1561  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I've got $20k to invest. Please recommend! on: March 23, 2016, 06:36:03 AM
I would just invest in the bitcoin but not with the full 20k amount, invest around 15k in the bitcoin and just hold them for a price increase.
This can be done in a short term but also in a long term of course, with a short term the halving will help you for sure.

Bad idea. It's beyond stupid to risk 75% on a risky investment. Like monumentally stupid.
1562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ◆Rubies◆ [RBIES] Trade-Mining | Business backed from launch. on: March 23, 2016, 06:33:58 AM
Another great Dust Lottery Promo with RBIES prize worth 0.4 BTC!

What do you mean 'for every 0.8 BTC gained," though? Like 0.8 BTC wagered? Or won?

is hyper the best coin for gaming?

It depends on exactly what you mean by that - but there are certainly a lot of exciting projects in the pipeline.  I can definitely see it becoming the most important crypto used in online gaming over the next couple of years.

If it ever got adopted into a MMO that takes off... it could be HUGE. Technically doesn't need to be a MMORPG, either. Just a unique, popular game where HYPER is the only way in/out. It needs uniqueness.

//snake, rattle & roll

I would absolutely love to see this. I don't even remember seeing it on NES, but it looks like a fairly unique/different take on Snake, which is awesome.
1565  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: March 22, 2016, 07:22:45 PM
I'm investing these days because the bitcoin has a really good future a head so why should you save money.
You should not save money if you can make more money by investing in the bitcoin.

certainly better investment than saving. especially with the investment we can grow our money, but you should really choose an investment that has a small risk. because I see the most current investment in bitcoin has a high risk. not like investing in gold.

Gold is risky as well. It's been down YoY for many years now. Still not sure why people who clearly don't invest are trying to give advice that's clearly delusional.

Not everyone can invest in gold its only for rich traders unlike bitcoin everyone can really start small while in gold you really need to have a big capital to trade it.

What? You can buy physical gold for as little as $30 (probably smaller, depending on the seller). Not sure where that classifies as "rich" at.
But what will a trader earn with that? Just consider how much time and work will he spend for it to trade with it. But with bitcoin everything is instant with some clicks laying at your bed in your home.

What does any of that have to do with my response to "its only for rich traders?"
1566  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I've got $20k to invest. Please recommend! on: March 22, 2016, 08:55:07 AM
You'd rather invest it to something real  like https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1023187.300 to which you need 10btc to receive dividend as your income than going into trading which you could loose instead. but this is an option for you encase you wanted to learn.

Uh, you can lose with HaoBTC as well. There is no guarantee. They could be considered as high-risk, low-reward (you're risking everything for a pretty low annual return).
1567  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: March 22, 2016, 08:29:03 AM
If you know where you can invest your money and it will make profit for you better to invest sure.
Saving money isn't smart. Always need to try multiply your goods.
saving money isnt smart? then i guess according to you the better idea would be to spend it all in an investing company that would scam you yes?

there is no such thing as guaranteed investments as any company can turn to just another ponzi scam and take all your money

If you vet out investments, you should have a near-zero failure rate. The issue is people here are stupid and won't take the time to do that, and instead say "OMG you're giving 5000% per year GUARANTEED? TAKE ALL MY MUNEHS!"
The best thing that you can do now. Is doing both. That will be the safest option I think. Because you will not lose money because you are saving.
And that is very good. And with investing you can also make some money but that needs time.

No... you invest in safe things and slightly riskier (or much more risky) ones. The safe ones will only go up, but at a slow rate -- better than sitting money around getting nothing.
1568  Economy / Speculation / Re: $1 million for 1 bitcoin.Here is how on: March 22, 2016, 04:37:17 AM
I got this while posting in some different thread.A lot of guys here speculate and hope bitcoin to reach $1 million.Although I also wish that to happen but I wonder how would it happen, will it happen if Bitcoin become mainstream? I think if some oil producing nation start accepting bitcoins for exporting oil than Bitcoin price can shoot to $1 million..

BTC is designed more as a mode of transferring wealth than as an investment vehicle. Hence "cryptocurrency," and not "cryptoinvestment." You all keep focusing on the completely wrong thing.
This is the best I have heard about bitcoin so far.It has given me a new perspective of bitcoin. Yes if we consider it as a mode of transferring wealth,we need not store it but only if we consider it an investment (which should not be the case),it leads to hoarding of bitcoin
But until bitcoin hit mainstream of adoption like more popularity across globe, it will act as "cryptoinvestment". Gold is an investment as well as medium of exchange. Same way we can expect bitcoin all the time to be a currency as well as investment.

