1361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why sports betting? on: November 30, 2023, 04:42:45 PM
I personally feel like sports betting is more trustworthy than other forms of online gambling. Sure, some games are probably fair but I feel like there’s always that feeling in the back of your head that things might not always be on the up and up. With sports gambling the odds are there for you to see and it just seems like there’s no way to pull one over on you.
1362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jack Dorsey wants to decentralize Bitcoin mining with new investment on: November 30, 2023, 09:40:09 AM
Decentralized mining pools have existed for a long time. P2pool was an excellent project but in the end people want what is most profitable and not what is best for the network. So I’m not sure how well this project will do, or what similarities it shares with p2pool, but I wish it the best success and hope to learn more about it.
1363  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What if we had only one language? on: November 30, 2023, 09:38:07 AM
So I have been wondering what if we had only one language?

What if all the countries of the world speaks just one language, would it have brought peace and unity in the world?

What's even the scientific explanation to the different languages we have in the world?

Lots of cultures don’t want to be the ones to give up their native language. How would you propose that the one true human language is chosen? More likely, over time AI will improve to the point that it will be able to translate languages on the fly and an implant will allow you to hear any language in your native tongue. Not as far off as you’d think….
1364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who says you can't be a millionaire in sports betting? on: November 29, 2023, 11:49:08 PM
I’m sure there are stories of people becoming millionaires from gambling, but there are far more that have gone broke. There are also people who have made millions of dollars selling fine art, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to pick up a paintbrush. The most true saying about how to become a millionaire by gambling, is to start with two million.
1365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 29, 2023, 11:45:15 PM
Not really embarrassing. The Kings have been playing great basketball since last year and they continue to prove it this year, and the Warriors on the other hand really kinda suck early this season, especially Klay who seems to have lost his impact to his team.
Let's see if they could turn the table around and improve eventually.
It's also good to see for both of this team face in the playoffs again.
Sometimes I wonder how the Kings have matured and improved these days.
The result of the game against the Warriors was an excellent answer to prove this.
Maybe the Kings don't have the same level of experience as the Warriors, but I have no doubt that Sacramento will improve and in the future, they are a young team with great potential.

I also confess that it would be very interesting to watch the Kings x Warriors face each other again in the playoffs.

Once the Kings got Sabonis it was clear they became the better team. It’s almost like the Kings were built to exploit the weaknesses of the Warriors. Their lack of speed and size… Sabonis bullies the entire team and Fox shuts Curry down. The rest of the players like Monk and Barnes put them over the top. It’s time for the Warriors to do whatever is necessary to keep Steph and sign Giannis.
1366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 29, 2023, 12:11:30 PM
No televised games to bet on today but there are a couple of lopsided matchups that might prove to be easy money. You never know though, especially when it comes to the Lakers. However, the Lakers are wild favorites to beat the Detroit Pistons tonight, as are the Orlando Magic favored to beat the Washington Wizards. Might be worth a multi bet.

$40k by Friday?

I’m just hoping for $40K by the end of December but by Friday would be nice as well. It’s certainly a possibility the way the market has been spiking upwards. It could literally happen anytime. Friday does seem a bit soon though. $40K is just a small appetizer though. The real meal will be the run that shoots us over the all time high and into six digits.
1368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 29, 2023, 11:05:56 AM
I just recently understood how the rules will be in a tiebreaker of the In-Season tournament. So, it was a point system, just like in FIBA and the Olympics.
When the commentator talked about it during the Warriors vs Kings game that the Warriors need 12 points and win the game, that's when I understood it. I am stupid to think that they will use the regular season rankings to identify the winner.

So, the Warriors were defeated so I guess there's no problem in Group C anymore. It was actually a sad defeat because they tried very hard to make a 17-point lead and I really thought they could win the game. But Payton was hurt, CP3 was also hurt, and those two will be their key to winning the game. Sure, Wiggins is hot but still, when it comes to defense, Payton was the one who stopped Fox from attacking the paint.
It was a nice rotation from Steve Kerr, he did well despite all those problems. But, they still lost and I think the Warriors need more time to catch up on chemistry with Draymond Green.

I was surprised to see the Warriors though losing the game, I thought they have it in the bag when they build a huge lead in the second quarter, never bother to watch. But when I check the score the Kings was able to make that huge comeback and win the game. Fox can't be stop by Klay, if I'm not mistaken he was the first one to handle Fox, but we all know how fast he is. Draymond is back in the game, but still, not enough, and yes I think there could be chemistry issues right now with the Warriors but they have the mentality of a champion, so I think they can figure it out.

I think everyone watching the game was surprised to see the Warriors lose. That one one hell of a comeback by the Kings, who seem to have the Warriors number these days. The Warriors are just getting old and the Kings exploit their age and lack of size with youth, running, and Sabonis downright bullying them in the paint.
1369  Economy / Goods / Re: ~ Buying a TESLA CYBERTRUCK with BITCOIN ~ on: November 29, 2023, 02:45:05 AM
Is there any word if Tesla will accept Bitcoin payments for vehicles again?

