1781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : now with added CLAMs : Play or Invest on: February 16, 2016, 08:58:32 AM
it may minify it, but it won't minimize it

Minify is the Ministry of Wi-Fi in Orwell's sequel to 1984, tentatively titled, "Fast and Furious Google - or Mike Hearn's Revenge".  Plot summary - Mike Hearn drives down the A1 from London to Cornwall on the wrong side of the road.  Stops to pick up lead singer from Spice Girls cover band.  Catches STD, fired by R3, goes to work for Blockstream as Greg Maxwell's pool boy - arrested in Halted for trying to shoplift Raspberry Pi - bailed out by cypherdoc using Hashfast preferred stock.

I'm not seeing how Hearn is in any way related to CLAM...

But everything else in that paragraph is just fine? Smiley

I just kind of figured it was a rant about Hearn (in relation to the thread, considering he quoted me specifically) and he made up a little story.

1782  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetterBets.io |Rubies now Launched!|🎲 DICE★PLINKO★HORSE RACING Games/Chat on: February 16, 2016, 08:52:52 AM
I just check back your site and suddenly I got 16k of rubies. And I just download the wallet so how am I going to mine it? Is there a guarantee for mining. And how do you send back your rubies? Because on moneypot there is no wallet for rubies right?

You don't mine them, you stake them (hold them in your wallet and they will grow in number at ~5% APR).

All deposits/withdrawals are handled on BB itself at the moment, so you'd just use your BB deposit address for RBIES (make sure you're on the right type, and not BTC though).

So I should withdraw it on my downloaded wallet? And how much should I get if I stake 10k rubies. So do I need to set anything on my rubies wallet? Btw I suddenly click on luck forging and now I can't roll because it said that there is 0 max payout

Yep, you withdraw to the local wallet to stake. 10k would be (here's the calculation: it ends up equaling about 0.000136986 Rubies/day per Ruby held) around 1.36986 per day on average (but it's compounded as well).

To fix the luck forging, go to horses and use rubies (0.0001) for 20 bets.

@mexer , what MLM means

multi-level marketing
Something similar to MMM ponzi actually: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1211947.0

Hidden WHOIS information doesn't mean they're a scam. Most people I know that aren't even related to cryptos or letting people pay them (i.e., they can't scam because they're just information/fun sites) also hide theirs.
True but common sense follows, if they are not a legitimate bussiness the last thing they'd want others to know would be their IRL information for people to come slap them with a wet fish(figure of speech). Which seems to be the exact thing they are doing here.

Yeah, definitely not saying they're legitimate -- their MLM itself makes it shady. Just saying that the hidden WHOIS doesn't say a lot, :p. That said, I'm one of those that trusts NO MLMs. Ever.
1786  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coince - Too good to be true ? on: February 16, 2016, 07:28:03 AM
Well... it's a website that doesn't has a host, so you can't even access it normally. Also, its WHOIS information is hidden, which is something that any upright business would never do.

But if you found it from a website that advertises anything they can get their hands on, and the offer seems too good to be true, typically it'll be a hoax.

1787  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: If Me or someone else made a Premium Paid Faucet would you use it? on: February 16, 2016, 07:25:58 AM
The money has to come from somewhere.. Are you counting on people paying and than claiming less than they paid? Otherwise you have a hole in your balance..

It sounds basically like a pay 5 usd, get 10 usd in a week ponzi scheme. Only this time you call it premium faucet to draw in new people.

Anyway, you can always try to launch one. People are greedy and will likely try it out.

Doubt many would pay. Faucets are there for people that are too lazy to do real work and have no money. It's hard to pay when they have nothing.

Thanks to the development team you should now be able to keep track of total coins left to Bet-Mine!

Good idea when bet mining is over then we just buy off exchange or stake right?

Bet mining will take a while... about 125k btc. Exchanges will come long before that is done.
1790  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetterBets.io |Rubies now Launched!|🎲 DICE★PLINKO★HORSE RACING Games/Chat on: February 16, 2016, 01:55:21 AM
Hi Everybody,

we just pushed out a new version which fixes a few minor annoyances, most notably the Rubies bet mining display is now fixed. As a courtesy to our users, we credited everybody who placed BTC bets since the launch of Rubies with 25 Rubies coins.

Enjoys and bet responsibly.

Awesome! Thanks for staying on top of things!

