We modified how games are stored to allow for increased betting capacity and better storage. That error is a result of a new automated security system recently implemented. We're working out a few edge-cases where it false-positives on older accounts, or accounts which received admin credits before /tip existed.

Ohhh, cool. Thanks for the response! Just to clarify, once it's been resolved on our account, we can invest/divest freely, correct? Like it shouldn't pop up again?
1902  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟Bitvest🌟 ▌Investor Plinko▐ Changeable Rows▐ Multidrop▐ BIG Promo▐ RTP:98.3% on: January 17, 2016, 12:26:04 AM
We are performing some schema changes and database optimizations, the site may appear slow or down for a while.

Edit: We're back, good luck everyone Smiley

Is this related to why investments are erroring out with "please contact support?"
1903  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Ore-Mine.org: 2427.18+ BTC paid. NEW YEAR'S MINES ADDED! The real income. on: January 16, 2016, 09:27:23 PM
this forum is near its end..everybody turns out to be a scammer...it is pointless to even bother myself reading all those posts because all the investments are gone just like the other sites here.  Obviously nobody wants or tries to do something good that could let others and the owner actually earn something worth wasting your time.
To the users(eventual investors): do not fall or invest any money in sites like this. Apperantly those people don't deserve to get investments from us.
To the owners of this kind of sh*t: Go f*ck yourselves!

This all started after the ATH. Prior to this, people were a community. It degraded due to all the people that joined BTC solely because of greed and not because of the bigger picture. It's now a toxic community, with 99% of the people out for nobody but themselves, screwing everyone else over in the hopes of getting rich with as little work as possible.

And about this situation, his explanation doesn't match up. There are far too many things that coincide with this to show that Sector is full of crap, and easy points of proof. That said, maybe this is his way of delaying things so he can "fix" everything and get it back up and running as it were before -- no way to tell. But his explanation so far has been completely false.

Now I know the reason why the financial service took attention at us.

Our main profit is from a Bitcoin trading, not from a mining, I told it before.
Our bots are trading on 4 markets. One of the market is cryptsy.com
After cryptsy.com became a scam, the financial service analyzed a trading volumes and maybe decided that we are connected/owners of cryptsy.com (because our deposits and withdrawals from cryptsy were huge).

Then they arrested our servers.
We have two copies of a full backup of a database and a wallet, and these backup are placed on servers from two different Ukrainian companies. But servers from both companies are currently arrested.

Firstly we decided not to place servers in USA or in EU, because servers in these places can be easily closed by any government service. As I already know, in Ukraine servers can be closed too.
Well, it's not good.

Our lawyers will finish their job soon. Their conclusion is that we did not break a law and we should win. But I also have been noticed than in some cases there are no any laws for government services. Any funds or companies can be arrested, any person can be arrested or even killed and nobody will look at the law. I did not say any word about a country which is doing that, but I guess all of you know which country I am talking about.

Some bad news: In case when we will take a control of our servers again, we will need to close some mines or to reduce all the production of users. Or I will set all bonuses fields as empty. We have some losses of our funds (about 22.6%). It was a trading volume on cryptsy.com. Now I really think that they will not allow us to receive this money back.

If ANYTHING, you should only alter bonuses. Don't screw over existing investors that put their trust into you.

Still waiting on 2 moderate size withdrawals from Sunday.

Sector, since one of your servers is working and paying out properly, can you cancel our stuck withdrawals and credit them back to our accounts so that we can withdraw from the working BTC server? This would solve the problem in the near term.

+1. It would also mean that funds aren't just sitting dormant and can earn interest. For people to have their withdrawals locked up almost a week is a long time considering they could have just as easily held off on withdrawing and they'd have more funds when the issue is fixed.

I can vouch for copy if wanted Smiley

Sorry but on this forum, I've given out tons of vouch copies and the only person who actually came through and wrote a review was master-P so I no longer offer vouch copies.

