Hey guys! May be worth hitting up https://www.coinwallet.co/en/home/ for inclusion. Wasn't aware of them until recently but they don't charge on staking, they DO share staking, and have been around a while. A bit iffy on the 0.5% withdrawal fee but still a good option for those interested.

This project looks really cool, and I will help beta test it as well when it's ready for that stage, Smiley.

We have an IPO on BTC Pop, till now it looks very good, the site owners are working hard to gain confidence, we hope to get that working good, we wanted to get some new partners for a while and i think we found a good site to put our buisness available.

Its still a new site, not to many users, check it out so we can be more

Nobody is going to trust a new account that gives a good review of a site and basically tells people to deposit money on it.

Update! On the group buy, stats so far:

1 Full Share committed, split into 10 sub-shares
Of those 10 sub-shares:

1 reserved
1 paid
8 open

Offer is live until the 28th. If this one sells out, I'll commit to a second if there are any left.

Do I need to wager at least 1 btc in order to bet-mine rubies?

Technically under the new plan that a community member suggested, you can now earn Rubies from Bet-Mining in less time, the total earned is still the same but now you will get credited for Rubies in tenths. So now wagered volume in BTC credits like this: 0.1 BTC wagered receive 3 Rubies to your account, 0.2 BTC wagered receive 6 Rubies, 0.3 wagered= 9 Rubies etc. etc.
The number distributed has not changed, however it gives Rubies users access to their coins faster.

Public service announcement: only gamble what you can afford to lose, only bet a % of your bankroll you are comfortable with possibly losing, and remember this is just ONE use for Rubies and is for entertainment purposes and not to be confused with 'get rich quick' type of play.

I think the 0.1 BTC way is better for the growth of Rubies because it gives a chance for the guys with smaller bets also. For many that 0.1 volume can be quite hurdle and they might take a whole day to do it, so it is good if they are rewarded for it. I gave it a shot and managed to bet-mine some Rubies also, i got to 2 BTC wagered with 0.05 in a few minutes, then decided ill yolo it on a x2 and i lost, if i had not yolod i would have the rubies + some extra BTC. Wonderful system.

100% agree. 0.1 should be easy enough to obtain. I did that much a month or so ago with a starting BR of 100 bits.

The plinkoo new game is great. There is a lot of configuration that will change the odds for the game and I think that it is better if you make some notes or FAQ on how to get the desired payout for the plinkoo. It is hard for a new players to get the odds they want , too many to set and try by yourself  Grin

BTW what is the function of slope? I dont see anything besides the colour pins change

The pin colors are random, they change all the time :-)

The 'slope' parameter is the steepness of the slope used for scaling the payouts as you move from the center towards left/right side.

Consider that the slope at the lowest value is basically something very close to a straight line. As you increase slope, the straight line turns into something more "U" shaped, ie: slope increases and it get's steeper so the values towards the right/left edge of the line increase which in turn causes the values towards the center to decrease, since the house edge of 1% must be preserved.

Hopefully this gives you an idea of what slope does. If not, let me know and I'll try to give you a more accurate description.

Ahhh, I wasn't aware of that. So slope essentially just pushes the chance of bigger wins with less chance (higher multipliers).

any idea why my wallet often goes offline? when its offline do we need to restart the wallet?
well ive done that restart but its online awhile and goes offline again.. is this normal?

That's not normal at all. Shouldn't need restarted, either, as it constantly tries to reconnect. How many connections do you usually have in it?

What is a digital currency if it has no use outside market speculation or tech fluff? When Bitcoin was created it had an intended use and has become a powerful indicator of the future as a store of value. Rubies is proof of stake and allows anyone to mine, on both our site via Bet-Mining, and staking in your home wallets.

Rubies launched 9 days ago on a mission to become a top ten coin, we wanted to give it a use right from the start by allowing wagering on our site.
The public has spoken, after 9 days total volume on Rubies is:  Wagered: 103,256,684 RBIES

The next stage in distribution will be a month long (unlike staking/Bet-Mining), it benefits Rubies users, exchange volume, and gives new concepts to how we view distribution. It's being worked on right now and involves coordination with exchange admins, we hope you really like it.

Thank you to everyone for seeing the value in a long standing business backed coin, the outpouring of happy people has been amazing. Rubies was a labor of love, it was revised for months to refine it to survive in numerous business and market conditions. It's a long term coin, with an experienced team of Bitcoin/Rubies lovers. If you have been waiting for something more serious than vaporware or speculation then join our community. We have 1000's of people using Rubies, but like anything with true value, Rubies needs a foundation of accepting businesses and services first. Many coins attempt to attract business through exchange volume, we will be attracting exchanges through proven data, usage, and community requests.

This is a multi-year journey, we look forward to walking it with all of you.