Just a quick update, our developers are working on some issues created by the update that affected 3rd party bots and Bet-Mining of Rubies. These should be fixed today and our main developer will post the changes when complete. As an apology we will be granting players affected with extra Rubies to help offset the issue. If you bet with Bitcoin since our new features were launched you will see your credit after the updates are applied.

Good fortune to you all,

Bjorn

Awesome news. Thanks for the update! Smiley

Are smaller packages available then whats currently advertised for investing?

I'm debating opening up a group buy for this, depending on interest levels.

1795  Economy / Securities / Re: [Pre-ANN draft] Crowetic Computers - Investment op - REAL company, REAL asset. on: February 15, 2016, 06:40:44 AM
You really need to add the earning/profit (P/L statement) starting in 2014 to help see the pattern. Just giving one month is meaningless. Can't even start analyzing the data until this is supplied.

I will add from the point the company has been doing what it is now, as that is all that really matters as that is how the company will continue from this point on, and what the asset is based on.

Thanks for the comment, that is why this is a pre-release draft.

I will get the said information together, going to take me a little time because I use some of my income from other sources as funding for certain small parts of the company, so I just haven't fully compiled all of the information...

As of right now I do have the full income of the business in one location, it's just some of the expenses (mostly smaller ones, and most of the business expenses are minimal anyway)...

So, before the final release papers are posted, I will gather together as much of the income and expense information I have and put it together where it can be viewed, but it will not be detailed. It will be simply income and expense numbers, nothing more.

If that isn't enough, I suppose we could discuss more, but I won't be giving super specific information on the business, as to protect both myself and my clients.

It's best to be as detailed as possible (even if a NDA is required to do so). You're going to be hard-pressed finding an actual investor here (read: not one of these people that says "OMG CRYPTO BUSINEPS ILL BE RITCH TO INVEPTS") if you're elusive.

That said, when you get something together, definitely let me know and we'll go from there, Smiley.
1796  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetterBets.io |Rubies now Launched!|🎲 DICE★PLINKO★HORSE RACING Games/Chat on: February 15, 2016, 03:47:15 AM

 Do we earn more rubies if we have more rubies on our wallet when mining?

 100 rubies in wallet -> mined 5
 1000 rubies in wallet -> mined 50
 10000 rubies in wallet -> mined 500

 Is it like this?

Correct the more you have the more you will earn, think of the quantity of coins like adding mining rigs to your wallet; more coins = more hashpower. Just be sure to password protect your wallets and remember you need to unlock them to allow staking after 12 hours they will mature.

Just to add on, it ends up equaling about 0.000136986 Rubies/day per Ruby held.
1797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : now with added CLAMs : Play or Invest on: February 15, 2016, 03:04:44 AM
Though i think for a seller it would be smarter to do a public auction or something. There are enough people who would buy and most probably this person would receive way more than he would by dumping a big amount of clams on an exchange.

This is something I've never understood. Someone always does that -- dumping and losing 80-90% of their value in the process. You can exit most coins over a period of just a week or so by doing smaller sales.

The thing that happened with the digger was even worse. He pushed the price constantly, lowering his profits on the way even further by pushing others to go out.

On the other side, maybe selling such a huge amount of clams would have been too hard? Don't know if so big buyers are out there.

It's not hard. You just stagger the sales. With CLAM it's ridiculously easy due to volume. Basically, let's say you want to exit asap and the price is 0.001 BTC. You would list:

5% 0.001
5% 0.0099
5% 0.0098

and keep going down. Which does two things: 1) it creates a bit of a wall which usually pushes the price UP instead of down, and 2) minifies the damage done by a dump.

it may minify it, but it won't minimize it

I've never heard of him being heavily invested in it.

nice with this rubies, is this possible that rubies coin will be placed on exchange market too soon?
i guess its have own value? do we know how much for 1 rubies right now?

It is in the process of being added to exchanges. As for the value, that all depends on what someone is willing to buy and sell for now, Smiley. Right now it has to be done under the table.

I know, but it wasn't the wrong answer. I put "A coffin" and "coffin", and both times it told me it was the wrong answer. I've heard that riddle before, so I know it's the right answer. Looks like the last time I play on here Sad
Hmm. How about I credit you for the next round. On me. Thats really strange through. The answer was A coffin. if your answer was "A coffin" it would have accepted it. Your answer simply has to be at least 85% similar.

I answered "Coffin," and it was accepted. Almost 100% sure that's exactly how I typed it.