Generally, those of us that are reputable (have been around a long time and have a great reputation) follow through. For the most part, assuming someone wasn't a d-bag and sold their account, Legendary/Hero members can be trusted with things like this. I, for example, have given around 20 vouches for things I cared nothing about, solely to help the poster and potential customers of theirs. So not everyone is bad.
1908  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot.com :: The bitcoin gambling wallet on: January 13, 2016, 07:34:13 AM
Well seeing as the new thread for moneypot has been locked for some reason, I guess I'll post this here.

Since the new owner takeover about 3 weeks ago, this site seems extremely unfair.  They are bragging about a 12BTC profit for their bankroll.  Great, your cheating all the players out of their money, good job guys.

I've done nothing but lose.   I make small deposits of around 20k Bits.  So when I'm down 950,000 bits in less than 3 weeks, something is wrong.

I normally do alright on moneypot, win some here, lose some there, but nothing like this.    I was online before the new owners took over, then was back online right after the switch.    It was like night and day.    As soon as the new owners put up their version of the site, I did nothing but lose lose lose lose lose.

I was in the process of developing two casinos, one for myself and one for a client when the switch came.  I have already told my client about the new awesome ripoff version of moneypot and I believe he is pulling out and looking for another solution.

I am also no longer interested in finishing my casino or the 5 or 6 new unique games I had in development.   These guys obviously figured out a way to cheat the provably fair mechanism and are taking it all the way to the bank.

Any players out there would be wise to discontinue their patronage as this site no longer seems fair or legit.

Anyone who has the means, this would be a good time to set up a competitor to moneypot as I don't see one in the marketplace, and with the new ripoff version of moneypot stealing everyones money, (they should change the name to moneyPIT),  you would probably get some of the casino operators to come over to your network.

I would create one but I have no idea how to go about funding the wagers, which is why I used moneypit in the first place.

Anyway, you have all been warned.  Don't play on moneypot anymore,  new ownership are crooks and cheating people out of the their coin.

Looks like you're just re-posting the same thing you did long before the new owners took over... please look into provably fair systems. There's no way what you're claiming could possibly be true, and the sites themselves prove that.

I will start posting big weekly updates that show all the awesome ways to win, spend and earn HYPER soon.

The ecosystem is actually extremely large and developed, with more games, services and merchants than ever.

We also have some very big marketing and game development plans in the works.

In the meantime here are some little known very cool HYPER games and services:

You can earn HYPER while playing ANY Steam game: https://www.cashncarry.info/steam-sponsorship-info

Read the HYPER goals and strategy document at: http://hypercrypto.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/HYPER-Goals-and-VIsion-Official1.pdf

Get free HYPER playing World Of Warcraft. Any WoW player can enjoy this: https://www.cashncarry.info/servers/world-of-warcraft/wow-howtoplay

Check out all the new HYPER game servers and competitions at: https://www.cashncarry.info/servers

For some reason i did not know about the casnhcarry system (must have missed it). It is a nice initiative to help get the name out there something small that will reward you for doing the things you normally would. The rates seem a bit low especially on steam games but its understandable if the project gains more followers.

The rates were higher when HYPER had more value. It was easily possible to pull 500+ HYPER through leaderboards, and when they were $0.12 each, well... you do the math. They're low now because HYPER has far less value.

Ranlo where can you go to find that value?  I'm curious relevant to BTC where HYPER is now.  Definitely not $0.12 I'm sure but is there a great way to see that value?  Is it that value to the upper right hand portion of the screen on Bittrex?

I usually calculate myself when I need it for some reason, but a quick way is to just look at https://chainz.cryptoid.info/hyper/#

Hi Ranlo nice to see you here again!

The flat-rate rewards mean there's no more interest? Or is that on top of it (i.e., if I'd normally get 1 ENRG in interest, now I get 6)?

Not you get 5 ENRG as a fixed reward and each day you have a new chance to get that reward with an minimum 1000 ENRG block.
The big blocks get also the 5 ENRG reward but have more weight and that gives more chance to win but 24/7 online is then the best option to get maximum PoS rewards.
An new extra feature we add to the wallet that you can see how many time for getting your reward for staking.

