In this article I explain WHY you should wait on buying it, and also, I did a TON of math to prove why you should wait. All of my work is here, and is accurate, feel free to double check yourself:
https://thebtcpool.com/bitmains-s5-in-revenue/

Next, write some BS article, whu you should wait on buying 7 x used Antminer S5 for 370 USD pic and post it on https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=75.0 .    Because there still bought them yet at that price.    Shocked

............................................................................

"ROI" formula     Wink

Some of you guys are funny with your talk of "roi." Here's how it's supposed to be done... you buy the newest miners you can, you run them for a few months making about 1/2 or so back on your money and you sell them used for just about the price you paid for them new (in the case of S5s even more money!) That's how you "roi." Rinse and repeat.

1406  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] S3/S3+ BROKEN controller + cables on: August 20, 2015, 08:46:41 PM
I have 2 x C1 blades. Without C1 cables.

But I have 2 x S3  cable ,  if you need it.

All together 0.2 BTC + 0.06 BTC shipping
......................................................................
If you really need more, I can  find two 2x C1 blades sets.
Total 4x C1 blades, 4 x S3 cables. Then the price is 0.4BTC shipped  Smiley

I'm interested but I haven't had any C1's.So is the board layout the same as S3? I mean can I use regular S1 or S3 heatsinks? And you have no dead controller or blades with connectors?

You can use S3 heatsinks. The blades have the same, with  some kind of S3 version, but data cable plugs are  soldered on the other side of the blade.
I have not dead, nor working S3  controller any more and I do not have a dead S3 blades.
There is one working blade with  one x and one what need resoldering 5 yellow  capacitors,   which is located  under the lower radiator.  Before it was a 100% working.

We can add  them either and you get all  6 blades (4 cables)  for  0.55 BTC  shipped.

Questions and Answers
Q: Do you need to use all 3 PCIe connectors?
A: I would stick with 3 per hashing board.  They make sure in email, and in a paper in box to tell you to use 3 PCIe per hashing board. You might get buy with it but it would void warranty.  I would say depends on gauge wire and quality of psu.  But to make life easy and in warranty stick with 3.

ALL the 3 PCIE connectors are needed to be connected to power supply on each hash board since it is based on serial power solution and there is no DC/DC inside the miner. Including the one PCIE connector on control board, there are 28 connectors in total.
Several PSU will be needed to support the miner, anyone spare PCIE connector from PSU will be connected to control board.
But be sure to power all the other PSU first and power on the last PSU which control board is connected in the end. this is very important!! Smiley

I doubt it will be quite that low, with the efficiency improvement.

And who the heck figures in GH any more anyway? 8-O

....  Also we don't know price of S7.

This is the easy part.. S7 price will be 0,0011-0,0013 BTC for 1 GH/s

Hmm what makes you assume that?

S5   1.3-1.5BTC
S5+  8-9BTC
S7   ?
1411  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS - 5x SP20 - Canada on: August 19, 2015, 08:25:42 PM

I've got a rare S1 upgraded S3, should I be asking extra for it as well?  Bitcoin miners aren't collectible for 99% of us, they either make us money or they don't, and that is what drives the price.  Besides, they're no more reliable than an S5, possibly even less from what I've seen & experienced.

But yes, they have a pretty GUI, which also counts for nothing.

Allinvain is completely correct about his assertment and the price of hardware. And he buys to make money, therefore of course he is going to offer only what allows him to turn a profit, this isn't charity work here...

If you do not know how to use the software options, it is a ovner mistake.

I have a cheap night and weekend electricity.
I like this option, that with  the cheaper night electricity SP20 running at maximum and more economically wit day electricity.

I like  eight pool addresses and drag and drop function to change the pool addresses.

Further, we can look at this from a historic perspective. Has there ever been a mining product from Bitmain in the past that only had a single batch? Even the U3 had 2 batches, and it probably was a niche item.

Yes.
Antminer S3++
and Antminer L1
https://www.bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020140830074550960Um75pnzg06E3

I think that we are still seeing S5+ batches, but only used miners, and not before a couple of months.

With the current price any one with power price => 10 cent will have a zero profit running S3+.

...........

S3 still mining with profit.

that's quite good news, but i am really disappointed i can't even find a stock of 15 to 20 Antminer s5+ even from Bitmain official website, whenever i tried to purchase 15 upto 20 s5+ at once it's giving error that there are only very few limited available and now unfortunately all of them are gone SOLD, even i requested Bitmain for a discount and they said they would provide me discount on minimum 15 units purchase but they are not guiding how to get that discount either Sad

I am very very disappointed.

A Special Request for BITMAIN please Guide me how to get the Discount during purchase and avail 15 to 20 s5+ for me,Thank you

This train is long gone. Next comes after the two months .  Grin

Well considering that Bitmain is coming out with 0.21w/gh gear likely soon and that likely a lot of people will begin to dump this current gen of gear I'm not even sure myself what offer to make, but I will try over PM.

Almost every time to be someone with the same argument,
and make lowball offer.

SP20 are not produced in the hundreds of thousands , as S5
It is still rare miner with  very good software.

Similar software   come never with  Bitmaintech  miner.

got down to 200 on coinbase  back up to 230

my guess is bitmaintech converted all of its s-5+ sales to hard cash.

They had more the 200,000 usd in s-5+ sales

I do not believe it. Bitmain wallet

1419  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] - UK/EU only - S5 controller board complete. on: August 18, 2015, 11:59:16 AM

I'm not quite sure I understand what you are saying I'm afraid.

Do you have a controller board for sale?

Yes. If I find one or more S5 blades to replace my broken half working S5 blade.
Obviously, it takes time to find one.

Are you interested in a trade: my S5 blades for one of your SP20E's plus payment?

Sorry, there seems to be a bit of a language barrier I think  Wink

I'm not very interested,  because shipping SP20 is very difficult to arrive them not broken.
The last time I sent four miner at once in one large flat box. Each miner was wrapped in many layers bubble wrap.
All miners survived shipping.
Arrive in the original carton not broken,  is only a 66% chance. I sent three miners in the original boxes.  One has arrived broken .

SP20 shipping costs to you  is 28EUR with omniva.

1420  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] - UK/EU only - S5 controller board complete. on: August 18, 2015, 09:26:04 AM
I never heard back from Tupsu - so I'm still looking for one of these...... Smiley

Mine is currently one of the S5 miners blades  attached to two controllers. 16 pin versions

They work at different speeds and freg , as one blade is defective.
If I sell one controller , then I lose in this S5  speed  200-250 GH/s , because they do not want to work together with same controller board.
