Crypto-games?
That's right.

Just haven't seen anything like that before.
It's not (fully) public.
That's one of the graphs we made from bankroll statistics over time.
Won't disclose the coin, the timeframe or the actual amounts (I've removed them),
but it's a good (single) example on how fluctuating bankroll investments can be.

Definitely. I think a lot of people feel like BRs only go up and not down. Here's tracking for the past week and a half or so of MP (only keeping up with net change of profit):

4.790
(3.060)
3.717
(0.060)
(4.660)
1.575
18.461
(0.273)
(3.700)
8.615
17.279
(5.359)

It's largely up because of those two great days, but was down for well over a month.
1622  Economy / Securities / Re: Invest in gambling site (what you think) on: March 17, 2016, 07:26:12 AM
Curious... what site is that for?
I'll give you 3 guesses.

Crypto-games? Tongue

Just haven't seen anything like that before.
1623  Economy / Securities / Re: Invest in gambling site (what you think) on: March 17, 2016, 06:54:54 AM
You're asking an impossible question. Sites come with swings. Your profit could just as easily drop to negative. Or it could triple up in 5 minutes. Most sites will have many ups and downs.
Indeed.

My profit is 0.005% of 50% 1.9%house, something like this.
I invest only 0.003 bitcoin, daily profit not more of 200/300 satoshi.
This is to small...
This is only for those who can more btc to invest...
is not bad, i mean it is pasive income right? you are literaly earn bitcoin while you sleeping , but the only thing that i was wondering is, how could i make $ 1 in bitcoin daily by invest in this site, i mean how much bitcoin i must invest? thanks in advance

1625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HYPER ~ Game Currency ~MMOs ~Poker ~ 20+ Servers~ShapeShift.io ~RPG +More! on: March 17, 2016, 04:55:10 AM
I strongly believe that the biggest barrier to mass adoption of HYPER by gamers is that the current wallet requires some crypto knowledge to get fully synced up.

I have found a dev who can make us a one click install Electrum wallet for HYPER (meaning people will NOT need to download the blockchain or anything like that), which would be perfect for regular gamers to easily install a HYPER wallet, and also use nowhere near as much RAM as the current wallet..

We need 1.5-2 BTC to make this happen.

As HYPER is extremely under valued right now I do not want to sell some of the bounty funds on the exchange to help fund this.

Would anyone in the community be willing to donate some BTC to help make this happen?

Just want to guage interest and see if people are interested in donating, if there is enough interest I will start an official fundraiser.

i do agree with you and would possible offer a little btc, but what kind of guarantees is this "developer" giving you.

ultimately ease of use will be the only way to get non crypto users willing to use hyper or any other coin.  it needs to be as seemless to the gamer as possible and full proof so they are comfortable using it.  interesting and will wait to see if anyone else is into this idea.

Most people don't care about the technicals of how cryptos work. It's a lot like ACH. I'm sure 99.9% of the people you speak to don't understand, beginning to end, how an ACH transfer works. But people still use it. They are irreversible in the U.S. as well, just like crypto, but people trust the system without knowing anything about it.

The sad thing nowadays is that you have to assume that all people are corrupt and thiefs. Even guys like this one (who seem really legit) commit fraud for pennies ...

Welcome to the world of internet bro where people can easily fake their identity to scam people. The best thing to do to avoid getting scammed is to think twice before you click.

As I tell people elsewhere, "if you wouldn't hand the user your cash if you met them on a street corner, you probably shouldn't do it online."

Yep but mostly did because the internet is much more convenient for scammers.

Fixed your post, Smiley.

Just annoyed at people calling stuff like this investing, which is a common claim. It has nothing to do with investing. No legitimate investor would throw money at random people and hope they earn -- they analyze the business and people behind it and ensure it has chances of success.
1627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ◆Rubies◆ [RBIES] Trade-Mining | Business backed from launch. on: March 17, 2016, 04:51:31 AM
It looks like a cheap copy of pd, not sure if i would try.

edit: besides rubies are basically the coin of a dice site/casino, not sure why would you risk with a non-known site.
Edit2:
Key Notes:

1. Over 5000 people from the digital currency community own Rubies right from launch, this model should ensure a wide distribution from the start.
Does this mean that there is users that have rubies and they just didnt claimed them? Wouldnt this be a threat at long term for rubies price? If no, then how many users actually "claimed" their rubies from the beginning?

Good question, of the 460k+ Rubies dropped to accounts on launch ~73% have been claimed. The largest 'whale' we have on site earned 391,000 Rubies. The largest remaining account to claim has 34,000 Rubies, and the rest are all under 2k Rubies that remain (which isn't many). If you are wondering to yourself "wow that person has a lot". To be quite honest, he's been a player with us over 6 months and is also a stakeholder. I cannot foresee him doing much with the Rubies but using them for betting on our site and soon many others. I don't think hes a big market person based on our talks over the past few months.

I cannot view any players claim of their Rubies a threat, this was part of launch and is actually healthy for distribution of coin. Sure some sell, but the network is quite strong now and it appears many are just staking and using Rubies. Hopefully, this answers your questions though.