Great changes! I like the direction you're heading in now, Smiley. May need to snag more ENRG.
1912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ENRG]Energycoin PoE (Prove of Environment) Green Cryptocurrency on: January 12, 2016, 09:22:21 AM
Hi Community,

Team-EnergyCoin gave the order to the developer to fork EnergyCoin for slowdown the blocktime and set a fixed block-reward and add several extra security tweaks see the following new specs:

Quote
0. PoS minimum difficulty: 0.00097656 (new) Target block time: 150 seconds (new)

1. Implement the recent important security updates similar to LTC and DOGE.

2. Change PoS reward to a fixed amount of 5 ENRG to encourage more people staking

3. Narrow the allowable range of stakesplitthreshold (1000 default and 5000 max).

4. Allow users to split into multiple outputs easily when sending
coins (eg: split into multiple 1000 ENRG).

For now if see only 11 nodes online. I hope more people start staking again soon!
We have some VPS running but that is not enough for a secure network.
The new software is a standard flavour on the Rocos platform!
We have so much potential for future environmental energy application that I am wondering why not more people join our community and start buying ENRG and staking. The resource problems with the very high speed blocktime is over is a few weeks and the fixed PoS reward is also for small shareholders a good chance for extra profit!
So start your wallets and support EnergyCoin as much as you can!

I'm interested in knowing how these are sourced as well... it's a great discount, but that also makes it a bit suspect (normal is ~5-10%). Can you confirm, even if via PM?

a for-profit community website where anonymous contributors could get paid in cryptocoins

good enough of a directive, so "for-profit" is the key?

still need a rough list of content (for guidance)
and why not key projects listed (maybe already done just unaware)

Yeah, I would say the site needs to be self-sustaining. Basically, earning enough advertising revenue so it can pay the contributors and other workers.

The "post whatever you want" approach of devtome sounded good in theory, but to be profitable a website probably needs to focus on stuff that visitors actually want to read.

Off hand, maybe erotica or fan fiction?  Maybe original short fiction (4000-8000 words) by specific genre or niche blogging?  Honestly, a lot of ideas would work but it has to be legit content and not just posting up text for the sake of a word count.

You're not going to solve the problem of writers "just posting up text for the sake of a word count" by just picking a more specific theme for the Devtome. Here's how we dealt with this issue in the past. The Devtome has (or did have) quality control admins who evaluate content for quality. We had a writer rating system and that score would impact the writer share count. I was one of the raters. We looked for things like basic correct spelling/grammar, understandable writing, basic formatting (such as was there a title?). If a piece of writing was especially bad, I would send a link to one of the quality control admins and see what they wanted to do. A lot of bad content got removed from the Devtome during that time. My point is that particular issue was addressed in the past and worked well as long as the admins did their jobs and the Devtome had basic functionality. The raters were paid a certain number of shares (I think it was up to five) per round, but those shares only got paid out if we completed our rating page (and it had to include a certain number of comments beyond our score). At some point I quit receiving rating pages to complete and I assumed it was because I went a few months without posting any new writer content, but when I finally asked about it it turned out that the rating of writers program had just gotten dropped.

+, this was a great asset. I disagreed with some of the ratings given out by others, but because it was normalized/averaged between all ratings, it was a fair system.

Is new moneypot team have thread I not see advertising of it. Sorry to ask here but hoping your team have info on new things.

There is only greeting thread from the new team https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1274857.0 but it is locked already and  seems that the new team is not as active as the previous owner Rhavar.

Please don't make false assumptions. We're very, very active. We've had around 20+h of meetings with MP app owners just over the past 4-5 days.

We closed that thread because it was derailed. We're creating a formal MP announcement, which will be a lot more detailed than any of the previous ones (and will, for example, be helping promote various apps on the platform).

can somebody from dev confirm that? my wallet finally sync, so I want know, or I should wait first rewards or must resend coins?
p.s. wallet eating >700mb ram its normal?

