Today I sent all my broken Antminer S5 parts to Bitmaintech (Serbia) #1: Beagle Bone Black #2: S5 Hash PCB x 1 #3: S5 Control PCB with 18 pin connectors #4: Beagle Bone Black #5: S5 Hash PCB x 1 with 18 pin connector #6: S5 Hash PCB x 1 with 18 pin connector #7: S5 Hash PCB x 1 with 16 pin connector I have purchased a total of 35 Antminer S5. It is not a very large percentage broken parts, because some things were only minor errors. LEDs not working and temperature sensor showed zero. Today was shipped out from China all spare parts . So I am happy with the speed of warranty service. But be sure to get paid 20% VAT. Hopefully not to much. For missing Control PCB and BBB was made for a quick temporary solution.

Hi HerbPean, We're very sorry to hear you are unhappy with the service you are getting. The unit at hand has experienced massive corrosion as can be seen in the images below: These are just a few examples, there's extensive rust and corrosion damage across the boards. This damage can only be caused by exposure to either extreme low temperatures, very high humidity, or both. The unit has been damaged so badly it can only be fixed by replacing the boards. We take pride of the quality of our units and service yet even our units have their limit, just like any other electronic device. Our customer service has RMA several units as I'm sure the forum members can verify, however we cannot cover damages that are caused by improper maintenance. Our team will continue to work with you as best they can to help you out and will be happy to continue doing so in the future. Regards, Gadi The electronics plate must be covered with a protective lacquer coating. I've fixed hundred of the new LG electronics that were damaged in sea water. Usually only needed replacing electrolytic capacitors. That was five years ago, and many of them are working today.

You can calculate it yourself.
Hash Rate: 1155 GH/s Power Efficiency: 0.51 J/GH (at the wall)
Power Consumption: 590 W (at the wall)
Hash Rate: 1300 GH/s Power Efficiency still the same : 0.51 J/GH (at the wall)
Power Consumption: x W (at the wall)
x = 664 W

Soooo here my experience with the RMA.
First, if you don't run your machine in a perfect condition (Not like me cracking a window so the intake got fresh air), you might want to think 2 time before sending your machine back. BTW, my other machine was next to this one and it's still run rock solid. (1654gh) So I guess that was a bit of bad luck ...
So as I was using my SP20E close to a cracked windows and they found some corrosion near a capacitor. Also dust (because I didn't want to open it to void the warranty) and it's not under warranty because of the corrosion. Both ASIC 0 and 4 on each blade (which are the first one next to intake) are in bad shape.
Asking 200$ (105$ shipping and 95$ for the diagnose) for the exact same machine.
Asking 250$ per board to replace them plus the 200$ us.
Sooooo next time you run one of those close to a windows. You should keep it home I guess. Open it yourself, have a look or find a electronic specialist to have a look. It will save you time and you machine.
If I knew, I would simply disable the Asic and keep like this ...
but now for 200$ us ?
Not even sure it worth to get it back ...
I am only happy that at least one can now understand , how the "good" company will become to KNC.Soooo here my experience with the RMA.
.... So as I was using my SP20E close to a cracked windows and they found some corrosion near a capacitor. Also dust (because I didn't want to open it to void the warranty) and it's not under warranty because of the corrosion. .......

well, i would think the best you can get for 1-3 is a coupon since the miner otherwise mines (?) 4) you could switch it with a working BBB - sounds like its either not getting power or has a more serious issue. 5/6) might be bad boards then - RMA?
4. I forgot to write.. With another BBB its work perfectly. From 5 and 6 - I put it together one 100% working miner and one 100% not working miner. Because one did not work right side blade and the other did not work right side blade. I swapped them with radiators. Now I have miner, which only 100% working part is the fan. It will still be 5% loss, of the twenty miners. This is EUR 500 including taxes, I've paid for this miner.

please send the details to support@bitmain.zendesk.comAlso, if you want to keep it publish here for the response, sure, please let us know which one hashes at the spec within -5%? if you could, please list 1-6 with damaged parts that need replacement (Non-hashing item or under performing parts) Also, what country this RMA needs to go to? USA, EU or Russia-Ukraine? Thanks! Sended. I had a quick question . Which of these errors go under warranty? Please reply to this. 1 Yellow LED an BeagleBone Black does not work. Hashing 1153GH7s 2 One board shows temp 0. Hashing 1155GH/s Will go under warranty? 3 Mined 1155GH/s , but will not light up green blinking LED.. Someone in factory Scraped off the resistor... Will go under warranty? 4 BeagleBone Black working only 1 hour, and and after it is dead. No network, no network leds . Hash 0 GH/s 5 Hashing half speed. 50% One of the miners shows on one blade only 6 chip ( 6 x o ) 6 Only one blade is working. I get the ----- or xxxxx . The first few minutes are ooooooo , Hashing only half the speed. 50% Will go 1.2.3.4.5.6 all under warranty? EDITOK: All 6 miners go under the warranty.

3 months!
this is kind of standard in the mining world because of the high diff jumps and fast decreasing value of the hardware.
times might change... or not
It is not 3 monts. Only 90 days of shipping date. And its not standard. EU requirements - 2 years of the new product, if the seller is a company. US BFL single warranty 5 year Sweden KNC Jupiter warranty 1 year Chinese - 90 day

my guess: 1) is the BBB getting power through gpio? try powering it with a 2A usb cable to see if it runs 2) bad sensor. it happens 3) it happens, poor SMD placement 4) try usb cable for power, try a different network cable (or check connection at router) 5) power delivery - maybe use 2x PCIe connectors from a better PSU 6) same as ^
ive had a raspberri pi stop accepting power through GPIO, and only work if usb-powered. its possible you have a similar issue, or a bad OS image on the BBB
1. Antminer S5 BeagleBone Black does not have a USB connector. BeagleBone Black runs, only yellow led not work. 2. 3. 4. Antminer S5 BeagleBone Black does not have a USB connector. The second network cable to the same. 5. I tried a different PSU. No help. 6. same as ^

Getting my first C1 later this week with a new and dry cooling kit. What's the best coolant options to fill it with? Looking for max cooling to keep fan noise low.
Distilled Water... I used a water-cooled Antminer S5 only 48 hour with distilled water . After the first over heating due to the pump failure and switched off, I also got this "disease" . See the photos from opentoe https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=841344.msg10386451#msg10386451Treatments with anti-freeze and everything is fine.

The best mix is 10% antifreeze concentrate + 90% distilled water.

Wrong, every NEPTUNE cube uses around 380 watt- 420 watt
Use EVGA G2 1300W -3 cubes or Corsair RM 850 , RM1000 for 2 cubes.

It seems deliberate as if to dissuade.
And no, simply flashing the card wouldn't give me the fix I need. It would be in the .1.0 network after flashing the card unless you have an idea how to reset the 192.168.1.99 to another subnet on the card before it goes in the machine.
So, no. Holding the reset for 90 seconds brings it to that, 192.168.1.99, state.
The S5's wake up to DHCP so subnets are not a problem. But water cooled has lower temps than hard fan like the S5.
My C1 image with DHCP setting www.perearstike.ee/C1/C1first.zipYou can use it.
