I see 8.9BTC not 6.6BTC.

you are mistaking my post on bitmaintech's hashnet division.

they are offering 10th for 6.66btc

they opened the cloud contract and the beast miner on the same day.

I purchased the cloud contract as the beast will not work for me until winter power rates start in OCT

It is not cloud mining contract.
This is a BTC loan with very small percentage .

It has got the 18 pin blade connector so you will need later hash boards (V1.91) with the 18 as opposed to 16 pin connector. I do not know what the additional 2 pins do, or if they are anything to do with the additional button on the controller board, or if a 16 pin blade can be used with a 18 pin controller? Perhaps someone does???

Rich

You can use new S5 Hash PCB  ( 18 pin connector)   with S5 Control PCB  (16 pin connectors) Need only a 16 pin cable.
Picture of my water cooling S5 project    3 x old blade + 1x new 18 pin blade.

scammer. beware

This is not a scam. You can buy a PACMiC on hashnest right now! Actually there is already 3000 of them sold.

Believe it or not but Hashnest PACMiC is always "soft scam"   compared with  purchase S5 hashpower directly from Hashnest.

Also, your HW error rate looks really high relative to what I see on my S5's, is this a byproduct of the quad blade  - perhaps the extended cable lengths?  I2C/SPI can be pretty sensitive to cable length...

With Original S5 fans I had a better result.

About the same error rate per hour, actually. STILL way high on the error rate. I'm starting to think MarkAz has a point on the long cable lengths.

I'm not ready to believe it.
My first  water cooled S5 which is in the housing of C1 .  C1 pump and the radiator with 3x better fans.
One long (15cm) and one standard cable. 16 pin version.
10 day error rate 38

this is the prodact

sp 20 10 units 300 usd each not include shipping cost

sp30 now offered to somebody if he want take can talk abaut them again

we use escrow the shipping will pay before

    good Old shipping cost scam.

You'll pay for shipping without escrow and for miners with escrow.

After that, you will not see the money ever again , what you payd for shipping.

Hey Tupsu, any particular reason you did the 4 blade setup?  I have the water cooling kit, but haven't installed it yet, and was wondering whether I would do that or not, wasn't sure if it was worth the hassle on the connectors.

Also, your HW error rate looks really high relative to what I see on my S5's, is this a byproduct of the quad blade  - perhaps the extended cable lengths?  I2C/SPI can be pretty sensitive to cable length...

The reason was that I sent one Controller to bitmaintech warranty.

With Original S5 fans I had a better result.

may all be a moot point don't know what will be asking price and shipping price of the big one.

You can now calculate.  Shipping weight 13 kg.

12,6 kg is  164.66 USD to estonia. (DHL)
1455  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: August 12, 2015, 09:00:24 PM

One cautionary note: I'd swear that Bitmain has disabled support for more than two blades on the more recent S5 firmware. You'll also need to work out the issues associated with the fact that there are THREE hashing boards within each "s5 like" section of the S5+ miner. I have no idea what the S5+ firmware will do if it doesn't come up with all 9 hashing blades, or if some of them are S5 and not S5+ blades. Things could get ugly right quick since the number of chips per hashing board, and string topology is different between the S5 and S5+. While it would be nice to intermix stuff, it might well not be possible at this time (or ever).

Works for me with latest S5 firmware.

You can track his profile on Amazon, he isn't selling them at those prices.  In fact someone should buy one from him, file an A-Z Claim and return it so he gets suspended.  Ethical?  God, no.  Does he deserve it?  Hell yes.

If a dog has nothing to do, then he licks her own eggs...

Nice dogi.

I believe your farm is using 220v AC. So please try our APW3 power supply. If you want to build
large hash power, please talk to us in advance, and we can ship the PSU by sea, which will be very very cheap right now. It has 1600w capacity and it is very good for the S5+ deploy.

The biggest  APW3-12-1600-B2 manufacturing mistake is too short PCI-E cables.

The problem is, even the two side by side placed S5 Miner, not to mention S5  +

1459  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How to identify Antminer S5? on: August 11, 2015, 02:44:24 PM
DHCP is ok for floating devices, or monile/portable - but having DOES management on a larger LAN for a while, it's a NIGHTMARE when you're trying to figure out what the address for a device that FAILED is. MAC addresses are noticeably longer than IP addresses, it's a ton easier to make a mistake reading them - even if you put a note on each machine with the MAC address.

Also, MAC addresses are sorta random (yes, I know about the "manufacturer number" part) while you can assign an IP address yourself in a logical way, like "by rack/shelf/location on shelf" which makes it TRIVIAL to figure out what the address of a failed unit is even if you didn't remember to put a note on it.

Unless you're shifting stuff around a LOT, thre's no REASON to "change an IP" once you've set it. You set it once, it's THERE.

DHCP on a LAN full of non-shifting devices is for the birds.

Why do you have to worry about "various types of interface" when you set a static IP? That seems to be a totally strawman comment.

It seems like you move hardware around a TON more than any network I've ever dealt with, which would make your environment completely different than what I've worked with. My experience is that DHCP makes things a royal PAIN to deal with, STATIC makes them a ton easier.

I use MAC Adress as worker name.
If you  want to sell miner, you have  anyway switch to DHCP before shipping.
1460  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain S5 Replacement Fan on: August 11, 2015, 02:30:17 PM
But as soon as I disconnect the stock fan it starts beeping. What can I do?
Try to update a firmware. Here at my work an S5 was running with no fans connected to the I/O board at all (2 fans were connected over MOLEX to 3pin adapters directly to PSU).

Last software does not have this capability.

Fan1 must be connected.
