is it still worth it to mine this solo with 2500kh?
You'll find a block in ~9-10 hours probably but there's always the chance of bad luck. I would go pooled to avoid risk since difficulty is going to take a huge jump soon.

I can connect and get a few accepted, but most I see is: - Stratum from pool 0 requested work restart (every few seconds) - Stratum from pool 0 detected new block (every 10-15 seconds)
230kh/s, got 2 shares accepted in first 3 minutes, no stales, next 15 minutes no share accepted at all. What is wrong? I use cgminer --scrypt -o chnpool.yourcoins.org:8400 -u walletaddress -p x -s 5 --expiry 5 --queue 0
This is normal and won't affect payouts, just means your miner is fetching new work. At 230kh/s it's going to take some time for you to see shares accepted. better result by tagging "-s 5 --expiry 5 --queue 0" on
+1 those are the settings I use as well, added them to the OP.

You have to play with your settings or something.. I have 65-70% stales
I've found another reason for high reject rates with cgminer is it could be submitting old shares if you just switched pools, which will sort itself out. You can also try lowering intensity, at least on my 7950s 18 seems to give the best result. Anything higher nets a better hash rate but more stales.

why is there so many rejects on this pool?
The reject rate is less than some other P2Pools I've seen on here. I'll see if I can improve it, it's not the hardware though - pool's running on a dual E5-2620 and 64GB RAM. However, you shouldn't be seeing 50% rejects, that is likely a miner config issue

Just threw one card on here, so far all seems to be well.
Cool, looks like we hit a few blocks in the past hour

Firewall was trigging some false positives, anyone that was having trouble connecting before should be able to now.
|
|
|
can't connect...
can't ping it either
Odd, well it's possible the firewall banned you. PM me your IP and I can take a look. Aside from that, I tried accessing it from 3 different networks just now and none had trouble connecting. Anyone else have trouble connecting?

Seems people are wanting more CHNCoin pools so I decided to set one up: UPDATE: Pool is temp down for now, DDoS... not much I can do, attack was pretty massive - 8.4 gbit worth. I'll update when/if it comes back. It's a P2Pool, so use your payment address as username to connect Quick & easy CGMiner command line: cgminer --scrypt -o url -u walletaddress -p x -s 5 --expiry 5 --queue 0 I'm currently pointing around 1 MH/s to it myself. It's on a 1gbit line (unmetered) and latency should be very low for anyone in the US. Pool fee is 3 %. Enjoy! If you have any problems, let me know. Update: We're up to 40 MH/s+ now and over 20 blocks found!

Good idea - just signed up

Woah, BitBar difficulty at 13 now already, they're increaisng highly in worth now.
Already way higher than CHN and that came out a few days before.
|
|
|
I decided to setup a new P2Pool here:
dead
Edit: All is working well, we've found 20+ blocks since and over 35 MH/s

Seems better now. Was getting like 40 rejects in the first minute I joined for some reason, it's 95%+ accepts now.
|
|
|
Is it working? I'm getting loads of rejects.

Funny. After reading all you guys negative replies I changed my mind and sold my entire stash for 25 LTC per k. 7k. which would now have been worth 21 BTC ! I'm never listening to you guys again You never know. Genuinely surprised they added it, though.

Yes, please stop. I respect your enthusiasm for the bar but seeing you plaster your site everywhere is getting annoying. That's not even a true exchange anyway.

|
|
Well, this coin lives up to the name.

For those not want to open up client to check on network stats, I put together a network stats page here: http://www.bitbar.info/stats/index.phpI will add more stats and forum next week. Site is not done. Nice work!

You can add me as well. Selling 1 BTB for 2 BTC
Thanks.
