1041  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: November 13, 2015, 05:33:59 PM

I was told my Bitmain to troubleshoot the issue on my 2 bad miners not hashing.  I tried changing fan settings and putting new fans on with no change.  One step was to take a good controller card from another miner and put it onto the bad miner to see if it is the controller card that is bad.  It showed the same results on the bad miner as the old controller did.   BUT when I returned the good controller, it too was now showing 48 ASICS and is now not hashing.  I now have 3 bad miners.  I have sent pics and all of this information back to Bitmain. I have asked to have 3 new machines sent to me.  I am wondering what they will determine.

Read the warranty policy.

4. Customer must return the defective parts at own expense after opening a support ticket and troubleshooting with Bitmain's instructions.

You have a broken miner.

Is it just me, or does it seems like the S7's are one of the most problematic Bitmain products ever ?

Sad

It only seems to you.

3 broken blades from 99 is not to much.

This situation arose for me from one PSU and two times.

I have using this setup.
1 x Corsair RM 850 with controller and 1 board
Corsair RM1000 with another 2 boards.

Corsair RM850 turned itself out and another 2 boards are  powered for some hours.

If I restarted miner from PSU switches, came from miner hot air and the smell of burnt.

I put in there the other miner, with the same PSU-s, and after day was the same with 1 board with another miner.

Always the blade(s), which was powered with RM1000 and after that, when RM850 Switch off for some mysterious reason.

This RM850 works for me today with 3x Antminer S5 blades water cooled , so
perhaps it is not the fault of the PSU He bears the load about 850-885 W

However, the conclusion is, use only 1 PSU per miner.

Why is it only showing 48 ASICS per board instead of 54? Did you use the wrong firmware by chance?

This is S7 software but with broken boards and  temp 0 yssue He sees only  48 chips

I normally leave mine blank (100% and Auto).  I did try setting the fans to 60%, 50%, 40% with no change-----No Hashing.  I also tried hard/soft reboots with no change----No Hashing.  I do have them separated from the group so that I can work with them.

You have a broken miner.

You need to contact with info@bitmaintech.com

I had three blades with the same issue  from 2 different miners, which showed only 48 chips and temp 0 and they are now back in China.

Did you try the router trick? Besides, if you have some bridge, like airport express, you need to replug it as well.
This worked for me in an identical situation.

identical situation - only 48 chip ant temp 0 ?
1044  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: what will happen in 37 weeks when bitcoin halves again on: November 13, 2015, 12:31:52 PM

According to the bitcoin clock bitcoin will drop to 12.5 btc per block in late July of 2016.
How will miners react to this?
What will it take to keep miners mining?
What if miners in large numbers decide not to mine?

All of my S7 works as usual. At least 8 hours a day and on weekends , because I have a great price  for Night electricity.
More probably 24/7 mining continues , which means  € 3,500 on electricity bills per month.

1046  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: November 13, 2015, 10:38:44 AM
I suppose only time will tell,

But do I hold out and wait for new Spondoolies-Tech kit that may not materialise, continue buying used kit, or buy new Bitmain kit but the Bitmain kit looks a pain in the ass to essentially rack mount and isolate the hot and cold sides. The Spondoolies kit is easy as you can just slam it in the racks.

I really do hope that Spondoolies wake up to and see there is a large amount of people practically begging for their kit for all the right reasons, its shit hot stuff.

Regs

Why do  I begging him ? They have already lost  money from me. I bought 33 x S7 and now is the end of my 3 x 50A amps.

But they would have received this money from me, if they had a product  what to sell.  But they have not.
And now they are playing with millions. They do not care about my 50 000USD  pocket money .

Anyone excited about the Spondoolies s50?

I already have one 110 Th/s miner. But its name is 23 x S7 not Spondoo- Lies Tech.
1048  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer s7 stop hashing Help please - BITMAIN on: November 12, 2015, 10:06:45 PM
EVEN BITMAIN TECH DOESN'T RESPONSE

Send a letter  to info@bitmaintech.com

I sent a few days ago 3 x S7 blades to repair, but my blades all show  temp 0

I have Ubuntu and have literally no idea how to use it.
If I had windows I would have been using them.

Surely, Ubuntu  is better. However, this topic  here is SCAM

1055  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antminer s5 - Slightly used! on: November 12, 2015, 07:08:50 AM
Accepting PayPal or BTC for this.
It's been used for 1-2 hours max.
Price I'm taking for this is $300.
Hmu
NOTE: Only shipping to USA, UK & AUS

I am 100% sure that the seller does not have any bitcoin miner.
He does not even know how to mine BTC.

These were received as a gift so I have no use at all for them.
I also have no idea how to mine BTC so that's why I'm selling these.
Price: $500 each.
Payment Methods: PayPal, BTC or AGC.

1056  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Connecting Three AntMiner S7's to one Controller on: November 11, 2015, 09:06:25 PM
As a side note, everyone is recommending this to save power by limiting controllers.  However, you still need to power the fans for each miner (which draw from the controller board and contribute to its power consumption), and each fan draws ~24W.  BBB boards only consume 2-3W max, so the amount of power savings is really negligible.

I use this possibility for a simpler overview.
If I have purchased total of 32 antminer S7, then it only makes 16 controllers.

Now I have a double S7 only 7 pieces , because I put together only the best miners with very low HV error rate.
Five of them are at my house
After three hours in antpool
9,711.79
9,673.46
9,729.75
9,699.34
9,717.76

ANTMINER S7 BATCH 6 - Sold Out
1058  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: November 10, 2015, 11:34:33 PM
Ahh, poor Bitmain.  They fix their B1-5 to USD and the price skyrockets.  They fix their B6 to BTC and the price drops out.  It's a good time to be a buyer folks.

My last two S7
from  BATCH 5 × 2 = 3696.24 USD  with shipping

from  BATCH 6 × 2 = 2751.53 USD  with shipping

difference in price 944,71 USD        472 USD per miner
difference in hashrate   1620 GH/s  810 GH/s per miner

The higher  the  BTC price is , the higher is  the amount of USD on  invoice. Then more I have to pay 20% VAT.

So I prefer to buy  from USD , if the  BTC  price is low and sell BTC, if the price is high.
1059  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer s7 stop hashing Help please - BITMAIN on: November 10, 2015, 06:05:48 PM

I have just tried with another controller, but it's not turning on, I have tried connected several hashing board to different working s7 controller but it's not turning on nor hashing, even when I change the position of the plug or put the 18 pin plug to another empty pin while it's  same working machines board but the hashing board doesn't start, any help please

Do not you have a screwdriver ?
you can take the S7 controller from working miner and replace it iwith  the non-working miner controller.

So you can find out, it  is the  controller fault or not . As I understand, you already did it.

If with the other controller miner does not go to work, it is hasboard(s) fault.

Use 50% or 40%  3,240 rpm
Everyone's RPMs seem to vary quite a bit. My 40% is significantly slower than that.

Some miners to compare your "Bitmain standard miner".
