3982  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antminer s9 for sale. New seller. on: January 06, 2018, 03:29:29 PM
As Haggs said the total amount including shipping should be escrowed.

That was the latest scam a few months back to get the shipping fees and run.

So using the people he suggested for the full amount is the safest way for both parties involved.
3983  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antminer s9 for sale. New seller. on: January 05, 2018, 11:57:32 AM

I am not going to overlook your healthy skepticism but I'm an Indian retail seller reselling from Indian wholesalers. Not my fault if they want to sell for a lower price. I'm in it just to earn a couple of extra hundred bucks like all associated with the btc industry. Why don't you buy one first before crying wolf at everything?

You are overlooking my healthy skepticism. I don't care if you want to make a few hundred dollars, more power to you. What I do care about is whether or not these are a legit product. So to assist the community I have put out some very straightforward requests.

Don't be surprised if anyone thinking of doing business with you asks the same.

And No I will not send you money hoping that you send me a miner... that defeats the purpose of my healthy skepticism.
3984  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antminer s9 for sale. New seller. on: January 05, 2018, 11:49:38 AM
Not going to lie, this just screams phishing scam to me.

Now to prove you are in some way a legit seller, you will need to take a photo of the hardware, with your Bitcointalk username and the date written on a piece of paper.

Maybe give some details as to how many units you have.

EDIT: Forgot to mention add info like Escrow accepted or not, and you mention a company name. What is it? is there a website?
3985  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: January 05, 2018, 10:51:34 AM
I've PM'd you. But be warned... newbie accounts can only make 1 private message reply per 24 hour period.

I'll fly to Brookfield, Wisconsin. Shoot me the address and we'll set a date.

That's better than Promojo, who was afraid to show me his data center, when the photos were of the miner in his home... He could have set it up in a library for all I cared it was just an option to lend validity to this product.

Which is the oddest product launch I've ever seen in any way shape or form.

It will be interesting to see if this meeting pans out. Like many others though this whole process doesn't make me want one in the slightest.

I've mostly just "grabbed Popcorn" and stuck around
3986  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Order complete but no pay-back on: January 04, 2018, 02:37:19 PM
You are screwed on that order and still don't get the error of your ways.
If your plan is to only buy hashrate then you do not want to point it to Kano pool. That pool is a great choice if you are going to mine long term with your own equipment.

For what you are doing you will want to point it at a pool like slush or some PPS pool.

Do some more research before wasting any more money
3987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: asus r9 290 4gb and i5 4670 3.4ghz on: January 04, 2018, 09:22:24 AM
First thing you need to do a google search and read only pages from late 2016 and newer. You also need to read through the beginner and help section.

Here is a good start before posting in the forum to get a general idea of why you can't mine BTC with what you have. The moderators will move this to the altcoin section which is where GPU/CPU mining is discussed
3988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer L3+ gives bitcoin no litecoin WTF absolutly n00b on: January 04, 2018, 08:54:10 AM
You will need to provide a significant amount of information for anyone to be able to help you.

In short: 1) You are not mining BTC. Not possible

              2) Are you selling your hashrate and being paid in BTC?

Like I said you need to disclose a lot more information.
3989  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Distribufied - Official Canaan distributor North America. on: January 04, 2018, 08:29:57 AM
Canaan has listed another official distributor Distribufied

https://canaan.io/official-distributors/

http://www.distribufied.com

are these any good compared to bitmains?

I like the product for it's reliability here is the A7 thread which has an abundance of info regarding Avalon miners

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1673843.0

They will also be releasing the next generation of their products shortly.
3990  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Output heat calculator for Miners on: January 04, 2018, 07:33:08 AM
You are overthinking this a little. Unless it is more of a pet project in math for you.

Essentially you want to take the miner exhaust air out of the room as fast as possible not allowing it to raise the ambient temperature. You want to exhaust this air in a way that it won't recirculate into the room your miners are set up.

So depending on what your goal is here, theoretical math problem or real world solutions, if it is the latter; What do you have for exhaust options in the room? what are your options for bringing in fresh air?

3991  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Distribufied - Official Canaan distributor North America. on: January 04, 2018, 07:27:52 AM
I had seen they've been added, but nothing from the website yet. Just the option to receive an email update.

Hopefully they get up and running soon.

3992  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BLOKFORGE- Official Canaan Distributor on: January 04, 2018, 04:20:39 AM
I've been waiting for the presale link lol.  Are they posting it like in this thread or what?

I think they said they will post a link here for the forum members to try and provide a couple to the Miners monitoring this page.