I haven’t heard anything to suggest that will be happening but there’s always hope. If there was going to be news on this front I imagine we’d hear about it on Thursday.

There have been some interesting leaks though. Including this one about a solar cover. I wonder if it’ll just be a car cover with solar panels or if it will be something build into the truck. More news soon…

Berkshire Hathaway Says Charlie Munger Died Today

99yo.
He didn't get Bitcoin.

A sad day for investors as Charlie Munger was certainly one of the greats. It will be interesting to see how Berkshire Hathaway adjusts its strategy going forward and this will certainly be a wake up call to Warren Buffett that he needs to have a solid succession plan in place. I will await whatever wise words Warren Buffett has to say about this.
1371  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Restart, is it a good thing for humanity? on: November 28, 2023, 07:29:14 PM
I think rather than a restart, which will not benefit the quality of life for those in modern countries, it is best to get the hell off this rock and find a long term stable second option. It is crazy to think that all life as we know it could perish for any number of reasons. This is why SpaceX is doing great work and why so many rich folks are exploring space programs.
1372  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people give preferential treatment to mothers more than fathers on: November 28, 2023, 07:26:49 PM
Obviously everyone has their own circumstances so I wouldn’t consider this a steadfast rule. However, mothers do literally grow the child inside their womb, so it is understandable they would feel a little stronger connection than a father might. At least on average. Courts also favor mothers for this reason, but that doesn’t mean their aren’t fathers out there who aren’t closer to their children.
1373  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price $45k by ending of 2023: AI prediction on: November 28, 2023, 07:24:30 PM
I think predictions are something that AI doesn't do very well, because predictions are inaccurate but AI calculations are always accurate.
that's why I don't believe in it.
45k$ is too high for bitcoin right now.
We can be in the 35k range by the end of the year, which is very good.

Obviously AI can’t predict the future and I think the way it collects information would lead it to be spectacularly wrong in cases when markets change. However, it isn’t that hard to predict the price of something two months out. It says something that the prediction was so bullish I guess, but it’s just trumpeting what everyone else is saying.
1374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not this guy on: November 28, 2023, 07:21:33 PM
Gambling is about entertainment after all is said and done. Surely there are rich people who just enjoy the ride and don’t need to worry about being in it for the money. Some people spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in a strip club during a night and thing that it was money well spent. Everything is relative and some perspectives are just different.
1375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: November 28, 2023, 07:19:26 PM
That's right, and it's very scary to see the eyes of mothers and wives who have been struggling with the addiction of husbands and sons for years.. and unsuccessfully. The eyes of these women are gray and tired, because they have seen how much a person can fall, while being a native. And I think that anyone would droop seeing how someone who until recently was a cheerful and cheerful guy is trying to borrow money from those with whom he met a few hours ago. You wouldn't wish such a fate on anyone.
When a person is sick, and like it is the case here those which are addicted are sick on their minds, the ones that are around them suffer greatly, and in some cases it could be said they even suffer more than the sick ones, as they try to do anything that could help their loved ones, only for every single attempt to fail, so this is very draining mentally and it could cause some of them to develop issues on their own as they cannot deal with that situation anymore.

Of course it is the people around them who suffer. The addict is just feeding their addiction so they are happy. They must be or they would change their behavior. If they are unhappy and choose not to change their behavior then they have no one else to blame but themselves. In the end, people need to be the ones to hold themselves accountable for their actions.
1376  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top Halloween Online Casino Bonus or Promo on: November 28, 2023, 07:16:28 PM
A bit late in the year to be keeping the Halloween bonus thread alive. Perhaps you should consider renaming the topic to Top Christmas (or End Of Year) Online Casino Bonus or Promo… That or maybe start a new thread and let this one fall into the abyss if it’s possible for it to stop being bumped.

Go go go BTC

39K In one hour

With the current trajectory, we'll be cutting it close but I'm cheering for bitcoin Smiley

I was a bit surprised to wake up to a greater than $38K BTC price this morning. It seems like no matter what news comes out Bitcoin is just going to keep rallying. Feels like it is going to end the year above the $40K mark which in itself might be enough to get some people off the sidelines and into the market once the total year performance is in the books.
1378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 28, 2023, 05:25:41 PM
A bunch of in-season tournament games today and a couple of them will be aired on TNT for Chuck and the crew to give commentary on. First up is the Miami Heat vs the Milwaukee Bucks. Then you have a rematch of last year’s playoff battle between the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings which I think will be a good one.
1379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 27, 2023, 11:12:03 PM
I just saw an interesting fact. Tonight LeBron James is going to pass Kareem for the most career minutes played in NBA history. A pretty huge accomplishment.
1380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 27, 2023, 09:13:21 PM
No televised games today but we do have a couple interesting ones. The two worst teams in the league are facing off to see who the absolute worst team in the league is. The Detroit Pistons and the Washington Wizards are both 2-14… I think Detroit likely has an edge with this matchup though because Jordan Poole has been playing so streaky…