Gold is NOT an investment. I really wish some of you people knew what you were talking about before you ramble on and spread misinformation. Gold is a monetary storage vehicle. It's not meant to bring profit; it's simply meant to keep up with inflation. No more, no less. "Investment" insinuates you're in it to bring a positive return -- keeping up with inflation is simply a net-zero effect.

thanks,

Oregon trail.  Grin What old school memories! I too died of dysentery a million times back in 1988, my favorite was when I got to die from exhaustion.  Grin
And let's not forget hunting all the tasty squirrels. Yummy.
I think im going to download that game and play it again, just for fun.
Thanks for reminding me of the good ol days.

Thanks for your kind words. Yes. You can play the original one here http://www.virtualapple.org/oregontraildisk.html

Wow...just thinking how cool would it be to replace the money with HYPER...so when you play the game you deposit your initial investment at the beginning of the game. It's a pay to play platform that way....hmm...interesting.

There would need to be a way to earn from it too though. And that would complicate things since you'd have to make sure the game earns more than it pays (or it goes insolvent).

Investing into altcoin ventures can be profitable, look into coin ICO's and new coin announcements. That's where i put all my money Cheesy

How do you find these ICO coins ?

Don't. That guy is trying to sabotage you for some sick enjoyment he obviously has. ICOs are one of the fastest ways to lose everything you own.
1574  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: March 21, 2016, 05:56:38 PM
Its better to invest these days because the bitcoin will get up in his worth without any doubts.
Its just a matter of time before the price will go up so buy them now are, regret it later.
yes I agree with you. bitcoin has a good future. invest in bitcoin has the prospect of higher compared to save money. saving money is not going to change your money nominal. but will change the nominal invest your money. invest primarily invest in bitcoin.
true, saving money is not going to make your money and yourself evolve, try investing, perhaps with it you can gain valuable experience and high profit

Investing is too risky...be careful.

If you're not too smart, yeah, it's too risky. You can't just throw money at random crap and hope to win. If you're vetting out opportunities your risk rate should be almost nonexistent (and your wins will more than overpower any losses you come across in rare occasions).

1576  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: March 21, 2016, 09:11:57 AM
For now i will choose bitcoin rather than bank.cause for bitcoin is the most convinient to make transactions online. Hassle free.

i will choose both of them, i know bank take "fee " ffor each transaction and store my money, bank need money to save your money, to building country, to give help to other people, that why bank take fee.

The way i do it is for online transaction i use bitcoin so that there will be no hassle in wait for the payment.
After the payment i put some the exchange and put some at the bank.

This is what I do as well. I consider Web wallets the hot wallet, local wallet the cool wallet, and the cold wallet as the cold one, Smiley. Also saves on fees using Xapo/Coinbase.
1577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people own 21 BTC aproximately? on: March 21, 2016, 08:49:21 AM
It is possible to know the exact amount of adresses but i don't know that number and there will be quite a number of people out there with 21 bitcoin. If you strive really hard and if you have a good rank it can't be that hard

What does your rank have to do with how much money you have? There are legendaries with no money and newbies with millions. There's no correlation.
1578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people own 21 BTC aproximately? on: March 21, 2016, 08:43:27 AM
whats so special about 21 bitcoins,  if you can earn more than 21 btc that would be better don't you think?
I certainly don't want just 21 btc in my wallet, i just don't have them right now but won't limit myself to own just 21. if i have more than 50btc i'd feel much better.

21 means you own 1/1,000,000 so you're one in a million, :p.

The UI looks shitty as fuck

Wow what an awsome constructive critic. I'm stėll impressed how detailed you described what and why you dislike it. Compliment !

Not everybody has enough money to get Elton John and George Michael as designers like site of choise - primedice. I personally prefer an advanced site that offers a bit more then just clicking "high" or "low", and I like to do bet way faster then 1 roll per 10 minutes. It's also pretty nice when a site is under active developement and things getting added or fixed, instead of just removed if they dont work like intended.

But that might be just my opinion Wink

And I'm in the opposite boat. I like how it is. So I counter that other guy's argument, :p.

For some reason, this one doesn't blind me like most darker sites do, and that's a HUGE thing for me.

thanks,

To be honest, I didn't watch the entire thing, but I did watch some of it. I can say you've really gotten better at this though. This was a lot more natural and felt less 'forced' or uncomfortable than usual!

Do the videos often come out bad?

Not 'bad,' but more like inexperienced with public speaking. A ton of "uh" and such, kind of sporadic thoughts, etc. Just the normal stuff you get better at over time.
