1021  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: rumors of 3.5Th antminer S7 "lite" on: November 16, 2015, 10:03:15 AM

That's just because that poster does not understand what that means and the miner consumption vs power consumption at the wall, there is nothing shaddy here, with the drop in hash rate, there is also a drop in power consumption.

With a 90% eff psu that would come up to 1157watts at the wall~ down from 1240~ and the hashrate goes down at the same ratio.

In fairness the efficiency of the B6 appears to have been lowered by 10% (Power Efficiency: 0.25 J/GH + 10% (at the wall, etc...)  And chip count was reduced to 135 vs 165 for earlier batches. Speculation is that this is to decrease the string size in order to increase chip voltage, due to some issues that seem to have come up when PSU's put out slightly lower than 12V. There were clearly some QC issues in earlier batches, hence the two different hashrates in different batches, though my 2x B1 S7's are hashing away at 100%, and even OC'd a bit to 5TH/s without a hiccup.

3x 54 =162 chip not 165
I think that the new 4,05 TH/s S7 can be better as old 4,86 TH/s

Are you ready to ship only blades and controllers from 3 or 4 x  S3++ ?

I am still interested in three or four S3++ parts shipped to estonia.

S7 power 4.86 th / s = $ 1,658?
s7 power 4,05 th / s = $ 1,518?

We talk less chip, less power, less costs

S7 4.05 TH / s = $1,340 just now.  Considerably less $/THs than B5 now.  That's what happens when you keep your eyes open and your mouth shut.

And yet another prophetic poster shoves their tiny foot in their big mouth.

Their prices are tied to BTC/USD based on their choice of Chinese exchanges.  Use your brain and post an average rate if you want to appear as if you know what you're talking about.

1028  Other / Meta / Re: Wow, you can buy positive trust for 0.0301btc on: November 14, 2015, 11:27:35 PM

Agreed, but this situation is the inverse of that: you don't need to give positive trust just because you traded.
As DiamondCardz says, someone pays you $10 for a book. Why does that make them trustworthy?

And, specifically to the point of this thread, why should that make you tell other people that they are trustworthy, especially when your viewpoint has been given extra weight by the system?

And what is this amount, what does the buyer trustworthy ?

My last sale was 0.1 BTC shipped .  No escrow.  Buyer trusted me, but I still do not trust him ?
This is nonsense.
1029  Other / Meta / Re: Wow, you can buy positive trust for 0.0301btc on: November 14, 2015, 09:56:21 PM
So , abuse  is normal, and give feedback from purchase 10 USD e-book is not ?
You dedicate your time, trolling, posts and signature to me. I asked you to stop, you didn't. I left you a neutral trust, you left me a neutral trust accusing me of all kinds of things including obscenities, which I took to mean you were at the least quick to fly off the handle. I believe people of such deposition are more likely to have problem transactions and so escalated my trust rating.

I even drafted a PM to send you in the morning a few days ago to work it out, to come online to find you'd proliferated more stuff about me. You made your own bed and only you can unmake it.

That implies that escrow.ms has specifically added BTSpagetti to his trust list, presumably realizing that this would give his left feedback added weight.
Its most likely innocent as the trust ratings were recent. Its possible that spaghetti doesn't even know he's in DT and so hasn't altered his 'transaction log-esque' ways. Has anyone actually PM'ed them?
[OT] for dogie
As always, you lie, how everything happened.

 And signature remains.
You put me negative comment (then delete it) and put new and longer comment and I do not intend to go into your hate level. I will not argue  more with  liar like you are.

[/OT]

1030  Other / Meta / Re: Wow, you can buy positive trust for 0.0301btc on: November 14, 2015, 06:41:36 PM
For reference his sole trustee is escrow.ms. Generally I don't think this is a good idea for small trades as it ends up with the SebJu or (half of the) CITM situation where people do business with them in order to get positive trust ratings.

I was the one who suggested the use of all my sales SebastianJu because his service was the cheapest. I have sales with SebastianJu escrow ower 50 BTC and before I bought with him escrow for 20 BTC.