-Bjorn

I'm looking forward to it as well! Most coins have nothing going for them and rely on their community to do everything for them. In your case, you're already starting out with an infrastructure. That's a huge thing, and it shows a lot about your dedication to making RBIES great! Smiley

hey guys,

i need the up to date hyper blockchain data directory ( no bootstrap.dat ), could you please compress and upload to mega, the bootstrap.dat takes a very long time + after it finish it get stuck on lots of orphans .

data directory must contain:

- database ( folder )
- blk0001.dat
- blkindex.dat

i can giveaway 0.04btc bounty  Smiley
Check here http://cryptochainer.com/dir/ It may be up to date.

That's the link! I was looking for that on Google to share it. If it's not up to date, it's still a lot faster than bootstrap I believe (if it gives the actual blockchain files).

THANK YOU! its great website!, i got the blockchain its up to 2-8-16 , please PM your btc address. Smiley

I think you quoted the wrong person. Rghmodz is the one that linked it, :p.

im a bit new to altcoins and such,  can someone explain to me how I can start staking with these rubies?  i have 1000 in my wallet but thats as far as i have gotten.

That's really all you need. Have them in your wallet (if your wallet is locked, unlock it for staking) and just wait for 12 hours, you should eventually see your staking proceeds be credited to your account/wallet. The process may take longer than 12 hours, just be patient and eventually you'll see your extra coins come in.
Will you only earn 5% of the annual value of your rubies? Or it varies?

coinsHeld*inputConfirmations*(5%/blocksPerYear) = interestPayableOnStake

(Note: inputConfirmations may be based on blocks since maturity only. I'm not 100% sure about that)

About two days, POS generates very low coins for me.
Is something you know why?

Hm, what percentages are you getting from staking? I mean two days dont tell anything, its too soon. How old are your coins anyway? I believe everything is (will be) ok.

e.g 17 and 18 feb. I have more than 170 transaction.
19 feb.   2 transaction
20 feb.   7 transaction
21 feb.   6 transaction

This information doesn't help. Each split means each input will take longer to stake the next time. For example:

1 input of 1k will take x
it splits into 2 inputs of 525
Each of those will now take 1.9x
those now split into two blocks of 270
Each of those 4 will now take 3.6x

and so on (all of this is just an estimate for explanation)

It's best to merge inputs on a regular basis. I personally do it every 20 or so splits (50 inputs).

Those of you whom havent logged in and claimed our RBIES are missing out. Come say hello in chat and roll a few times Smiley

And then consider taking part in the group buy! It's a profit share that is backed by a very reputable site and a great staff.
Are you gonna get enough ppl in the group to get a package? Almost sold out

I've already committed to buying a share. If anyone joins in, they essentially get part of mine. If my share fully sells out (or gets close to it) I would commit to a second. Personally, I'm fine buying 10 slots or 1. I'm doing this to allow others to get involved that otherwise wouldn't be able to.

Hi good morning, How do you determine the number (%) of my total amount to be staked. I added a number of rubies in my wallet (100%) last saturday;

and until now its only staing 30-50 % of my total number of rubies. Why won't it stake the whole amount? The rubies has the same age of maturity as the rest because I sent i all in one go, so I do not understand why only a percentage of my whole coin is staking and not all.

Please enlighten me. I see a lot of potential and I actually pulled out some of my altcoin investments for this, hope you can guide me.

Thanks Smiley

Each individual input is treated separately. Let's say you were getting 100% APR (just for easier math):

You made a 100 RBIES deposit. You hold for a year:
The deposit would theoretically return 100 RBIES and all stake at once

You made 2x 50 RBIES deposits. You hold for a year:
You may stake one (for 50) and then the other later on (for 50)

Ideally, you condense all inputs over time. I do it at 20 or so splits usually.

does my wallet stake when its offline? if not ill have to move it to a vps. been staking for almost 24 hours still says expected time to earn reward 1 day.

Expected time is yourWeight/networkWeight*blockTime

Every block that goes by increases the maturity/weight of your coins, so your priority goes up. If it's an issue running the client 24/7, you can run it once a week or month for much faster staking (you will get the same amount, roughly, that you would going 24/7).

That said, more clients = better security = better for everyone if you can.
1739  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Burger King Accepts Bitcoin on: February 21, 2016, 05:56:44 PM
Even if it is just a franchise this is outstanding visibility for bitcoin.  I'm sure lots of people who visit Burger King have never heard much about bitcoin and so to see it being accepted in a mainstream outlet is a good thing!

Eh, maybe to an outsider. In reality, though, people should understand how businesses work. I can pay a small sum of money to get a franchisee license for McDonald's. I can then tell people I accept BTC. That doesn't magically make McDonald's accept BTC -- it just means I do.

In the case of this, Burger King doesn't care if the owner accepts BTC, Zimbabwe dollars, or rocks -- they only care that they are paid in fiat, in the proper amount, every month. They don't care where it comes from or how he got it.
