1101  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: October 31, 2015, 01:40:26 AM

Thanks for sharing was a interesting read.  I'm surprised in Q1 only 500 SP50 is assumed.  Does not sound like a ton of miners but I guess they are massive in hashrate.

Will be interesting to see how correct they are on the number SP50's during Q1. I really want to see their having expectations.  That is the other numbers I want to see what the big companies assume.

500 x SP50 = 11 320 x S7 (maximum)

My already shipped 23  x S7 are today more than 1 x Sp50   Grin
Three months earlier than Q1

So use space #1-4 for 4 boards, or leave a blank one in between.

Yes, board rev numbers are different, old one S7_SPOWER HashBoard_54_V1.3, and the new one S7_SPOWER HashBoard 54 V1.6

Edit: here is the pic of two boards, they are physically different, new one protrude at least 2" higher from the housing , old one is almost flushed.

Boards are the same size , housing profile is difrent.

When I connect my early B1 S7 hash board (with different housing than the later S7s) to B3 controller, the controller won't recognize the hash board and shows ------- ------- ------. But the hash board runs by itself with it's own controller. Any suggestions?

Yes. position the cables.

they came and they are great.  i will write a trust later today.

here is a shot of my controller loaded for 6 boards.  so:

 1)full
2) full
 3) full
4)full
5) blank
6)full
7) blank
8 )full
9) blank

2 custom long with 4 stock short  this allows for 1 cat 5 not 2 and 1 unused controller

I know some of you may say shut up....

......

*Any physical modification may voids the warranty.  (If you are going to break the warranty seal, please ask permission from info@bitmaintech.com before doing so to avoid the loss of warranty coverage.

*this is not an endorsement to authorize overclocking or underclocking or modified use of S7 to retain warranty.  Any conditions that are listed in the letter included in your package remain in full force...

Does the warranty remains If you use one controller multi-S7 unit with long data cables from S5+?

edit: Am I the only person that has noticed this?
This dude's living depends on mining and there is only one hardware provider on the market so he is eager to stick his tongue in BMT's ass as deep as he could as long as they are ready to sell him equipment.
Put him on ignore, anyway there is no useful posts from him.

I do not agree with you.

I also believe that,

Bitmain made this program for S5.

called  FoundYourMiner.exe   The red LED and beep.

Use and Enjoy

www.perearstike.ee/S5/Findyourminer.rar

Will it work for any model?  I have s4+ and s5+

You will see them in table with ip and  MAC adress. But if you hit the Beep, you see the message

Code:
Only support Antminer S5 yet.
Please waiting for new vesion!

Take a poll

How many pages would this thread really be if all posts were on topic?

Im guilty too.  Cheesy

It should start with the corrections  of the thread title .

ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH

S5 is really not stable and easily damaged.
8 pcs of mmy S5 only 4.5 pcs alive now.

I wrote from S5+ , not S5

9 blade, 7,7TH/s Three separate housing with one controller.

My S5 are all repaired with warranty time.
ANTMINER S5 BATCH 1 × 12
ANTMINER S5 BATCH 4 × 3
ANTMINER S5 BATCH 5 × 20

Total exchanged with warranty 7x S5 different parts.
2 not working  hashing boards  , 1 x temp 0  working board
some controller with not working leds...

From 35 x  S5 miner is not bad result

Scammed no.
Screwed  yes.

Scammed  would mean they never sent a thing or none of it worked.

Some worked  some did not.  And we all know that they do not have good rma.  So I would say your were shortchanged or overcharged but not scammed.

I am disappointed with my batch 2 delivery of the s-7  and I feel I along with quite a few others have been overcharged or shortchanged.  About 1 btc.  Most likely it is lost.  My best hope is Avalon has a decent model 6.  Or hell coins go to 1000 and I sell off some.

I still feel scammed,  because last miner  "old first model" with galvanized metal housing  arrived DOA , with broken fan and damaged boards.

They refused to send me a UPS shipping label so I paid total 300 euro for shipping blades back (total 3 times)
They refused to give me S7 coupons to compensate for the cost of shipping.

I like your optimism in ordering ~10 S7 or ~20K worth in one "gulp".
Apart from it being a business, i don't see the need.
I can always buy the coin and for fun 1,2 machines are just fine.

S7 gets better every time and with every shipping.

My first two were underperformed, with high HV rate. (Pictures sent for warranty)
Two weeks after this  two , I had a more better 2 x S7 with 600 stickers.

After that 8 x S7 and all are 4,8TH/s or better. No stickers.
11 are already on the way.
8 not shipped yet.
So I am optimistic,  but still not satisfied with S5+ boards  build quality. Only one out of three is not needed for repairs.
I still think that with S5+ I got scammed with Bitmain China poor Guarantee service.

I just received a shipping notice from UPS for delivery tomorrow for an order from 10/18; although, it is still showing Unshipped in Bitmain.    Cheesy  I still have more orders on 10/24 and 10/25.

I worry about pumping 800 Watts through a PSU that's rated 850 Watts.

In theory, you should have no issues with pumping 800W sustained out of an 850W power supply. 50W is a decent margin.

In practice, Corsair RM 850 for example.

If its like the S3, you can open it without them knowing. There are no tamper evident screws.

Were you able to get replacement board under warranty?

Yes. The shipped me a lot of times a "god replacement board" for my S5+ miners.

From last four shipped S5+ blades  one is with temp sensor faulti + 20 degrees Celsius  higher, than the other blades , and one blade worked less than 48 hours for me.

Sending this two blades  back to China again tomorrow.
But it gets better all the time. For my 27 x S5+  blades is one with faulti temp sensor and only one not working at all.

.......... I noticed that the early B1 boards are somewhat shorter than the later batches (see bottom pic, 1st one is misaligned heatsinks, 2nd one B3 S7 ). ............

Radiators are tinned on the reverse side of board.
This is a consequence of overheating. (first picture)

I had exactly the same S5 +
