1001  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL 60Ghs problems on: November 20, 2015, 08:51:20 AM
You will get approximately a kilo of aluminum from this miner + 2x 12cm FAN.

This is the only valuable thing from this miner.

I've been already 10 pieces scrapped and as many are still left.

Certainly this is not a miner, which would require the opening of a second thread.

1002  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ETA on Antminers from Bitmain. on: November 20, 2015, 08:34:25 AM
Batch 8 scheduled shipping date is in Dec. 18~Dec. 28. If shipping out 5 days later than the scheduled one, it won't be considered as delay.

Next, depending on what courier company you choose by buying, cheapest or fastest..
1003  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin Mining Farm on: November 20, 2015, 12:00:08 AM
Hello,

............
5. What proportion of the mined coins should be immediately converted into fiat money ? And where do I convert those insane amount of coins?
...........

Today is from 1000 x Antminer S7 mining  result only 35-36 BTC per day. Next week, still less . You can not start before January.

Is it really for you insane amount of coins ?
1004  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What are the most popular miners? on: November 19, 2015, 07:43:39 PM
What are the most popular miners actually used and the estimated share of bitcoin users using them?
It this info isn't readily available, I would be grateful for pointers on how to estimate or find this.

Thanks

The most popular miners are those which are most produced. Period.

1008  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BITMAIN Order Cancelation on: November 19, 2015, 03:54:13 PM
I said i dont need to send btc first for my order but we can talk to bitmain support and after they confirm to both of us that they changed the shipping address to your place you send me the bitcoins. Or we can use escrow but this guy asked me to send all my miners in advance to him then wait for him to sell them and after he sell them he is supposed to send me 90% of the price he selled them to. So i have to wait an undetermined time for him to sell at a price only he knows from what he will supposedly give me 90%. I politely turned him off.

Batch5 was much more expensive  0.37 USD for GHs without shipping, than Batch7 or 8
Nobody wants to pay more than 1BTC GHs which currently offers Bitmain with batch 8.   0.326 USD for GHs without shipping

Thus, you will be a loss anyway.
I think that this 10%  was a good offer . Personally, I would do it may be for 30% , if I had to pay for them immediately.

This Bitcoinelectronics.net sales thread  is certainly scam, what the seller desperately tried to multiple with more threads.

From the first three pages

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1249415.0

all Bitcoinelectronics.net Duplicate post moved to  Trashcan. But these threads  were much more which reached to Trashcan.

1011  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: November 18, 2015, 03:29:58 PM

At almost 1300 watts I think I'm done chasing the mining train. I may have mentioned it before, but most home outlets let you pull about 1200-1300 watts for the entire room (circuit). That means you're asking your ancient home wiring to pull 100% for 24/7 mining. Fires are a real possibility once you get in this range. Imagine all the 17 yr old kids that have a few BTC, order a S7, and plug it into their mom's basement unknowingly overloading the circuit like a Christmas tree with too many lights. Spark, spark, and two huge fans to kick the flame up. Now you're looking at a home burning down and possible lawsuits, though with BM being in China a successful suit is unlikely.

Do not worry. Europe does not have this problem.

Difficult to believe that we have yet another variant of the S7. Not sure that I can make much more sense of this one the the previous batches.
Back to the tight spec on the PSU and they have upped the default frequency. I can only think that they have done a rev on the BM1385 or are selecting?

I also can't make the numbers add up.

4860GH/s / 600MHz = 8.1 * 650MHz = 5265GH/s not 5060GH/s

Rich

Number 10 on the list of Specifications

Default Frequency = 625 Mhz

It was 650 a few hours ago. Quickly corrected  error.
1017  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: November 17, 2015, 06:39:49 AM

If you read some history the RM series PSU's were faulty. Or at least a huge batch of them. This is why Corsair replaced all my RM1000's with HX1000's for free. If I can remember you needed to look/view the PSU serial number to make sure it wasn't a "defective" model. At least a place to start. This is why in the end I'm using Seasonic PSU's. Still using the HXi's, which are made by Seasonic. Good luck.

Today, I  use this power supply unit with 3 x S5 water cooled blades already 2 weeks. 850-880W
Everything is running normally.
1018  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BITMAIN Order Cancelation on: November 17, 2015, 06:12:01 AM
I did want it but now i cant afford to pay the vat so what will happen ? If i refuse them they will go back and then what. Be on loss with what i paid on them ?

You'll pay the postage 2 times and get back from Bitmain  the rest of the BTC.  Return shipping can be several times more expensive than sending to you!

This is the reason why I did not put in the  one order ever so much miners. Only 2-5 at a time .

Then, all orders will be declared separately. Even if they come in one day.

In My country is the sales tax  only 20%

I did want it but now i cant afford to pay the vat so what will happen ? If i refuse them they will go back and then what. Be on loss with what i paid on them ?

You can pay for the 25 miners to Bitmain but can not pay almost  8000 euro VAT ?  Interesting.
1019  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Spondoolies SP10 - BitcoinWare.net - Need some info. on: November 16, 2015, 05:43:04 PM
.........
I live in Canada, the electricity cost are ;

5,68 CAD ( 4,26 USD - 3,97 EURO )  for the first 30 KW of the day then 8.60 CAD ( 6,46 USD - 6,02 EUR ) per KW

My questions are the following ;

1- Do you recommend the SP10 ? ( Pros-Cons )
2- Have you already bought on the website www.bitcoinware.net ? Do you recommend it ?
3- Will a SP10 and my desktop computer will be enough to warm a room in my house instead of my usual electricity heater ? ( We have some days at -30, -40 Celcius in january-February )

I'll probably have other questions while we go through the conversation.

Thank you Smiley

1. No.
2. No.
3. probably not
4. Buy for yourself and your family a good earplugs, I sold imy new SP10 two weeks after purchase, because the dog was not willing wear earplugs.
5. Your electricity prices are too high.
6. The next time you ask first  and then buy
1020  Other / Meta / Re: Every thread now has more anti-BTC shill accounts than real forum users on: November 16, 2015, 12:29:25 PM
I wouldn't worry too much about such newbies. If you value the readers of bitcointalk as highly as yourself you will find that writing "bitcoin is...doomed" or any such statements will either be ignored or be found as annoying as you find em. I haven't encountered enough of them yet to find them annoying.

Having said that -If you hate bitcoin with a passion please check out this site. it collects all public statements regarding the immanent death of BTC since 2011!  Tongue Grin

https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoinobituaries/

Truly annoying is read
Do not mine, buy bitcoins directly instead.

I would like to ask from them, how much BTC you have already purchased ? But I do not ask.

All my BTC is from mining and all  mined BTC is in new miners. These are  a lot .