The ratio of claimed to unclaimed here is awesome. It also means that most players are both aware of the new coin launch and that they are still in tune with BB, Smiley.

Nice interview! You are a great representative for Hyper and really come across as a down to Earth and positive guy.

Question for anyone - What is the minimum you need to run a computer as POS for Hyper? Thinking of setting something small up, very small.

Thanks in advance,
IAS

StakeBox.com?

Wow, that is awesome. And if anyone is curious, I don't know this guy!
Really nice inexpensive setup that looks energy efficient (which is what I was really looking for.)

Thx
IAS

edit - Anyone here use one for Hyper (I see they can set up the wallet for it.)

I'll vouch for StakeBox. I personally use it and have been for at or over a month now. It's a great little thing, uses almost no electricity (IIRC it was like 3 watts when I checked last), and persists through 'net downtimes, power outages, etc. (meaning as soon as it's reconnected it syncs up and gets back to work). Love it.
1631  Economy / Gambling / Re: █ Public Jackpot Ranges █ 3 Jackpots won already!!! █ DiceCo.in on: March 16, 2016, 06:40:24 PM
first i want to say that immediately after i found the glitch they found out what caused it and fixed it and returned lost bits from glitch to me. they treated me very well during the whole process, and i did win my second minor jackpot a few minutes ago. so there is no question that they run a legit site and actually listen to what people say in chat also.

My experience with them has also been great. They've been open to answering things, taking in comments and suggestions, etc. Smiley

And congrats, Libby!
1632  Economy / Gambling / Re: Seuntjies DiceBot -Multi-Site, multi-strategy betting bot for dice. With Charts! on: March 14, 2016, 05:14:30 PM
There was some downtime with Betterbets' bitcoin betting yesterday ( I think). Maybe that caused the problem?

Edit: Well there's your problem.
On Bitcoin betting we have had an issue with players getting 'invalid hash' we notified moneypot and the issue is something simple, but may require some downtime on Bitcoin betting only. Until their maintenance is started and over please just use Rubies betting only for now, it shouldn't be too long before Bitcoin betting is back to normal though. Thank you all for your patience, and don't forget to check out the March Madness NCAA sports betting promotion we are doing.

Mmm, maybe if the bot generates hashes in a different way somehow. I tried manual/bot betting on BB itself during all of these issues and had no issues at all.

That said, after maintenance I'll give it a go again.

Thanks!

Ever since last night the bot has stopped working for me. Info as follows:

Site: BetterBets
Time: about 16h ago
Error: Status/Current Action: An error has occurred! Betting has stopped for your safety.
Side error: it also doesn't allow manual bets through the bot anymore

Trials: I've tried using the newest (beta) and the version I was using when it stopped all of a sudden. I've checked settings and all looks well. I've also tried every 4-5h just to be sure it wasn't a network issue and the same thing always happens. Everything was going well until it just stopped all of a sudden. It does log in/pull balance/etc. fine.

Devcoin at 6 satoshis! 3 BTC volume today. Enjoy!

It'd be nice to get back up to and float around 100 again. It was steady at 120+ for a longgggg time.

If you're investing a little, you need either a site with a super high turnover or low investments. Obviously you're not going to make a lot investing a small portion of a large BR when there's little play. It's all just basic math.
1637  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCjam - Any Thoughts or Experiances on: March 13, 2016, 07:10:11 AM
TBH, btcjam isn't the best way to invest your BTC at the moment. BTCJam accounts can and is being sold on open markets, which means a person's credit ratings might be false. I wouldn't recommend anyone use this site.

BTCjam is good site. but for peoples who can wait for long time. because btcjam takes long time to payback.. it is an lending btc site and it is like a third person between two peoples, when it get loans back from people then it pays to the lenders.

Seriously? You couldn't take 3 seconds to read that post? Your response had absolutely NOTHING to do with his concern. Not even a little. And his concern is legitimate -- it's the same reason why people are losing trust in BCT users as well.
1638  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dice,Plinko,Roulette @ ★Bit-Exo.com★ Bitcoin casino powered by Moneypot on: March 13, 2016, 06:58:23 AM
The first 20 players that post a screenshot of the live betting graph in this thread, will get 0.001BTC for free!

You should really add a disclaimer here that people need to fulfill requirements as well. As the post is, it looks like "just post it and you're done." More for clarity/less confusion than anything, Smiley.

Congratulations to user Everard674 who won first place at bitcoin lottery with only one bought ticket!  Cheesy

Very nice! That's a return of over 110x, Smiley.

It'd be nice if the winner list showed how many tickets each person purchased BTW. I was thinking about that in the past but forgot to request it.
1640  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for someone good in english language on: March 13, 2016, 04:35:46 AM
Hi,
As many others have offered, I can also edit this to sound naturally English. I can make the writing sound formal, friendly, however you wish. I am English, so I know English pretty well!

How much are you offering?
Thanks

Out of every post in this thread, yours was the closest to being written correctly.

@OP: if you pick someone, this should definitely be your choice.
