1321  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: September 05, 2015, 10:22:32 AM
are you using the waterblock from c1 or did you order a new one from syscooling?

I used both. Some from first  C1 waterblock is missing one screw hole for S5 blade, if you want to put blades on both sides of waterblock.
1322  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5+ is available to order, 7.722TH/S 0.445J/GH on: September 05, 2015, 10:07:59 AM

I havent opened mine up.  Is it another miner that is not using the SD card?  Looked empty in your shot but thought I would check to make sure.

Thanks for all your good information you have shared.

I also have not yet been opened S5+ controller.
But he also works with S5 software . It will see only four blades.
S5 controllers work with S5+ software.
From this I conclude that both BBB are identical or interchangeable.
1323  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: September 05, 2015, 09:59:33 AM
Hi,

I have some C1 bits on ebay UK atm. (05/09/2015)  - Hashboards, Beagleboard and cable kit.

I like the C1 - i have 1 running 24/7 on stock parts  - I wonder what the total sales were for the C1's - couldn't have been more than a few thousand units.

I offered   C1 full kit  for more than a month for 0.9BTC. Nobody wants them.
I sold eventually 1/2 C1 in  S3 housing for 0.4 BTC and 2x blades for parts  0.2 BTC Total 0.6BTC

But I have left  C1 housing  for next water cooled S5 .

I sold all of my 6 x C1  upgraded for  air-cooling miners or parts only.  4x 1TH/s miner and 2x 500GH/s miner +4 blades
3.2+0.45+0.4+0.4=4.45 BTCtotal       0.74 BTC piece.

But left 6 x C1 housings with 12x water blocks( 25USD piece).
5pc of them are already water-cooled S5. A quiet winter heater.

Is it possible to just order a new controller?  Seems like that would be cheaper than waiting weeks for a response to my RMA request, mailing this monster away, and then waiting god knows how long to get a new one.

You probably only need a new BBB from some used S5 miner and S5+ firmware

1600W LEPA   is with the same PCI-E cables.
I used them in my  Antminer S2 power supplies to power 2 x S3.
1327  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Hands On] Bitmain AntMiner S5+ - Notlist3d on: September 04, 2015, 01:25:52 PM

The biggest thing I was surprised was was he mentioned his looked like it ran a month.   Mine came very clean and did not look dusty in any way.  So not sure if he got unlucky or what happened.

This was a miner, came to the old galvanized metal housing.
EDIT.

Shipped today 2 x S5+ blade to China with EMS
1.44kg
costs me 67.10 EURO

Very expensive warranty.

And they still have not sent me a replacement FAN. The recommendation was to use so long- DOMESTIC FAN

Its no coincidence now that they have sold the majority of s7 now they will ramp up the hash to squeeze you all out.. A shame really.. since we are the ones that brought this up from nothing. THE MINERS. Typical they build off the backs of us and when they are done they will throw us to the side.. This day and age Roll Eyes

Thus, nothing to do with S7
1329  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: S5+ versus S7 batch 1 on: September 04, 2015, 10:03:02 AM
I hope more from S5 as the S7

Antminer S5 in Hashnest
shop price Price: 367.0 USD(1.6032726฿)  Stock: 640

I buy last 5 x S5 from 1.4322 BTC of a piece (by buying from the market, not from the store)

S7  with 20% VAT  cost me  9.29 BTC of a piece. (If I would buy three pieces)

 S7 Specifications:

1. Ideal Hash Rate: 4.86 TH/s

9.29 BTC :4.86 TH/s = 0.00191155 BTC

S7=0.00191155 BTC from GH/s for me  (Does not account for power supplies)

S5=0.00124  BTC from GH/s  buying from Hashnest market

the difference is 0.00067155 BTC from GH/s   x S7 4860 GH/s =3.263733 BTC are each S7 expensive as hashnest "S5" with same hashrate 4860GH/s

How much does it take time, to S7 earns  3.264 BTC ?
I can  Purchase  from this 2362 GH/s  S5 hash more in hashnest. It already makes things more equal.

1330  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5+ is available to order, 7.722TH/S 0.445J/GH on: September 04, 2015, 09:21:26 AM

But the anwser is that means he has to deal with China warranty I believe.  So it's dealing with shipping there most likely.

You're right.

Well since you have grey hair for over 20 years you know that we don't live in a fair world: I see dogie as having +40 trust rating and he is complaining that he is not being paid as he should be. Not a fair world at all.

