3501  Other / Meta / Re: Blackmailing me for my services! on: May 20, 2018, 12:06:22 AM

Why on earth are you coming back after all this time?

Just let it go, you were called out, drew attention to yourself, and have to deal with the "red mark"

Also your writing seems to have gotten worse.

Nice move! I'm glad you do not let him scare the out of you and report him instead. Ignore the one who is blackmailing you (unless he's stating fatal threats) and let the moderators give the right punishment for him. Always keep standing for what is good and what is right.

Did you even bother to read up on this thread before posting. OP deserves what he got.
3502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What strategy to follow before investing in BTC? on: May 19, 2018, 05:53:50 PM
Sorry to say there is no best number or suggestion as to what is safe.

The market is going to swing, and you have to decide for yourself based on these questions.

How much can you invest?

How long can you hold the investment?

At what point will you sell?

Can you handle a down swing and remain strong?

You might also want to consider is this long term hold, or day trading amounts.
3503  Other / Off-topic / Re: Merit System Upgrade on: May 19, 2018, 04:03:59 PM

You don’t need merit to do anything here except make money. Hell, there was no merit a year ago and people were using the forum just fine without it. If you read through the OP would have seen that I felt sorry for the genuinely decent posters that were already a higher rank and were screwed over by the merit system. I’m only helping them. I don’t even respond to anyone below Full Member anymore. 99% of the new members are only here to spam one liners for cash. I don’t help them at all.

Cobalt9317, you and Tuareg are clearly only here to make money by any means necessary. I can’t help you. Have you ever thought about visiting Indeed.com or Monster.com? Both of those sites have an international section and can help you find jobs anywhere in the world.

Instead of giving you Merit you don't need just wanted to say good job. Let's call it a proverbial thumbs up, lol.

Thanks again for your help in the past, if it wasn't for your service and others I wouldn't have half the Merit I do have. I've also kind of given up on looking for it, since my last push,  I found it was taking me further away from what I enjoyed on the forum.

Also not expecting a reply as per OP, just wanted to say my piece

3505  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antminer S9 and L3+ for sale on: May 19, 2018, 02:24:32 PM
Can you post proof of ownership, a photo tagged with a handwritten note containing the date and forum username will do the trick.

Are you accepting Forum escrow?( Preffered method of forum users)
Any other forms of payment with buyer and seller protections?

There are a lot of scams so providing this information will go along way to providing legitimacy.
3506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cold start -> buggy control board? on: May 18, 2018, 10:05:51 PM
How cold are you talking?

I get that you want to take advantage of the better pricing but, could you leave 1 unit running to take advantage of it's heating capabilities. Again not sure of your space or number of miners but by leaving 1 or more on you can keep the ambient temperature in a happy range for the rest to start.
3507  Other / Meta / Re: Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again on: May 18, 2018, 03:06:50 PM
While I enjoy the quote and have had it be relevant, enough times in my life for it to hold truth with me.

Did we really need another Merit thread?

I get that you have sound advice for those out there still trying and caring; but could you not have posted this in 1 even 2 of the more active Merit or Merit guidance threads? I can also understand wanting people to see that advice, but after the first page, the only people who will read that are going to quote it and write something that isn't relevant.

3508  Other / Meta / Re: Unofficial merit source application thread on: May 18, 2018, 02:58:34 PM
Can you update the table? My merit source application has been processed Cheesy

Congrats, your patience paid off.
3509  Economy / Services / Re: Yahoo62278 Sig & Avatar Campaign(High merit required)(CLOSED) on: May 18, 2018, 02:05:17 AM
Thanks. Good luck with your business.
3510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi nakamato needs to come out ! on: May 17, 2018, 11:54:50 PM
I operate under the theory satoshi is deceased. I guess it's just easiest to believe.

If not though why would they come forward. Satoshi has already shown a great ability to not seek fame for the creation. So what's the motivation to be hauled before every government on the globe to explain yourself and your technology to a bunch of out of touch poltiicians.

Not to mention there are countries that would probably try to incarcerate him.
3511  Other / Meta / Re: suggestion: sort replies by merit on: May 17, 2018, 11:32:29 PM
Instead of using the Merit system to identify the best post, What if we gave the OP a chance to select the best answer.

I think this is a great idea too. Chosing the best answer that could be highlighted , and  keep the original order of the posts below.

Thanks. I feel generally OP will be in the best position to select the best answer.
It wouldn't even have to put the posts out of order it could just link you to the top post as selected by OP.  And like I said the other links could be based on the top merited posts.
3512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a threat to USD and Pound Sterling? on: May 17, 2018, 10:57:42 PM
I don't know that bitcoin in its current form is a threat to either.

Given enough time and bip's they might make it viable, but that depends a lot on global adoption which will be the biggest hurdle I think.

I currently like it as a complimentary system that bridges the globe for sales and transfer of funds eliminating a 3rd party.
3513  Other / Meta / Re: Haven't got any sMerits since the system was introduced on: May 17, 2018, 10:53:16 PM
OP you could probably lock the thread as you got your answers. This has the potential to become another megathread especially once it passes that first page.

I can see you've also been receiving merit so they must have helped.
3514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HTC Plans to Ship a Blockchain Phone This Year on: May 17, 2018, 10:50:13 PM
It's pretty cool to see more of the blockchain technology adoption.
I didn't really get the benefit to the end user besides using it as a hardware wallet of sorts. This gives me something to read about tonight, as this is the first I heard about it.
3515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trust on: May 17, 2018, 10:41:09 PM
This isn't really the section forniy. Trust is something you can discuss in meta.

First thing review the reference posted. Did you or did you not do what this person is suggesting?

Next step, accept it. There really isn't anything you can do as trust is subjective. If marlboroza feels you did something that leads them to not trust you then it will stand. It's not often negative trust is removed.
3516  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do you wish to have physical notes, coins for bitcoin? on: May 17, 2018, 09:38:16 PM
The closest to this you will find Is the coins that have private keys imprinted on them. They have been around for a while, I don't really k ow anything about them but I see them in the collectibles section.

Other than that you won't see it like cash today, how would the transactions be verified? How could you be sure the person is handing you a "loaded" amount of paper money?
3517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TRON (TRX) is going crazy. on: May 17, 2018, 09:29:26 PM
I haven't really been keeping up with the coin. Glad to see it's almost back to break even for me lol.

Do we have yo do anything special with coins held, when the main net launches? This is the first coin I've held like this.
3518  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: [11.2kW SOLAR/WIND/MAN] NastyMining Green Energy Project ☀️💨💪🔋 on: May 17, 2018, 08:29:43 PM
That's awesome congrats.

I was wondering what is the estimated lifespan of your solar equipment? Also estimated repair costs. Would it likely push the breakeven to 11 years or something like that?
3519  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: antminer s9 fan direction is wrong? on: May 17, 2018, 08:27:39 PM
Definitely send it back to them. Use the warranty because it's available. It will likely cost you more than the shipping tonget and repair it.

It sucks sending the whole thing back but as i found out you have to play by their rules. The mist theyll let yoy do is open it up and troubleshoot it for them.
3520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: May 17, 2018, 08:22:31 PM
So is anyone here still solo mining? I feel like difficulty is still low enough it's almost worth the gamble if you can set it up.