But I wonder , that  the  abuser from forum trust system here - dogie-  takes the word.
He has left me already 2 times negative comment and I have not had any transactions with him.

So , abuse  is normal, and give feedback from purchase 10 USD e-book is not ?

Can I buy a book now? Should I beg seller not to leave feedback?

Hi Beffje,

Can you show us how you setup the tube - I am trying to reduce the sound from my S7s - the neighbors are complaining now :-(

Thanks
TMT

Use freq 575 and fan at 30%  It is 2,640 rpm  and the neighbors do not complain anymore

can you take a picture of controller board for me? maybe it can be different (my hash boards labeled 550 before but another sticker put on 575 after.

Not really. They are all in shelves and hashing. All miners are from Batch1 and 3 they had already worked for me with frequency 575 ,   However, they are all 4.86 THs miners from Bitmain.

But  controllers from batch1 and batch3 is almost the same.. labeled- Model S5/Bb V1.51 (batch1) or lastminers from batch3 labeled - Q.C. PASSED.

Six of these S7 controllers works for me with S5+ single cubes and one is a spare. I have 7x double S7 miners 9,7Th/s
1035  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Newbie help on: November 14, 2015, 02:02:37 AM
So i can an S3 for about 175 euro in canada or an S5 for 560 euro. Since i am starting would i be better off getting two s3's. What you guys think.

You can buy S5 from me cheaper. Shipping inside EU

It would be cool if BITMAIN introduces higher th/s miners, with 10-20th/s power.

Double-S7 is 9,7TH/s , Is it not enough cool?
1037  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: November 14, 2015, 01:34:40 AM
hi everyone,
finally my s7 4.66 came. i remove all and inspect everything. but chips has a bonding glue, i couldnt see any.
so there are 18series 3parallel chip on each hash board. 12/18=0,66V ok
i am working at 11,75V(0,65V each chip) 512Mhz %50fan speed > 4,1 Th at >1020W stable 60degreesC (room condition is 27dC)
but i upload new firmware, hashing stopped, beeper always beeps and 360W idle power, red led lit.
i solve beeper problem from config page, but still NO HASHING. then i checked hash boards my other S7 controller ALL FINE with stock firmware.
i do not recommend this new firmware because it has alotof buggy.(23-10-15) i think bitmain do that willful. we are test subjects.  Undecided
when i found a solution i share here.

did bitmain create any page in here for S7 problems like S4 support thread ? Roll Eyes
anyone has a packed old firmware image?
because everyone talk different threads in here and hard to find who is faced with same S7 problems.

I upgraded today 10 minutes ago 5 x S7 with 4.66 SD-S7-20151023-575M.tar.gz software and none of the miners' was "broken" or not hashing.
1038  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: November 13, 2015, 11:28:44 PM
There is nothing strange.
Powered S7 blades go warm and take power even when the  controller is not powered.
At least it happened with my all 3 not working blades.

When this happens with the warm Miner and some blades stay powered, and the controller with fans is not powered, then after a few hours something overheats .

1039  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Has anyone use Kryonaut Thermal Compound on their ASIC's? on: November 13, 2015, 06:15:25 PM
I've read some very good reviews on Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut thermal grease.  I have some on order to try on my used Antminer S5 that I recently purchased.  Curious if anyone had used it yet on their gear and what kind of results you saw on temperature?

There is no need to repair it, that does not need repaired.

1 x S5 = 0.00878 BTC per day (PPS and Antpool)
1040  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: November 13, 2015, 05:55:28 PM

Yes, Thanks for the information.  I am prepared to pay for shipping back to Bitmain; although, the time to get to Bitmain, inspected, repaired, and returned to me is the killer.  I can remain hopeful though!!! Grin

It is not so long. I sent my S7 blades  back on Monday with UPS and today I received a tracking number.

1x S7 = 0.037 BTC per day  (PPS and Antpool)
Apparently pays shipping more , If your mining loss.