I just can't wrap my head around how Blokforge is going to sell 50 of them here to forum members.

WOW!

Thank you again Blokforge for doing this.

Yes yes, we could all hope for them to essentially give us half or all their miners to Forum members, but lets try and turn things back on topic. I do believe they set the number at 10, so that there is no confusion for people here unable to gleam the sarcasm/wishful thinking.

Has anyone got shipping notifications for their 741s? I know they have at least 50 orders, so I'm sure they're busy. Just curious how quick they're progressing.

I still haven't had any confirmation on shipping, but I never thought for a minute they would start to move on New
Year's day, lol. I'm guessing they will release their expected shipdate early next week.
3993  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A7 announced on: January 02, 2018, 07:22:03 PM
Thanks for the replies.

I finally got the 741 configured and mining... only for moments. I'm glad to see that mine is actually working.
However, my issue seem exactly like Toughits. My fan doesn't seem to work. The fan tries to work on start-up, but stops.
(opened a ticket already with canaan)
Should I just buy a new fan? Is it the Rasp Pi 3 controller issue?

Thanks for the help. So close to start Asic mining >.<...

Can you post your API log and your miner status, when it is running and then again after it has shut off to compare.

It just seems weird that the fan runs then stops all together.

In your ticket to Canaan you can ask them about opening the case to make sure the fan cable isn't loose. But like any product under warranty get permission first.

Also give them all info required they are really good about getting parts sent out quickly depending on how busy they are.

3994  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [150+ PH] SlushPool (slushpool.com); World's First Mining Pool on: January 02, 2018, 05:43:54 PM
Thanks,
I just started in the last 2 weeks, and freaked out when almost whole week is  below average. that is 50% of mining time for me.   I hope it will even out soon. Smiley

It will that's how probability and averages go. Just before you got on we hit a ridiculous amount of blocks, and had been hovering above average for quite some time.

Now the numbers have done what numbers do, they've averaged out and will continue to do so.

Just sit back enjoy the ride and be glad you get the miners fees. Wink
3995  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Minerwarez official Canaan Distributor on: December 30, 2017, 06:58:43 PM
I don't know, they did say that there were issues with shipment delays but that was in November, so I would follow my previous advice and contact them or Canaan with your order number. Continuing to post essentially the same question won't get you anywhere. They do not monitor this thread.
3996  Economy / Marketplace / Re: > 50 acres, $0.06 USD/kwh MAX, Canada. on: December 30, 2017, 05:55:58 PM
Where abouts in Canada are you located? Proximity is probably one thing an investor found here would be looking for at least for an initial meet up.
3997  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Minerwarez official Canaan Distributor on: December 30, 2017, 03:57:24 PM
Not exactly, while the 741's are end of life, they were still taking the pre-orders for the last amounts of stock to clean up the production line. I didn't have any orders in for the December batches. Who are you talking to at Minerwarez? If you are still getting no answers to new emails you might want to email Canaan to escalate the situation a little. You can look for Steven Mosher in the main Avalon thread, he is the Canaan Rep who pops on the forum from time to time.
3998  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Avalon 8 Group Buy Interest? on: December 30, 2017, 01:30:45 AM
The odds of anyone being able to put together a group buy are very unlikely. I would wager you won't have the chance until at least mid 2018. There stock is in such demand with distributors, plus they began to ask people in November for their projected needs, so all of those people and companies are in front of the line.

Then there are the logistics of 20-30 people getting together and paying for something so far in advance.

The landscape has changed drastically in the last 6 months, best bet is to try and purchase from any distributor you can even if the shipping will cost you a bit more.

3999  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antminer APW3++ 1600w Power supply on: December 29, 2017, 10:39:29 PM
Antminer APW3++ 1600w Power supply

I am a about to buy some for $175 shipped to anywhere in the world (no import duties for up to 5 for USA)

Let me know if anyone has interest. It ships within 3 business days with DHL / UPS tracking

If you we're trying to sell the extras, this belongs in the marketplace section. Sorry If I misunderstood your post.

This sounds to be a good idea. Just let's us know where on the forum to look. Also I would love to do a full review of the 821. Also not to sure how the lotto would work.

We will post in this thread.....simple enough.

we will figure out something with the lotto, gives our marketing girl something to do.

She has a name, it's BlokforgeBecca, lol.

Glad you r team has been making yourselves available to provide real time information to the Forum.

You might consider making the Blokforge Forum the place to post to get into the lottery. This way people have an account setup and it's easier to manage issues you might run into, it will also help grow the Avalon community support forum you've launched.
