the components between the asics, look higher than the asics?

can the wb lay on the asics or will it lay on the other components?

thx!

I think R207 is higher, then asic chip.

I see. I bought those S5 cooling kits when I intended to keep my S5's. Later decided it was a good time to sell them right before the release of the S7. So now I have $1000 worth of useless water cooling LOL...

The length of S7 is 301 mm

The length of S5+ is only 275 mm

....(Many bought miners Zues miners at that thinking they would be profitable.. or even paid crazy price for titans). Be interesting to see if it gets the great pump or if investors hold back knowing they will lose half there investment with one dump.. Risky for sure..

It's hard for me to tell by holding a S5 water block up to the screen but it looks to me that if you were to take a heat sink off a top chip and a bottom chip, the water block would just cover both chips. Would you mind having another look for me?

Any help in advance is greatly appreciated. Also, how hard was it to remove that heat sink?

Bottom side is no chip under the radiator. You can not take them away.  They must remain so.

I did not  remove the radiator. This was already   so , when I opened miner.  The blade   go back to China. Soon.

It is spring here and Australia and the temperature gets over 45c here in summer so I will be looking at adapting my S7's to the Syscooling S5 cooling kit

I checked here the fastest miners and there are many choices
Achilles Labs Model AM-6000 has 6000 GH/s and consumes around 3800 W

To answer your question; Yes its universal to most miners. Standard units all are powered with PCI-e connectors. I'm not sure how many that PSU has, it says 6 pairs of 6. That sound like 12 but i don't see that many on the picture.

For the same price i'd get a EVGA 1300w but thats just me, depending on your situation picking up that power supply could be good. I just don't know its life time, warranty, power ripple and fluctuation etc. Maybe they're noisy, maybe not.

Couple better image
S5+ single with S5 controller

PSU warranty is one year from shipping. 12 x PCI-E
1352  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Hosting around 100 TH/s in China or Iceland. Inputs needed on: August 31, 2015, 09:21:37 PM
Hello. I've been through many threads pointing potential mining opportunities at either China or Iceland. I need inputs and suggestions for both the locations. My hardware consists of 51.4 TH/s  of Antminer S4+ and around 50 Th/s of Antminer S5.

1. Can someone tell me if people from other countries can setup mining facility in these locations?
2. As per your knowledge, Which part of China has the lowest electricity? (Sichuan. May be!)
3. What is the average price for Space in Sq.Mt or Sq.Ft in these locations?

Any other key points would be greatly appreciated. Smiley

100TH/s mining farm is pointless today.
It is so small.... for profit and to big, for hobby.

I have today, at the moment 46-47TH/s at my home (10Th/s in antpool , 37TH/s in nicehash.)
and 135 TH/s in hashnest. (117x S5)
Total 180Th/s , and it's still a pretty useless.

In my home has been the most 70TH/s miners, but I sell them all the time. Left 5x SP20 and many S5 + 2,8x Antminer S5+

When I buy a bunch of S7 , then I can easily go back to 70TH/s .

I have only 3 x50A 220V . Thus, the more economical miner is, then better for my home.

However, 10x S7 is almost 50 TH/s , so I can put in my home 100Th/s. But what is the point of this ? 250 day ROI ?

100Th/s incomes are today so low, even with free electricity. And I do not have free electricity.

I would have considered your option but I am looking to setup something of my own. And I am sure the customs duty will tear me apart if I ship out to your location. Sorry about that.

Do you really think that in China and Iceland are not customs duty ?

-droid is ok.

You gave him a coupon to use toward the S7.  --droid can give that coupon to Bitmain and get the $100 off or sell it on Ebay and get $50 which will go toward the s7.  I don't see anything wrong with it.

Why did you donate coupon in the first place?   You are encouraging your competitors to buy a miner to compete against you?

This is a very silly logic.
But, apparently, very Americanized.
Receive gifts from stupid and make it into cash.

I've donated a lot of coupons here, instead  sell them.
But S7 coupons are rare, and at last a long time.

what Tupsu is offering is better than the original!
...

Depends on the room temperature. If it is very hot , the original S5 is may be better.
But I do not have with them any temperature problems, even if they were very dusty.
They were in the winter  onto the floor on top of the mud carpet, and gave a warm.
I would not put  the original S5 onto the carpet.
1357  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] [EU] Looking to grab a few S5 on: August 30, 2015, 07:43:45 PM

How many are "some" ? - I would like "Original" S5's not modded ones.

I do not have any of S5 with original S5 fan.

All they have 2 x S3 fan, which is a little quieter.

If S3 housing is for You "modded",  it is also difficult to help.  S3 bottom  were screwed  with four screws and it can be put on each S5 miners.
The S3 sides and the top part is made of a single U-shaped piece of metal sheet.

If you find that S5 plastic sides are  better ...

Obviously, I have  a few S5 original plastik sides , and I can unscrewed the bottom.
But I do not have left  any fans from  S5.
These miners I can offer a total of 5 pc

** I know you will mention claiming the VAT back as we have had this conversation before, but according to my accountant and further consultation with HMRC, because the item that you are selling (BTC) does not atrract VAT, you cannot claim the VAT back for the process of making them.  You can claim the VAT back on buying the machines as you charge it when you sell them.

Bitcoin miners are  (home) heaters,  the hiting  by-product  are  related bonus points - also known as  BTC. The manufacturers sells for them (or for many)  new and more powerful heaters aka bitcoin miners.
So explain mining protsess  to your tax official.