Spondoolies did not pay me 0.12 BTC which they promised to pay me in November last year.   Grin
What then to speak  of even greater amounts.

But since you announced here a long time ago , that Guy Is Your Friend , then your opinion is not particularly reliable.

offering to buy watercooled miners.
I don't need the cooling systems just boards, waterblocks and controller boards (if proprietary).
All items must be fully operational condition, I am not picky about aesthetics.
miners above 1w/gh need not apply.

offering $0.07/gh US
Based in TEXAS, USA

Must have positive feedback and willing to do escrow.

One of the options is Antminer C1

But I can sell C1 waterblocks at 25USD piece because they are also suitable for the S5.

70 USD for C1 is low

But you're close

Currently trying to focus on selling the main unit then going to other parts.

Going to put this out there.  If someone is willing to spend .45 BTC they can have the entire thing plus shipping.

1333  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Hands On] Bitmain AntMiner S5+ - Notlist3d on: September 03, 2015, 04:04:30 PM
My personal experience is still great.  I did change pools as one of mine the pool had issues.  But as far as the unit it's still running solid:

Mine certainly does not great.

Tomorrow,  I will shipp return at own expense to  China  2 x S5+ blades. They are heavy.

Their only choice for shipping is offered UPS or EMS. In any case, it is going to cost me more than 50 euro shipping costs.

I am very disappointed with their warranty service.

Although the miner arrived DOA, they refuse to send me UPS shipping label.

I remember when S1 arrived DOA , they sent in without the hassle UPS shipping label.

The main thing is, the S5+ miners are heavily used. At least a month.Mine was full of black dust from the inside .

The recommendation,  do not buy it. Poor warranty service.

If you need to buy, open immediately a courier. If something is broken, do not accept package.
But even than, Bitmain can take from you miner  return cost
.

Anyone know approximately how loud the S7 fans are? S3 loud or S5 loud? Big difference there. I'm about to sell my two Avalon 4.1's to upgrade. ............

The correct answer is   S5+ loud.

I think we are talking about separate things here, you are somehow linking Spondoolies decision to offer, or not offer home miners to the fact that dogie may or may not have a claim.. About as relevant to this post as your hair color is...

To dogie's point about Spondoolies being online every day, wondering why they haven't spoken up and first thought that comes to mind is that they may be pursuing legal action against him, that is one prime reason to go silent.

Spondoolies can not do anything to answer.
They have already sent their spokesperson to clarify.

Don't base your opinion on a single isolated incident like this reported by a (very) problematic dude without hearing the other side story.

Edited: Added more words to my statement.

I don't know the other side of the story. I am judging by what is posted here and for the moment it seems that only dogie is complaining. Do you know the other side? You don't, but it seems that you made your judgement already without hearing the other side story.

1336  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 02, 2015, 07:54:35 PM

What's laughable is all of the comments on them becoming KNC like with a one sided post from someone regularly bashed on the forms for having shit integrity. I am very interested in what Spondoolies has to say and am keeping an open mind given the circumstances..

If you  really are  open mind, then you can understand, that home miners is no longer needed from Spondoolies.

And in this fight, I'm in dogies  side.
Although I does not like him at all, he is currently right.

Oops, we can not sell miners anymore, is no excuse for not complying the given  promises.
1337  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 30 Antminer S5 Units 1.45 BTC each (Only Canada) on: September 02, 2015, 03:04:00 PM
Hi,

I'm just curious.
Why are you selling the antminers S5 ?

Answering to your curiosity.
I  only sell my miners for single reason. I purchase  them back  from Hashnest. Their electricity is cheaper than my own.  Today 117 x S5

My home miners will be S7 and water cooled S5 sets  in living rooms for the winter heating.
1338  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Second hand S5 for Bitmain, are they worth ? on: September 02, 2015, 10:41:25 AM

Or 1 year + with the current difficulty increase trend, hard to tell.
With the S7 around the corner, its probably better to wait for the mass sell. Just since the new chip announcement the market place already started having tons of S5 for sale.

I do not see anywhere tons of S5 for sale.  Why?

1339  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: September 02, 2015, 09:56:59 AM
so c1 wb and s5 wb are identical?

another question: does the s7 blade fit in the c1 case? or that case from syscooling. or is the blade too tall?

thank you!

The length of S7 is 301 mm

The length of S5+ is only 275 mm

The lenght of S5+ blade is 180 mm , height 127 mm at lower edge

The length and height of S7 blade are not known.

does the s7 blade fit in the c1 case? I think it does not fit .
