you wanted to actually read the article.

The news being given here is real, in the fact that he plans to launch this coin, with all the promises of faster/cheaper/ and being the best thing since sliced bread. ( Claims made by Mr. Escobar) maybe not the sliced bread one.

His own speculation on where BTC comes from can be placed on the shelf next to tinfoil hats, and DVD's from ghosthunters. I would say random things said by this guy won't affect the price of BTC anywhere near as much as as lets say something like BTC cash which is being hyped and primed by people who are disgruntled the network didn't go their way.

Considering this article came off a Major News site I'm going to wager my little post doesn't even reach .01% of the people they do. The people I do reach should have more sense if they are here on the Forum than to get worried by something like this. Undecided

3797  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Orion Miner - New Manufacturer - Up to 20 TH/s - Real? on: March 24, 2018, 02:10:55 PM
This "Launch" seems very similar to the way the Dragonmint was announced to the world.

Wouldn't surprise me if this possible probable scam; is just feeding off the fact that Dragonmint has almost proven to be a real product that will fulfill all orders. They really don't need a lot of people to fall for it with a MOQ of 100 it really only takes 1 person with more cash than brains.
3798  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A7 announced on: March 24, 2018, 01:45:14 PM
It was hashing pretty fine till tonight when it keeps restarting. The temperatures dont cross the 27/93 max. But when I lower my voltage to -1 it works without restarting. So it restarts only when the voltage ise set to 0.

Hey there,

What are you using as a power supply?
Not sure where you are located but could you let us know what type of electrical circuit you are running on? When it is running are you able to get your API Log and post it. you can use the # symbol to post the data.
3799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TRON (TRX) is going crazy. on: March 23, 2018, 10:54:15 PM
I guess time will tell, but the prediction is that Tron has 3 hurdles towards increasing the value of the coin and securing this project. 2 of which are on the 31st.

This being the test net trials, and the coin burn.
In theory the coin burn will increase the value of the coin just on the basis that it has a market cap now and with less coins each one should become more valuable in that moment.

Finally the last hurdle is when they go live  with the Mainnet launch May 1st. Reading up on this I gathered this is where the project will either succeed or die trying, They will officially separate from the Ethereum network. I will have to see how this affects the coins I currently hold though. Either way it will be interesting to see how the market responds to this.

Still this thread not reached to FBI, but ill submit it to FBI and CBI.nic.in as one Indian here said same thing retarded.

You never seen Lauda's nasty things here?

While your at it better not forget interpol, MI6 may want to take part. I guess when their done with Thanos you can get the evengers involved, if their busy call the X-men Professor x will answer all your questions, just need to take off the tinfoil hats.

I don't imagine Lauda plans on showing off their "nasty things" to the forum it's not like this is Tinder.