Yeah, the wallet is a huge ram hog. Not sure if anyone's working to fix that. A lot of coins are below 256 MB ram so it's a pretty big deal.

Yes, a future wallet update will fix the RAM issues, There is still also a bounty for a lite HYPER wallet Electrum style, if anyone is interested in making that wallet and claiming the bounty.

zazarb, now that you are fully synced you will be staking optimally. DO NOT resend the coins to another address, this will reset the coin age and you will miss out on your stakes!

How much HYPER is in your wallet? You should be staking nicely now please let me know.

I am in talks with some of our biggest HYPER supporters and we are coming up with many initiatives to push HYPER forward in 2016.

If anyone wants to contribute in any way please PM me.

Currently I am looking for someone to manage the official HYPER twitter account, but if you have any other ideas on promoting HYPER, or any kind of HYPER project you would like to work on, please also PM me.

There are also plans for more games.

Stay tuned ...

I would LOVE an Electrum clone for HYPER (preferably Electrum HD). I have a hardware wallet and this would be a lot better in terms of security.

By equity do you mean you buy shares in bitcoin?  Or on a traditional stock exchange?

Both, :p. I'm always up for hearing people's business ideas/opportunities and seeing if we can work something out.
1918  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCjam - Any Thoughts or Experiances on: January 11, 2016, 03:05:06 AM
I have never used it because from what I heard, a lot of people default their loans so it is too risky for me.
Some people have had some success with it though

Based on their stats, if you loan ONLY to reputable people, you're looking at 26%+ in APR but losing 15%+ due to defaulters, for a net of around 10% APR.

And what happens if the global economy slips into recession, as indicated by commodities prices and CNY devaluation?  The default rate increases to 30% and you are net unprofitable at best.

Well, yeah. This is why you would never risk more than you can afford to lose. And I personally don't risk much at ALL in things like this (as in very, very small amounts). I deal almost purely in equity-based transactions.
1919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HYPER ~ Game Currency ~ ON CNBC ~ Twitch.tv ~ ShapeShift.io ~RPG + More! on: January 10, 2016, 06:18:42 AM
Hmm, lets see:

Code:
static const int64 MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_STAKE = 0.6 * COIN;	// 60% annual interest - 5% monthly interest
static const int64 MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_STAKE2 = 0.1 * COIN;
static const int64 MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_STAKE3 = 0.02 * COIN;

Code:
const int YEARLY_BLOCKCOUNT = 1051200;	// 365 * 2880
int64 GetProofOfStakeReward(int64 nCoinAge, unsigned int nBits, unsigned int nTime, int nHeight)
{
    int64 nRewardCoinYear;
nRewardCoinYear = MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_STAKE;

if(nHeight > (5 * YEARLY_BLOCKCOUNT))
nRewardCoinYear = MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_STAKE2;

if(nHeight > (10 * YEARLY_BLOCKCOUNT))
nRewardCoinYear = MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_STAKE3;

    int64 nSubsidy = nCoinAge * nRewardCoinYear / 365;

Lets get facts more straight.
60% yearly interest != 5% monthly interest.
Dont be fooled by fancy word "compounding" either. It has next to non existing effect with this coin.

Code:
unsigned int nStakeMaxAge = 60 * 60 * 24 * 30;

Max age being 30 days. Dont always expect to get daily stakes if network stake weight gets high.

Good luck with a coin, Dev.

Max age being 30 days.

That's really weird. I've waited to stake until 2.5m+ and got more than 2x what I normally did doing it on the same day each month...
can somebody from dev confirm that? my wallet finally sync, so I want know, or I should wait first rewards or must resend coins?
p.s. wallet eating >700mb ram its normal?

Yeah, the wallet is a huge ram hog. Not sure if anyone's working to fix that. A lot of coins are below 256 MB ram so it's a pretty big deal.
