Any ideas how to safely remove the heat sinks from chips?

No. I think that this is impossible.

how can we make sure that "internet is working well"?
"oh, no, your miner boards got burned....you did not make sure that internet worked well".
I understand that he means well, but this is just impractical, seriously.

If not working well , you see this

1124  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How to Reduce Heat and Noise? on: October 25, 2015, 04:04:44 PM
1. You can build some noise barrier.

2. Downclock S7 to freg 550  , put fan  to 37% to get 3000 rpm.
S5 fan to 30% to get 2700 rpm

or
3.

S7 has a lower operating temp than s5 , s4 and sp20's, temp at site its around 30c getting A/C to go 22-25c then we can think of getting s7, about contacting sptech they are going for much bigger clients, already try to reach them

Who told you this nonsense?

S7 Specifications:
8. Operating Temperature: 0 °C to 40 °C

S5 Specifications:
Operating Conditions: 0 °C to 35 °C

SP20
Ambient Operating Temperature
 0 °C to 35 °C

S4 Specifications
* Temperature: 40-50 degree Celsius tested in the mining farm

Batch 3 is back up.

Thanks. After your posts I bought today  2x S7 for 11.838 BTC + shipping

At the moment,  S7 is once again sold out.

1129  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] 100 Terahash farm on: October 24, 2015, 01:19:58 PM
for 100TH and such budget i'm sure that Spoondolies would give you a reply, ask for SP50 Wink

I do not think that Spondo-LIES-TECH   gives the answer, if you ask for SP50 . This is a small amount of many, not big budget.
100 TH/s is only 21 x Antminer S7
130 BTC + shipping

 I bought today 2x S7 for 11.838 BTC + shipping

Why  you do not buy the S7 ?

You can put three two  pieces together and get 9,7Ths compact miner. Do not need a lot of space, only a lot of airflow.

1131  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: S7 died, keeps hashing with fans on low, S5 burnup all over again? on: October 22, 2015, 07:13:25 PM
Awesome that's good to know and does the controller attachment keep all the information or would a replacement need a micro sd with an image on it to run properly?

The OS and all config is on the SD card so you'd need to either keep the original one shipped with the miner and put it in the new BBB or get a new one and flash it with the S7 firmware image.

S5/S5+ S7 they all  do not have SD card.

S5+/S7  controller.

Hi,

I'm looking for a working controller board of S5 miner (that is, only the controller board, not the whole miner). Is there anybody with broken S5 miner, but with fully working controller board? If yes, please contact me, I would buy one (only the controller board). Or is there any other option to get a controller board of S5 miner (btw: I don't want to mess with bitmaintech for this, it would take too long to get it from them I guess). Thanks!

BeagleBone board only

What's the absolute max you'd pay for an SP20 nowadays?

I sold a few days ago, my last SP20 for 1.65BTC+ shipping costs to Portugal.
1134  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Is the KNC controller the same for Neptune and Titan? on: October 21, 2015, 07:07:30 PM

The Titan isn't a Pi 2. Pi 2 didn't exist when Titan came out.

You say, that Pi 2 can not be used together with Titan?
1135  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Is the KNC controller the same for Neptune and Titan? on: October 21, 2015, 03:32:53 PM
......if i buy a Neptuner controller and then i plug in a titan cube it will run well. Somewho know if it can work?

Thanks!

Neptune use BBB and Titan Rasperry Pi(2)

Do you need for this three  threads or you just spamming with your signature ?

What PSU are you running with? S7 needs a solid 12V, ideally 12.2V when under full load. If you have a multimeter check the voltage actually getting to the PCIE sockets.

Rich
I'm running a LEPA 1600W unit. Can't check the voltage right now but I'll check to see in the next day or so if it's getting at least a solid 12V.

Just checked it after four hours of running, turns out is started at about 4.3 TH/s, and ended up at around 1.3 TH/s before I rebooted it. I'm really going to have to figure this out, seems like a serious issue.

1600W LEPA is a piece of shit. (I have send it back to warranty 4 pieces of 6).

Use proper single rail PSU, not modular LEPA
1138  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Looking for Antminer Cables Power supply cables on: October 18, 2015, 02:10:39 PM
Since I do not know which cables are best for antminers. Could some one point me in the direction of purchasing some power cables on amazon or point me in a direction where I can make my own.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Gecox22

Are you really did this thread for yor  signature thing?

I read some of your previous posts, and you will not look so stupid

I bet I could most likely get it working again. Fixed a couple of s3's  and some s'1 that where dead and wouldn't even communicate  and a s5 for another guy. Never worked on a SP30  but electronics are all the same LOL.

1139  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB][CA/QC]S3 Controller+Blades, S5 blades, working or not + 18pins long cables on: October 17, 2015, 10:46:26 PM

No need for S3 controller without the blades.

Either for working S5 blade version, but need to come with its one connector to the controller. Since i have one spare controller for both.

Yes, if people prefer shipping all the way back to China, they are welcome to. I'm in Canada so this is a better deal for anyone in NA.

Yes that is why i'm picking up dead blades.

Only interested in a couples of S16 long and only as part of a deal. The previous offer from you that ended up 10$ per cable is a no go.

So, You dream is, that someone sell to you full working S3 for 0.2 BTC ( only )
Another dream , that someone sell to you not working S5 blades for 10 USD, instead shipped them to user sidehack  and get free  back miner with hashrate  approximately one eighth of an S5, with efficiency approximately 0.28W/GH. By paying only postage fee.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1203190.0

I sell my self-soldered 2x S5 18 pin long cables for 0.1 BTC and free shipping inside EU. Sold.
For 2 cables it  is 64 soldering points,  and making will take longer than an hour. So I think it was a fair price.

I  offer you 3 x 16 pin long cables with free shipping to Canada for  0.1 BTC
